Like the previous complaint, every inquiry I have recieved has been an obvious scam, so I decided to play one along. This is the message I got;

message from: chrisbailey001@gmail.com
date received: Jul 11 8:49 pm
regarding: 1996 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham
Hello nwride,

Listing these comments concern:

contact name:Chris
Below is an inquiry about your listing.

I am interested in your car listed on ExpertAutos.i want to know, if it is still available for sale and let me know bottom price you are willing to let it to go.i want you to let me know the following

Are you the real owner?
How long its been yours?
Where did you buy it from?
What is the present condition
How much is the Bottom Price?

E-mail me some more recent pictures, if possible.i am located in NY.Thanks.

So, I started contacting "Chris" and eventually he actually sent me a check, next day air on UPS.

The company name on the check is that of a well known computer softwar design and engineering company. The bank branch in Redwood City, CA is a real branch. I called them and the account number on the check is a real account. Then, I called the software company and they put me in touch with their legal department. The lady I spoke with has had experience with this before but she thought they had corrected it. She put me in touch with the head of their legal dept. I sent him copies of the check and the UPS address label.

The shipping label address is an actual company in Wassau, WI, a well know paint company.

A contact that "Chris" sent me near Chicago was a phony street address.

"Chris" sent me a check for $4400 over the asking price, wanting me to send the balance to his "shipper".

I took the check to my bank and they said that it looked real good but too good to be true, but that they would have cashed it for me, with no hold, as I am a good customer. NO THANKS.

As far as "Chris" knows, I'm working on getting the check cashed to send his "shipper" the balance.

I'm going to get the FBI into this, as this is attempted interstate bank fraud. My local cop shop is checking the check and mailing envelope for fingerprints but who knows how many people have handled it.

As for Expert Autos, I have been trying their 800 # for two weeks, only to get a busy signal and they haven't responded to my Emails.

Be careful out there.

Expertautos.com - if you have a complaint call me maybe we can join forces
United States
Phone: 9187876633

If anyone out there has legitimate complaint's about expertautos.com please contact me My E-Mail is loudee0510@aol.com or call me at 918-787-6633 maybe we can join force's and bring a class action lawsuit against this joke of a company, and if you are thinking about advertising with them beware do research and then advertise at your OWN RISK, AND TRUST ME IT WILL BE RISKY, I WOULD SUGGEST autotrader, craigslist, ebay, anyone other than expertautos. not only will expertautos lie to you about there credit rating, but they also may tell you they advertise on network tv, well that is what they say but i am disabled and watch alot of tv so i know they dont advertise in all the places they say, come to find out if they do advertise on tv they do so on channels like the golf channel. that is not confirmed but even if they do that is not what i call or consider a very good place to advertise for this kind of business. there credit rating is an F due to operating without a liscense, I urge anyone with a legitimate complaint to file your complaint with the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU! people like this should not be aloud to operate in my opinion with or without a liscense they will tell you anything to get your money and YES THAT MEANS THEY LIE THROUGH THEIR TEETH! and if you still choose to advertise with them that is fine by me but when you start getting scam letter's by the DOZEN be careful because if you tell the truth in your ad they will make it where you can not access your account directly, and they will edit the ad you paid for without talking to you first these are fact's.!!!

Expertautos.com - scam
Expert Autos
United States

You can lie all you want. We are a dealership that paid a lot of money for you all to advertise then have financing for our customers. As you know, when OUR customers applied, they were sent to New Car Dealerships to get financing for one of their vehicles. You and I spoke approximately one month ago about another situation and you sat there and lied to me. FOR EVERYBODY OUT THERE, DO NOT USE EXPERT AUTOS. They don't return money or phone calls when they have been busted. We are filing a report with the BBB and having this investigated further. I have submitted all information to the authorities. I gave them until NOON today to have my money reimbursed, they did not so we are proceeding further. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, DO NOT USE EXPERT AUTOS, RECYCLE PUBLISHER OR ANY OTHER COMPANY THAT THIS CONS INVENT. I have the documentation and our customers that are going forward with us on this. I AM MAKING IT KNOWN EVERYWHERE WHAT CROOKS YOU ALL ARE.
