Edible Arrangements horrible customer service

I thought i'd send a dear friend a mothers day gift and decided edible arrangements sounded good. i tried some chocolate covered bannanas and was impressed. however the branch i purchased my order from was friendly and told me they could have some delivered to an address in arizona. so i got a call l8ter that day informed that avandale dysert store did not deliver the arrangement and that i should call the other store to talk to them about they're mistake. i'll admit it was the cheapest thing i could find but i wasn't expecting them to be so expensive in the first place, to be charged a $12 delivery fee on 6 chocolate covered bannas that was $15 dollar box was ludacris, the fee for delivery fee was plenty of money almost more then the box. i could get sees candy to deliver a nice box of chocolates well over a dozen for less then $25. neway i called her with the intention of buying a slightly bigger arrangment for a reasonable price, but the manager was very arrogant defensive and condecendingly went into how I ordered something they do not deliver (well duh)and i have to arrange something else with the other store. she didn't have to tell me that with that snoby tone so i hung up on her seeing as how i could deal with the genessee rather then her poor customer service skills. she then had the oddacity to call me back and say i was just calling to find out if you meant to hang up on me cause i was just telling you what you and thier store did nothing wrong in so many patronizing words or less. so i hung up again to avoid calling this woman derogatory names as she was beggining to harrass me now clearly instigating a fight. She then called back again and left a message informing me that she is going to block any arrangements as best as she can from the company and her store will never deliver to that address i provided ever. HOW OBSURED! what if someone else wants to send them a gift besides me! this woman is clearly vindictive rude and worthy of the name calling that came to mind. the Genesse store in san diego will get back to me tomorrow about refund or getting another store to deliver to my dear friends at another address instead. that manager thinks she so smart trying to "block" gifts sent to that address however she isn't the god she thinks she is my friend does does work at another address. this is a conflicting issue with me as i have half a mind to boycott this company completely if it weren't for the great service i recieved at the genesse location in sd cal. i know it's just some locations, however it can be frustrating enough to forget the whole thing.

It's not surprising that someone with such poor command of spelling and language skills would not be able to clearly communicate with professionals. What is surprising is that they would waste good money on luxuries rather than funding for a junior-high school diploma.

Edible Arrangements poor service - unauthorized charges

I do NOT reccomend this store. I have ordered twice from them and both times there was a problem. The management is unwilling to address any issues. My first order was missing items. Not a big deal as it was only a balloon at the cost of $3.50. I contacted the store throught the website. No one bothered to even respond. I guess they were really heart up for my extra three dollars. The second order involved an erroneous charge to my credit card for over $300. The emplyee said only the manager was authorized to credit the charge. Several calls to the store and the manager was never avaialble. Come to find out that she was out for an extended period of time with no projected date of return. I was told there was nothing anyone else could do about the charge. Additionally, the people I did get to speak to were rude.

Edible Arrangements coupon scam

I used an on-line coupon for a $5 discount off of my order and it was applied to my order. I received a receipt via email with the discount showing. When I received my bank statement a few weeks later, the $5 discount was not applied and I was charged the higher amount.

I called the store and was told that the coupon was NOT valid in Colorado, however, the coupon itself did not indicate this nor did I receive an email or phone indicating that the coupon was not valid prior to the amount being charged to my card. The store refused to honor the discount at all even though they charged me $12 to deliver a $25 item three miles away.

It is hard to believe they can stay in business with such poor customer service and lack of empathy when dealing with questions and concerns from customers. Not too mention the outrageous delivery fee. I will not give Edible Arrangements anymore of my business and will do what I am able to sway everyone else I interact with to have flowers delivered instead.

Edible Arrangements horrible customer service - they ruin surprises

These people are ###s. I have never in my life had a delivery service call to tell me they are coming with a "surprise" for me...much less tell me I have to be available at THEIR convenience. My step-daughter in Hawaii was going to surprise me with a basket here in Florida for my birthday, and told them when she placed her order that no one would be home until after 4 p.m. It is at that point -- even via e-mail -- these irresponsible jerks should have told her they could not promise a delivery time. She would have then gone elsewhere and ordered something else.
What do they do insead? They call me and leave a msg on my home voicemail, which I just happened to check at lunch time. They tell me who they are and WHAT they are delivering to me, and that it's for my birthday (surprise!), AND who it is from. Then they tell me they can't deliver at 4 or after...oh, my, and this is fresh fruit...what to do..what to do.
What jerks. I will NEVER order anything from them, and I will NEVER recommend them to anyone.
They tried to blame the whole fiasco on my step-daughter. Great customer service. Edible Arguments might be eating their own words in this economy. They'll probably go belly up because people don't need to spend their hard earned cash on crappy service like this. The birthday gift became about hiding from my step-daughter what happened; otherwise she would have justifiably blown a gasket.

What's wrong with calling to make sure you were going to be home for the delivery item? Cant satisfy people these days.

Ummm... yeah, the delivery driver has to confirm that you are going to be at the destination they are going to. If you are not there that is a wasted trip for them and also you would have to pay for another delivery charge if you were not there so they actually did you a favor... people are so stupid... ( that would be you dummy)

This place is really bad. My fiance called to find out why I received a white bear instead of the nice brown bear that he had ordered and why they included the price sheet of the order that he placed. I shouldn't see what he paid for the item! You don't solicit that way. The woman had a horrible disrespectful attitude and said it was a $20 bear and they ran out of the brown bear. It came in a crumpled up bag and they didn't even complete the card that came with this crappy bear. It looks like a bear from a claw vending machine. It was really bad. He paid $75 for 12 chocolate strawberries and 1 bear. That is a rip off! The strawberries were great. But this woman was horrible. My fiance is very nice and shy, so he decided to email corporate because this girl was so bad to talk to. The email to the corporate office went to Crystal Lake. The woman called my boyfriend, left him a 2 minute and 40 second voicemail. I wish I could post that on here. It's unbelieveable. Poor, unprofessional attitude. She said she doesn't know what he is complaining about, you can call the manager but she is not going to refund your money, the white bear is nicer.., etc. 2 minutes and 40 seconds! She didn't even speak proper English. It would have been nice for them to call my fiance and tell him of the change, NOT just change the order. The white bear is cheap and very very ugly! In addition, my fiance got this email after the voicemail: I'M VERY SORRY IF YOU FELT THAT THE CSR PERSON WAS RUDE. EVERYONE ONE'S ORDER HAD A PHAMPHLET ON IT BECAUSE IT HAS A COUPON ON IT FOR PEOPLE TO USE ON THEIR NEXT ORDER UNTIL FEB. 29, 2012. WE DID NOT HAVE ANYMORE MORE DAISY BEARS SO WHEN SENT A BEAR WITH VALENTINE'S DECORATIONS INSTEAD. THE COST OF THAT BEAR IS $20.00. YOU PAID $12.00. I'M SORRY BUT WE CAN NOT GIVE YOU A REFUND FOR YOUR WHOLE ORDER. WE CAN REFUND YOU FOR THE BEAR ONLY, WHICH IS $12.00. THANK YOU! PLEASE CALL THE STORE SO WE CAN REFUND YOU YOUR $12.00. [protected]. We have you on voicemail and email to post everywhere!

Edible Arrangements terrible service

My mother got me an edible arrangement for my 26th birthday. I was wicked excited when she told me. Well we went to bingo that night and when we got back it turned out the guy tried to deliver it to our house and we were not there. That was ok, because they said they would come the next day. Around noon the next day she called and asked them when it would be here and they said it is being put on the truck now and will be there soon.

3 hours went by I called and asked and they said it is still on the truck. Then another 2 hours later we called again and it was still on the truck. It was wicked hot that day and I was getting mad. They kept telling us it was on it's way but it wasn't. My mom said I paid a lot of money for that to be delivered not to be riding around in a truck all day. The lady said mam the truck is refrigerated. My mother said I don't care it was still on there all day and my daughter has been waiting and it's not right.

Finally at 4pm the driver called and said he would be there in an hour cause he got lost. How could we have gotten lost when we live within a 30minute walking distance from them and a 5 minute drive from them. We finally got the arrangement an hour later and immediately called the company to complain.

What made us mad was they kept telling us it was on it's way when it wasn't. Not worth the hassle.

Maybe you should be home on the day that the delivery was scheduled. If you were expecting something from UPS and it had to have a signature, you'd wait on it and there is NO ONE that can tell you when it will get there. 4pm is not bad.

Edible Arrangements poor quality fruit!

Buyer beware! I received a fruit arrangement and the majority of the fruit was not ripe. The honeydew and cantelope were visibly not ripe. When you tried to eat them, they were as hard as a rock. The cutout pineapple flowers were very pretty but were brown around the edges. The only fruit that we were able to eat were the strawberries and the grapes. Needless to say, it was a very expensive arrangements for two spears of grapes and six strawberries.

I received the arrangement on a sunday and I had a very busy few days at work. On friday I called the local franchise that made and delivered it to me. I had to call the store 2x before the owner finally called me back.In a nutshell he told me that, "he owns his own business and he makes time to take care of his problems, because I didn't call earlier, he would do nothing for me. " I couldn't believe how obnoxious and rude he was to me. I reminded him that I was a repeat customer and I feel that he should do something for me. He restated no and that was that!

The owners name is michael and I would stay far far away from this franchise. He does not appreciate his customers and he does not stand behind his product!

Buyer beware!

I agree with Elise! Every business makes mistakes from time to time, the important thing is how the business handles it. I have gotten items from Edible Arrangements several times. 99% of the time, everything is perfect, but if there is an issue they do fix it for you. I have dealt with mostly the Orange County NY locations and they have been nothing but great. If the stores in other locations are bad, then it is because the owner or manager doesn't care enough. You can't generalize all stores because of bad experiences with the one near you.

I'm sorry to hear the one in New York is no good. We have two in Huntsville, Alabama and they are great! I have gotten this for many occasions from funeral dinners to wedding receptions and even once for a church dinner and all of them were wonderful. You should report the owner to the company because this will give them a black eye!

I don't think the people posting complaints about E.A. are trying to defame all the stores. I do think E.A. is doing that all by themselves
For instance I live in Mass. I ordered 2 arraignments the one in Plymouth was awesome fresh ripe sweet fruit! The one that came out of taunton MA. was hard not ripened, no sweetness whatsoever!? So the Taunton branch is bringing down all E.A.'s in Mass in my book...
And from reading all these complaints it looks like it's happening all over the country!

-If a company decides to franchise out their concept, then they should make sure every store runs consistently like clock-work.

Was the item delivered two days later than it was originally set or could they not deliver until two days later than you would have liked? I've stumbled on this site by accident and although some of these complaints are valid (which you will find with each and EVERY business on the planet) some are just people babbling about silly stuff to defame all EA stores over a complaint from their local store.

I've done business with EA for years and with the nature of their business, they handle things remarkably well with some of the unreasonable things that even I sometimes ask for. They atleast try to take care of those things too. But if they couldn't, I would understand.

Edible Arrangements edible fruit baskets!

I ordered a basket for my husband to be delivered on friday feb 15. They never delivered the basket. When I called to inquire the store operator apologized, but stated she could not deliver until monday and refused to give a delivery time. This would be fine if I was notified the delivery would not be made, but I was not. I had to find out where the $70 arrangement was. My husband was disappointed I did not give him a gift of feb. 14. I assured him the gift was on its way and would arrive on friday feb. 15. Now I have nothing to show for my $70 and I have to explain where the gift is. So much for the surprise. I will have to explain what happened. A romantic gesture has turned into a customer service nightmare! Save your money, buy flowers!

well if the order was a flex order then i understand why the order wasn't delivered on the 14th. Other then that i do agree its poor management. The product is much more difficult to make then flowers and i've ordered flowers and have had the same problem with in the past and delivery issues.

Edible Arrangements - poor customer service!

The product is very cute but the customer service at the franchisees (At least at far hills, nj) and at the corporate office have had us tell them not to deliver to us! A friend wanted to send us one of their baskets of fruit to thank me for helping them with some pc problems (I know how to fix pcs... If you can't tell, I can't make nice looking websites!...
