My 71 year old mother rented a car from there for 4 months after an auto accident. Her insurance picked up a couple of weeks, and she picked up the tab the rest of the time. All of her payments were on time and they put her out of the car, telling her she could not have it for that rate any longer, and jacked the rate up 3x what she had been paying. They then MADE HER WALK TO WORK! A 71 year old woman with no other transportation! I called everyone from the Area Manager to the Regional Manager, who all apologized, but did nothing to get her back into a vehicle. Pretty sad that a person can be treated like this. When she told them she wouldn't be back, nor any of her family after the way she was treated, they commented they didn't want her business and were fine with her not returning. Hopefully enough people read this to hurt their business if this is the way they treat customers!

I'm having a problem here in Wichita Kansas with getting my $50.00 deposit back because I paid with cash. I returned the car 06/05/2014 it's now 06/17/2014 and I'm yet to receive anything. When I called and ask to speak to the manger he couldn't even tell me if it was mailed or even if they had the right address. I was referred to enterprise by my insurance company. The people at the enterprise on west Kellogg in Wichita Kansas need to be educated on costumer service because the way the treat people is rude and pushy. Nobody deserves to spend their hard earned money with what seems to be a Good company full of shady employees.

I live in Santa Monica and have rented from Enterprise for the last ten years. But no more. My car was totalled and I needed a rental car so I went to my local Enterprise on Lincoln Blvd and Ocean Park in Santa Monica and I rented a car. I was told by my insurance company and attorney that I did not need Enterprise Insurance and that my insurance company wouldn't cover it. I tried to tell the people at Enterprise this but they made it seem like I really needed it so I got it. Went back a week later after my attorney told me again that I did not need insurance for the rental car that I was already covered. Told Enterprise the same thing but again they said I was really taking a risk and since I had just been in an auto accident I should now be extra careful knowing first hand that accidents happen. So I kept the insurance coverage. No big deal, ultimately my choice, but after three weeks of renting their car they called and wanted the car back! I spent 900 dollars at Enterprise and they wanted their car so I was forced to go to Hertz Rental Car in Santa Monica, 14th and Santa Monica Blvd which is about 3 miles from Enterprise(Santa Monica) and they would NOT give me a ride to Hertz! They gladly accepted 900 dollars from me-took my transportation-no longer wanted my business and then would not drive me to Hertz, saying they only pick up and drop off within a mile radius! They did offer to call me a cab! Another customer at Enterprise drove me to Hertz! UNBELIEVABLE. NEVER EVER WILL I RENT FROM ENTERPRISE AGAIN- TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND IT'S A LIE ABOUT DROP OFF AND PICK UP-CON ARTISTS! Oh and...they suggested I go buy a car from their Enterprise Car Sales...that's a whole other story, another CON GAME. I wish the State Atty General would look into this scheme of trickery and deceit!

I am sorry, but rental cars are not a right, they, like driving in itself, is a privilege. You must remember that these cars accrue miles on them, regardless of if "payments are made on time." You say that she had to walk to work because she could not get a rental car. Does the city in which she live not have public transportation or taxis? Couldn't you, or another relative, have driven her? There are other options. Was it right of Enterprise? Probably not. Were there no other options and Enterprise "made her walk to work", as you claim? Doubtful.

I had a similar issue with enterprise, and took them to small claims court to get my deductible back (and won!). From this I uncovered that if you return the car after hours, or to a satellite location than you are responsible for the vehicle until they check it in, which could be anytime (even a month!). I'm interested connecting with other folks who had similar issues to talk about legal rights. If you'd like to learn more about taking some legal action, please contact me at enterpriseclaims@hotmail.com (not associated with Enterprise, just don't want to give out my personal e-mail). Hope to hear from anyone soon.
