On the evening of 3rd Jan 2009 I flew from Heathrow to Tel Aviv. Securtity was very tight but very dissorganised. I was told that to spead things up for me my hand luggage would be taken away and checked without me. I have never had this before but understand Elal must be trusted. I gave my bag over, recieved half a sticker as proof it was taken and allowed to go through.
I was held back at the boarding desk as my bag hadn't been returned. At the last minute I was told to board and that the bag would be placed in the hold if they couldn't return it to me. I took my seat, still trusting them and was given my bag minutes before take off. All the pockets were open and my brand new mobile phone(£250) was missing. I had given the security man the other half of the sticker when he returned my bag.
Now they are saying they have no record of the bag being taken.This has taken over a month.
I have written, emailed and notified the flight attendent immediately and filled reports both at Tel Aviv and Heathrow. In short done all I was asked to do. These security complanies must have accountability. One of they're members took my bag and removed my phon e and now they say they no nothing about it and will do nothing. I have never felt more violated and furious that customer care has been abbused in this way. I feel like a fool for ever trusting and going along with Elal's poor customer treatment and will never fly them agian and I won't stop with this as it's fundimentaly wrong
