I have some loan from Emirates bank and i am paying it regularly, i changed my job and got new visa when the new company transfered my salary into account so bank freez my account without informing me, i went to a branch in Alain, they told me to submit Visa stamped page and Salary certificate .. so i went to my branch in Al Ramoul Dubai, when they check the account so at that time it was unhold, so Ali a person in Al Ramoul branch told me that their is no need to submit the documents, so i came back to Alain, after one day they again hold my salary amount, so again i tried to contact Collection department but i cant, so i went to collection department again, their was a guy named Sameer told me that your salary certificate is wrong so i surprises because in Alain branch the concerned people told me its ok, so again i have to come to alain to get the said certificate but my University did not provide me such certificate because they told me same certificate will work, now i dont know what to do ? the only thing i can do now is that i will pay my all loan and will close my account with this bank ...

This is the most worst bank i have ever seen in my entire life..

I had taken an auto loan in June ‘12 to purchase a new car & I had been offered a free Salik card as part of the auto loan offer. I visited at least 6 different branches in Dubai & each time the front desk representative had no clue about where the free salik card was provided & even when I called the customer service, the agent very smartly put me on hold for more than 5 minutes & then conveniently said that their system restarted & so they will log a complaint later on & send me an SMS, for which I haven’t recived yet.

However after multiple visits to many branches & complaints to the sales person who gave me the free salik card voucher, I came to understand that the free salik card is only offered in certain branches in UAE.

Accordingly I visited the Al Barsha branch which was among the list of branches that supposedly was issuing the free salik card, but they informed me that there is no stock & they had no information about the other branches.

The voucher is only AED50 & I have very well spent more than twice the amount on my trips to each branch. Why are such offers put across to customers when the bank does not have the capability to fulfill its promises to their customers. The damage is that the bank has a very dissatisfied customer who is feeling helpless about the customer service & false offerings from a bank that was very highly valued & who has been a customer for the last 7 years.

I would appreciate if you could take necessary steps to rectify this faulty operation, so that other customers do not go through the same experience.

I have been dealing with this bank since 1999. My salaries were always transfered to this bank. I've taken 1 loan for AED 400k and returned it to the last Fils. I took another one AED 250k, and I paid back about 35% of it, then I changed my job and I was surprized that the bank -not only froze my account and suspended my credit cards without any prior notice- but also submitted the guarantee cheque for the whole loan amount (AED 250k) into my account and now it is in Minus. I went to the Galleria Branch where I started my account, they did not help, the CS agent (Nader bin Yousef) told me to go to the Collection Department in Nasir Square. I went to that square -it took me 45 min. heavy rush- and what a mess! Due to Metro works, all parking spaces were demolished. I sent my new employers salary certificate through Mirdif Uptown Branch 3 days ago, still my Savings account is on hold, is in Minus, and no one called. This bank brings disgrace and shame to it's name, sadly said.

Same with me. I am extremely disappointed with their services. I have been paying my loan with them meticulously every month and just like you guys I changed jobs two years ago. They called me two months ago insisting that my salary be transferred to the same account, i asked them if there are any issues with my payments they said that it is perfect, so i told them, then you shouldn't be following up with the people who are paying, they should be calling the deliquent ones instead. I hung up then after two months, my account was frozen.

I am in the process now of clearing this up and trying to finish my loan with them asap. Definitely not recommendable!

I agreed with all of you guys...I suggest to all not to be engaged with Emirates NBD...this is the worst bank in the entire world...

I have a credit card with NBD and the outstanding is less than 4K. I used to pay like 200 a month. A guy called to collect my payment, I told him to wait till the following day as my salary will be transferred to them (it takes ages for us to get the salary). He did not agree. I convinced him since my salary is transferred to Emirates NBD and since they merged, I asked him to deduct automatically. This guy started talking to me like I am thief and used words such as "baba" and "my friend". I told him I am neither your father nor your friend. I am your customer. He shouted and threatened me that he will block my account as he said. So I never cared as how are they gonna block my account if my salary is transferred to them...omg! When I checked my salary...it was negative 8K...with deductions of my salary. Where it went? I checked the mini statement. The guy took the outstanding balance on my credit card. But then where does 8k come from? I checked and nobody can explain to me. I was asked to go to Collection Department, here there and everywhere..OMG! okay..okay...I left things; anyways my card is closed..Then this month I was shocked that my account has negative 13K, then every time I check the amount is always different from one to another. I was so pissed-off! I called the Call Center and asked for the explanation. No one can answer me..They suggested visiting my branch. The same thing, no one knows what seems to be the problem. They asked me to go to Collection Department. This time I insisted that they have to solve it in that branch. I deal with my branch so they should deal with me to...no one else! I stayed for almost an hour and nothing happened. I decided to go to Central Bank. On my way, they told I have 500 dirhams in my account so I should move quick before the bank deducts another whatever deduction...OMG! As if I owe them gratitude...today, I know I still have less than 30 dirhams from the 500 I got. But when I checked again, it is negative 185.

I have a loan with them like you people. It is deducted automatically from my salary, so I do not have problem. But this is how they explained. I have pending payments...see how illiterate they are. I wanted to move out from this bank to another, but since I have a loan..It didn't become easy for me.

This bank promised us top-up loans, deferment payment, overdraft. But since the Global crisis gave them some karma, they people suffered. They cancelled these policies without informing us. Now, how many times my salary increased, but I can not enjoy any of those. Then they told me to wait for the policy changed. I was hopeful, but then the policy is limited to certain companies.

If I could have used any of these policies, I will not be drowning from debts. I could have closed my credit cards. I wish there is something for people like us who suffered a lot because of this Emirates NBD.

Hey you there...the management! Do something! You never help us! You bury us instead!

mate, this emirates nbd is the worst bank in the world, & the people in collection dept are just incompetant to solve any issues.

i have personal loan with the bank which i am paying every month, as i quit my job in 2008 and started my own business, they started calling me in 2010 for bringing one gaurantor who can giv a blank cheque to bank as securty ! huh, do you thing there is any such angel available in Dubai ? we all are expats common!

so now they have got a new technique, and are sending me sms every month that there is some over due amount due to delyed payment, which i always pay on time, as i have all the receipts of payments.

i suggest all you guys n gals in dubai, uae please avoid EmiratesNBD or if possible just boycott this screwed-up bank.

regards

Your not alone my friend, I am also having a worst experience with Emirates Bank, In every month my salary gets delayed for 4-5-6 days. since my company is depositing to HSBC. I wanted to transfer to other bank but i could not because i have still outstanding loan with them. so i have no choice but to be patience. It is very clear that this bank is taking advantage with us, they are rolling-up our money by means of delaying the availability in cash out. by keeping our money for 3 days, how much interest or profit they are getting. Please share your experience also with this Bank.
