Enhanced Recovery Company [ERC] I was told that if I paid my account in full, that it would be removed

I was told that if I paid my account in full, that it would be removed. What would be the point of paying an account if fill and the charge remained on the account for seven years? That defeats the purpose of paying it in full. I didn't have any problems getting the negative accounts from my report except this one. So regardless, whether you pay or not, their account will remain on your account for seven years. That's insane! And unethical.

Its hilarious their *** rating is only above 2.0 because they force their employees to leave a 5-star review. I was called by someone who mispronounced my name and asked about a 5+ year old address. What a steaming pile of s*** the owner of this place is. They use scare tactics and harassment to try and collect old debt that has already been resolved. Probably works on those who do not know any better...

Enhanced Recovery Company [ERC] This alleged "collection agency" has sent my disabled mother a fictitious bill that is attempting to collect a debt with AT&T for a cell phone

This alleged "collection agency" has sent my disabled mother a fictitious bill that is attempting to collect a debt with AT&T for a cell phone THAT SHE NEVER HAD! These ERC fruadsters claim that she owes over $900! Funny thing is, AT&T says that she has a ZERO BALANCE! So, ERC is allegedly supposed to send a "fraud package" to her. Yeah, okay, sure! HOW can they get away with this Complaintsboard.com? She's going to suffer a hit to her EXCELLENT credit FOR NOTHING!

This company bought an account from At&t and reported the account to the credit bureau companies without notifying me. I was in the process of purchasing a house. This debt cause me to be denied my loan. What's sad is that the At&t debt was for a modem that was returned back in September . Had ERC sent the debt to the correct address, it would have been explained. And I would have closed on my house!

Pathetic company. I paid off the debt from AT&T 2 years ago and these clowns (ERC) still will not send me the letter I need so I can move forward with a line of credit that I need. Only a company like AT&T would hire a jack-leg company like this.

Deceptive , Harassing, Unearthing, Horrible , The company masks phone numbers to appear to be local business, in this case baltimore maryland. They are out of Jacksonville Florida, use scare tactics and rude behavior to solicit debt from someone with the same last name as me. I asked to be removed from the call list and they just call back masking their number from another part of the State. I have received over 79 calls in the past 20 days, all unwarranted.

I payed off my debt with this company (ERC) and they've yet to report I paid my debt off in full nor close my account. I've recently paid off other debts with different companies that have reported it immediately, yet this is one is different for some reason and blaming the credit bureaus. Apparently they don't delete things off your credit report either which other companies do. They should not be in business. I was given an excuse of it taking 30-40 days which isn't feasible for any one. A payment shouldn't be taken and then a person have to wait a month or two for it to be acknowledged the account was payed off in full. They're full of excuses and should be looked into by the Inspector General.

Enhanced Recovery Company [ERC] Absolutely horrible!

Absolutely horrible! I just received a collection notice from a specrum bill from 2 1/2 years ago that I know for sure is paid and the account has been closed. Ive never gotten anything from spectrum about it. She continued trying to get me to pay or set up a payment plan until I said I wasnt going to pay anything until I could get through to charter. Charter has no collection account under me or anything past due. I wouldn't trust them, do your research before you pay them anything.

Called ERC today 8/27 spoke with Jacqueline H. She was nice and respectful. When it came to asking about a pay to delete, she stated they don't do those types of letters and that it would be noted as "paid off in settlement." I did let her know that the only way this was going to be paid is if it was noted as "paid in full" and to have it deleted off my report. She stated that she would get a supervisor and that they would explain to me why it wouldn't be a pay to delete. I waited on hold for 15+ min before being hung up on. I called back and spoke with George W. After reiterating why I was calling, he transferred me to the escalation department and of course no one answered. I did ask for their address and it's the one that's listed on here, but on their website it's a P.O Box and on Credit Karma it's a different P.O Box. It's insane to pay a debt and for them to not delete it off your report. What's the purpose of that?

I only have them 1 star but I got a bill from them and I disputed it with transunion and it immediately got deleted from my report. Then I get this threatening letter from them saying they have no way to investigate wow it's funny every other company can. So I call and give them the reference number and talked to 2 different people since the letter said to call with any questions I gave them the reference number and both people refused to talk to me about the letter even though it said to call with any questions. doesn't sound like a legit company to me

Enhanced Recovery Company [ERC] They've had an open collection against me since 2015

They've had an open collection against me since 2015. I was one of the millions whose info was stolen from *** so I got the lifetime account access as part of the settlement and today I noticed that ERC has changed the open date from 2015 to 2020 because it was getting close to hitting the statute of limitations, now I'm fighting getting this removed because they are clearly committing fraud on behalf of &T, once 7 years hits they have to remove it from my credit but it seems they found a loophole and just reopened the account last year to make the 7 years start over."

Enhanced Recovery Company [ERC] Unfortunately, not a very understanding company

Unfortunately, not a very understanding company. My husband was diagnosed with cancer and passed away within 6 months. During this time my last At&T bill apparently fell through the cracks and ended up with ERC. I spent a couple months with family after my husband passed and when I returned home I received correspondence regarding the debt. I called them and made arrangements to satisfy the debt in full. I paid it three months after it was reported on my credit report. I explained my situation to them and asked if it were possible to have the collection deleted from my credit report since it has been paid. They have refused to do so. I totally understand that it was my debt. I was hoping this company would be understanding of my situation, but they were not.

Enhanced Recovery Company [ERC] I received a collections letter for one of my sons' phone bills in February

I received a collections letter for one of my sons' phone bills in February. It had since gotten filed away with some other paperwork and I found it in May. I called ERC because the letter was an offer to settle the account for less than the original balance. It took a couple of tries, but I finally got through to a customer service representative Kena B who was an absolute delight to speak with. She was very courteous and thorough throughout the entire call. She checked to ensure the settlement offer was still valid, which it was, and assured me that ERC updates accounts with all three credit bureaus on a weekly basis. The entire process took three to five minutes and my account was settled for almost half of the original amount. Many thanks to ERC and Kena for helping me to get my credit score back on the right track!

The business ERC billed fake charges, (fake charges defined as knowingly billing a balance that was dismissed to get collections even if they are aware of the false charges) after the case was proven as fraud from 2017, not this year. Even with a police report all documents sent in March, even after ERC verified and took it off my credit reports in 2020, they resent the same debt collection notice they sent in January in May. An investigation should be considered, as this wasn't a real debt, it was someone wrongly opening accounts in my name from 2017 at Sprint. Tammy H at ERC said today she had the copies of all the reports I sent via mail for the Sprint Fraud Management report that included my valid government id, police report and the notarized document validating that my account was tampered with from March.

In 2017, a collection was added to my account from *** The only reference number I have is XXXXX3790 2164XXXXX ,from my credit, I have never received a letter or call. I have attempted to dispute several times because I have no knowledge of this debt. I was not given notice that the collection was being added to my credit reports, which is a FDCPA violation. I am requesting the following information: 1. Full original Account Number 2. Date original Account was opened 3. Any written agreements between myself and the original creditor stating this debt is owed 4. Full account summary and itemized calculation of alleged debt 5. Date of the first delinquency 6. Dates and times of any phone calls made and to what number in attempt to contact me concerning the alleged debt before it was reported to an agency, and so proving that these calls were made in the times governed by FDCPA law. I also was not given the 30 day period to respond before the collection was added, which is a right guaranteed to me by law. If the above mentioned information cannot be verified, your collection must be deleted from all 3 credit reporting agencies. Thank you

Enhanced Recovery Company [ERC] I had closed my account with DISH Network and was advised to wait for the final bill before paying due to having to return equipment

I had closed my account with DISH Network and was advised to wait for the final bill before paying due to having to return equipment. I forgot about it and it was turned over to ERC. Spoke with a rep. from ERC after receiving the letter and set up three monthly payments. I was told as long I make payments, it would not be reported to my credit as a collection. When it came time for the 2nd payment they tried to automatically take it out of my account and my card company flagged it as fraud. So I went onto their website and tried to make the payment but they do not take AMEX. So I went to Dish website and paid the balance in full on April 1st as agreed. On April 9th I received a credit alert that ERC reported a collection paid in full. After speaking with several phone reps. I was told that it was reported to credit bureau on April 4th and in their system it shows I paid April 5th. I have my bank statements to show and receipt to show I paid April 1st. And IF I did not pay it until April 5th as there system shows, why report on April 4th that it was paid in full? The last person I spoke to told me that they will submit a deletion so it can be removed from my credit and that it could take up to 5 to 45 days and I should receive an email confirmation by 4 pm today. My experience with this company has been horrible, I expected the supervisor to have more knowledge. I am not confident that I will receive an email by 4 pm today or that it will be deleted off my credit. But I will be following up.

Enhanced Recovery Company [ERC] In one word

In one word. Deceptive. In Two words; absolutely deceptive. Had an account show up on my credit report from ERC from a supposed T-Mobile account (I am a current T-Mobile customer), but as my wife, three kids and I are in the process of working towards a mortgage, we called and spoke with a K. H. (who even provided his desk number). Polite, I'll give him that, but upon being asked if they would delete from the report once settled, he verbally agreed on 1/15 that it would be removed. on 1/21, I found my credit score to be updated with the remarks of: Settled, but nothing about removed. I called back and spoke with M.P. and L.E. (supervisor) who informed me they would not be deleting from the credit report, unless the rep on the call stated so, but that they'd have to pull tape. Fast Forward to today, 1/29 and I.L from the office of the president was the next person I called. She reiterated that they don't delete their tradeline from credit reports, but that they'd go back and do a call review of the tape from 1/15. IF they "found" that I was told as such, that the tradeline would then be deleted. The problem is, I cannot trust that they weren't blowing smoke, and that they'll actually delete the tradeline. I will not hesitate to file a complaint with the Complaintsboard.com, nor a dispute with the three bureaus, in order to get this removed from my credit which is why we settled the account to begin with. ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS get your communication with ERC in writing, PRIOR to actually resolving any account you may have with them.

Enhanced Recovery Company [ERC] ABOSULTELY THE WORSE EXPERIENCE!

ABOSULTELY THE WORSE EXPERIENCE! I am looking to get a loan and checked my credit score online. There was a balance from sprint and showed it was sent to a collection company ERC so I called the number on the experian website associated with Enhanced Recovery Collection. When i called it said the number has not set up a voicemail yet which was rather odd. I researched them online and shoulded they had a 1 rating on Complaintsboard.com and very bad reviews. I figured why would a compny as big as Sprint be associated with a company like that? It shows a lack on interest for past or present members. So not being able to get through to the number associated with my collection agency I called sprint After 2 hours of dealing with Sprint I was trasnferred a few times and sent back to calling the collection agency and I got a working number. I used to manage hotels but due to the covid19 situation i was let go. In the process I am trying to increase my credit score to get a loan to survive. My attorney wanted me to ask it I could get half off and they offered to do so. I gave them my card info, new they were recording because they let me know about 8times, and wanted me to say that if i relocate, move, etc that I will call to let them know. I was so confused as to why I would have to answer yes to that if i am paying off the settlement amount right then. Why would we need to contact each other. I also let them know i was recording the call as well. I would of rated them better but for the fact that they wanted to be able to track me down after paying off the account was rather shady.

Everything started last year aroung July/August 2022 when I wanted to upgrade my *** account, but instead of *** making a change to my current account at that time. *** created a new one without my consent. I called multiple times to explain this and no one helped so I stop paying the account becuase I was paying the new one which it's account # *** Then the old account went to collection and called again *** and they told me that they have nothing to do with the old account and that I needed to fix the problem they created with the collection agency. I called ERC and explained the situation again and they told me that I needed to contact *** and fix the problem with them and I order to remove my account and my name form their collection list I needed to pay the amount owed. I told them I do not owe anything to *** or them. Now ERC have been calling me every day to find out when they will receive their payment. When I talked to *** I told them to match both accounts and do the math... If they do it they will ended up with an overpayment from old account. I told them it was their mistake and did nothing but passing the ball to each deparmtemtn and to the collection agency. I don't have th old account but the account # ended with # *** and it was under my name *** with same address. The ERC account

Hi, I started getting random phone calls listed as "ERC" from various different numbers in the last week. I finally picked up a couple of times and it would just be silent before someone picked up. I started to look into this company & called them back. The representatives on the phone will ask you to confirm / provide personal details like your address before even telling you who they are or what kind of company they are. They are incredibly rude if you don't provide your personal information, however nobody should give their personal information to a stranger over the phone. After speaking to a few representatives to figure out why they kept calling me, one told me it had to do with business I had with ***. I have never had *** or done business with the company, so now I'm concerned over where this company even got my information. Now I'm concerned they were trying to take money from me for something I didn't owe, as others have reported them to do previously. Also, for any important "business matters" I would expect written notice in the mail for the paper trail. Optically, they look like a giant scam. Overall, if you're trying to randomly contact people for "business matters" you have to be ready to state who you are at the least. You have to send written notice if you're trying to collect a debt. Also, according to a ca.gov site (I'm in ***) debt collectors "cannot make repeated calls over a short period to annoy or harass you." Well I definitely did get repeat calls over a short period of time. Unacceptable.

Enhanced Recovery Company [ERC] Hello, I have received a bill from ERC Enhanced Recovery Company, LLC

Hello, I have received a bill from ERC Enhanced Recovery Company, LLC. On the bill it referenced they are attempting to collect on the behalf of *** Communications. The bill is uploaded. The amount of the bill is $222.65. I have never had services with ***. They also don't provide services in *** where I live. When I called to get information after receiving the bill, I was asked several times to pay the bill by giving ERC my credit card information. I informed I wouldn't pay the bill since it's not mine and I have obviously been a victim of stolen identity. I have placed several calls to ERC to obtain information on how my information was obtained to open this account. The only information I was given was the address of the location of services which is ***. I was also given the date the services started was November . I have not been successful with obtaining any other information and my identity was somehow stolen. I have never had cable with ***. I have not had cable with no company in a over a year. I have never lived in Michigan. This is some type of fraud or scam. *** also pulled my credit report on July 31 and did a account review of my credit report on November 03 according to Equifax. When I called ERC to dispute the bill, they would like for me to provide personal information such as a mortgage or lease agreement, utility bills and my drivers license. I do not feel comfortable providing ERC any of my personal information. Especially, since I feel the company is some type of scam to collect money. The also have my SS#. Please assist me with this issue so that they do not report wrong information on me to the credit companies or continue to take actions on my credit report that are not valid and correct. I asked to speak to a manager with ERC, I have not received a call back. I have filed a police report with ***. Thank you.

I was sent a debt collection notice for ANOTHER person (***) and my name is ***. I contacted ERC by phone in July 2022 and told them that it is incorrect (different name, different address and date of birth) but they failed to take action until I contacted a SECOND time in December 2022. This has affected my credit rating significantly.

I received a notice that I have a collection from ERC on my credit report. It says it was opened on 06/01/2022 for $1065 with account number starting in *** that I am not aware of nor am I responsible for. I never went into business with this company or signed any agreements with them so they should not be reporting anything on my credit. This is a violation of my rights as a consumer according to the FCRA and FDCPA. I would like for this collection to be removed asap or I will file a CFPB and FTC report.

I recently reviewed my credit report and Enhanced Recovery Company is still reporting to the bureaus on an account that continues to show as valid. I have been disputing this for over 6 months now. Dispute letters were sent on (05/03/2022, 06/02/2022, 07/04/2022, 08/02/2022, 09/01/2022, 10/03/2022, and 11/03/2022). These requests have either been ignored completely or no action has been taken. I am not liable for this debt with Enhanced Recovery Company.. I have no knowledge of this company or its existence. I have not been provided with any original contract stating that I owe them any amount of money or that I have signed any contract with them. I also have not given any verbal, written, or electronic authorization to report anything to my credit reports. I am demanding that this information be deleted immediately as it is affecting my financial abilities. Due to this hindrance, I am unable to further obtain credit, increase credit, and to lower my current interest rates and monthly payments.

Enhanced Recovery Company [ERC] I was told to dispute the validity of the debt that was sent to me (account number omitted, because it is stated that I should not list it)

I was told to dispute the validity of the debt that was sent to me (account number omitted, because it is stated that I should not list it). This EXACT DEBT was first brought to my attention from another debt collector, ***, for an address in *** (exact address is known, but again, omitted), where I have never lived or even visited in MY ENTIRE LIFE. Just like I did with ***, I may be tempted to get the complaintsboard.com and other groups in on this (I am doing this now --- I sent much of this information to ERC already). I even got Equifax to REMOVE (and they knew right away it was fraudulent and did so) the listed address that was on my account for that debt. Also, my name is ***, not "***" --- I don't know if that discrepancy is why you are trying to attach that debt to me, but I am also a CURRENT *** CUSTOMER (they claim I have an outstanding debt with ***, which is NOT POSSIBLE as I am a current *** customer, as I was told when I spoke with an *** representative months ago), and would not be allowed to be one if I actually owed that debt! That debt claims I was in *** at a time that was literally impossible, because I've been at my current address sooner, and I assume you have my current address, to send me the letter claiming that I owe the listed debt. To save myself some time, I'm going to copy/paste my last experience that dealt with the exact debt I owe: I spent THREE HOURS calling a bunch of folks about "***", a collection agency that claims I had an *** account and owe 6K (5,860.96) on. Luckily, I am no stranger to this rodeo --- I called ***, took screenshots on live chat, and got the receipts. Donna, a woman who works in the *** department, told me something very interesting as well...*** service isn't even offered ANYWHERE I HAVE EVER LIVED (three states), not to mention, nobody I spoke to found anything associated with me at the account number *** provided. *** was also puzzled that I would or could owe anything, because I am currently a wireless customer? *** is also linked to ***, so it was suggested I call them to check for any *** link as well, which I did. Dude knew about *** and knew about the account number...which HAD NOTHING ON IT. He called ahead to *** and told them to clear my name from their list. ---------- So, since *** has apparently given up, ERC is here for this? If I don't owe the debt, I DON'T OWE THE DEBT. PLEASE get ERC to REMOVE ME FROM THEIR LIST...now, I have to check my credit reports, AGAIN, to see if this address magically popped back on there, after being removed for being a fraudulent address from my account. The address was disputed, and the case was CLOSED, back in April (I actually sent them all the attachments I speak of, showing when the address was marked as fraudulent and removed). I have zero intention of paying the debt because I do not owe it. I would suggest finding out the other person or people who may have lived in that address in ***, because a search of my SSN, assuming you have it, would clearly point out that all the places I have lived in the last 15 or so years have been in , and the "debt" made in *** would be impossible for me to have made. I have great credit, even paid off all my student loans...why this is the second time I am dealing with this "debt", is beyond me, but I pay all the debts that I DO owe. This is not a debt that I am responsible for and I DO NOT owe it and WILL NOT pay it. I received a new letter, dated for December 23rd of 2020...which is funny, because I messaged them on January 3rd of 2021, and I'm pretty sure I only got their letter a day or so before that...this letter dated December 23rd reached me TODAY, on February 8th, over a month after filing my initial complaint with ERC --- Again, Complaintsboard.com, please help me and have ERC cease communications with me.

Enhanced Recovery Company [ERC] Collection for T-Mobile

I had T-Mobile several years ago. I couldn't pay my bill due to covid (I am a school bus driver and was fighting unemployment for over 13 weeks. They closed my account which I am not disagreeing with that. I sent all their equipment in perfect working and physical condition. I have proof of mailing and acceptance. When I called to make arrangements over the account, they said I would have to pay the full amount of the price of the equipment (over $2000 plus the past due account charges) and I said I wouldn't pay the equipment. The account was sent to another collection agency and now it has been sent to ERC. I sent a request through their website and mail, and I can't seem to get a reply other than they received my dispute I started via Transunion and Equifax. Can anyone help?

Desired outcome: Someone to contact T-Mobile and have the equipment charges dropped from this account and I will pay my bill.

Enhanced Recovery Company [ERC] Debt

I owed the money to AT&T and no one had my new address or what state I now lived in.
I looked at credit karma and seen I owed AT&T and they put me in the credit company with ENHANCED RECOVERY CORP .
I paid them and problem solved.
It is not the collection agency that someone won't pay and they go after you.
It is yours for not paying.
I hold only myself responceable for not paying. Not others cause I did not pay.
Some people on this earth only want a free ride.

I'm glad you had a good experience with this company. I hope you received documentation from them stating that the debt was paid in full. If not, don't be surprised if you get contacted by another debt collector, trying to collect on the same debt, in the future.

I refuse to waste my breath with these i###ts and tell them over and over that the debt is not mine! No mail to confirm it, just their word over the telephone? Yeah right, I wasn't born yesterday!

Enhanced Recovery Company [ERC] phone call harassment

I started phone service with Basic Talk in July 2014. We have been receiving robocalls from a number that caller ID indicates as Enhanced Recovery Company immediately after phone service was connected. There is no answer when we pick up the phone, but we receive these calls almost daily. Our credit is good and there are no outstanding bills for us, so there is no reason for this harassment. I assume a previous user of our phone number may have deserved these calls, but we do not. We would just like the harassment to stop.

Enhanced Recovery Company [ERC] Harassing telephone calls

I receive repeatedly automated messages on my answering machine saying who they are but not stating why they are calling. They do say that it is an attempt to collect a debt, and leave an account number. I have NO outstanding debts with anyone, and should there by one over sighted one, then why do they insist on phoning me and not writing a later to my address. Surely, if they have been hired by a company to collect a debt, they would know my mailing address .

Enhanced Recovery Company [ERC] harassing phone calls to someone that does not live here, and never has!

We added this phone on our cable a couple of years ago, [protected]. Evidently this number belonged to someone else. We have had phone calls the entire time, sometimes two or three times a week. You try and call them to take your number off of their list, and they hang up on you. I have to listen to the entire phone message to even delete it! They keep giving me a reference number of [protected]. If there is someone else I can contact to make these calls cease, I would love to have the number! Please see what you can do about removing our name from their list. I can't pronounce or spell the name they are calling in reference to. Any help would be very much appreciated! Sincerely Sharon Southers

Enhanced Recovery Company [ERC] false info

They have called me numerous times. Sometimes 4 or 5 times a day claiming I owe them money. I have gone on to their website, and used the log in option, but my name doesn't come up. This has gone off during classes, and its getting really annoying and frustrating. If you have any tips, please post them. Who else do I go to with this?

Enhanced Recovery Company [ERC] Scam

Enhanced Recovery Corporation, has never called me, but yesterday I got a letter in the mail saying I owed AT&T money. So I called them and told them I never had AT&T, the man said I obviously did cause there was a bill. Now I asked him for where and when. He said [protected] in an a apartment complex that I had lived in but never at that apartment number. So I told him it was not me, he said that he had my social security number and read mine to to me and my name. He said I just needed to pay the bill cause it would go on my credit, being that I do not have the money I said I could not pay him anything. He argued with me and said he was recording me. So I decided to call the number on this sheet for AT&T they said that I had an account in 2004 and never said anything about me owning a bill. They also could not tell me where the bill was for or for what the service was. They also said their bill was too old to give me a contact number for the bill.

Should I look at this as a scam? Someone stole my Identity? I am not sure what to do.
But the Enhanced Recovery Corporation is rude and if they do not have any information I see it as a scam.
