I received a phone call from this company in december and was told that for a monthly fee of 45 pound i would get a good amount of entries into the euro lottery at a price of 0.05 each and was informed that the first payment would be taken from my bbank account on 14th of feb 2010 and that i could canncel my membership if i wished to at any time. They took thhe monthly fee out on the 1st of feb 2010 and i have since called them to cancel my mebership and have now bbeen informed thatt they will continue to take the 45 pound monthly fee out for another two months as apperently a customer must stay with them for 3 months before being able to cancel their membership.I hhad no jjoy in the phone call about cancellation with them and even after telling them thhat there was going to be possibilities thatt the amount may not bbe in my account due to lack of funds to which they replied we will still try and attempt to remove the money and will keep trying until it is possible to get it...This to me seems like a big scam that i would like to warn others about and to be careful if they receive phone calls from this company...

I canceled my request to be a part of euro chance and they sent me a letter to say they have confirmed my cancellation.
For 3 months after canceling they still take money out of my account even with it being blocked, how I don't know.

After reporting them they promised I'd get a full refund of £250 back. I have never received it. Instead they took it out and left me overdrawn on my account.

Is there anyway of getting this money back. I'm due to have a baby next month and I need the money for my child.

Please be aware of them.

FURTHERMORE,
HAD ANYONE ACTUALLY BEEN ABLE TO LOG IN TO THEIR ACTUAL EUROCHANCE EMAIL ADDRESS ACCOUNT?
NOT YOUR EUROCHANCE ACCOUNT FOR LOTTERY INFO ETC,
BUT LOGGING INTO THE ACTUAL EMAIL ADDRESS AS YOU HOTMAIL, OR GMAIL, OR YAHOO? (you know? u can try this way: type, just as you would if you havnt bookmarked your email login page, login eurochance email", and BING! nothing!
only links to their euroscam page.!the email address they give for themselves (info@eurochance...) is just for eurochance. they dont have a mailserver for public, or for this type of thing. (my google broken?)
GO ON, TRY IT.
GOOGLE FOR "LOGIN AT EUROCHANCE EMAIL"... GUESS WHAT... I CANT FIND IT'S EXISTANCE.
SO, DID ANYONE ACTUALLYMANAGE TO LOG IN TO THEIR EUROCHANCE "EMAIL" ACCOUNT TO FIND THEIR "ACTIVATION CODE"?
WELL?
I TELLYOU, IT'SNOT TO BE FOUND WITH GOIOGLE. UNLESS MY GOOGLE IS BROKEN.

my advice? RUN! cancel ALL bank debits to them. hope you havnt given them any ID info, or ... thinking of it, you gave them your bank details too?>
am writing this on behalf of a lady who is very ill.
time to take these ### to task.

I had the same problem. Go to your bank and tell them that a transaction has being put on your account and report it as fraud. They will help straight away and stop further transactions from going out of your bank to them! If you did receive stuff in the post from the eurochance100 people take that to the bank with you as this would help them.

Hello everyone. Today I received a call from [protected]. I spoke with Ashton. He told me what I can contact him on [protected] or www.eurochance100.co.uk. The same story. He told me what it's an European lottery with garanted winning. Bla bla bla ... I gave my sort code and account number details. And just after this about any payments. He said what it's a 3 month contract from February till April+5p each ticket. All information they will send to address. Also he gave a phone receiver to manager Kvintin...sorry don't know how to spell it. So I was really confused because I am a student without any incomes. So I said to him what I don't want nothing, cancel everything. He said OK. So after all stories I worrying about it anyway. Should I go to the bank and like you say to cancel a direct debit? Katie

I was sweet talked to signing by a lady (good sales people) after reading the forums I wrote to the company to cancel and waited until the direct debit showed up on my account then I manually cancelled it. Got one threatening letter so far which I shredded. They have no leg to stand on

i just got a phone call from them too, it is in relation to a prize draw i entered online to win an apple iphone. the lady who phoned was really polite though..."you have been selected from the prize draw and are one of only 99 people in the uk to be selected blablabla you heard about the bus drivers winning 32 million blablabla you will get a euro millions ticket for only 5 pence blablabla" like many of you i googled them while on the phone (gods bless google!) i did not realise that the direct debit was for 44 quid! i pleaded poverty (not far from the truth) and asked if i was still in the draw for the iphone, 10000 or a new car as the terms and conditions of the draw (that i looked up) did not stipulate i had to join their syndicate and i was assured i was...not going to hold my breath though lol. best of luck to everyone who wants out of this group and if your bank will not stop the direct debits go to the citizen advice chaps and they will give you the correct legislation to bully your bank...they work for you dont take any ###! good luck peeps keep happy

I received your package with card and everything but you did not said me when we was talking, that you will charge automatically... You may not charge me without my agree! Why you do it? When we talked you asked me my account information and promise that it will be confidential and no one can charge me!? I read your letter and did everything as you describe, wrote cancellation letter and sent it to you within 14 days after receiving this card. So refund my money immediately, i am international student here and if you will not refund my money i will complain to embassy and police! I told you that i am not sure that i will take part in this ### but anyway if its free them do it and send to me. You said that its free to register but then charge... You are liar! Robbers! Refund my money! My name is Farhad Akbarov. From Aberdeen. AB243TT

oh no! I just got woken up with a bit of a hangover by Bernice calling me. I do like a bit of a gamble, a few quid here and there on the horses or scratchcards, just for fun, nothing major. So I suppose in my sleepy state I was easily sucked in by the promise of cheap gambling. I kind of just wanted to gt her off the phone, I gave them a false date of birth and tried to give a false bank details but then the 'manager' came on and yeah, got quite agressive saying no thats not them, and told me my real one! How did he know!? AARGH. I should've just hung up, but you just get caught up in it, and stupidly, I didnt want to be rude, so just kept chatting. I hope I can talk to my bank on monday about blocking the DD. I felt so stupid, but glad to see I am not the only one to get caught up in it. Thank you everyone for sharing on this feed - I was panicking but I feel a bit better now I know I can block the DD. Good luck everyone!

i got a call yesterday he started to ask me if i do the lottery i said no and then he went off in a tangent about taking money off of euro tickets as i said i wasnt interested and he got pretty irate with me so i put the phone down i didnt give him any bank details. I then found out who they were and emailed them telling them not to contact me again. this morning i receive another email telling me they wont be able to delete my details until i get my welcome letter and tell them that i want to cancel my so called membership even though i havnt signed up for one. is tthere any chance these people could get hold of my bank details? thats what im worried about.

Thankfully I googled this company while I was receiving their call with this fantastic opportunity to join the syndicate. Very polite and plausible but quite aggressive when I told the caller I had just googled them and was not handing over my bank details to be involved in a scam where much more is taken than ever given back.they tried a few times after that but i told them to get lost

I had the phone call as well, n got asked do i play the lottery, i said yes, as soon as i said that, they give me the ### details n asked for my bank details, silly cow me, did. What i shudve done is told them to FCK OFF n hung up on them, which we all shudve done! So i still need to cancel my d/debit with the bank before they dive into my bank for the next payment. I say we all report them to WATCHDOG, n any other authorities?! DeeBDav, PLZ CHECK THE NEW ADDRESS OUT and LET US ALL KNOW IF IT'S ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE SAME SO-CALLED COMPANY or even if it's another that's TRYING IT ON? from just jules

I have been paying into this for months, i do received the numbers, and only on the 1st march find £2.70 credited to my account, small sum considering the £44.00 per month.
I believe when i received this agreement that it stated it was a 2 year contract, need to check, however on what i have just found out from you all, i have just cancelled my Direct debit with my bank, see if they want to take me to court, had enough of my money, NO MORE!

My son who has learning disabilites has been caught by this scam. We immediately wrote to the address on the 'membership' letter and sent it recorded delivery but this has now been returned by royal mail as 'not known'. Yesterday he received another letter from them (showing a different address) informing him about his 'membership agreement'. His direct debit had been cancelled at the bank so no money should be taken but they have his details and phone number so he is vunerable. Can anyone advise what the next step should be - should I write again to the 'new' address or just leave it?

You can Cancel all direct Debits from your bank and they can not do a thing about it you are only bound to inform them you are doing so so even if you do have the money once your bank cancels the debot they can not try to take it and you will not get charged by the bank. chances are they are not likely to go to a debt agency to recover the money because you have purchased no product or long term service so technically you owe them nothing as you have signed no agreements to that effect. so just cancel the direct debit at the bank and open a new account they can not draw money from an account that does not Exist.
