Esso threats and obtaining my visa

I was in the Port Perry gas station trying to pay at the pump when the screen froze so I was nice enough to go inside and ask if it was paid for and he said no. It was a pakistani man and he was unbelievaby rude. After i asked if i was able to go back out and pay with the visa i had from my step mom, he took my visa and threatened to cal the cops on me. Half of what the man was saying i could not even understand because it didn't sound like english and then told me to give him id. I ofcourse thought this meant i would be able to use the visa but he took my licence and refused to give it back. This was the only form of paying i had on me. i had zero cash and was uncertain if what was on my debit would be able to handle it. he raised his voice at me when i continiously said pardon because i couldn't understand what he was saying to me and I am assuming he thought I was making fun of him. but after he raised his voice i got frusturated because i had no way of paying and he was with holding my licence and only form of paying and did not have a cell phone to get anyone. This was absolutely ridiculous and he raised his voice to me infront of four other costumers in the store which made it even more inappropriate. he continued to not give me an option to pay and saying he was going to call the cops so eventually i had to get money from a friend to pay for my gas and then slapped my visa and licence on the counter and didn't say anything.

Esso, in North America, seem to employ/share franchise with only East Indians/Pakistani, from what I've been reading. No big deal of course but many have been here only a short time and therefore their English is nightmarish. How can you work with the English-speaking public if you cannot speak English? My daughter tells me today that the men at another station near her home (who chat her up everytime she walks in), told her they'd been here less than 2 years and own a franchise already. Thanks to Canadian $$$ start-up programs for new immigrants (no assistance at those monetary levels for generations of Canadians born-and-raised though. We aren't provided those opportunities in our own country.). I personally am unconcerned who runs the show at each station. Esso must demand their representatives in all countries adhere to decency, proper communication skills and customer service relations.

Esso redemption of card

Just a note to let you know that I have not been in an ESSO Station in over 2 years. Problem - I am a senior who saved my gift cards for a planned vacation
when it came time to use them I find that one $50.00 card was outdated and
after complaining to your head office was told too bad we cannot accept a outdated card even though the law had changed since. Just wanted to let you know that you lost a good customer forever. Peter Kay

Esso car wash

I had gone through the car wash and when I came out of it, noticed that the back of my car was still dirty. I contacted the attendant and she told me to come back in the afternoon when the manager was in as she could clearly see the car was still dirty. I went back just to let the manager know what happened and he gave me so much attitude saying that the dirt on the back of my car was oily dirt and that it doesn't come off, meanwhile I could run my finger through it and it came off. He was going to give me a car wash in the beginning but then he made me so mad with his attitude and lack of acknowledgement that his car wash wasn't working up to par that I drove off. My husband and I would normally gas up there weekly with hundreds of dollars being spent and when I told him that I was never going to use his gas station again, he said he didn't care.

I also contacted the Esso Head office [protected]). I didn't even want a car wash anymore, just to point out what had happened. Head office was excellent in taking down the information and turns out it's not a franchised station so he will be spoken to. They offered me a free car wash but I said that wasn't the point and I politely turned it down saying that it would go against what I believe. I will NEVER use that Esso station again. The professionalism (or lack thereof) has been ingrained and I hope he gets reprimanded!

Bathurst and Drewry Esso gas station:
I was use through car wash on a Bathurst and Drewry Esso gas station (515 DrewrySt., NorthYork.) very bad service, car wash not working well, my car only was little dusty not even dirty and I take car wash for $10.99 and the end my car was dusty after washing. I go to gas station manager and show him what car wash not working properly.I get one more time car wash for free and nothing change! My car on a end of washing still dusty! Don't understand, why you build car wash on a gas station witch can't work properly! Very disappointed, I spend my time and money for nothing!

I had my car washed on Sunday 15th, 2017 0n 1465 Princess Street in Kingston Ontario. During the washing the car by the car wash machine I was hearing strange noise in the car. After being washed the car I noticed the car was not washed not properly and the worse thing was the front wheel was damaged. The Rim was broken and the tire got deep scratched. The attendant took photo of the matter and my contact information and promised me in 48 hours his manager will call me. Nobody called me in the next 3 days. I went there twice and asked to reach the manager or owner but they refused to give me the contact information. The last time even the attendant accused me with having damaged already in car and it was my fault during the washing the car to not follow the instructions as if it is my first time to have the car washed. I sent an e-mail to ESSO but I have not heard back yet. I attached the receipt and in the back of it you can see that the attendant wrote that the front wheel damaged by car wash.

(3445 Hurontario St, Mississauga, L5A 2H4)Yesterday evening (May 31st 2014) I wanted to take my dad's car through Esso's car wash since I already had the car wash coupon code. I got to the car wash entrance at 8:47 and the gentleman at the wash told me that the car wash was already closed. I requested him to see the time since there was another 13 minutes to 9 PM but he was adamant that the wash service is closed for the day and he has to "start cleaning the facility".I went into the Esso store to speak with the cashier/supervisor (Her name is Pam)and explained the situation but even she insisted that at 8:50 pm the car wash service closes every evening. I did not wish to argue with the cashier or the gentleman at the car wash but this incident is greatly disappointing. I myself work in the service industry and client relationship is of essence especially if the customer requests are valid.I wish to tell you that unless a satisfactory action is taken on your end, I will not be buying gas from Esso ever again.

To be fair, any pumps connected to an newer system inside will reset the pumps back to $0, which really isn't in control of the employees. In 30 seconds it's very possible to pump $17 worth of fuel, especially on newer pumps. What I don't understand is why your friend started pumping if it said $9.85 and started going up from there? I'm not saying that you're lying, but with the current technology it's highly unlikely that the pump started at $9.85 as you thought. A pump may go up $0.05-0.10 if there has been a huge temperature fluctuation because they need to pressurize but it definitely should not start at the previous amount prepaid. No camera is focused on the display of the pump, most are there to watch license plates. That's why there's systems in place to make sure that the pumps don't pump too much fuel or too little (with some minimal room for error).

On Sunday at 6:35am I pulled up at the NewCastle HWY 4001 Westbound Gas station to have my car filled up. I asked my friend to pump the gas for me.. Nothing wasn’t coming out of the pump.. the Worker inside said that it was pre-paid.. Prior to going inside, I looked at the Pump, and it was at 9.85$ which was the last amount that the previous customer pumped.. So I went inside to make a 40$ payment of pre-paid regular gas… Went back out to my rental and told my friend to start, from the time I walked from making the payment to over the rental, which took less than 30secnds.. the gas amount already went up to 9.85- 17$.. So I asked my friend how is it possible that the amount has gone up to 17$ so quickly and u jus started pumping the gas.. Did the gas started at zero ( 0).. when I went to go make the 40$ payment for the gas. He indicated No.. so I said so u mean to tell me that they started the pump at 9.85$.. rather than resetting it at zero for the Customers. So I went back into the Gas station and said to the 2 Workers, why is the gas starting at the last amount that a customer filled up at which was at 9.85$ . Why did u guys not reset it back to zero.. why are u guys ripping Customers off. U guys jus Basically stole 10$ worth of Gas from me.. Show me the on camera where it started at zero as u stated.. The 2 workers claim that it was not something they could have done, they need the permission of their Manager… So I said call him then. THe Manager /Owner Jeya was telling me some ### story that they had the pumps calibrated just a few days ago.. he said that if his pumps are wrong they will reimburse me.. I said really now, u expect me to believe that that u guys will give me back my money u guys stole from me. His lying ### employees Ajay who is in cahost with him, gave me this ### number to call [protected] . Im here now Monday at work deciding to call to find out that is some sex chat number these dirty freaks gaved me.. BEWARE OF NEWCASTLE ESSO HWY 401 WESTBOUND

I went for car wash at sandalwood & heart lake esso in brampton.
This touchless car wash is of no use, it only rinses the car, the dirt is still over there, once car comes out. When u ask gas pump guy, he says he can't do anything as this is standard & often happens.
I will never go back for car wash at esso.

I purchased a luxury car wash March 10, 2016 at 5:09:32am. I noticed when I arrived at work downtown there was white streaks on my car (rinse did not work). I returned back to the Esso station at the end of my work day and the attendant told me to receive a wash I would have to report the issue after the car wash. At that time 5:09am in the morning it is still dark. I was disappointed with the reply and left the station. I did however rewash my car at Shell.

It was a cold day, i took my car to the ESSO gas station, I wanted to buy luxury wash but the guy said since its a cold day it wont work so i should get a full wash only; i said okay because they know better. i washed my car and when i came out, it still had soap and water that froze right away. i went inside and started explaining to the guy what has happened and wanted him to come see the car but the only thing he told me is that "I told you so", i told him you said the luxury wash doesnt work and that i should get full wash but he repeated its a cold day and i told you! left the gas station and will never go there again..! horrible experience! such an attitude and also there was an old man standing behind the guy talking to me and just watching without saying anything..!

Esso Gas Station on York Road in Duncan BC
Have been informed by several parents that this particular gas station has been selling vapor equipment to minors. This gas station is in direct line with High School and most students pass it by on their way to and from school. This should not be allowed. Police have been informed and laws are underway to ban the sale of these products to teens. This is a terrible message that you are sending to our yourng people, and it certainly encourages them to smoke at a very young age. I will tell everyone I know to not use this particular station. Making profits on the backs of our young people is a criminal act.

Esso scam

I fueled up my car for $30.oo and when I got home, I checked my bank because I had to do some online bills I noticed right away Esso billed my account $100.00. I paid for this purchase with my bank debit card at the pump swipe card reader. The bank said to go back to Esso and get a refund or credit. The Esso said I had to contact Esso Corporate office. Esso Corporate Office said it was the bank holding my money and would take 5 days to clear or fix this. I really don't see the bank holding my money and it clearly says Esso was paid $100.

well i know its kind of too late to reply but still for ur knowledge when u use ur debit o credit outside on pump an authorize $100 from your account just to make sure u have enough money in account an once u done pumping lets say u did 40 they will refund 60 back to ur account within 12 hours that's how it work on pump if u don't want this in future go pay inside

Esso false advertising

Esso currently has a Pepsi promotion where a customer can buy 2 Pepsi bottles for $3. If you take advantage of the promotion the two items does not ring in at the advertised price. The price differential is minimal. My guess is that Esso is hoping customers would not notice the discrepancy.
If you request the clerk to override the price to the correct price, he was uncooperative.
It looks like a sneaky way of trying to get a few extra bucks given that they probably sell a large volume of the products during the promotional period.

Esso false advertisement

The sign displays 99.9 cents per litre minus the 3.5 cents discount I thought I would be getting a good deal; I'm pretty sure most if not all that pulled in the station thinks the same way as well. I went in intending to pump some gas, when I got to the pump it read 98.2 cents. I mean 99.9 cents minus 3.5 cents is not 98.2 cents. So I went inside and asked, and the attendant told me that there is something wrong with there sign outside and that they just left it that way.
I would just want to report the issue because a lot of people are not like me, they would probably start pumping thinking that they are getting a good deal, but not the deal they went in for. The 99.9 cents minus the 3.5 cents discount which would total to 96.4 cents deal. Please do something about it before someone takes it to the consumer protection people. Thanks for your immediate attention.

Esso angry racist clerk

I went to the Esso gas station at Liverpool & Pickering Prwy at 1:30 am in Pickering, I went to prepay $60 and got a receipt for my gas and while pumping my car it filled up at $57 and the display on the pump stated to return inside and receive your change, all I wanted was a new receipt for my fill up and the clerk stated that it was my fault for pay $60 and not $57, as if I would know how much my vehicle takes, but I didn't care about the money all I wanted was a new receipt and the clerk started swearing at me and my girlfriend for no reason, and claimed that I broke his entrance door, btw this place is falling apart, and then the clerk proceed to make a racial comment against me and for what, $3 dollars, and when I told him to forget it the clerk kept my original receipt and would not return demanded that I stay to give me my change when all I wanted was to be rid of this nightmare, and then he followed me outside to my car to right down my license plate and he continued to rant and swear some more, that is just ridiculous and by far the worst customer service experience I've ever had with any company I will never go back to Esso to pump my gas and nor will I advise anyone else to.

At 830 in the morning my sister went( 29 of June 2013 )to get some gun ( we were going on a family trip) and she had 20 dollars - the attendant (a true imbecile) told my sister "you people are always asking for change" mind you my sister went in to purchase gum and other snacks. She didn't ask for change. Then when my mother went inside to confront her she said she would call the police and she had our plates. So we called the police first. And they agreed with me that this woman was an idiot.

Do not go to the ESSO at SHEPARD AND KODIACK in Toronto if you are a person of color. Young female racist attendant/true imbecile.

My mother went into the Esso station on Hwy 47 in Goodwood to get some gas. My mother forgot her debit card so she was only able to purchase $ 6.00 worth of gas and was only able to pay with pocket change. When she went into the store to pay she apologized for the change. Esso never again

July 11, 2008 I stopped at the esso gas station on Fraser highway of the Langley by pass.

I purchased $20 gas cash. I went out to pump it.

The pump kept flashing prepay beeping, and the last consumer’s amount of gas was still on the screen, so, I thought he had not reset it. I went back in to tell him, he said I must have pumped it.

I said I did not. After some discussion, I did get my $20 of gas, but, I will never go back or to any Esso station, ever again. It was a man attendant which I don't usually deal with, and didn't appreciate the way he treated me. I spend a lot of money there a month, and it will be their loss. They have lost a valued customer and nothing that is said or done from here on in will ever make me go back there or any Esso gas station.

I’ve just returned from Italy where one of your self service stations took 40 euros cash from me but dispensed no fuel. It was Esso on Corso Italia, Sorrento.

This was Sunday 20th august at 2:30pm, at pump 1.

There was no attendant to assist, and no way of contacting anyone. I had to pay again with my credit card in order to get any fuel.

This has been a problem since the station open I have complained to staff several times with no results. I will not continue to by fuel here if problem is not fixed

Hi this morning I went to use screen wash machine which stated it needed £1.50 to use and it did not bend the screen wash at all! I have a recording to prove it did not work and screenshots of the payments made so I could use it but it never worked!

Hello- The Esso Station on Sackville Dr. in Sackville Nova Scotia has prices on their products and when you go to pay for your items, it's plenty more. This has been going on for months. It's not just one item either. I refuse to buy anything else but gas.

After pumping 20 dollar gas at 163 per litre at Westney and Bayly Street, l didn't realize any gas in my vehicle because the gas bar didn't move at all. The pump no is 9 at that station. I complained to the gas attendant but he just snubbed me.l need my money back.

Purchased a car wash 3weeks ago and went to use it today and it said invalid code. When i asked counter after backing up of busy line, they said i must have used it. Got ripped off! Nobody used it.
