[Resolved] Epigro - Romesh SavanghanEpigro

Review updated:

Got some solar panels installed from Epigro. Met this man Romesh Savanghan who I now think is a con man. He said they were good reliable systems. Paid Rs 500, 000 in Jan 2016 but after several months no system installed. After many calls and visits to their office they finally came and installed a system. It never worked from day 1. When they installed the system I had a gut feeling that there were issues as the so called engineers looked like two village bas and did not seem to have any clue about the installation of a high tech system. So now I lost Rs 500, 000 and now they keep promising to repair but have not come as yet. What can I do?

Hi- thank you for your response Kamal.
As unfortunate as this grievousness sounds, i think its safe to say that this is indeed a factitious account and complaint based on may reasons:
1- we do not have any customer records of a person named "KamalJ"
2- we do not sell "solar panels" but complete solar power systems and we unfortunately do not have any for Rs 500, 000/-
3- unfortunately i, Romesh Savanghan do not get involved in the Epigro business as i am only a shareholder.
4- if by chance this complaint is in effect true, i challenge Mr "KamalJ" to either visit our office or to send a screen shot of his bill or invoice from Epigro.
5- additionally, we encourage Mr "KamalJ" to report his complaint directly to the Consumer Affairs Department; Mr.W.Hasitha Tillekeratne; the chairman with his contact number being" +[protected]/+[protected].
6- if true, it astonishes me why someone doesn't lodge a complaint with the relevant authorities and seek legal action? unless, the complaint is in fact bogus.
Epigro is an established company that has been in operations since 2010. We work with partners like UTE and currently working on large scale industrial projects with Blue Ocean Group, Thilakawardena Textiles, MAS Holdings to name a few. Should you (the so called plaintiff) actually require a real solution for your energy needs, you may need to refer to one of our competitors as we do not entertain small domestic projects. Thank you for the free publicity.

i have seen a lot of mud-slinging by unprofessional people and organizations against companies doing well. being a s psychologist and now consultant for the NHS for over 13 years, i have noticed that this is so prevalent in Sri Lanka by petty narrow minded individuals. We see this in government, and almost all aspects of sri lankan society. some of the complaints i have seen here (besides the above) are clearly not genuine as they are so ridiculous.

i wish we can move on from petty and jealousy. business and ethical practices should come from competing businesses, not mudslinging as it reflects poorly on the industry as a whole and removes credibility. i have actually heard of epigro solar as my local neighbour and sri lanka cricketer, Lahiru Thirimane has gone for this company and installation is happening on his property currently. looks very impressive.
