Enterprise Rent-A-Car enterprise unauthorized fraudulent card charges

I had a company rental with enterprise that was arranged through insurance and pre-authorized for payment. I reluctantly provided a personal debit / credit card to the Branch Manager Kurt Stephens who assured me it would not be charged and that it would only be kept on file. I looked the guy in the eye and said, "YOU [Enterprise] ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO CHARGE ANYTHING ON THIS CARD. I'M TRUSTING YOU". Over a series of days, my bank statement reflected at least four (4) different unauthorized and/or fraudulent charges from Enterprise that they have still not refunded two (2) months later.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car ticket

I rented two cars for two months from Enterprise after a tree fell on both my new cars. Two months after the rental ended I noticed a charge on my credit card. After calling the local branch, they said it was a parking ticket. I called the court and the ticket was issued prior to my rental period. I emailed the information to Trisha L. Sweeney from Enterprise but have not heard anything back. She said a manager would have to approve or deny my claim. I received no notice from Enterprise about any ticket. They just charged my card. This is a horrible business practice and has consumed a lot of my time.

Enterprise car rental scammed me by charging 1200.00 for insurance I did not wish to purchase. Do not rent a car from them. I told the employee that I had great insurance and did not want it.

I rented a car and returned it in immaculate condition. I got a letter a few weeks later claiming "discovered damage, " ordering me to pay. Online I discovered this is a common scam. I've reported them to the BBB.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car charge for damage I did not do

I had an accident and had to rent a car one way to return home. I picked my rental up in the morning and with the car freshly washed still covered on water droplets with the sun just coming up above the trees behind the facility, 8:30am. I drove the car for one day, from Orangeburg to work then home and then drop off to Enterprise. When I went to return it the attendant found a small ding in the left front panel which I had not noticed. He then informs me they will need to charge for damages. I told him the damage had to be preexisting. Based on the conditions when I picked it up, it would not be reasonable for me to find thing ding prior to renting it. There is absolutely no way I caused the damage, but Enterprise charged my card and filed a claim with my insurance. This damage was preexisting and is in no way my fault, but I am getting charged for it. I travel for business quite a bit and have rented hundreds of cars and have never incurred any charges due to vehicle damage. To say the least, if I do not get this resolved, I will never rent another car from Enterprise.

Please contact me at pcmerry24@yahoo.com. I had a very similar incident with enterprise. I am escalating my case and may even contact an attorney to see about a class action suit. I am wondering who you're insured with as I learned auto insurance company endorses Enterprise as their "preferred car rental company". Thank you, Mary

Enterprise Rent-A-Car fraudulent practices

So many complaints for Enterprise Rent a Car. Mine is very similar. I had a rental car for the better part of a month, black and compact. I live in PA, the rental car and my car being repaired was in Maryland. My dad agreed to drive the car to MD and retrieve mine as he was off of work. He was instructed by Enterprise to drop the car off at the body shop, they did that all the time. He did, without issue as the car was not damaged. The next day the PA branch called me and said there is a big scratch on the car, and the company would be calling me for a statement. They did, and I did my research online and found that fraudulent claims are common practice with Enterprise. Eventually they sent me stock photos, 1 by 2 inches and black and white of a black car. Impossible to link to the car and pathetic attempt at extortion. I had cancelled my credit card because they are clearly looking for a black check to charge fraudulent damages to. Collections letter has just come. Such a shady company and I feel awful for everyone who has been impacted. A girl called me from a blocked number a few weeks ago to argue about this rental claim and got super defensive when I brought up their negative online presence and basically hung up on me saying we'd be going to collections. I am sure they are taking advantage of the situation and think it is criminal.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car fraudulent toll violation

I received two letters recently from Enterprise Rental company pertaining to alleged unpaid tolls during recent car rentals.

In each case the letter states that a highway toll was unpaid during the rental period and that they would be charging my credit card for the unpaid toll as well as a $15.00 service fee ($1.75 toll + $15.00 service fee).

There is simply NO validity to these claims. I thought there was some clerical mistake when I received the first letter from my first rental. Now that I have received a second charge from a subsequent rental I am certain that this is outright FRAUD. I will be contacting the attorney general's office to file a complaint.

They did the same thing to me. Applied false charges that they have repeatedly failed to back up with any evidence despite multiple calls/requests. This is a flat-out scam the they engage in regularly

Good evening, I am writing for assistance with toll violation charges for two separate car rentals I had with enterprise on Aug. 26 thru Sept. 13 and Sept. 16 thru Sept. 21. I called and left a brief detailed voice mail on Sept. 24th providing my name and telephone number, I also included the contract numbers for the car rentals. It is now October 15, I am still waiting to be contacted by an enterprise representative regarding this. I would like someone to contact me regarding this a.s.a.p.. Thank you.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car damage repair scam

Rented and returned a vehicle in the exact same location, but had to
drop the keys in the deposit box, as my flight departed before the
rental counter opened. Two days later, a manager calls and emails to tell
me that there is damage to the vehicle.

There were NO incidents in that car while it was in my possession, so
the damage could only have occurred on THEIR lot or been present at the
time I rented it.

In any event, because the renter is "responsible" for the vehicle
until the rental agent gets around to checking it in, anything could
happen to the vehicle after it is technically returned. Never will I
rent from Enterprise again--and I travel for work about half of the
year.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car charging for invisible damages

I had a very bad experience with Enterprise Rent-A-Car recently also.

Absolutely taking my business elsewhere! Beware to be scammed!

I am writing regarding the 2013 Honda Civic, which I rented from a local office (4600 S Wadsworth Blvd, Littleton, CO 80123)
of Enterprise Rent-A-Car from July 9 through July 23, 2014.

When I returned the rental car to the local office, two clerks noticed very few and very tiny dents on the hood of the car. They said that the car had hail damages during my possession. I told the clerk that the tiny dents must have already been there when I picked up the car. When picking up a rental car, we only pay attention to scratches and not to tiny spots. In addition, there were no hail storms at all in the area during the two-week period when I rented the car.

The clerk promised me that he would do research for any hail storms during the two weeks before putting me as responsible for the damages. Obviously, he did not do any research and just put me responsible for those tiny dents. I searched the internet for the weather history in the Denver area on each day during the two week when I rented the car. There is not a single indication that there was a hail storm in the area during the rental period. I drove only 144 miles for the two weeks and certainly did not drive to other places.

In a few days after returning the car, I received a letter from Enterprise. It demanded me to claim hail damage compensation to my credit card company. (Claim Number: [protected]) I responded saying that this is a scam and it should be stopped. But to no
vail, they called me and said that I was still responsible for the damages. I honestly couldn’t believe this was happening. How could I be blamed for damage that was not even visible to me nor that I caused?

From different blogs, we can find that Enterprise has done this damage car trick a few times before. Avoid Enterprise if you can. If you cannot, be sure to check and all dents, dings, and scratches and put them on the contract prior to driving off the lot with Enterprise.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car card processing

This car rental company left my wife and two kids stranded at the airport when the employee and manager were not trained on how to process a bank card. Being late in the evening my wife had to call relatives for a ride. The next day my wife called our bank and eventually the bank and my wife figured out how to operate the car rental computer to process the payment. I had already told the employee what needed to be done but I was told they aren't required to provide the extra card security measures. Turns out they were wrong. While my wife did finally get a car the next day, no upgrade was offered and the discount they claim they entered did not appear on the final bill. I have called multiple times since the car was returned to get some satisfaction but I have yet to receive a call or any apologies. Obviously Enterprise Car Rental got their money and does not plan to make good on their mistake. It has been over a month since the event. Steer clear of this business. I rate companies based on how they handle problems and this company has clearly failed.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car billing and witholding from my adjuster, harassment, sheer hell.

I have had no choice, after weeks of daily harassment, my spending 1-4 hours per day for 2-3 weeks attempting to get the necessary billing paperwork from enterprise to my adjuster, and the adjuster of the woman who hit me. Enterprise has delibrately withheld, used scare and bully tactics, sneak attacks, daily harassment's, threats, threatening phone calls and texts, spoof/cloud phone numbers, fake detectives posing as law enforcement, and more. Here is a copy of the letter explaining the utter hell I have gone through will trying to heal from my personal injuries. Enterprise has done nothing but make every day a living hell as I try to get to doctor appointments and legal appointments. I have filed w the better business bureau, fraud reports, consumer affairs, consumer reports, enterprise corporate, enterprise help/cs, customer svc scoreboard, complaints board, and a number of additional avenues to get my voice heard, to have someone actually take hold and responsibility for this awful service, and to warn potential customers of the utter hell enterprise puts you thorough. You are better off going to hertz, or similar companies such as that, with a 'family' mentality, down to earth, and more. Enterprise has gotten to big for it's britches, and sadly, once you go up, the only way left is down. Enterprise has lost the love of the family values, care, respect, responsibility, and more, and replaced it with the above awful tactics and ways which will undoubtedly ruin, destroy, and end the enterprise company. It is only a matter of time and I will sit and watch it happen with a huge smile on my face for the sheer nightmare this co has put me through, never again and I will ensure all who know me, (And don't) choose to pick a different co when going on vacation, or are in desperate need of a vehicle from either lifes circumstances, an auto accident and more. Here is what has been submitted to the appropriate channels of enterprise.

I am writing to you out of complete
And utter frustration dealing with local offices of enterprise rent a car, the
Additional 'scare tactics' and complete disregard to not be harassed what so
Ever from said local office and now, 'corporate office' supposedly, namely,
Rebecca farrell, personal cell number of: [protected]& (Or at times only a cell number of:
[protected] (who texted and called me at 6am upto 11pm….) also, a fake detective attempting to pose as law enforcement, with
No full name given, and only the use of spoof/clouded cell numbers of:
[protected]@. I have spoken to local
Police department who let me know, supposed true enterprise employees do not
Use cell phones, text, nor are permitted the use of cell phones, so I would
Love to know who the hell these people employed by enterprise are, as well as,
How it is they are permitted to continually harass, deceive, and lie to me, a
Valid customer with enterprise, who has been trying to heal from injuries
Sustained in an auto accident, thus my unfortunately having to use enterprise
Car rentals. I have additional numbers,
Of supposed enterprise employees in the short hills location of pa, who called,
As well as called and left messages upto 8 times daily (Not including hang
Ups).
Due to the real police officer i
Spoke with today, who insisted enterprise does not call from cell numbers nor
Texts, I am disregarding all communication from “rebecca farrell” who is a
Supposed corporate employee at (Number texted to me-story below, as I cannot
Confirm it indeed is anyone other than another of your spoof blatant attempts
At fraud - the number given to me but not called from is: 610-558-5808x240. I have written to the president of the company as well as the additional select
Titles below him in regards to this offensive matter. As “rebecca” was told, no one is to contact
Me personally, my cell, nor any of my families-close/extended nor xhusbands
Home as they have been dealing with thus far.

My attorneys will be in contact with
The proper channels I am hoping this week, or, depending how long it takes to
File the appropriate paperwork as I also file harassment charges and attempting
To pose as law enforcement charges and whatever else I can in my power to
Ensure these horrendous actions do not take place by your company again against
Unknowing, and or injured potential clients.

For the past few weeks, my insurance adjuster has been handling everything to
Ensure enterprise receives its 'money due' for an outstanding bill, but in the
Same breath, sadly the local enterprise, and, division of corporate refuses to
Release any paperwork, nor contact the additional adjuster who hit my (Your)
Rental car, secondarily to my own personal car accident I had in my vehicle 1
Week earlier to rent said car.

I am distraught, beyond upset, disappointed, fed up, and tired of continuously
Repeating myself to different branches of enterprise - (The short hills pa
Office, as well as the riverdale nj office, and now a new harassing 'corporate
Employee'-supposedly - who is also in pa.

I can give you the overview below, but I am writing to inform you, and in hopes
You can find a way to sort out this mess, one person, who will not use bully
Tactics, lying, spoof/cloud phone numbers and cell numbers, numerous hang ups
On my extended families, x-husbands home, and my cell phone, now that I have
Requested to not be contacted and to please stop creating such a rift and
Strain among myself and my family members. I am a mother of 2 older
Children, a single mother, who has prior had 2 back surgeries, 2 arm surgeries,
And a spinal cord injury, I am on appeal for permanent disability at 40yrs of
Age after working in the medical field.
This all, before the said accidents above, at which, I cannot even heal from
Nor see the appropriate doctors, as well as a very important legal appointment
This tuesday, and a subsequent week away with my family that my aunt was so
Kind to invite my son who is 16, and myself to, since I have been unable to
Spend as much time w him as I would like due to finances, injuries, and now,
Potential lack of car and money - let alone the escape from this hell is something my
Blood pressure, stress, heart/chest pain, and more desperately need.

I need someone's help, someone who will listen without bully tactics, without
Calling me with threats, without calling me after I asked them not to (Said
Offices above) and without impersonating law enforcement on a phone call, only
To find out after threats an 'spoof fake email and phone numbers' that the
Person has no affiliation with law enforcement at all.

I am so distraught, emotionally exhausted, upset, I can't even find the words
To express. I am writing to you as my last gasp attempt while very willing to
Take matters in my own hands against these people and/or persons who have gone
Above and beyond to emotionally drain me, cause added stress and anxiety, as
Well as added pain due to said stress and anxiety. Please can you find a
Way to help, or get this under control?

This is what is gong on:
I rented from enterprise in short hills, pa two weeks after after I had an
Automobile accident, I got picked up at an extended families house and gave
That enterprise/driver their phone number in the event the driver got lost.
I was told I was to be given a car of equal value on the phone when
Trying to book this vehicle, I was given (On the phone w some also seeming 'new
Employee' an address to a 'sattelite office' that did not even exist. Luckily i
Changed and requested a pick up instead of trying to find someone to drive me
To 'that' location.
When I arrived at the short hills pa enterprise, I was given a tiny
Compact chevy sonic, the only car available and the only car in the parking lot
After I was told I would be given car of equal value to my convertible audi
That was totaled in my car accident. Initially, with the chevy sonic, in
Short hills pa, when I receive the car, I was initially registered by a new
Employee, whom was to bill under my auto insurance as this was due to a car
Accident, my using 'enterprise' as a rental.
Upon filling out my information in his computer he was told to look at the back
Of my nj drivers license for my updated address by his supervisor and not use
The front of my license which was my old address. He then screwed up the entire
Entry and had to re do it unsupervised, as I watched him I had a feeling he
Entered the front of my license, but his supervisor had stopped back at his
Computer looking at the entry, so I then was relieved it was correct.
After approximately one week I switched vehicles as the sonic was terrible in
The rain, this was at a different enterprise in wayne, new jersey. They entered
The sonic into their system, and traded the nissan juke suv out putting it in
Pa stores system - or something to that extent.

2 to 3 weeks later I got in a car accident again with the rental car (I was
Side swiped in philadelphia pa), the other driver received a ticket. Once I healed
Enough from my injuries, about 1-2wks later, I went back to the pa enterprise
To have the car evaluated for damages, I filled out whatever paperwork and
Handed in whatever paperwork I had from the police officer.

I then left with the car again to continue my day and drs appointments in weeks
Ahead. Originally approximately one week after the accident, the rental company
Started calling my extended family easily getting about 8 to 10 calls a day
From enterprise not including hang ups. I rarely received a single call on my
Cell phone. I was told then from enterprise they were taking it upon themselves
To bill my bank credit card $300, in only a message on my cell phone for
The bill to date-although they were to bill directly through my insurance, and
Therafter, of course, the womans insurance who hit me. Of course their billing
Was denied on my cc. I was also told I owed $1, 500, my deductible, upfront upon
Returning this vehicle while they were billing through my auto insurance for
The rental. Not once was this explained to me at time of rental, although alot
Of useless additional jibber jabber sales tactics was.
The endless amounts of phone calls and hang ups at my extended families home
Begin creating huge strain on our personal relationship as I was unable to stop
These calls although enterprise had been told numerous times as well as my
Crossing the number off any paperwork I filled out when I had returned to have
The car evaluated for its damage. My family going through the will of a
Deceased family member at the time, as well as cleaning the home, dealing with
Another death, and more.
The calls consisted of numerous threats of repossession, reporting it stolen,
The amount of my bill (Which I did not owe due to insurance billing plus
Secondary insurance/claim number billing from the second accident on both sides
/mine and the person who hit me's claim#s) and more. All the while, my
Adjuster, my attorney, my insurance agent all agreed billing should be through
The person who hit me's insurance company and I should not have to put out a
Dime. I was in constant contact with my adjuster, michelle g, who assured
Me everything was being taken care of, as well as the appropriate information
Being handed to the other womans insurance company (Erie) and
More. Always, within 2-5 days from my discussing and being assured all
Was well by my insurance adjuster, the local office at short hills would call
Me constantly, threatening to reposess, and more, at the same time, I was told
By my insurance adjusters to not deal with anyone who is not an adjuster, as i
Begged them to call this local office who had continously harassed me day in
And day out, calls and private cell phone texts anywhere from 6 am - to 11pm-
Day in, and day out.

All the while I had been attempting to go to doctors and legal appointments i
Have had scheduled as the added stress, aggravation, threats I received and my
Extended family received calls endlessly - literally 8-10 per day, not including
Hang ups.
From personal cell phones of said supposed enterprise employees, spoof and
Cloud cell numbers from all over the united states including georgia and
Florida, text to my cell phone from personal enterprise employees at 6 a. M. 8
A. M. Up to 11 p. M. Along with my cell phone ringing no message left and they would
Hang up.
My adjuster had been handling everything alongside my attorney both assuring me
Me all bills should be through the other woman's insurance while they requested
Said paperwork to have the enterprise bill paid in full.
Finally, I reported my problems to the better business bureau or a similar
Site. I got another call from the local short hills office and flat out
Snapped - literally. I screamed yet again, for them to not call me, and to
Only speak w my adjuster, as they have no part in what was going on, nor knew
What was going on since I had recently been accused of deliberately giving the
Wrong address to enterprise when I booked the vehicle, when in fact, the
Employee entered the wrong address when he re-entered my information in the
Computer. No one asked me to confirm what he entered in the system, nor,
Could I see what he entered in the system. It was then, that I was told
They were going to report the car stolen (June 11th or soon therafter, I have a
Text stating it, plus numerous phone messages) on these grounds, while I was
Nothing but helpful and truthful in regards to my booking, renting, and the
Accident, along w providing every ounce of paperwork I received regarding the
Accident from the police officer who was there.

I later was accused again, this time, for not having the vehicle looked at
After the accident in the juke. My attorney calling me saying what is
Going on? They're saying you gave wrong info, and that you have not had the
Car looked at by enterprise since the auto accident (Now weeks later) I then
Informed him they are incorrect yet again, and I indeed had the vehicle looked
At as well as have all copies of the information along w the managers
Signature.

The saga continued. I would get threats from the local
Office, (Either one) and then speak w my adjuster who would let me know she
Spoke to the appropriate adjuster/people and that things are in the works to
Get enterprises bill paid. Always within 2 days, i'd get another wave of
Misguided calls by enterprise employees again threatening, harassing, and more,
While they don't know what is going on, what is paid, who my adjusters even
Are, let alone the fact, that I had the car looked at by the pa
Enterprise. One side of enterprise had no clue what the opposite is doing.

Two days before the current 4th of july holiday (Wed. July 2nd 2014) I received
Yet another call from my adjuster michelle g, normal tone, no problems announce
To me that she was still trying to contact enterprise and was awaiting
Additional paperwork for the billing to go through the appropriate channels.
One day before a national holiday at 4 p. M. (Thursday july 3rd 2014) I received
A phone call from a detective, and for me to call immediately based on a report
Of a stolen vehicle my rental, the 2014 juke.
Within 30 seconds I also received a text from a different phone number telling
Me to call this person due to grand theft auto, mind you, I had been rest
Assured all was taken care of, the bill was in or under way, also, enterprise
And anyone affiliated was not to call me, under any circumstances as they have
Beyond harassed, lied, tried blaming me for the lack of information as well as
Incorrectness of their new employee, and more every waking day of my life,
For 2 weeks or more, I have never been so stressed, upset, blood pressure
To the max, filled w anxiety, tears, additional severe pain due to my prior and
New injuries from this accident, and now here I am, trying to enjoy a holiday
Weekend, and yet again, someone from enterprise who dosen't know what is going
On, nor who should be calling me anymore whatsoever, is now threatening me.
Upon researching the phone numbers of the text, as well as the detectives, i
Learn both numbers are cloud numbers meaning there was a fake forwarding number
Given to me while the person on the other end of the line could stay in hiding
With their real cell phone number.

By then received a call from a supposedly enterprise corporate employee
Threatening to immediately call the police and report the car stolen, all at
4-430pm on a thursday (7/3), before fourth of july weekend, as now my
Attorney was gone for the day, my adjuster now gone for the day, this
'corporate enterprise employees' timing precise to attempt to threaten, use
Scare tacticts and bully me, to again try to get what they wanted - all the
While the opposite of what I am being told by my insurance and my adjuster.
When I called this detective, I asked the detective what police department they
Worked with, they let me know they don't work with one they are personally
Hired company by enterprise. I told them to contact my attorney and I hung up.
I called the supposed corporate enterprise employee who would not give me her
Real name title at enterprise or her direct corporate number at her desk, as
She called me from her personal cell phone, she continuously threatened to call
The police and report the car stolen if I do not agree to certain terms within
The next 5 minutes, and then said if I did agree, she would 'call off the dogs'
On that thursday july 3rd, before 5pm. She then said I could contact her all
Weekend if need be because it was her cell number.
I have been dealing with this for well over three weeks although enterprise has
Been told and their employees do not contact me whatsoever from the excess of
Strain emotional distress anxiety an inability to handle all of their threats
Which are empty, as I was told on and off, by local enterprise employees who
Were in the wrong by stating I delibrately gave wrong address info, as well as
Did not get the car checked after the accident w the rental, I have been told
On and off for over three weeks my rental car was going to be repossessed or
Reported stolen-only for my adjuster, to say ignore it, and don't listen to
Anyone but the adjusters, and myself to only find out they were all empty
Threats.
So why would I think anything different from someone who cannot even identify
Themselves or from said detective who is not with law enforcement using a
Clouded number as well as a spoof forwarded cell number?

I texted the woman, who supposedly worked for corporate, she, after 4 xs my
Asking her to identify herself, finally did, of course initially told me, she
Would give the info to my attorney, but only after the car is returned, then,
Only after my own threats (Promises actually as I have never been so insulted,
Fed up, and emotionally exhausted by the continued harassment) to press the
Necessary charges against whomever falls into the harassment, impersonating law
Enforcement, emotional distress, and duress I have delt with for weeks
Literally, on end.

I have saved all the necessary texts
And voice messages requred to press charges against a number of people within
Enterprise, and, but the sheer hell I have gone through, I have heard every
Excuse in the book, as to why she wants me to return the car.

#1 because insurance isnt paying the
Bill

(Although when asked if she
Contacted erie insurance, she said no, simply because they aren’t going to pay
It, my attorney on the other hand, said of course they would, so I guess the
Woman from enterprise is now an ‘attorney’ too.)

#2 because its past 30 days.

(No 30 day anything was explained to
Me at time of rental, or re rental of the 2nd car nor up until yesterday have i
Heard a word regarding.

#3 because the car is unsafe

(All of a sudden, although i've
Driven it this entire time?)

#4 because it needs maintenance

(The car is fine, and undenounced to
Me was I told I was to maintain it

#5 an initial reasoning: because I was being deceiving - giving wrong information as to my
Address... Although the employee is the one who did not flip over a 1oz drivers license to see
My current address! Omg I am soo angry I can't even type...

She was told today, she is not permitted to speak to me, contact me in any
Shape or form, nor any enterprise employees, hired companies thereof, and
More. You, mr taylor, if you are able to assist me in this matter or
Sheer hell from renting an enterprise car due to an automobile accident I had
During a very down and hard time in my life right now, are welcome to contact
Me, and you alone. Of course, supposedly as of monday at 8am, this 'corporate'
Employee is going to report the car stolen, amazing, that the car is stolen-
Yet - she's giving me 3 more days to 'steal' it?

I am a mother of 2, a single
Mother of 2 excellent older 16/22 children - who both want to be police
Officers.

I am no thief. I am no criminal. And I refuse to
Be treated or implied as such by yet another sneak threatening fear tactic of
An enterprise employee. (Actually more than 1).

I will be aiming to file harassment charges, restraining
Orders, and the hope all communication by any enterprise employees or companies
Hired thereof to me stopped. They will need to either speak to my adjuster or
My attorney at which, I will be retaining another one, for the sheer harassment
And hell all of your employees and sub/hired companies of false identified
Detectives/law enforceements as well.

I have been told by everyone on my side adjuster insurance agent and so on that
If it is not an insurance adjuster from either company mine or the woman who
Hit me I do not have to speak to anyone else, and I have been told that for
Weeks and I intend to listen-yet again, to this advice from here on out and not
Fall prey to these aweful tactics a companies such as yours seems to love to
Use by looking at the better business bureau, and similar websites full of
Thousands of complaints against such.

I have been told by the enterprise corporate fake employee she is
Reporting the rental stolen now on monday morn. Instead of this past friday if
8ts not returned by 8am monday-of course again before my adjusters and
Attorneys (Now and in future) can make necessary calls I also have a majorly
Important appointment with a third attorney of mine, for depositions, and now,
Thanks to the aweful, lying, sneaky, fear instilling type tactics of this
Enterprise corporate employee, I may miss my appointment, at which, I am sure
My third attorney, will want explanation by this corporate employee as well.
She also refuses to give me her supervisors number and contact information as
Well. I cannot even guarantee the person on the personal cell phone is even one
Of your employees, corporate or not.
The nj enterprise and the pa enterprise have no idea what either is doing nor
What paperwork they have, nor just how many harassing phone calls have been
Done to my, and my extended families and xhusbands home between those two
Combined and the fake detective as well.
They are all harassing and threatening me all within one to two days of
My adjuster and insur agent was telling me things were under control and the
Appropriate calls were made to the other adjuster a long list all claim
Information given and needed and that billing was underway or will soon be and
The bill would be paid for enterprise, but the always contradict anything
That was going on filling it with their empty threats and harassing calls i
Would ensure them all is taken care off on one phone after speaking w my
Adjusters and agents, then within 3 days I would receive a call from someone
Else in another enterprise insisting the car was going to be reported stolen
And everything else.

I am not able to handle the emotional turmoil, family strain, anxiety, and
Stress, sleepless nights, increased bloodpressure, severe increase of pain
Physically from the strained muscles and tightened stress atop my injuries past
And present from what enterprise has put me through.

I will never use enterprise again and I will insist any insurance company
I have if I am sadly in a position like this again again needing a rental car
Will use a different company, because I will refused to use enterprise are any
Affiliation with ever again if things cannot be sorted, put under control, as
Well as formal apologies given by all employees who have put me through
Absolute hell and turmoil for all of these weeks plus the 'fake'
Detectives that are nothing more than someone behind a desk, lying as to who
They are, yet again.

I am so disappointed that a company as large as enterprise, actually does this
To their customers, even when things are being fixed, also while I have sat
Passively by while being accused of things, that enterprises new (And manager)
Employees have done or not done correctly with my personal information and
File.

Please, get to the bottom of this, i
Cannot take this anymore, and will exert my own power as a citizen, mom and
Woman who has always done things in the right my entire life. I will not accept
Treatment such as this, by anyone especially, enterprise and it's employees.

Thank you for your time in this
Matter.

Sincerely,
Michelle m.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car insurance fraud

Enterprise Rent-A-Car office, located 852 W
6Th St, Corona, CA 92882, has accused us of damage to a vehicle we
rented. Upon returning the car, the only person in the office, asked if
we were the customers from the body shop, I said Yes, and
he instantly went outside, and come back in within a few seconds, and
claimed the vehicle had damage - he had not even looked up the rental
agreement, nor did he have any of our information, and I asked him how
he had any knowledge of the damage, or lack thereof, seeing as he hadn't
even taken our info, or looked it up. I asked him for proof that the
vehicle was undamaged when we took possession of it, and he could not
come up with ANYTHING, no rental agreement, no documentation whatsoever,
to support his outlandish claim. This person Identified himself as the
"manager" and due to his being called out for missing rental agreement,
and making unfounded claims of damage, he became quiet, and wouldn't
give me his card, nor his name. I continued to request the receipt, as
well as the rental agreement copy, and he excused himself, and began
dealing with other customers that had arrived in the middle of this
issue. We've called our insurance company, USAA, and filed a fraud
complaint, as well as the BBB, and now we are taking it social. You kids
need to stop stealing from customers, stop making fraudulent claims
against customers insurance carriers, and get out of the business of
making shady and false damage recovery claims an income generating
enterprise. Shame on you, and specifically, to the staff of the
Enterprise unit on 6th Street, Corona California.Photo enclosed is as
this issue took place, the "dent" that Enterprise has filed a claim of
$401.07.

I have just received a letter from your offices informing me of a an amount due? £131.89
No explanation as to what this is for?
Impossible to get through on the given telephone number?
Tried twice and waited well over 30 minutes the first time then 30 minutes the second time?

I fear this bill may be for a slow puncture I had repaired by your recommended repairers if this is the case then I feel somewhat very disappointed by your level of service. especially as this could have been present when I picked up the vehicle.
I await your reply before I decide my next action.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car charged $19.51 for illinois toll which was already paid

In March my husband and I travelled to Chicago, IL from Windsor Ontario, Canada. We rented a car from Enterprise for the trip. While in Illinois we came across some tollways which accepted only change. We did not have enough U.S change on us and read a sign that said the toll could be paid online for a few days afterwards. We went home and paid two tolls online using this method and have receipts for both payments. While returning the car we informed Enterprise about this happening and they told us not to worry about it as we had made the payment. Now in June (almost three months later) we received a letter in the mail yesterday from Enterprise stating that we will be charged $19.51 for the toll and administrative fees because of unpaid toll! It states that they are "paying the violation" on our behalf. I don't understand why Enterprise is "paying on our behalf" when we have already paid the full amount on time AND confirmed with Enterprise that nothing like this would happen. Why didn't enterprise contact us before paying "our behalf"? The worst part is that there is no customer service number, just a voicemail number which I have not yet received a response from. We have called our local Enterprise branch and they were not very informative. We have been renting from Enterprise for years and were very pleased until this incident. I refuse to pay $20 for nothing but also don't want to spend hours hunting down the proper contact. Very frustrating...

Don, I see what you are saying. However, Enterprise should have contacted us and informed us of the situation instead of paying the toll on our behalf and tacking on $15 in administration fees. That way we could have contacted the Toll Authority directly and cleared things up.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car previous damage prior to rental

My insurance company rented me a car from enterprise in Dec 2012. I left the lot and after a short time the tire pressure light on. I pulled over and noticed damage on the rim of the car. I called enterprise so they said that they would note it and not to worry about it. I foolishly did just that. Upon my returning the car, the agent had not noted the account. Therefore, I now have a bill for $300+. Now, I never use enterprise for business or otherwise nor do my employees. It was previously my preferred company.

I rented a car from them due to my car being in the shop, i have a warranty that pays for my car rental and when i returned the car they wanted me to pay for the gas, well if I have a warranty that covers rentals then they can cover the gas

This stance that this company has is also familiar to me. Yesterday, after driving their rental vehicle successfully the day before, I used the key to turn on the ignition. Nothing! The battery was dead. I could turn the key to the ignition position, but then the key wouldn't come out. The car was due back today. I let them know what had happened and now they claim that I put the wrong key in the car and that I would be responsible for all charges.
It happens that they did not have a tag on this key and they claim this never happens because they "always have a tag" on their keys, and that I have put a different key in the ignition. The car worked fine the day before using this key - - the only one I have for it and it was one they gave me.

I have contacted my insurance company who rented this vehicle for me while my car was being repaired. I think I will have to contact a lawyer as well. Already they have tried to get me to call a tow company to tow it out of my garage at my expense. I refused saying that it was not my responsibility. Now the general manager is coming out to my house in the morning. He informed me that it must be the wrong key and that I would be responsible.

Not only is this company dishonest, but their customer relations is terrible. I would never rent from them and would not have accepted this rental car had not my insurance company done do. I have reported them to the company so that they think twice about using them again.

You always check over a vehicle before you rent it. Because they can pin it on you because it was not on the rental car damage prior to rental form.

I had the exact same thing happen to me! Since then they are trying to make me pay for it. i told them upfront that I didn't have the $500. They said they went through my insurance company. I told my insurance not to because I didn't damage it. It already had dents on the roof of the red Colbolt. If anyone has rented this vehicle, it is registered in Georgia. This is ruining my credit and this is not even my fault!

Enterprise Rent-A-Car outrageous damage claims

On 5/16/2014 we rented a minivan with enterprise at the honolulu airport (3255 aolele st) location for our wedding weekend. upon initial inspection and walk around of the chrysler minivan, we were told by the enterprise staff not to worry about anything “smaller than a golf ball”. that being said, we proceeded to checkout and be on our way.

Three days later when we returned the vehicle, the person that examined the car asked us if we had noticed two small damages (smaller than a golf ball) to the rear and side of the car. one damage they pointed out was a small dent you could barely even notice without standing to the side of the car and looking for it really hard. she actually had to get a second opinion from someone else to determine if there actually was any damage or not. we had never noticed nor caused these damages and throughout our rental period were not involved in any incident or collision. they took note of the damages found and we were taken inside to speak with another rep. the rep performed a background check on the car and indicated that no prior damage was reported on the car, therefore making us responsible. the fact that we were responsible for unknown damage to the car that were smaller than a golf ball contradicted what the enterprise staff member who pulled up our car told us. we understand the policy of being responsible for any damages during your rental period of the car. having said that, we question that the car was inflicted with these damages while being rented by us. it is truly unfair to make your customer pay for damages that were not caused by them. feeling helpless and baffled, we left hawaii and waited to hear back from enterprise.

A few weeks later, we received a claim report from the recovery unit that assessed the vehicle, which included pictures of the damages as well as additional damages (scratches on the door smaller in size than a golf ball as well), never before seen by us nor mentioned by the person processing our return. the day we returned the car, we took pictures of the minivan and the damages found and have kept them. we should not be responsible for these damages - especially the ones that were not found at return. now we’re stuck with a bill for $1400 (including $200 fee for "loss of use" and $100 administrative fee). it’s alarming.

We did research, and found that this is not a first time occurrence of something like this happening at this particular location at the honolulu airport and enterprise in general. it makes us question - is enterprise just taking advantage of customers on their vacations, weddings, honeymoons, etc.?
See the following reviews for just a few examples of shady practices, both from this particular location and other locations:

During our two week stay in hawaii we also rented cars from dollar and budget and both transactions were truly hassle-free and without incident.in fact, this is our first time renting from enterprise ever and also happens to be the first negative experience we’ve both faced in our long history of renting cars. we both do a lot of travel for work, and will make certain we never have to rent from enterprise again, even if it’s a company preferred vendor.

Renter beware; avoid enterprise like the plague and go with any other car rental company, or you’ll be sorry.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car - enterprise charging for invisible damage

Rented a car from Enterprise on April 19th, day after my husband's car accident. I went to Enterprise because my law firm often rents from that location. Ashley checked me in and because it was a Saturday the place was mobbed and another girl took me out to the car to check it out. Didn't see any damage but it was raining so we moved around the car very...

Enterprise Rent-A-Car stolen I phone

I am a member of Her Majesty’s Armed Forces currently serving in Cyprus. On 24 April I returned to the UK (London Heathrow) with my family for a 16 day holiday. Our flight was delayed so we arrived to pick up our hire car in the early hours of the morning. The staff that night were extremely helpful and quick to get us on the road to our next destination. The car itself was very economical and more than satisfactory.
When I returned the vehicle on 9 May, the staff again were extremely professional and the whole process was quick and painless. At this moment in time I was impressed with the service which had been provided and would have definitely used Enterprise again.
On that particular day we were spending the night at a Premier Inn which was a five minute walk from Enterprise. When I arrived at the hotel I realised I had left my mobile phone (I-Phone 4S) in the arm rest of the vehicle. Using my wife’s phone I rang Enterprise to inform them of the mistake I had made. The person I spoke to was very understanding and told me he would check the vehicle and ring me back as soon as he could.
Assuming the phone would still be in the vehicle I thought I may as well make my way down to Enterprise to collect it. As I was approaching I received a phone call explaining the phone was not in the vehicle, I explained I was two minutes away and would it be alright for me to check the vehicle myself, to which I was informed that this would not be a problem.
The car was in a queue to be washed when I arrived. I had a good look around the vehicle but I was unable to find the phone. Using my wife’s phone I then called the mobile number. I was forwarded to the answer phone, which I thought was strange as the phone was fully charged and would have had signal as my wife had the same phone, which was working fine.
I explained to the branch manager that I was not impressed and that I had reason to believe that somebody had taken the phone, as only about 20 minutes had passed since I had left the car. I was told that the area manager would check the CCTV in order to try to establish who had been in the car.
After waiting for about 20 minutes I explained to a member of staff that I had to be somewhere else and would appreciate it if somebody could ring me to let me know what was going on.
Approximately two hours later I had not heard anything so I rang Enterprise to find out what was going on. I was told that the footage from the CCTV did not show anyone taking the phone (which I never expected it to show events taking place inside a vehicle). However, it did show the person who drove the vehicle to the wash. I was then informed that Enterprise employ a different contractor to clean the vehicles so they would have to get in touch with their manager to identify the driver. I then explained that I would have to report the incident to the police and would need the drivers name. I was told this could take some time.
Approximately 30 minutes later I received a phone call with the name of the driver (Daniel Wnikowski). I asked if it was possible to have this person searched but was told that he had already left, but his manager had spoken to him and he had denied having any knowledge of the phone, which was to be expected.
I know that I am not going to get my phone back and that nothing is going to be done regarding the matter. It was my initial mistake to leave the phone in the vehicle but for it to go missing within 20 minutes is very disappointing. I would have thought that it would be obvious that if somebody was to leave a phone behind that they would return to get it. However, the world we live in today is full of dishonest people out to make a quick “buck”. I do feel that if the area manager had acted more promptly then there is a possibility that I could have been reunited with my phone. It is a shame that after being so impressed with the service I had received, that your reputation has now been tarnished by one persons selfish act, and that what had been an enjoyable couple of weeks in the UK with my family had ended on such a sour note. It is upsetting that somebody who is working under your contract representing your company has profited with a brand new I-Phone whilst I the customer have ended up out of pocket. I can not stress enough how disappointed I am with the final service I received from Enterprise and would be reluctant to use them again in the future.
