Eyemart Express advertises "one hour" for glasses, I went back after 5 hours and my glasses still weren't ready. I have known it to take over 24 hours. False Advertising is illegal.

I wish I had found this site before I purchased my glasses! I asked repeatedly when I was purchasing my glasses if I was
covered for scratches. I made it clear that I wanted whatever coverage necessary to get my glasses fixed if they were scratched. I was assured they were covered and were scratch resistant. 3 weeks after purchasing two pair, one pair popped a lens which fell on the floor.I was able to get the lens back in the rim using a microfiber cloth they gave me at the store, but I still had a scratch. When I went to the store, they said I had to buy an additional coverage to get my glasses repaired. They insisted the glasses were scratch proof, and I had gouged my glasses! I told them, so what you are saying is they are not scratch proof...we went back and forth for a few minutes in a crowded store. I told them, thanks, I've learned my lesson. I will post my complaints everywhere I can find a legitimate place to do so, and plan to inform the
Better Business Bureau, and I will contact my insurance company which covers NC state employees to warn them about Eye-mart Express.

As far as the advertising ... Most prescriptions done in about an hour. Also like almost every company ... the lowest price is advertised. If you want more, you shouldn't complain about paying for it. I habe had some unfortunate encounters with by places regarding service and sometimes quality however I always approach things positively and it always works out for me. People should realize stuff happens. How you approach a situation is what determines how it will be resolved.

Glasses in "About" 1 hour. They can't read the future and promise your glasses in an hour. Too many variables with lab machinery.

I purchased glasses for myself {1 pr.} and 2 grandchildren{2 pr.ea.} in Sept. 2009. The lenses didn't fit properly into the frames of any of them: keep popping out on mine and one grandchild and the others the lenses weren't cut large enough to fit the frames. I've taken them back 3 times plus tried to have it resolved when originally ordered. My lenses were to have a med. brown tint which was so dark my eyes couldn't be seen. They sanded some of the tint off and the lenses are now WAVY and it affects the prescription. They finally super-glued the lenses into the frames which DIDN'T HOLD ! I also waited several hours each visit. I paid nearly $600.00 for them and could have gone elsewhere and gotten them for less. What I thought was going to be 2 pr. for $89.95 turned out to be over $150.00 with nothing special not even designer frames. They gave several reasons for it and I over heard them telling other customer something altogether different and charged them more than the advertised price also. Needed them quick for the children starting school but didn't make the same mistake this yr.
