Erickson Custom Pools & Spas / Shoddy pool construction and horrific customer service!
Erickson’s is now in the business of damage control as well as shoddy pool construction and horrific customer service. It seems very odd that consumers would post compliments on a web page dedicated to complaints. Who would even think of doing that?? (Unless the company you did business with approached you and requested it be done.) I’m sure if that was the case, the company behind the request would at least pay them to have a post put on here- yes it costs money. On October 4, 2006 the Service Coordinator in South Daytona asked me to remove a posting I had put on this site. This was one of several requests. After what I went through with this company, I told them I was not removing the post. What a coincidence that the three compliments to Erickson’s show up two weeks later, all three done within two days of each other! One of them has even been viewed 1400 times- in less than two months!! Must be a lot of down time at the office and employees are allowed to click on the link and run up the counter. The posts sound like they were written by a PR specialist. One person mentions that people always ask who built their pool when they come over. Are you kidding me!!!!!!! Who asks that when they come over?
I’m sure they have satisfied customers out there. If you are seriously considering purchasing a pool from Erickson’s, ask yourself this question- “I am about to spend a great deal of money on a huge investment. Am I willing to gamble on which Erickson’s Custom Pools shows up? The one that a few people never seemed to have a problem with or the one that people have had numerous problems with.” It’s a crap shoot, good luck.
The construction on my pool began on October 17, 2005 and the permit still has not been signed off on as of December 20, 2006. The latest snafu was three electrical violations when it was inspected.
