Our family recently visited this cattery in Ottawa. The first thing I noticed was that the house smelt like car urine and it was a new Mattamy Home. When I seen Elegantbengals
Kittens for sale they looked sick and skinny. I asked her if Mom and Dad had been tested she said yes. I then asked to see the test and she ignored my question and quickly changed the subject. I would not buy off Brianna from Elegent Bengals she claims things that are not true. I also noticed while in her home that it was like a frat house with all the rooms rented out to her friends or anyone online with money. It made me very uncomfortable and I think bylaw should be looking into how many cats she has in her house in Kanata. Not to mention all the people in her frat house. It was very unprofessional and dirty. Buyer Beware stay away from Elegant Bengals.

I could not agree more. I recently went to Elegant Bengals Cattery and noticed that an older couple was living in her cattery. I asked Brianna who this was and she said her parents are living on the house with her along with her 4 roommates and all those cats. I feel bad for her cats she has no outdoor run and they just stay cooped up in closets and small areas in her frat house. I would buy a Bengal off someone else.

I am sorry, but this is complete baloney. I have gotten a cat from Brianna, I have seen the cattery. She is extremely professional. If every cat breeder was like Brianna, there would be no strays.

I just bought a kitten from her and I'm very happy with my cat. I asked her to pick the most calm one of the litter and she knows her cats she did, I have the calmest cat not to vocal and EXACTLY the color I was looking for a mini leopard. I personally bought 2 cats back in 1982 when we had lots of backyard breeder no guidlines for breeder and I got BURNT. That's why I went to check it out and the first thing when I walked into the house and I made sure it was the smell. It doesn't smell urine and with the amount of cats she has in the house she should have a strong smell of urine. That was my mistake back in 82 when a bought a Persian cat from the filthiest dirtiest cattery in Montreal North and my friend that came with me that day to pick up the cat wondered for years why I bought a cat from that place, long story short yes the cat had ringworm which gave it to my Burmese and me. It's highly contagieous and I learned from my mistake that day, that's why I checked out the Hennessy's before buying a cat from them. I've been burnt before.

My wife and I visited with Brianna last night at her home/cattery. With respect to the 'individual' who authoured a poorly written, grammatically incorrect and feable attempt at composing a fictiicious/slanderous and unwarranted complaint...I 'fortunately' have bad news for you...you failed. Your words speak for themselves and the actual truth couldnt be more glaring through your plethora of lies. For the record, I am a certified forensic interviewer for court purposes and statement analysis SME who teaches interviewing techniques. In other words...allegedly, I am deemed fairly good at detecting bull poopy. Please allow me to me blunt and get to the point...you lie. This is not a case of, "We agree to disagree.", rather, it is a case of I'm right and you're wrong...THE END. Normally, at this particular juncture, I cap off with, "Regards"; however and in this particular case, I will not. Lastly, don't lie...lying is bad. Elegant Bengals rocks!

This complaint is a load of garbage. This Cattery is the best I've ever seen. All the cats are free to roam the house. In other catteries they lock up the male but not here. He also runs free. He is great with the other cats and his kittens. All the cats are well socialized and handled with extreme care. The owner loves all of her cats and would do anything for them. It's too bad someone would say such garbage. Don't believe it.

The complaint is nothing but a pack of lies. I purchased a kitten from Elegant Bengals and the cats there roam freely through out the house. They are very well socialized and will greet you at the door. The kitten I ended up getting from her, picked me. Out of all the kittens there, this one kitten decided to climb up on my legs, and lay on me.. This isn't a cat that is sick or abused. The male cat roams freely as well, as he has a cat diaper so he can pee all he wants. He also gets along with all the kittens just fine, and is very patience. He has to be, as he goes to lots of Cat Shows and is a Grand Champion. As for the claim of it being dirty ? Not even close to being true. The place is spotless and does not smell at all.

As a veterinary technician with many years in the field as well as a board member on the Canadian Council of Animal Care Technicians I can tell you with certainty that the posters claims couldn't be any farther from the truth. I have seen many animals from backyard breeders and uneducated, underqualified breeders in clinic. The Animals I have seen at Elegant Bengals do not show any signs of neglect or unhealthy breeding practices. In fact, these animals are some of the best socialized and well cared for cats that I have observed. Bengal cats have a reputation for being standoffish and not overly affectionate. The Bengals at this cattery are extremely well socialized, and affectionate. A breeder has many people come into their home to view their animals, dont you think if any of the posters claims about the living conditions of these animals were true there would have been a lot more complaints before now? In my personal and professional opinion you would be hard pressed to find a Bengal breeder in Ottawa who puts more of their love and devoation into breeding healthy well adjusted, well cared for animals that are a spectacular representation of the breed.

It's weird to see the person who wrote the complaint 'SonyaW' replies to 'herself' in a comment as a different person... lol! This person completely discredits them-self. This is obviously slander, in an attempt to ruin the good reputation of Elegant Bengals. I am wondering if we are really even talking about the same cattery! I visited the whole house several times. The cats are living FREE in this BIG and CLEAN house! They do have outdoor enclosures, which you can see right away if you ever did physically visit the property! Their cats are the center of this family, and they are all spoiled rotten! The Kittens are born and raised in their bedroom for heaven sake! So they are extremely well socialized! They even walk their male cat on a harness and leash everyday! They have a family German Shepard dog, that the cats are all Friendly with as well! Check out their Facebook or Instagram account @elegantbengals. All the breeders are healthy and highly socialized! Even their male roams free in the home which is unheard of! I have seen the proper health tests, so this is a blatant lie. The Hennessys are big hearted people, that are completely honest and transparent. I would highly recommend this breeder to anyone! Am an established reputable breeder, and have also attended many of the TICA and CCA cat shows with this family. The judges commend their healthy, well tempered and high quality bengal cats. And they won many awards! So the comment above is simply rubbish. Yes I agree go check it out for yourself...

I have know idea why someone would write such lies about this cattery! I bought a beautiful kitten from her and she loves these kittens like crazy! They follow her everywhere and are all very socialized. Every time I went to her home it was very clean and if anyone ever smelled cat urine well, pee happens! But she always makes sure her home is spotless. If you didn't see the test results well phone her vet! I spoke to her vet and they have nothing but praise for her. She is the sweetest most honest and caring perso I've met in a long time, her cats are well taken car of and have won many championships in cat shows! One more thing, every other cattery I went to the kitten would scury away and hid, Brianna's kittens meet you at the door with her and follow her everywhere! I highly recommend elegant bengals for a socialized, loving healthy kitten. Go and check it out for yourself
