Eglobalwireless.com Stay away anything that says eGloba

I should have done more research on these guys for sure! I am finding this site's ad reviews after having been ripped off by the same people but they are going by a new business name eGlobalEletronics.com! The company logo is the same... the pone number is the same... and yes the bogus offers and unresponsive customer service is the same. We ordered 6 netbooks at Thanksgiving and have yet to hear a word. The credit card showed an instant transaction! Thank goodness we have fraud protection for my stupid mistake!

STAY AWAY FROM anything that says eGlobal! Look at the years this company has been ripping people off...shouldn't they have been stopped by now?

I am putting this on any complaint board I come across. I put it on my facebook notes, filed complaints with both the ftc and bbb. I have contacted my local news. I will not stop until i get a full refund. This company must be ran by total ###*** I recently placed an order online at eGlobalWireless.com for a 7″ Netbook laptop for my 8 year old daughter for Christmas. This ended up costing me $138.85, since I paid an extra $20 for a pink one, an extra $5 for 3-5 day shipping, and $2.90 for expedited processing. I placed this order on 12/11, and checked the status and found that it wasn’t even shipped yet. I have been trying to call this company since 12/14 at their number [protected], and the message says “We are currently experiencing heavy call volumes and all our agents are busy assisting other customers. Please try your call again later” and it hangs up. I even tried their online support, and I just get the message “All operators are currently assisting others. Thanks for your patience. An operator will be with you shortly.” and waited for several hours to talk to someone and still cant get through to anyone. Then I looked up “eGlobalWireless.com complaints” and found out that I am not the only one who got scammed by this company. It really devastated me since I don’t have a lot of money to just go and buy another one. Like most people, I live paycheck to paycheck and just wanted my daughter to have a good Christmas and this company took that from her. I hope this company feels good about ruining my daughters Christmas. I had to sit and explain to her what happened, and I can tell she was disappointed, but she just said “it’s ok mom, don’t be sad about that, don’t worry about getting me anything.” I’m glad she understands that much, and she has never expected the world from me, but I try to do what I cant, and eGlobalWireless.com took that joy from me watching her open that gift.

I have been looking for a basic mini computer which will get me online but is small enough to throw in my purse. Based on customer reviews and product descriptions, I bought a $99.00 7" mini netbook from Eglobalwireless.

Before the computer arrived, Eglobalwireless called me and offered a 2-year warranty for $!4.00. They said the manufacturer doesn't include one. I bought it before I got the computer, then was sent an online receipt. So far that's all the warranty information I have. If I had been offered the warranty after I got the computer, I wouldn't have bought it. The netbook arrived quickly, in good condition. However, it is often painfully slow and it will not download some sites at all. The computer requires a very strong WiFi signal. Still, I figured I got what I paid for, until I tried to use the YouTube player which comes preinstalled.

Each time I tried to play a YouTube video I got a "file not found" error message. I located Eglobalwireless' online tech support system and sent a description of my problem. I received a response suggesting I go to the Microsoft trouble-shooting website to resolve my "outdated browser" problem. Not only did I receive a wrong answer, but the link I was sent referred me to directions which are impossible to understand.

I sent another ticket explaining about the wrong information I got. To date, no reply.

Although the netbook does provide Internet access in some circumstances, it is essentially useless for my needs. I considered returning it but I foolishly didn't read the return policy before purchasing. There is a significant restocking fee and the purchaser pays for return shipping.

I also wrote a customer review on the site. Although I was careful to list both pros and cons, I was surprised to find that my review (which rated my experience a generous "3") was not published on the site. Looking back I realize they publish mostly rave reviews.

The total cost for this "99.00 computer" is now $119.00. (I was surprised that an Internet company which states it is in New York charged a Florida sales tax -now I know they actually are in Florida, not far from where I live.)

Sadly there is very little I can actually do with this netbook, so it will probably gather dust and go in the "lesson learned" file. If I had it to do over again I would spend another $125 and buy a brand-name netbook on sale at a reputable retailer.

Eglobalwireless.com FRAUD! Heres a solution, MAYBE

yeah so if you do a simple google search for eglobalwireless complaints, my story is just like everyone else. I ordered, received nothing 2 weeks later, and had the worst customer service experience, oh yeah, there was none...So anywho...I decided i would share with you all a few things you CAN do if you have fallen victim to these jerks. (I emailed this "erik" and he DID email me back, i told him i wanted 100% of my money or i wasnt going to stop. He said he would reduce the cancellation fee, but i refuse to give him a single DIME...so here is what i would like you all too do.

1. CALL YOU BANK/CREDIT CARD and get your money back.
2. FInd your local Attorney General's Office Website and File a Complaint.
3. Go to fraud.org and email them
4. Google "Internet Crime Complaint" and you will see a site that passes info on the FBI.
5. Contact the Federal Trade Commission. Write to the FTC Consumer Response Center, Washington, DC 20580 or call toll-free 1-877-FTC-HELP [protected]). You can also file electronically, choose the “Consumer Complaint? Report it to the FTC” link at www.ftc.gov.

I figure if we all kick and scream to the right people (not this "erik") we may get results. I also have a few more things in play but i know this "erik" stalks this board to try and redeem himself...I just asked for my money back...lol guess maybe he should have done it.

For anyone who has been scammed and for those of you who almost got electrocuted by this product you received from elglobal wireless...I have some advice, try contacting your local police department to see what advice they have for you about the situation at hand. That is what they are there for. If I received a package like that from walmart with a sparking computer in shoddy packing (when the website did NOT say used computer) I would contact walmart and get my money back. With eglobalwireless, they put a statement on their webpage where you have to pay 25% restocking fee. It is my belief they send out faulty packages to get people to return them, so they get the product back, and the restocking fee!
Please contact authorities, some might be more helpful than you think!
If you get brushed off, stick with the better business bureau (eglobalwireless has an F rating, meaning DONT order there)
and fbi. thanks

lil'Dee...thank you for the advice! I have filed a complaint with my local AG Office so far and am working on the list you provided. I FINALLY got my sons netbook today. This was supposed to be his "Santa" gift. It came in a USPS Priority Mail Tyvek envelope! The box the netbook was in is crushed. There are scratches on the screen and to top it off we can't even turn it on because when I plugged it in to charge the battery, the AC/DC Adapter that came with it starting shooting sparks and a pop sound came from inside I quickly pulled it out of the wall socket and it was HOT! and smells like an electrical fire. Now the AC/DC Adapter rattles when you shake it! I am contacting my bank now because I have been trying to call eglobal only to get the "Im sorry this mailbox is full" *click* I have tried calling even you Mr. Erik and have not recieved a return phone call from last week! Also...Where is my 2 year warranty information?

to all who have been scammed by this company and now have to explain this to their children for them having a crappy christmas (thanks to Erick and his back door scam company) do what i did complain to everyone BBB.com, FBI.gov and comsumer protection agency.org if we all make complaints on these websites something will be done one complaint cant stand alone but with numbers we can make a difference and him stating one minute his company and the next Im only a employee is a bunch of bull also him stating he dosent get complaints well you dont read much than do you also stating your accredited by the BBB is such a lie because when i went on the web site to file my complaint it states in LARGE RED letters this is NOT an accredited company so Mr. Multi Billion Dollar Company (Erick or whatever your name is) if your company makes so much money and you dont have many complaints take care of the ones who are complaining and fix your reputation (if its not already too late for that) and just give what your website promised 100% customer satisfaction, NEW/UNUSED products in the unsealed packaging or return our money in full thats all we ask you already ruined so many childrens christmas'

Eglobalwireless.com Plantronics Voyager Pro

I order a Plantronics Voyager Pro from www.EGlobalWireless.com
DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CROOKS.
Like other complaints (google eglobalwireless complaints), these crooks shipped the headset in a ziploc baggie and the headset doesnt even work.
No paperwork, No instructions and this is the reponse from the company regarding the packaging:

"OEM packaging is not as visually attractive but is far more economical and because OEM packaging uses less paper, plastic, ink and cardboard it creates less waste and is better for the environment. Although OEM packaged product ships in a clear poly bag, a plain white or brown box you can be assured it is the same quality product as the retail packaged version. Buying OEM packaged products saves you money and helps save the planet."
They dont mention that when buying the headset.

I called the customer service line and all of the lines go to a voicemail box except the sales line.
They will take your call if your trying to buy, but they want you to leave a message if you have questions about returning the product.
I asked about their "5 Star Service " and the person named "Mark W" was NOT helpful and rude and told me to leave a message in the other mailboxes. This is a scam company run out of a persons garage (google the return address and see pix of open garage w/boxes of products)

You will spend more time chasing down your money than its worth!
Do not buy from them...Again, please spend your money with more reputable companies and not companies run out of there garage.

Blueant q1 bluetooth headset arrived (also with the 3 components loose in plastic bags--and with only 1 of the 3 earbuds provided in Blueant retail packages and no warranty card or instructions) in thinly padded envelope via USPS and was defective out of the bag. Was told there'd be a 15% restocking fee; then told via e-mail that I was right about their published/website policy and there should be a full refund (so long as the merchandise is returned intact in 30 days); it arrived in Florida in 5 days from receipt. I likely spent 3-4X as much to properly package it and send it Fedex.

The refund was 30% 'light' and there's been no response via e-mail. And the front page of the website says that all products are shipped free; so no shipping/handling clawback is legitimate.

Now I see 'recertified' versions of the same make/model for 50% more than the price I paid. And the lower priced units are still available; what's up with that?

If you go ahead and buy from this """"merchant""" be sure to use a credit card...so you can promptly dispute charges when you find out you've been """"serviced""" by the merchant.

My wife bought me a netbook for Christmas. She bought it on Thanksgiving day and right after I received it I quickly found that it did not work at all like they said it would. We have been trying to get they "Great Customer Service" to allow the return as well as waive the 25% restocking fee. They are not allowing us to return the item even though it does not work at all like they say. In addition to the frusteration of them saying they will not accept the return, Their supposed great customer service phones are not working and the online customer service is down more than it is up and you can rarely get someone and when you do they can not make a decision on their own and told me the phone service has a problem and she would not get me a supervisor on the line. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

I ordered two of the 7" mini laptops back in July 2011. When I received them we had trouble connecting to the internet and they constantly froze up. I contacted the company and they advised me to return the products for replacements. I had to pay shipping costs to return the items plus shipping to have the replacements mailed to me. I get the replacements and have the exact same problem, the laptops run slow, freeze and will not connect to the internet. I contacted the company again and advised that I wanted a refund. I went through the proper steps, paid shipping (again) to return the items and get a refund. I knew there was a 25% restocking fee which I was fine with. However, upon reviewing my account eglobalwireless.com only refunded $139.48. I bought two 7" mini laptops at $99.99 each. I should have received a refund of $149.98. I spent a total of $264.88 originally. They made $125.40 off of me because they have the 25% restocking fee and warranties and shipping will NOT be refunded, and special package offers and telephone promotional items are non-refundable. Honestly, it's a big crock of crap. I completely got ripped off by this company and will NEVER buy anything from them again!

I purchased a mini laptop for $99.99 and also purchased a warantee and when the computer came it had a purple screen. I sent the item back the next day as directed to by "Erik". I never received a replace computer even thought I asked for a new one as I should have gotten since I also purchased the warantee. Erik does not answer the telephone for complaints/returns. You can only talk with him when you are purchasing a product, everything elso is done by email. This company is making their money by scamming the consumer with the so called restocking fees and they had no intention of replacing my computer! Keep your money in your pocket, this company has poor customer service and shamful return practices. I never got a copy of the warantee I purchased either.

I ordered Android 2.2 on November 5th and canceled it before shipping. Took some doing, calls etc. They charged me a 25% cancellation fee. Problem is that they said I paid $99 but in truth my Credit card shows a charge of $116.99. Hard to get their attention and they refuse to consider that they are wrong. I am resorting to stopping charges on my CC now. May end up in small claims court. Stay tuned.

I received the netbook from eglobalwireless 20 days after purchase. I cannot get anyone from the company to assist with the WIFI issue...then I got so fed up that I planned to return the product only to find out that the company charges a 25% restocking fee on returns! This is ridiculous. The netbook is for my son who only wants to play online games with it...does anyone have answers?!

I don't make a habit of cussing. These ### after sending us a netbook that got so hot you could fry eggs on it have the adacity to ask for a 25% restocking fee if we return it. From what I have read, they don't even send refunds. I plan to get the FBI fraud unit etc; after them.
