At the beginning of December I was contacted by EOS KSI regarding money I apparently owed about 2, 000 crowns for a UPS set-top box and about 150 crowns EOS KSI claimed that I had not returned the box to UPC when I terminated my contract with them. The contract was for a rental property I own. When the tenant left I terminated the contract with UPC and asked them to send me the final invoice. Although UPC had and has my current permanent address (to which then had been happily sending all previous invoices, information, etc), they sent the final invoice to the rental address (according to EOS KSI). Unfortunately, I had another tenant there and I did not receive the mail. I explained this to EOS KSI both over the telephone and then in writing. I sent them supporting evidence that the box had been returned to UPC (via courier) and accepted by UPC. I also asked them to let me know what the exact remaining amount that I apparently owed above and beyond the set-top box was so I could pay the amount. (Had I know right from the start I owed this money I would have paid it to UPC...) EOS KSI refused to communicate with me in writing, and instead began calling me incessantly. They even continued to call between Christmas and New Year's. At that point emailed and text messaged them that I would ONLY communicate with them in writing. I wrote them half a dozen emails but received not reply. Until today. Today I finally received an email. They reiterated that I owed the total amount and send bank information about how I could pay for it. They did not tell me the breakdown of what I owed. I am at my wits end. I feel this company is not above-board and their continual denial to send me any supporting information has left me with no recourse but to lodge a complaint. How do I do this? What are my options? Does the consumer have any rights here in the Czech Republic? Thank you, Pauline Hruska
