Expedia / cancelled my reservation then I have to prove it was cancelled

On Nov 10 I made a reservation thru Expedia. I found out from another hotel Expedia doesn't get reservations made in a timely manner so when I arrived at the hotel at 10 pm that night, with my reservation, Expedia had cancelled it. Probably more truthfully it never went through. So Visa is charging me because Expedia says they were willing to provide the service. That is not true. I will never use Expedia again!
