Xcel Energy turning my lights back on

My lights was turns off while I was at work and it 16 degrees outside. So when they turned them off I called and paid for them right away. My son said a man can turn them on and he said he will be right back and never came back. He was white we are black. I told them I a baby in the house and the temp is still dropping. Derrick the excel operator just said yep. I hope to god karma bites his [censored] asap. Why must people wait 24 hours to get their [censored] back on after they paid. In the dead as winter. Cutting people light off for that little piece of change.

Xcel Energy electricity

I don't understand why, it didn't take a special crew to disconnect my electricity, but now after I got the bill paid in full, and it has been over two days, since I paid. I keep getting told my electricity would be connected by now. But then when I called again earlier this evening, I was put off again, and told I have to wait until this supposed trouble shooting crew is done fixing customers power outages. And now I have to wait until Monday. So I guess I am not a good enough customer to be valued, and get prompt service. Oh but Xcel had no problem coming out and disconnecting my electricity right away. But when it comes to connecting my electricity, they want to keep jerking me around. So is Xcel ever planning on connecting my electricity, or are they just going to keep stringing me along, ? I am glad that they find it amusing to keep leading me on. So on Monday, what r they going to tell me. What that I have to wait until whenever they feel like it. Well thanks for nothing. I hope you guys are getting a good laugh, at my expense.

Xcel Energy supervisor - neal, identifier # - 4597

Hi,
I have recently moved to a new residence and for the first bill, I was charged a bill that was high. I called customer service couple of times and they mentioned they will come out with a solution. I spoke to a person today called Neal who was the supervisor and he was ridiculously rude and unhelpful. He was very rude to me and even after I mentioning to him that I have been calling as one of your employees had mentioned that you will help me, he was still rude and unhelpful. I really want someone to call me at [protected] and raise a case against him since he provided the most disgusting customer service ever anyone can receive. I even mentioned that this is not the way you speak to a pregnant lady like and he was still rude and unhelpful.

Xcel Energy cut off and turn on of services

I had paid electric bill but did not call in time to give confirmation of payment. So they shut electric off on 8/2. Called in morning of 8/3 and girl said they'd be at house to turn electric on between 3-11pm. Well my son called to find out when they'd be at house because it was already 3:30. The lady on phone said that the field tech cut power line to pole because we have dogs so it could take up to 5 business days. So then I call because that is unacceptable. The field tech could of came to front door to knock and tell us to put dogs inside. They did not have to cut the whole power line from pole. It's 100° in Amarillo, TX. This is the most ridiculous way to shut off a customer's power. Totally unsafe as well.

Xcel Energy xcel energy driver

On 7/23/18, I was driving into work from Rogers, MN to St. Paul, MN and there was stop and go traffic as usual at 6:40 am. I was driving fine in my lane staying far enough behind the vehicle in front of me but not too far for safety. In the right lane next to me, an Xcel energy Tahoe pulled right in front of me and from my point of view almost hit my front end bumper and the back end bumper of the vehicle in front of him that he was passing, but did not, and then proceeded to merge back into the right lane after passing the vehicle. I will be making a formal complaint with the company about their employee aggressive driving habits. This happens way too much and can get someone seriously injured or killed on the highway.

Xcel Energy xcel energy

Xcel is excellent at hounding customers with email marketing to sign up for various programs, but I guarentee, the URL's / technical back end that you're directed to will NEVER WORK. Links are always broken and when you call in to speak with the first level of Customer Support, they have no idea what you're talking about and will likely transfer you to the wrong department. If you want to save yourself hours of infuriating conversation, just unsubscribe from all Xcel marketing emails.

Xcel Energy home electrical outages

Yesterday, 7/15/2018, our power went off TWICE! This is a recurring theme in this zip (80128) and we are tired of it! I have lived in CO all my life and have NEVER had such unreliable service. What gives? Why cant you do something preemptive, instead of just being reactive and putting bandages on this problem. Is the power grid not sufficient for this area? Husband late to work again because the "fix' was completed when we re-set the alarms and went to bed. How many 'late again' excuses (boss, our power went out) do you think they are going to tolerate...(Yeah, and the dog ate your homework...). Honestly, FIX THE PROBLEM! You can review out outages for 7853 S. Independence Way, Littleton, CO 80128. Nice to be the monopoly with no real accountability, huh? FEED UP.

The most useless company in America... It's been 8 hours since the tiny storm came thru my town. Only two blocks we're affected and still can't keep up. I would hate to see if hundreds of thousands of your so-called costumers electric went out. We all would f#cked... Then there is nobody but an answer machine to call for updates and complaints. Because this company is money hungry cowards that can't handle there [censored]ty service. Get out of the business if you can't do it.

Xcel Energy regularly occurring power outages on my block

Hello I'm a customer at 885 dayton ave in St paul, mn. My block consistently has power outages and they do usually restore power within a couple of hours. But since this is happening 3-4 times a yr so approximately every 3-4 months perhaps there is a larger repair that needs to be addressed? Could you please figure out the root problem of our frequent power outages and address the issue? I've lived on this block almost 10 yrs and this has been a problem the entire time I've lived here. Xcel Energy service reconnection

On Saturday June 16, a storm came and knocked over a neighbors tree and it snapped out line to our house. The line ripped the meter from the wall. It needed to be repaired. On Tuesday June 19th repairs were completed and the city inspector called in to have our line reconnected. I was told someone would be out that evening. We waited until 12: 00 am nobody showed up. Today June 20 called again at 9:00 in the morning. I was told someone would be out here today. Nobody came. My wife called the business line and a dispatchert old her they would be here before 6:00PM It is 11:44 PM and nobody is here. We have five children and pets. We have rented hotels and I am sleeping in my car tonight. I am beyond frustrated at Xcel for the run around and inconvenience to my family!

Xcel Energy net metering/ solar for homes

Excel processing department is discriminating against solar being installed on homes.

David Wynkoop is rude and does not give confidence to helping the project get done. Are they looking to be bribed ? or just just trying to get something ? Is excel realy the problem or the men with a big head ? hinting to help if things can be worked out ?

OK am I the only one who is having problems here with xcel ?

Xcel Energy energy billing

Xcel incorrectly assigned meters at my duplex. One year later I received a bill for $292 because of this mistake. My landlord called to get charges reduced/ dropped and was told someone would look into it. Upon calling Xcel lied and said no one had called and no notes had been sent (a complete lie). I am disappointed in their refusal to help fix their mistake. It was Xcel that read the meters and assigned them incorrectly. Had I known I was using that much energy I would have changed my usage. It is rediculous they refuse to help one bit, the customer service was terrible, and I can not wait to be done dealing with this company.

Xcel Energy billing

I received 2 Xcel Energy bills in December 2017. One was for $89 and the other for $673. I immediately called Xcel and after investigation they told me my meter was broke and this was electrical charges for June 2017 to present. I said I do not own a METER you do, and I should not be charged for past usage because they had a broken meter. They replied there are a lot of older meters and they do break... being in business they should be replacing them before they break...not my responsibility. They asked me if I reviewed my bills...I said no I just pay them...I now have to review every bill to ensure they are accurate, because Xcel does not do their job? There is a small charge on the bills, I asked what that is for they replied: for people who cannot afford electricity, and to my surprise for METER MAINTENANCE, so now I'm paying for a broken meter?
I asked why I was not notified, they said I was, they had a wrong phone number on my account. The 2nd number was correct, I never received a call, when asked who called me, and they said it is a recorded call...so they use Robo calls to inform people something may be wrong? Without notification or my knowledge Xcel came on my property and replaced their meter early December. After my calls to Xcel, I get a letter in the mail explaining what happened…a little late. So in summary this company does whatever they please and takes responsibility for nothing, we are like puppets because we need the services they offer.
According to Xcel (I was told) they have the "right" (by law) to charge for the used electricity. I would say our laws are wrong.
This bill would be devastating to someone making minimum wage, but Xcel doesn't care, they take no ownership, they just want their money.

Xcel Energy customer service

I am using the term "customer service" loosely. Spoke with Tim in your Wisconsin service center at 5:45 pm mountain Tues 11/28 and he should be fired. Not only did he have no information about our six hour outage he clearly didn't care. He refused to give me his last name or ID number but his accent was quite distinct and he confirmed the call center location.
You should hire people that actually care and can solve problems, not people that clearly just want to collect a paycheck without doing anything of value
He was rude, unhelpful and completely incompetent

Xcel Energy creditors and customers service representatives

My mom is trying to get the electricity turned on in her name, we have called numerous times to see what the progress is on getting the electricity back on. Each time we keep getting told another week or the creditors haven't looked at her info and today the latest is that it's another 24 to 48 hrs for the creditors to look at her information to determine if they'll turn the electricity back on. There are children in our home that were trying to get the electricity back on but no help from your customer service representatives what so ever. It's going on a week now since we haven't had electricity. The representative today was rude and could've also taken this approach Alot different than talking to my mom the way she did.

Xcel Energy electricity outage

We received 1/2” of snow. My electricity has been out 24 hours. I’ve called multiple times to be told there is no update on when the power will be restored. Walnut Hills has 60 homes, in this subdivision, which loses power regularly. Why has this been addressed and fixed? I’ve lived here 17 years; you’ve had the time. Excel certainly doesn’t miss a beat billing us.

Xcel Energy excel energy company vehicle

I was driving to work on Saturday August 5th, 2017. The Excel Energy vehicle pulled up beside me and my lane was ending so I signaled to get over and slowed down and got over behind the driver. He then proceeded to make hand gestures at me while driving very slowly and putting on his brakes in front of me. This went on for a few miles. I felt threatened by him and did not feel safe driving behind him while he was acting that way. I think he was trying to teach me a lesson for pulling in behind him too closely. Maybe I did but, I do not think this is a good way to represent Excel Energy while driving in a company vehicle.
The incident happened at Alameda Ave and University Blvd at around 7:30 am.

Xcel Energy stealing from my bank account and my landlord because the money taken was for the roof over my childrens head!

Excel energy my electric company went into my bank account and took 181.00 dollars out after I had already made my payment. What really angers me is that they knew about the payment I had just made and still took the money out. The excuse they gave me was since I didn't tell them verbally that i had made a payment already on my own and not to take out electronically that it wasn't thier fault. To me common sense would tell you that if someone already pays you you don't go and steal money and think that a poor excuse is going to somehow mask the theft that took place. It just blows my mind how greedy this already rich company can be. Now i got electric but no house for my children. 181.00 dollars extra dollars is nowhere near enough to put a family out of their home. I mean 181.00 stolen dollars. Your company needs to stop using the term valued customer. You guys dont value not one of us customers!

Xcel Energy billing/service

I had been calling in since January, of this year, due to high bills trying to figure out why my bill was over $200. Typically, I paid close to $100 maybe a little over. The reps and supervisor told me to do a breaker test, which I did, and never found anything wrong. My husband and I are very conscious about leaving appliances or lights off if not needed. I called to find out if I was doing the test wrong and was told I was doing it right however it took until mid June for one representative to tell me the right way to do the breaker test and narrow down what may be the issue. All previous reps and the supervisor were giving incorrect instructions on how to complete the breaker test. I understand it is a customer's responsibility to learn how to manage their energy, however, when I am calling in since January to learn the right way to do things and being told incorrect instructions from reps and a supervisor something isn't right. I have paid hundreds of extra dollars in these past months in part because all, except the last employee, have not been able to provide correct information and honestly I do believe I should be reimbursed at least a portion of the extremely high bills.

Xcel Energy electricity

We live at 535 Cook St. Denver, CO 80206. During the first 12 days of June we have already had 3 power outages on June 2, 4, and 12. The outages are typically confined to a few blocks near our house and it is always the same region while our neighbors, including those across the street on the east side of Cook St. have power. The outage covers from St. Paul St to the west side of Cook.

We had 3-4 outages last summer also, with the same blocks being out. The frequency of the outages is ridiculous but the fact that XCel keep fixing what appear to be a "band-aid" solution but doesn't address the fundamental issue is strange as it must be costing you (and us as your customers) a lot more than if the problem were resolved permanently. As block captains, we and our neighbors are increasingly frustrated by this situation and will raise it to the Public Service commission if it isn't resolved.

Xcel Energy gas off for 7 weeks during hail storm and winter storm

No gas no heat no hot water for 7 weeks is a nightmare. Came out to my house a month ago and promises to rush the order for the coldness in 2 weeks. Last two weeks been calling customer service always given different responses. Finally last week a representative called and saw work has been scheduled and will be done last Friday or Saturday. Took the days off and no one showed up. Called this Monday morning and rep said no work schedule or application has been set up. Need to start over and nothing else can be done. My family has been thru hail storm and snow storm freezing in the house with no hot food no hot water. We can't afford to live in a hotel until this is done.
