EDPREPORTING.COM DEBITED MY CHECKING $49.95 ON 7/2/07 WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION. COULD BE LINKED TO A PAYDAY LOAN SERVICE. MY BANK DID A STOP PAYMENT AND RETURNED THE FUNDS TO MY ACCOUNT AND SENT CHECK BACK TO EDP. EDP parent company is EDP Technologies Corporation @ 5301 Laurel Canyon Blvd. Suite 132, Valley Village, CA. 91607. Email was, but my email came back as undeliverable. Calling customer service at [protected] was unsuccessful, other numbers were too; [protected], [protected] and fax [protected] is located at they too are linked to as well as Credit Builder at just look at the bottom of the web page on all of these sites and you will see the link

The check they submitted to our bank was a computer generated one, with the date of 5/29/07 but posted to our account on 7/2/07 we feel that the delay is so you cannot request a refund because the account has been activated more than 30 days. We found their Terms and Conditions page and they state that the $49.95 one time fee is non refundable, and they will start to charge $29.95 monthly service fee's and a one time charge of $20.00 startup fee.

We suggest that you file complaints with your states Attorney Generals office, your states State Banking Commission, and last but not least the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) their wed site is WWW.FTC.GOV, you can file a complaint online.

They suggest that you sue the said company (EDP Technologies Corp) in a class action lawsuit, if won we could receive no more than $500,000.00, if you sue them on an individual basis, the most you could receive is $1,000.00 if they are found guilty of Phishing or gaining access to your personal checking information without your approval, they would also have to pay court costs and your attorneys fees if you win.

    I was horrified this am when I checked to see if my paycheck was in the bank and to my horror there was a deduction on my account for 159.95 from this acclaim visa pre-paid visa card. I have never applied for this service and certainly haven't give them permission to deduct this horrific fee from my account this had put my account in the negative balance and I overdraft fees now tomorrow legitimate charges are scheduled to be paid from my account like phone and water and there are no funds there now to cover them this will also incur more nsf fees.

    EDP took money out of my account and has my account on freeze because I had to have a fraud protection on my account and they put a freeze on my funds and I have a rent check and a car note check that should come out any day now. I totally agree that this company needs to be stopped. I allied for a loan on the internet and that is how they get your account and then they wait a few days and take money. EDP reporting took 49.95 from me.

    I too, about 2 months ago, applied for a payday loan. NOT A PREPAID DEBIT CARD as was told to me when I called EDPreporting. I already have a debit card with my checking account, why would I want a prepaid one, I explained to them. They told me there was no refund and my checking account was debited for $159.95, not once but twice. To this date I haven't received anything, and I'm out $319.90. For what? How do I get my money back? This is disgraceful!!! Something has to be done about this!!!

    Yes They are a ripe off most company's give you 10 days to cancel account they only give 3 and they need to respect Blind people and return their money because we can't read a contract when we mean to hit the no and get hit the yes instead. Thats what happen to me now I am overdrawn because of them and other company's taken money out of my account. And I can't pay my rent. And if I don't get my money back soon i will be out on the street.

    0 Votes took $159.95 from my checking account without my permission on 7-16-07. I will be following up on this with:

    1) My banking institution;

    2) Attorney General Office;

    3) Federal Trade Commission.

    In addition to them taking the $159.95 out of my account, it created an overdraft costing me another $34.00.

    United States

    I just checked my BofA account online and saw that I had a check returned for $49.95 made to the order of EDP Card for the purchase of and "Executive Card". The check says its a "LEGAL COPY of my check" though it has nothing to do with my checkbook. I got the website of the company which is but I don't find anything on this website. After looking at the other complaints, I came to the conclusion that they got my information also while trying to apply for a payday loan online, though my loan was "rejected". Now I have a $35 returned check fee. How could I fix this, who do I complain to? Thanks.

    They did the same thing as the above gentleman darren vannyto me. Somehow they got my checking account and stole 159.95 and sent me a debit card which i already have with my bank, why would i want two. I cannot get in touch with them. The rest of the people that got ripped off better go to there bank and sign a no payment to edp, they will trick you because they also go by elite plus, same address and phone. You have to stop them now or they will charge you another fee for not putting money in there debit account.

    I was trying for a pay day loan. this company got out 159.95 out my acct. I never get an answer when I call all bank let me know about the transaction. I knew nothing. I got a call from someone asking did I put in for a card? which I did but nobody told me anything else. when I said yes he hung up on me.I do not know this company. Why didn't he tell me about a fee? I have been calling for three days and sent about 6 e-mails. No reply. I am very upset with this. my acct was overdrawn and still is because of them.I hope all that are undercover smart get what comes to them for using people in the way they did. If I wanted a card and pay 159.95 why would I let them take money out my acct when I was trying to get a payday loan?
