eBay - ebay goes back on their word and steals $334.99!

Will not honor a promised refund on a buyer protection case because the paperwork took to long to come in.
I had sold a Samsung Galaxy SIII to Crypz0r. He claimed that the phone was broken as a cause of the charger I had sent him. Upon receiving the item and further investigation it appeared that Chris Rogers (Crypz0r) had attempted to alter the phone operating system corrupting/damaging the phone.

I articulated this to eBay and was told to file and submit a police report and I would be given a full refund and win the Buyer Protection Case. I filed and submitted the police report but eBay told me to get the comprehensive/extended police report and submit it. I mailed Austin Central Records to get a copy of the confidential extended police report. They took longer than expected to send me a copy so when I submitted it to eBay they said that since it was past the 10 days to submit the paperwork they were not going to give me a refund.

Now Chris Rogers has just got away with fraud and eBay is protecting him. eBay is not honoring their original promise to issue me a full refund after I provide the police report. I lost $334.99 that eBay took from me and gave it to Chris Rogers even after completing and sending in the police report as requested.

I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and received a generic answer from Ben Park at the Office of the President. He quoted paragraphs from their terms of service that claims I am not eligible because they can do whatever they want. He quoted the following paragraph:

Per our User Agreement:

"buyers and sellers permit us to make a final decision, in our sole discretion, on any claim that a buyer files with eBay under the eBay Buyer Protection Policy."

You are NOT safe selling on eBay! AVOID eBay!

eBay - buyer support is a joke!

I purchased a book on half.com using the ISBN (International Standard Book Number) identifying the HARDBACK edition of a book. The Seller, notjust4girlz, listed her SOFTCOVER book under the wrong ISBN even though half.com also offers the softcover edition under its own ISBN. She obviously did this to trick an unsuspecting buyer into purchasing the WRONG book! When I complained to notjust4girlz, she insulted me and then left FALSE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK, which is against half.com/eBay policies. When I requested half.com to remove the negative feedback, they did NOTHING! Following is my email to half.com:

"False Positive Feedback"
I am requesting that you require, notjust4girlz, who listed her book under the WRONG ISBN to trick a buyer (i.e. me) into purchasing a book I didn't want, to REMOVE her negative feedback. (SEE BELOW) By allowing it to stand, you support notjust4girlz in her INSULT, which degrades me, even though this feedback is against eBay/half.com policy, i.e. " We don't allow Feedback comments that contain:...Negative statements left for a buyer that conflict with the positive rating.

I can totally relate! Tonight I called Half.com's customer service, to have a FALSE feedback comment removed, and they flat out told me that the F.C.C. does not allow them to do that! I then told them that their OWN policy states that they will remove certain feedback!
But they still told me that they cannot remove it, and further stated that the feedback comment that the seller left was "mild"...I was so pissed off that this guy was minimizing this...I told him that my reputation is on the line, and that is a big deal to me!

I felt disrespected...So I told the rep that Half.com will lose my business and then hung up on him.

HALF.COM = UNPROFESSIONAL

eBay - unfair to sellers

I sold an item on ebay in September of 2010. Nearly 3 months latter, Dec 4, 2010 customer complained of defect. I inform customer that item is still under factory warranty and I agreed to issue refund upon return of item or have factory repair item, his choice. Customer claims to have mailed item to address in Beverly Hills. I have never had an address in Beverly Hills. Customer claims item is lost in mail. Customer complains to Ebay. On Jan 15, 2011, Ebay resolution center orders that I issued refund upon return of item. Same as I offered originally. Same day Customer claims to mail item. Impossibility since Customer already had claimed the item was lost in the mail. Upon receipt of box I find 3 old video games. I immediate call Ebay customer support and inform them of this and that the item was not returned. Customer support claims that they can do nothing until after Ebay issues refund. Tell me to wait and file appeal.
On April 29, 2011 Ebay issues refund to customer and claims that I owe them reimbursement.
I file appeal on the same day.
Ebay currently shows "Appeal under review. Unfortunately, we need a little more time to make a decision. Expect an email from us soon."
Only emails I have received are bills for refund and now notice my account is on hold.
Even in criminal law, action is normally stayed pending appeal.
Ebay should do the same.

eBay - over charge for fees

In summer of 2006, Ebayon several occasions offered a dime insertion fee for all ebay store owner and I did a whole of of auctions Instead of seeing a bill for that month for approx $500 I as charged for over $800. It took me so many emails conversing with over 8 Ebay representatives before one found out what happen. I am an ebay store owner for a long time, but since I was suspended before that the invoice was generated, the computer programs was not smart enough to know that, therefore no discount was given to me. This assoicate fixed the problem and credited me the money. I let the money sat there in the account for over 5 or 6 months, then I decided to ask them to mail me the amount. I used some of the refund toward or auctions, so the remaining balance was only like $233. Was I shocked what happen follows. Instead of refunding me the $233 they owe me, Ebay send me a bill for $over $700. They said that the whole refund to me was a mistake and they had the credit agency harrassing me for over a year. About 4 months ago, Ebay start sending me monthly invoices again which is weird cuz I haven't been selling anyting since that dispute. NOw the balance that I owe them is zero, but they have not remove the dent they put onto my credit report! They owe me money. I still have those dates of when they did the dime insertion fee for ebay store owners. I cannot get them to fix their error. It is horrible.
They stole my money.

Ebay continues to allow Trademark Infrigement or counterfeit items to be sold on it's website. Ebay
ignores people reporting to them of sellers that already signed agreements not to sell Trademark infrigement/counterfeit items. Ebay continue to let those seller who are gold members and above to do it due to monetary gain for Ebay Inc. Please stop buying from ebay because they are supporting crimminal activities.

eBay - ebay buyers never pay now

I have been selling and buying on Ebay for about 9 years now. As you probably know Ebay & PayPay are almost one and the same, and both have changed their policies to where the buyers can really screw over the sellers. You cannot give any type of negative feedback to BUYERS on Ebay, the only thing you can do is check the GREEN DOT and leave commits. I suggest you leave true commits for the DEAD beats. I now read the commits because Sellers are starting to leave the real feedback there!
Anyway, I recently ended a series of auctions on Ebay a couple of week back.
50% of the BUYERS Did not pay. That's right 50%. No, I did not ship! I had to contact the buyers as per Ebay policies, I had to wait and wait before I could file a dispute, then I had to wait some more. The we have to wait to get our listing fees and final auction fees back, and plead with Ebay to return them. Yes Ebay charges you the Fee's and the 8.75% selling fee's even though the BUYER hasn't paid YET!
The Ebay Buyers are even so brazen that they will Email you saying they are not going to pay, and Ebay will Do NOTHING. Ebay does NOT CARE IN THE LEAST! I have copies of the Emails and phone conversations to prove it!
I honestly believe these Ebay Buyers are are disgruntled Sellers who are creating new Ebay ID's to get back at ebay!
So, Sellers on Ebay beware!
P.S. I hope someone will come up with a alternative to Ebay & PayPal very Soon.

There are many long-time eBayers who are very disgruntled with GreedBay. The changes over the past few years have made the auction site a miserable experience. And, yes, they've become a business who does not care about any of its customers - just keep the cash flowing in their direction and 'all is as it should be' as far as FeeBay is concerned. Believe me, they do not care about the buyers OR the sellers.

I started selling on flEbay in 2003, but after 2 years of getting pushed and shoved around by it and the customers, I dropped them. Ebay is nothing but a money hungry conglomerate who could care less about the sellers, and only care about the buyers because they are helping the flow of money. If your item sells, Ebay gets a cut. Hell, even if it doesn't...

eBay - gestapo operation of 21st century

Last Friday, our listings were removed under the pretext that our account was under performing and that our customer service feedback was below ebay Standards. Since then, we have tried to reach out to you via you 866 number, email chats and email. Nobody in your establishment is able to tell us exactly what went wrong and what we did to cause you to abruptly remove all our listings without notice. Our recent records showed that we had over 99% Positive feedback, we received great reviews and the only disputes we had open were from non paying bidders. We strive for excellence and work with all clients to resolve any unforeseen issues.

For years, we have been a loyal client of Ebay and built our enterprise around ebay store and one of the main venues to build sales and get global product exposure. Today, I have to admit that I am very disappointed in the run around we have received and the difficulty we have experienced to talk to your Trust and safety representative. I am left with the feeling that Ebay does not care about its sellers that generate most of its revenue and that its actions resembles a gestapo operation for lack of better word.

A quick search on Google will show that you have a growing generation of irate clients that you have been mistreated and that they are expressing their disappointment in Ebay via all available means online. This is clearly the WRONG way to do business and not very promising of bright future for Ebay.

I have pleaded and begged for a call back to resolve our situation and determine what caused you to act in this manner and you have refused to return or answer my calls. Your lack of action and Wellingness to address my concern will leave me no other choice but to seek justice outside the Ebay system and take my business somewhere else.

Ebay is going under, and fast. Their last ditch effort is to eliminate all austion formats and copy Amazon.com by making you list everything at a set price. If this does not work, they are finished. Their stock is plummeting, and is not because of the economy. They keep changing their policies and now have a new scam/monopoly in which they force new sellers to use payal to accept payments otherwise they are banned. Stay away, and go to Amazon.
