Esso Extra gas

My name is Leonardo Miliziano.I live in Montreal Quebec and recently visited an Esso gas station for gas. When I received the bill it showed that I selected supreme instead of the usual regular. I always put regular. There is something wrong with the gas pumps at 9600 Murice Duplessis, Montreal Quebec H1E 1H2 when paying with your credit card. I expect you to take action for this is theft. The people working there don't even know what action to take in this case and I was easily dismissed being told that i should come back when the owners where there if ever. Esso Extra rude bonnyville esso

I was at Esso in bonnyville Alberta, I went to fill up, I walked in to see how you pay the gas or what, I don't fill up really, the guy looked at me, just over the counter from playing on he's phone, sense I not use to filling up I asked him how to you, he rolled he's eyes at me, told me fill up then go pay, so I fished the gas, I went back in payed, the guy is rude every time I go in there
He's manner is rude, can't unstand a word he said, I lefted I had a few words with him, he came out of the store yelling at me, you know if he was nice in the first place this would not happend, this not the first I was told about this esso either, this needs to be taken care off, I go to the other Esso. On the the other side of town never a problem, but there under construction right now

Esso Extra imperial

at 5:00 am on APR 30, 2017, I pulled into Esso gas station at 250 the queensway, etobicoke, ON. M8Y 1J4 ( station ID: [protected]) to fuel up my vehicle, I parked my vehicle at Pump # 6, lifted up the nozzle to pump fuel, waited four minutes, no help, put the nozzle back on the pump and walked towards the store, there was only one gas station attendant sitting on a chair behind the counter, his head was laid backwards in a relaxing position, I entered the store, walked towards the counter, greeted the attendant and informed him that I was waiting for four minutes for him to activate the pump for me,
Looking at me in a nasty way, he stand up walked towards the consol yaling in an angry way he said : ( DON'T YOU KNOW YOU HAVE TO PAY FIRST DURING THE NIGHT?)
I handed him my visa esso card, he pulled the card out of my hand laid on the keyboard waiting for me to tell him how much I need to pump ( I assumed ), then he looked at me, stared at me face, I said : sorry I do not know how much I can fit in the tank, can I leave the card with you, go pump and come back ?, he kept staring at me for a few seconds, then he through my card on the counter saying : ( GO PUMP SOMEWHERE ELSE ), he went back to his chair behind the counter, laid his head back and ignored me,
I looked at his name tag, trying to read his name, but the tag had no name at all, I asked him if it is possible to get his name, he replied by saying that his name is on the tag and if I am blind or can not read it is my problem, I asked him if it is possible to take a picture of his name tag, he replied by saying ( NO, NOT AT ALL, TAKE A PICTURE AND COMPLAIN ABOUT ME PLEASE, I AM ASKING YOU TO COMPLAIN, PLEASE DO SO).
I took a photo for him while he was sitting and asked him if I can take another photo for him in a closer position since the tag was not clear from that distance, he did not mind, he leaned forward and let me shoot another photo for him, I thanked him picked up my visa esso card, left the store, walked towards the pump to use my card at the pump and fuel my tank, while I was entering my information at the pump after I inserted my card, the gas station attendant walked to the store’s door, opened the door and was shouting at me from his location saying : ( DON’T EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME I WILL NOT ACTIVATE THE PUMP FOR YOU, GO FUEL SOMEWHERE ELSE )
The screen was processing my information at that time, got to the point where it was asking me to enter my PIN, at that time he reached behind his counter, and the screen suddenly displayed the following message ( sorry we can not process your request at this time ) the card was ejected out of the pump and a receipt was printed,
I am attaching both photos for the gas station attendant along with the receipt that shows time and date of the incident.
I would highly appreciate it if someone can get back to me to clarify if that is acceptable by Esso Imperial company policy,
I had to go pump gas at different supplier, on my way home I stopped at another Esso gas station at Dixie & dundas, I have already fueled up, just wanted to check if I will be treated in the same manner at the Esso again, surprisingly, the attendant welcomed me as soon as I walked in by saying : ( HI SIR, HOW ARE YOU), even though I only pumped 20 cents of gas, he did not comment on it, he asked me if I need a car wash while he was processing my card, after giving me my receipt, he asked me if I would like to buy a Lotto ticket, I declined it, and when I was walking out of the door he was saying ( HAVE A NICE DAY SIR),
I really feel sorry for someone representing a company acting individually careless about the impression he leaves for customers, it really reflects the whole image on the big retailer, regardless any personal behaviour, having no name on a name tag on its own seems unacceptable

Esso Extra check what gas you're buying

Please make sure you check the button hit when getting gas! Apparently it's really easy to hit their Supreme Plus with the hose and you end up paying for that instead of whatever gas you are actually trying to fill. Please check your receipts! I'm not sure if this happens regularly at this particular station as this is the first time I've used this station. I've never had this happen at any station in my life and believe me when I say I fill up alot.
I'm worried that others are getting taken advantage of as most people don't check their gas receipts routinely. I certainly wouln't have noticed except for the fact that I put in the numbers on my gas cubby app and file for business purposes.

Please check and don't let this happen to you. They shouldn't be able to set the system up so that you're taken advantage of.

Esso Extra fraudulent charge

Fraudulent charge for gas
AVOID this station

We selected grade 87 (92 cents a litre), but when receipt came out we realized we were charged for the highest grade, 93 ($1.119 a litre). Who puts grade 93 in a Chevy Uplander?

We always selected grade 87 for our cars and this time could not be a mistake of "slippery finger" because grade 93 was two buttons away!

Total overcharge was over $12. The cashier made no apology and refused to refund.

You want them to just refund the difference WHY? Was it the cashiers fault you put in the wrong gas?

If you were paying attention then you would have noticed the wrong amount as soon as you started pumping. Since you did not notice then that means you were not paying attention. That leads me to believe that you were not paying attention 10 seconds prior when you hit the wrong button.

Esso Extra customer service skills

Upon getting a car wash I started to clean the inside of the car. I tried to use the vacuum machine but the machine took the money and did not turn on. Unlike vending machines, this machine did not return the coins it did not like. It needed 2 $1 coins, but never turned on even after the coins were inserted.
I walked to the cashier and informed him. He shrugged and said that the machines were not his responsibility and I will have to call the company that owns those machines that are located on the property of this gas station.
There was no sign stating that by the vacuum machines.
I asked him if he was sure and tells me, "you are begging me for $2, here are $2".
Totally rude. Would never go back there!

He said he didn't own the machines. You took his 2 dollars. You should return his money and apologize, when you go back to find the phone number you were supposed to use to report the machine out of order. The poor man probably doesn't own anything, just working in a bottom level job, trying to get by. You sound very self-centered and cruel.

Esso Extra dishonest self service car wash

On a sunny Saturday afternoon, I went to the Esso gas station (Yonge & Steele) for the self service car wash. After I entered the booth, I found that I am the only user inside (total around six partitions). It is a rare situation as in other self service car wash, there should be line up already. This station is different from other coin insert self car wash, they count by the staying time. Notice about that, I just rush my wash as my car is not that dirty. The water supply stopped automatically after about two-three minutes. As I just want a rinse, so I just proceeded to the attendant payment room which is just next to my partition to pay. But there is no staff in there. I then tried to pay in an auto-pay machine outside the room and found the machine does not response. So I pressed the intercom at once, a boy answered and I told him the paying machine doesn't work properly and need someone come to check. He answered me in positive but no one come. I pressed the intercom in the entrance and asked for the staff. I then waved to the attendant next to the entrance of the automatic car wash station. The attendant came and checked and confirmed that the machine is out of order. By then, the man from the gas office intercom him and asked him to go back to the automatic car wash section. The attendant asked me to go to the gas office to pay instead.
The man handling the cashier (I believe is the owner) automatically used a very rude manner and said "You stayed in there for 19 minutes. I now charged you for 10 minutes ($10 - $1 for 1 min)." I am shocked by the answer and told him that I actually used the self wash for no more than 3 minutes. All the time spent is due to there is no staff, no staff come even they answered my call, I need to use another intercom machine and eventually need to grab a staff from the auto car wash section. I even need to spend time to run to the cashier to pay. The owner said again "I already reduced your time. Just paid what you've been told". I declined and requested for an explanation about the payment methold (1)no one in the attendant payment room inside the booth (2) faulty machine (3) no one come even I successfully informed the staff to come and check up the machine. He then turn to a even hostile and scary manner and threaten me tha "OK, if you don't want to pay the $10, just drive out free of charge. " and yelled "Just drive out free of charge". I said I have used the service, there is no way that I will go away without payment. According to the actual usage, I used no more than 3 mins and I should paid according to what I used. He became so mad and yelled loudly "Go Go Go. No need to make any payment!" I am so scarce. So I just put down $4 (which should be more than my actual usage time) and go back to my car. The door is not opened when I approach the exit. I continuously press the button for more than 5 minutes and his voice came from the intercom "Don't ever use this station again" I answered that I will inform Esso to find out the truth.
According to my previous experience with other self service Esso car wash. The standard $3 cycle is more than enough for my old Honda Fit which is a compact car. as I only used soap and rinse and skip the other steps. I wash my car every week and from time to time I will use the auto car wash.
Why I spent so much time in this matter for just a few bucks is that I do not want any more victims fall in the same trap. It is impossible that around 5:00 pm in a sunny day in such a busy intersection I am the only customer in the car wash. You cannot go away after you enter the booth. The gate just closed. I think many people have similar experience deceived by this dishonest method. I hate to say that it is a set up but it is apparently a set up. The owner in the gas office who asked the attendant to go away never response to a customer's call for such a long time. It is even worse if they can have the CCTV or other monitoring system. I am talking with the same intercom that means he is monitoring the whole process. The most ridiculous is that the water discontinue to supply (is it already preset?) after less than 3 minutes and they can charge you the money without providing anything. I just want someone can find out the truth. I am more than happy to pay the extra is I have used more. Otherwise, I think this malpractice should be stopped and the customer deserve an apology. This type of horrible experience is just like a nightmare to any human beings.

Esso Extra gas tanks runs with no gas forthcoming

had to pre pay with credit card for gas at the esso located at St Jean and Blue Haven in Dollard des Ormeaux, Que. Put down $35.00 dollars and started pumping but when it hit $27.00 no longer felt gas cursing thru pump line. When I checked my tripodometer there was no way I could have filled $35.00 dollars as my gas tank when filling gas was more than half full and I only have a 52 litre gas tank. When I went in to discuss this with the man behind the counter he informed me that I didn't know what I was talking and he did cause he worked in a gas station. I've worked in a doctor's office but that doensn'tmake me an expert on illnesses. Will never go back to this gas station feel it's a complete rip-off.

Esso Extra rude behaviour

After having an issue with my bankcard, I was unable to provide payment for my $10 of gas. After immediately asking me to step aside so the cash could tend to paying customers, I was rudely told that the money I didn't pay would come from the cashier's check. I informed the woman that I doubted that, as that kind of thing is illegal. I told her I wasn't sure why the payment didn't approve but that I could pop home and be back in less than 30 mins. She, again rudely, replied that I would have to call someone. I explained to her there was no one to call. She then called over who I can only assume was the owner, who promptly took to lecturing me and letting me know he does not run a business on "good intentions". I've never been treated so rudely, or like such a criminal in my life. It was disgusting; especially in front of the owner and by the owner. So, Trotter's Esso - thanks for making me feel like a piece of dirt criminal over $10; that I returned to pay in less than 30 mins. Great business plan, super customer service and awesome home-town feel you put out.

I won't be returning.

Leaving your driver's license there while you went to get the cash should have been sufficient. But then again, have you ever owned a business, especially a gas station/ convenience store? They have heard, seen, and been taken by it all. That said, I wouldn't go back there either. What was the problem with your card anyway?

Esso Extra rude behavior

Recently I went to an Esso gas station to fill up air in my car's tires at Sheppard/Don Mills location in Toronto.

I had a very bad experience there with the Esso gas station staff.

When I used the air pump, I found that it was not working, and instead, the tires got deflated.

When I went to tell the Esso gas station staff, instead of listening to what I was saying, I was offered $1 (which I put into the air pump) and I was interrupted.

All I wanted to tell was if for some reason the air pump was not in operation, they should have told/warn me about it before I started to use it.

I then went to another gas station, where I found a sign displaying the "pump not working".

Then I went to Canadian Tire, where the staff helped me fill the air free of charge.

Definitely, the behavior of that Esso gas station's staff is rude. I may not go to that location again.

i want to know why the gas prices are fixed here in the norfolk county they say cause torrist area, niagara falls more tourist then here. yet we have higher gas prices then them. prices in brantford are now at 113 here we are 12 cents higher this may be due to price fixing at the pumps please help

I had a very bad experience today [protected]) in esso gas station. At 4530 erinmills parkway esso, I pay the money for the gas, and the cashier try to play the money, and he wants me to pay again. and his rude behavior and he wants to call the copes on me. Then they check the camara and found the money. Manager name Vivian [protected] I hope you will look this matter and hired a matured person...

Rudness is an employee qualification Esso looks for when hiring. Oh, and the ability to treat customers like dogs.
My one and only experience with Esso was quite minor but noteworthy for its suprising level of appalling customer service. I too went to fill a tire and found an issue with the air pump; it may have been me doing it wrong or the pump itself, I will never know because I received no help from Esso staff. I went inside to ask for help and was told, in shredded English, that they had only the one uniform and didn't want to get it dirty and it might be raining so they won't come outside and "ask that guy" (a trucker who happened to pull up, and NO he did not work for ESSO). The manner in which this was spoken was in dismissing me, a mere female, and brushing off my request for assistance.
I did ask the trucker, who was a GENTLEMAN and the answer was simple, took less than 30 seconds and no more No, I will not give ESSO nor its affiliates my business. That was my first and last experience with them and, after reading these myriad of customer complaints against them, I will notify friends, family, coworkers about their penchant for hiring/selling a franchise to the most disgusting, half-witted, animals one can encounter.

Esso Extra smoking at gas pumps

I finish gasing up and notice that two guys are chatting on the other side of the gas pump -- and smoking! I tell the attendant inside that this is very dangerous, especially given they are smoking within 5 feet of two gas pumps ...and my 2 year old daughter is strapped in the backseat of my car...should anything ever happen. The attendant asked me what I wanted him to do? I replied that telling them not to smoke beside the gas pumps would be appreciated so that my daughter would not be in harm's way. A flurry of abuse erupted from the attendant who finally complied with my request. His great insight was that he had never seen a gas station catch fire due to people smoking around the pumps -- Exactly genius, that's because every other gas station does not let its client smoke at the pumps...only you!

Thanks Esso Canada for providing no means to register a complaint. Does it take a gas station to blow to get you attention?

I have been feeling at Esso for over 20 years. Have accumulated tens of thousands of Esso extra points. Was not able to convert my points to PC Optimum despite several attempts at the gas station as well as on-line. Have I lost it all through no fault of mine?
