Enhanced Services Billing Inc. CRAMMING CHARGES ON PHONE BILL

I have my phone service through AT&T. Charges from an outside company keep showing up on my bill even though I have called and AT&T to let them know I never approved these services or fees and the rep said they would block the charges. They are still showing up 3 months later. I tried calling ESBI but have been on hold for over an hour and finally hang up each time. The Federal Trade Commission has filed a complaint but nothing has been done about this to stop it. I refuse to pay this charge so now my phone bill has past due charges for services I have not received or approved.!

Enhanced Services Billing Inc. Unauthorized charges

ESBI is engaged in the business of aggregating records for various service providers and transmitting those records to Local Exchange Carriers. In June 2008, they charged my AT&T account on behalf of Rocket Communication Services, Inc. After numerous hours of phone calls and research, I was finally able to get the fraudulent charges credited back to my account.

I just found out that they have once again submitted a fraudulent charge to my AT&T account this time on behalf of United Tel, LLC in the amount of $16.12.

I did not approve or have any prior knowledge of this MP3S Monthly subscription fee until this bill arrived.

AT&T will not rectify this illegal charge and says by law in the State of California it is legal for fraudulent third party charges be attached to utility bills such as this.

I will be once again be notifying the FCC and California Public Utilities Commission in regards to what ESBI is doing.

I noticed I have been charged $15.25 plus tax per month since october of 2009 on my phone bill. I did not authorize this. I enquired about it through my phone company's website before and got no reply. I have just submitted another complaint/dispute...we'll see.

In the month of September, I found a charge for a voice mail account from BLVD Network that I did not ask for. I called the phone company, and they told me to call the third party. I called them and they did take the $12.95 charge off, however, the very next month (October), I found another charge for another company called Myiproducts Imail, that I did not authorize.

You can only call Enhanced Services Billing on week days. The lines are quite busy. I am tired of this scam! The two company's and Enhanced Services Billing are doing this illegally and all should be investigated and stopped.

One saving grace here is that if you call your phone company, they have the ability to block all outside miscellaneous charges. Of course no one tells you that unless you ask if there is anything they can do. People who pay their bills without looking at them are getting ripped off royally! This has got to stop!

Enhanced Billing Services/MIIPRODUCT imail charged $15.85 onto my ATT phone bill without authorization. I called Att first and they credited my account and put a "block" on the account. They told me to call the company direct to make sure they don't rebill me. When I call EBS they transferred me to "the company that billed me", no names given, which was obviously out of the US. When someone finally answered, they kept asking for my name, address etc. to "verify". I refused to give it because they could use that info a "proof" of authorization. I told them they had to cancel the account and do not recharge me. We'll see what happens next. Someone should force our phone companies to require proof of charges prior to billing you, stopping this "CRAMMING".

Just discovered a fraudulent/unauthorized charge on my Verizon bill. Turns out these guys have been (lightly) slapped by the FTC in the past (2001). Everyone - including the phone companies - knows these guys are scammers. Most phone companies offer free "crammer block" options to prevent future occurrences such as these and will simply reverse the charges back to ESBI. But even if you get your situation resolved, PLEASE file a complaint (takes 5 minutes online) at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ But don't be discouraged by the fact that some of the questions don't seem to apply - there is an AMPLE comments section at the end that will allow you to provide whatever details the automated form won't allow.

If enough people file, maybe the FTC will take another look - obviously the first settlement in 2001 had no effect whatsoever.

Wells Fargo has cell phone coverage if you pay on their Visa. I had my cell phone for 3 years. I accidently washed it in the washing machine. I called Enhancement and they put me through hell attempting to get a new $107.00 cell. They finally said "yours is a prepaid plan with Metro so you are not covered. Hmmm... I was just told to pay on my Visa, which I do and I pay every month to Metro so I do not understand this. Plus they try to work their way out from the start on paying you. THEY ARE EXTREMELY CUNNING AND RUDE. THEY PUT YOU ON HOLD FOREVER AND START FROM THE VERY BEGINNING TO WORK THEIR WAY OUT FROM PAYING YOU. I AM GOING TO GO TO THE INSURANCE COMMISSIONER AND ASK ABOUT THESE PEOPLE. MAYBE THEY HAVE TOO MUCH SNOW ON THEIR BRAINS.

Enhanced Services Billing Inc. Frauduletly Billed

Unfortunately, I've not looked closely enough at my AT&T bill. According to Enhanced Services Billing we signed up for it in June 2005. We have NEVER signed up for it. They say we provided consent through a website but are unable to provide any details. We've been paying about $16 per month which works out to be $500. All they've offered is a 2 month credit. The funniest part is I got the credit but the line item is on the bill AGAIN! I see in the forums that many others have experienced the same by this worthless company.
