I purchased a 1 year old Seal Bi-color male from this cattery over the past week. When I went to meet Jessica in SC and pick him up he was filthy. Apparently she didn't give herself enough time to bathe him. She was delivering a kitten to a woman that day also that appeared to be cleaned up. When we got the cat home, he appeared to be favoring his right paw. Within 24hrs, he wouldn't put any weight on it. I looked at his paw and it was swollen and had blood seeping out of it. It was an obvious infection. I immediately took him to the Animal Urgent Care. His white count was through the roof and he had an extremely high temp. The vet also mentioned that the cat might have an issue w/his heart due to a strange sounding heartbeat. (I pretty much would like to consider this as that he has a lot going on at the time.) I sent Jessica an email after speaking with Stacey who said just send the bills to Jessica and she will be sure to take care of them. I received a very empathetic email from Jessica Perry stating that she should have noticed something was going on with him because when she trimmed his right paw claws on Sat. he bit her and he has never bit her before. Sunday evening I sent her the bills via email. I have left her several messages to give her updates on the cat and also to try to obtain his medical records hoping that there has been no history of any heart issues. I have also sent her several emails asking her to just satisfy the requests so that I can move forward and hopefully enjoy a lengthy time with my new cat. Not to mention, she said that cat is only 1 year but his full coloring is in which typically happens around 2 yrs of age for Ragdolls.

I still have not heard anything back from her. I will give her a period of time and then plan on reporting her to TICA.

I recommend anyone that has a complaint on this cattery to report them or this will continue to happen to others.

Well, glad to see that Jessica finally did the right thing in the end. Hopefully going forward she will understand the importance of communication with her customers. She also included a grooming certificate. So, I will say that after all of this she is reasonable.
Glad everything worked out in the end. If you have a hard time reaching her, she does travel alot even out of state to assist the other locations in delivering kittens. Sounds like patients plays a big part here.

I bought a cat for $600 a week later said I need to pay $600 to rent a cage to ship 95% would be refunded but called freight company only 30% refundable I said for them to pay it. Then they need $550 to be quarantine 14 days for covd 19. I asked for refund they agreed, 1month later no cat no refund. Filed with Attorney General and other departments

I've been trying to figure out what organization to complain to but nowhere on their website do they commit to a location. They say they have multiple locations but do not provide any addresses. I can now understand why they are so vague about where they are located and why they do not post the Dams and Sires of their kittens like every other reputable site. Because they are constantly changing their names so unsuspecting buyers like myself can never find out about all the complaints they've had. I had searched for months and months for a ragdoll and considered myself lucky when I found ragdollkittenscats, not knowing about the multitude of complaints filed against their "real" name. If anyone has advice as to how to prevent this kitten mill from operating, please let me know. It's the animal that suffers in the end.

I only found out that I purchased from Elegant Rags when I got the blue slip. They are doing business under the website ragdollkittenscats.com. I paid a lot of money for my kitten and she has been nothing but problems upon arrival. Not socialized, not weaned properly, not potty trained and infected upon arrival among other genetic issues. Buyer beware! I'm not sure why these people have not been closed down.

I purchased a ragdoll kitten from Jessica in March of 2009 and did not experience any of the problems mentioned above. She spent ample time on the phone with me during my indecisive selection process...never pressuring me whatsoever. My beautiful kitty, Dora, arrived healthy and happy with the cutest personality! Dora grew up sleeping with her best friend, my then one year old boxer, Rose. I awoke many mornings to them curled up together. When I needed a second copy of her shot records some months later, Jessica emailed them to me promptly. -Debra, Arkansas

THIS NUT CASE IS SELLING BREEDING CATS AS WELL AND INFECTING OTHERS HEALTHY BREEDING CATS TO THE POINT THAT THEY LOOK JUST AS BAD AS HER SHE IS MAKING OTHER CATTERIES A PRODUCT OF HER SICK CATTERY AND THESE PEOBLEMS TAKE LOADS OF MONEY TO GET RID AND SOMETIMES IT NEVER GETS UNDER CONTROL AND IF ITS FIP SHE IS KILLING OTHER CATS WITH IN CATTERIES BY SELLING SICK BREEDERS.

Not everyone is posting their problems about Jessica, she lies to other breeders and in general is just a scammer. A couple of breeders wont even sell her cats or kittens because of the conditions...so she has to keep breeding her unhealthy cats
Not everyone gets a contract with their ragdoll and that should be a hint of trouble.
My friend has had so many problems with her ragdoll...viruses beyond belief
Elegant rags is selling other breeders cats and kittens, why would she do that? for MONEY.
Ragdolls are a great breed of cat and it seems like good breeders dont have any available because they have waiting lists. Jessica always has kittens and lots of them, You wont know which cat you are truly getting. My friend said her kitten looked very different from her online photos from when she got it
You get what you pay for

I too purchased a 8 month old cat from Jessica. When I picked him up from the airport, both his eyes with filled with gunk. I immediately took him to my vet. He was diagnosed with feline herpes of the eyes (not curable). The vet also told me that, since my cat had the herpes, most likely all the cats out of that cattery have it. It is highly contagious. I feel, Jessica has misrepresented herself and the quality of these kittens. I would not recommend purchasing a cat or kitten from her.

Animal control needs to be involved in this cattery. The breeder is STILL selling cats that are sick she is not controling the problem she has in her cattery that means she does not care. Any breeder can clean up there act by doing blood work on there breeders to see why the offspring are all getting sick and some dying just days to weeks after they go to homes. Jessica Perry has sold a few FIP infected cats . BREEDERS WILL TRY TO SAY THAT FIP is not dianosable but it is by a vet you do a tilter test for FIP and if its very high and the cat is showing many sighns then it has FIP She also is selling cats with yellow and green eye draunage these cats don;'t die but they will have life long HERPE infections and should not be bred. A friend of mine has a cat that has constant eye [censored] and the cat is not very active either but it does eat and drink and plays very little. DO NOT BE A VICTIM OF ELEGANT RAGDOLLS...I also seen a report on her at [redacted].
