I have had multiple telephone conversation and email correspondences with Steve Villani at eyeglasslensdirect.com. He stated the company will only issue a 50% credit of $42 to remake the unsatifactory lenses I have received from eyeglasslensdirect.com. The guaranee advertised on the site is "100% satisfaction guanteed" -- not having to pay an additional 50% towards making them right.

I am 100% dissatisfied with the lenses eyeglasslensedirect.com made. The bifocal correction is placed so low on the lens as to be functionally useless. More than half of the 28mm bifocal correction circle is missing from the finished lens.

After several refusals to honor their 100% satisfaction guarantee, Mr. Villani wrote that eyeglasslensdirect.com would remake the lenses at no additional charge but since then he has recanted.

I want eyeglasslensdirect.com to honor the stated "100% satisfaction guaranteed" and remake the lenses. In the alternative, a refund.

I have used them in the past with great results. I called with questions and received a prompt, informative response. I am ordering new lenses for my wife's glasses today.

Stay away from this online store. They are middle men not the store lens makers. If the order is wrong, they make very little and can't refund nor make changes as they have to repay their third party service. Customer service is ruid and only cares about bottom line. I recently paid over $150 for lens they sent are wrong. Period. I can't see. LOST MONEY . Think about it, when picking a lens company, use one that you can try the product and give back if you can't see. DO NOT trust in others to provide you with what you have paid for. It is a dog eat dog world out there. Companies like this only care about one thing, there little exchange of money they receive for purchasing leads from google adwords. Use lens crafter, vision works.

This is the only website I have found with best prices and selection of lenses -- and I shopped and called a lot of stores!
I received my glasses after 2.5 weeks. I was impressed with the quality of the coating and the overall work.
I'm ready to place another order again.

I have bought two sets of lenses from Mr Villani and have been impressed with both the quality and speed of his customer service, and the quality (and price) of the lenses. I'm planning on placing another order shortly.

I had a great experience with this company. Steve (the owner) answered my questions immediately and clearly. I sent in a pair of ic! Berlin frames and requested single-vision Crizal Avance lenses. They received my frames on 2/1 and shipped the finished product on 2/10. The lenses are beautiful and perfectly made. I'm very happy not only about the money I saved but also about the overall experience with Eyeglass Lens Direct. I will certainly use them again.

Mr. Steve called me and offered the replacement at no charge. I think that we miscommunicated at first. Through the latest conversation with him, i feel it is not fair for him to get that comment above and I promise him to take it down However, the website only allows the users to delete complaints, not comments. Therefore, I hope everyone should disregard the previouse commnet after reading this.

This place scams people. I ordered crizal lens and they sent me a defective one which is the left lens. I talked to Steve and I sent it back twice for replacement. Both times they said they would replace it. However, they never did and sent them back to me the same one. Therefore, the warranty is over. The exactly same problem still occurs on the same lens which is blurry compared with the other one. The reason i am writing this is to make sure nobody make the same mistake. Please do not let their low price fool you. Costco or your local eyeglass stores are better. This is my first time as my last time ordering eyeglass online.
PS. I wish i had read the comment above before i ordered lenses from them.

I had only one phone conversation with this customer. Unfortunately it was after this complaint was filed. The customer ordered a lens type that he didn't like and asked to change to a different lens type. I agreed and offered a 50% credit toward the lenses he wanted. He said he understood and would think about what he wanted to do. The next thing that happened was he filed a complaint and then demanded a full refund. We did made several attempts to resolve the issue including a remake of the existing lenses, making a different lens type and also offered full refund. We eventually gave this person a full refund as requested and he also kept the lenses in question. This person also stated after his demands were met, he would either remove this complaint, or place a positive comment about his demand being satisfied, but this never occurred. From the thousands of customers that we have, this is the only person that has ever filed a complained about our company. Our ultimate goal is to earn a lasting relationship with all of our customers and to do what is right to resolve any issues.
