eTravel scam

This company is a rip off. I was contacted today by a rep who informed me that I had paid for a trip to orlando and daytona beach florida a two yrs ago. He indicated that I needed to give $99.00 in order to protect my 400.00 that I previously paid. Not thinking, I jumped at the chance. I gave him my c. C. #and he taped the conf. After hanging up I immediately realized that it may be a scam. I tried calling the numbers he gave me and I went to their website. There was a problem with the numbers and the website was generic. I then called my bank and I reported my c. C. Lost, in an attempt to stop all transactions. I then called the number on etourandtravel instead of etravel which the rep previously gave me. I finally got a rep who stated that I give them 24 hrs call back to cancel. She was very vague. I knew better then to give anyone my c. C. Numbers over the phone. Beware they are rip offs. They cant be contacted after they get your money. There is no such trip or reservations.

Do NOT USE MYTRIP they will steal your money and wont give you an answer ON TIME.

So i got my ticket to go back to Ecuador on August 15 2017. I wanted to change my flight to go back earlier, but the charges to do so were waaay over the top, between $1.200 – $1.500 (i ticket that was around $300) so it was better for me to just wait to go back on the initial date.

On FRIDAY OCTOBER 27 i get an email from MYTRIP saying this

“We have received a notification in our system that the status of one or more of the flights in your reservation has been changed/cancelled by the airline.”
I called them on Monday 30 because AND BE CAREFULL WITH THIS, this company only works from Monday to Friday from 9h00 – 17h00 and Saturdays from 9h00 – 13h00 Madrid time, so i was not able to communicate with them in my schedule (a travelers schedule which is a common thing between people that is TRAVELING right?) Anyway, in this call, which by the way they record, the lady who I spoke with told me that in fact the LATAM flight was cancelled (I also made my research in the airline website and Google flights and the flight was no longer available, not appearing in the search). So she told me they would contact me back to define my refund.

So on NOVEMBER 4 I sent and email because I had no answer yet.

Since they didn’t answer my emails, I call back (spending my Skype money, because of course this “company” doesn’t have a chat, Skype line or anything that will make a better experience or service for their clients). Rhein, answer the call (I ask for a name this time since the last time the lady didn’t answer back and I wanted someone behind my case).

Again, they told me that indeed they flight was canceled, that they were sorry for not answering back and they are going to talk to the airline just to confirm what happened and get back to me. This was on NOVEMBER 7, and they also ask me to give them 48 hours to give me a answer.

My return ticket was suppose to be for NOVEMBER 14, by this time, since I got no answer since my first call and emails I got another ticket to go back to Ecuador on this day the 7 of NOVEMBER (because I cannot stay in a country without a return ticket just because MY TRIP didn’t answer back and i assume they were going to do the right thing, which was give me a full refund).

Since they don’t work 24/7 like most travel agencies do, they call me on NOVEMBER 9 at 3am to ask me the following: “Apologized for that early call. We would like to request the new itinerary that you booked and you have flown so that we can use that document to request full refund from the airline. If you have a copy of that itinerary that you have bought and flown, please send it to us and we will forward it to the airline for them to know that you are in Ecuador already.” I was already in Ecuador by then and of course I send them the screenshot of my ticket. I think in this call they told me that my flight was in fact not canceled but change. THEY TOLD ME THIS 5 DAYS BEFORE I WAS SUPPOSE TO FLY.

And after that I got no answer back. I sent an email on NOVMEBER 13

On NOVEMBER 14, they answer to my previous emails:

“Good Day!
I received your email and I would like to inform you that as of the moment we are still awaiting the airlines response. I am chasing the airlines to get there answer since the first day we talked and as of the moment I do not have the answer yet. Rest assured that I am working on our request with them. Please wait for the next update.
For any further information please don't hesitate to contact us.

On NOVMEBER 15 they ask for the screenshot where they say the flight was cancelled. “”Something that they already had and I also reply from that email to them. Just in case and to make sure to follow the process I resend the email in a screenshot.
“Dear Ms. CAMILA PINTO,
Good Day!
Latam Airlines is requesting for the email you received stating that your flight was cancelled. Please forward that Cancellation email to us so that we can send it to the airline.
For any further information please don't hesitate to contact us.”
At this point i feel like they are just making me lose time or trying to make me tired. They should just refund me and deal with the logistics with the airline by themselves.

On NOVEMBER 17 I get a “Rate us email” follow by this email.

Dear Ms. CAMILA PINTO,
We would like to inform you that we have an answer from LATAM airlines. As per LATAM, they can not authorized full refund of the ticket unless you have an email from LATAM stating that your flight got cancelled. If you have an email from the airline then they can ask a waiver from their headquarters a waiver.
For any further information please don't hesitate to contact us.

On NOVEMBER 19 I re explained everything to them again, trying to make them understand how is this no fare and is disrespectful since they are the ones that send and confirm the email.

I have no answer. I send a email on NOVMEBER 24 “Hello,

Im still waiting for the refund or at least an answer about who can i escalate this issue.”
I get no answer to this email either.

On NOVEMBER 27 i resend the previous email.

And today NOVEMBER 28 i get this email:

Dear Ms/Mr CAMILA PINTO,
We would like to inform you that for any change or cancellation our agency charges $50.00. In case of cancellation your e-ticket fare is non-refundable, and the refundable amount is less than our service fee of $50.00. Therefore, if you choose to proceed with the cancellation of your ticket, no amount will be refunded.

To which i answer this: “I DID NOT CANCEL THE TICKET! you send me an email telling me that was cancel/change when i call YOU confirm this so ITS YOUR FAULT i have been over this issue for weeks, even before i got my new plane ticket to come back to Ecuador because YOU took so long in give an answer back and i could wait anymore. This is your responsability.

I want to speak to someone in charge or this website or who should i address a demand?”
CAN YOU BELIVE THIS? These guys are thieves masked on an online company.

They have total responsibility for this; MYTRIP was the one sending the first email with the “update concerning my flight” and then confirming that my flight was canceled, and then saying that they will make a refund after they can verify that I was already in Ecuador. And of course because i got my ticket from them, i pay them and they will have to answer!

I WANT MY MONEY BACK.

I have been really patient about this whole issue, but this is too much. Is not only the ticket, my credit card charges fees for this, my Skype credit to call them, my energy, my time and all the trouble they gave me to answer with that?
I have been doing my research about them and I know I’m not the only one, if anyone else feels like they have been robed from MY TRIP contact me in this review so we can talk about a way to make justice with them.. By the way I’m posting this review on every portal and platform I can.

eTravel they have my creidit card number

They called me at home to tell me that I WON a trip to Orlando Florida and all I had to pay is $398 dollars. I was unsure that I should give my credit card over the phone. I asked her if I could get her phone number or internet site where I could purchase the package. She got totally irate and very pushy. She kept on demanding my credit card number. I told her I did not feel comfortable giving my credit card information over the phone. She responded that she did not want to me and my family to come to Florida. She then hung up on me.

The etravel connect company by this website: www.etravelconnect.com is a scamming company preying on travellers who are not well informed. They put a very low price to lure people to take their packages. When you take their packages, they will then inform you that the price didn't include service charges, admin fees, taxes, tip fees, etc. After everything is included, the price is usually double the original amount. On top of all these, which is really the trigger of why I am so angry, is that they even tell me that the hotel rates on their website are PER PERSON PER ROOM...

Which hotel charges per person per room? This is a total scam! How about giving us per person per travel agent then?

I got a travel voucher from etravel. I went to a 90 min. presentation at a local Holiday Inn. I registered online and even got an email confirming that they got it and that I would get my package. I had to show them my driver's license and a major credit card for ID purposes at the presentation and I was stupid enough to do so. I never got my package of course. Why don't undercover agents do this and bust them on site Also, why do hotels let them use their venues for these scams?

I just got the phone call as well from a [protected] which says its an Orlando number but of coarse computer's allow you to change a number your calling from to any number I was told. I was offered a 99.00 deal with up to 5 ppl for 2 separate vacations I just had to do a 2 hour tour at the hotel which one was the Sheridan and the other was the Hilton. I asked to get a number and name to call back so I can research and the guy that originally called me gave the phone to a lady. The lady asked me if it was that I was skeptical and I said well of coarse because it sounded to good to be true. I then said well I have to ask my fiancé before I do anything and she told me she'd wait while I called him. I then said how can I call when your on my cell and that's my only phone? She replied that I could get my contact book while having her on phone and hit my fiancés name which will call. I said well why cant I just call you back once we decide then she said well if you decide you don't want to do this then you'll be refunded your 99.00 back but had to do within 15 days. I already knew my fiancé would tell her where to go if I could've reached him but got voicemail. I then asked her how to hang up while having both on the phone and she didn't know how so I hung up on her. Obviously this is a scam or you'd get a call back number and name without any hesitation or pushiness! If anyone does take advantage of this so called deal please post us and let us know! Otherwise we need to stay ahead and help each other out. We that work hard for our money don't deserve to get scammed and definitely not let those make money off cheating people.. That's just ashame! I'd never feel right about myself doing that to ANYONE!

I just received a phone call as well from E-Tour & Travel with the same identical thing--I apparently filled out a survey and won a 5-day, 4-night trip to Orlando, along with 3-nights in Daytona Beach, a free rental car with unlimited mileage and a free Disney World ticket. I just burst out laughing and asked what was the catch, knowing all along this was a scam. I was told I had to pay the one time fee of $398 and I stopped her right there. I told her I owned time share in Orlando and have owned there for moe than 20 years so I did not need her free vacation. I was then told that the free ticket was mine and I could still reedem the ticket and was given a website and access code. I politely thanked her and immediately Googled them and the first thing that popped up was this is a scam. I'm glad I followed my instincts. As the old saying goes, if it sounds too good to be true it's usually is too good to be true. Nobody is just going to give you all of these so called accommodations for free!

I got a call today from Eva from Etour who said I filled out an online form & I won a free ticket to Disney World! I told her I never filled out anything online for a free trip so she said I filled out something about Disney World .. which I didn't. I asked her how much I would have to pay (I knew it was a scam) she said, "nothing mam it's a free ticket" all while getting an attitude! She gave me my full name and address and asked if it was correct then gave me a promo code & the website to redeem the free ticket. When I thought she was done she Immediately when into package deals rambling off stuff so fast I could barely understand her. She said the package is in such high demand that it was a one time offer only so I had to take it then. She asked me how many people I travel with and then started going on about another package. Oh and the whole phone call there was music playing in the background like she was just sitting in her living room. & idk what she was doing but she would just stop talking for a few seconds and I had to say hello. Also when she was giving me the website name she would say a word for each letter like e as in elephant and then the last letter was a r is in rat hahaha she wasn't believable at all during the conversation. I eventually hung up on her when she was in the middle of talking about packages. I'm so glad I'm not dumb!

I had received a call from etourflordia.com saying I had won the promotional price. Spoke with Christopher woods and he told me all the details but my phone died so I called back and spoke to someone else. I apologized that my phone died and I didn't mean to hang up but I was aware of the promotion but needed time to think about it(and research it). He then connected me with someone to help reserve that for me for half the price and started asking for my card. I apologized thinking I mislead him so he then stated I could reserve it for as little as a dollar and lots of good sales techniques and saying it would be stupid to pass along such an offer. I apologized stating they are wonderful salesmen and I didn't want to waste their time and they then hung up on me. I was actually interested but the fact they hung up on me and seeing this shows me I did the right thing by holding off.

called me numerous times. my husband dealt with them as i was away and said he will not give out any of my information without my consent. they kept telling him 'he could claim my PRIZE on behalf of me'..yeah sure, he wasn't having any of it. They have called persistently for weeks but we never pick up. Today i received a call from an unmarked number and sure enough it was e-travel telling me that 'i missed out on my free trip to Florida' and asking me sternly ' do you remember turning down THAT trip?' i kept telling her 'no i never turned down a trip but maybe if you talked to someone who lives here..' she interrupts me with ' Well, there was a mistake you didn't win the trip to Florida you won passes to Orlando universal studios!" so i won tickets to universal and ACTUALLY the draw i entered WASN'T for a trip' she kept asking me aggressively 'do you remember filling out that form' i kept telling her 'no and where would i have found this survey form?' her answer 'online' oh thanks, yeah online of course! she wanted to move on so i would claim my free Orlando pass, i asked her why would i not claim this free trip i wasn't entitled to win previously to get passes to universal? she kept correcting me with 'its Orlando universal passes' then i told her i wasn't planning any trips and she in this super sassy voice says 'you're not planning a trip or vacation in the next 18th months AT ALL?" i told her no and if we were to plan a trip it wouldn't be to Florida or we would have taken advantage of that super awesome free trip we accidentally were offered. she said one more time so you are not even planning on going away for a weekend getaway in the next 18 months. i said WELL...and she hung up on me.

I live in Canada and these losers are in breach of Canadian and American privacy laws. They are a complete scam and were laughing in the background talking in various fake ethnic accents . The alleged floor supervisor came on the phone and said we bought your name and number. I said how ? he replied with money stupid. I lost my mind and told him I was going to rip his heart out through his chest and feed it to his family. When i called back they were antagonizing me to no end and when I was about to speak they were screaming "tap in tap in " like they think i was going to loose my mind again. Then i proceeded to call them back as many times as possible until I received a call from them i found out they are the exact same name as Etourandtravel but .org not .com. I contacted their head office after some internet research contacted the police and the CRTC as well as the National do not call list. I will not rest until these ### pay . I will find them and burn their robo call computer to the ground in front of their faces. No wonder there are mass killings in the USA ? The country and all its policies and business practices are the reason why the world wants to bomb the country out of existence. These pukes think they are safe. if I find them I will smash their skulls in!

I was contacted by Tamara Jackson yesterday regarding a free vacation to Orlando FL. I could bring 5 people, including myself, for 4 nights and 5 days at top hotels. I just had to pick one and which package I wanted. Package included 2 free passes to Universal Studios and some other places. I also won 7 free days of a rental car from Enterprise Rental. They told me I was selected from an on-line form I had filled out. They were looking for "Helen", which I am not nor did I ever fill out a form. I do own a Visa, so I think they have a list of people who have Visa bank cards or credit cards. My package was 298.00 and they told me to go to their site and check it out and then give them my credit card number. I didn't of course. I did get her to give me phone to call her back in case my husband wanted to purchase it as a Christmas present. SHe believed me and gave me a number that works.
