EasyCare Rental Car Reimbursement

Good Afternoon,

I am writing you to ask about a claim. I have been trying to get reimbursed for the last 6 months for a car rental. Initially, there was a problem with reading the document but after I sent a darker copy of the document, I never received the check even though the customer service representatives said it was mailed. I have emailed several times with zero responses to my email. Customers need simple solutions. Today I was on the telephone with EasyCare for 1 hour and 4 minutes No one could explain why I have not received my check until I spoke to a supervisor, who verified my address and discovered the zip code was wrong. During this time my policy expired. Each time I was called to renew it. I asked for my rental reimbursement first. Now six months later I still have not received my money and my contract expired 6/15/2023.

Desired outcome: I would like my contract renewed with a discount for compensation.

EasyCare Pineville jeep dealer nc-total care warranty package - auto stop/start unavailable warning

I am having issues with Auto stop/start unavailable warning light - the warning light goes from stop/start not ready to stop/start unavailable. Took in last week to have serviced, received it back with the battery compartment under passenger side not covered. After driving the required 50 miles, still having the issues.

I want to take it back in to have serviced, but cannot be without transportation, Total care is to cover (up to $40 a day) for a substitute vehicle while car is being serviced, however, I am told that is not the case, because the manufacture warranty hasn't expired.

When I bought my Jeep in 2021, I was told the Total Care Warranty was in effect from day 1 and to cover what the Manufacture warranty didn't cover-hence the name Total Care.

Anyone else have this issue?

Desired outcome: Not resolved until Auto/Stop/Start is fixed and I have transportation while it is being serviced.

This insurance is a piece of crap. They could care less you are swimming in [censored] or in the middle of hurricane. If you have to wait til the build the facility back to take it in or wait on a certified repair person for a month that is what you have to do. Don’t waste your money. I am contacting the dealer to get my money re-embursed. Easy Care is a scam in an emergency situation.

Desired outcome: Pay for the part. I have been in a hurricane and cannot get anyone with Easy Care to help at all.

EasyCare Totalcare "towable/box" service contract

The fresh water tank had a screw driven through it for a bracket to hold a gas line. This was all done at manufacturing time.

Even the FACT that my contract specifically says that they will cover this work, the Easy Care contract will not cover this fix.

The fact we have owned the trailer for over 2 years somehow absolves the manufacturer from any liability. FOREST RIVER APEX 215RBK put the gas line bracket in with a screw driven through the water tank. It took 2 years for it to wiggle free to create a slow leak.

DO NOT GET THIS WARRENTEE and DO NOT BUY A NEW FOREST RIVER TRAILER.

What A JOKE!

Desired outcome: Either replace or patch the water tank and relocate the bracket holding the gas line.

EasyCare Easy Care Silver Coverage

My car broke down on the side of the highway at 2am- called Easy Care for emergency road side assistance and waited to speak to someone for 10 minutes only to be spontaneously disconnected by their system. Then called back for the same again!

I find them totally inept and just plain unavailable to provide the service I pay them for- when in the greatest place of need and vulnerability. I’m canceling my contract and filing every complaint I can.

Desired outcome: Actual service and some reparations or compensations for totally dropping the ball and being part of a great trauma.

EasyCare Easy care warranty

Absolutely disgusted by this company. How they sleep at night is beyond me. My husband’s transmission went out on his 2018 truck. There is a problem with a part in these new transmissions and it is well known. Should be covered by this warranty. Since his tires are not factory tires they will not pay. His tires are not big and even the transmission place that repaired the transmission said it had nothing to do with tire size. Easy care knows this, but is evil and refused to pay. You should be so ashamed. We will never purchase another warranty again. This is a complete money making scam. So disappointed. How car dealerships even work with you is beyond me.

Desired outcome: Wish they would do the right thing and pay.

EasyCare Extened Warrany RV Fifth wheel

We have extended warranty on a fifth wheel rv and had metal in the hydraulic pump but easy care wanted proof that there was metal in the pump so we authorized 3 hours of labor to prove that there was metal in the hydraulic system and they did find it so the jacks operate with the hydraulic system they need to be replaced and they don't want to pay for the replacement. Were afraid that we will be in the RV and the jacks will fall with us in the RV.

Desired outcome: for them to pay for the jacks to be replaced.

EasyCare recreational vehicle service contract

I purchased a four year extended warranty and less than a year after purchasing, I tried to file a claim on a suspension problem with my trailer. This is something the dealer should have found during his certified inspection of the trailer since it existed at the time I purchased it. Easy Care did an inspection and afterward I had to call the to find out they had denied it. They told me they considered it to be part of the frame and the frame is not covered, even though they admitted it was the suspension that did the damage to the framed. I also had a landing gear failure and I can only guess on why they denide that claim because it's attaches to the frame. So they are looking for any excuse they can to not pay on a claim. So it seams to be a cash cow for them and a BIG waste of money for anyone the purchases it in good faith.

EasyCare gap protection

Bought a car from Sheehy Hyundai in Waldorf Maryland. They offered Easy care gap protection / APCO ( automobile protection corporation) on my 2018 sonata. My vehicle was totaled. Leaving a balance of over $2500.00. Easy care wanted a copy of the form that said I bought the protection. Bank statement if making payments. Copy of what the insurance company was responsible for. After sending the documents. They still delayed 4 months to deny claim. This company is scamming people letting them think they have protection on there vehicle and not paying the claim. Not only that, we should be asking is the dealership in on the scam. They are selling the policy.

EasyCare Mazda 3

I purchased my Mazda 3 from Mazda In Roseville, California. I was reluctant to get a extended warranty but the salesperson talked me into it. He stated that my car would be covered for 5 years and the coverage was total. Four years later, I took my car in for service because my headlight was not working and after extensive examination which took all day, I was told it had a short and my coverage had to be approved. It took a week for someone from the extended warranty company to go over there and check it out. They then disapproved it because a seal leaked and guess what they don't cover seals. I feel like I was taken advantage of when they assured everything was covered under the warranty unless I had an accident or damaged it myself. When I called to complain, they were rude and unmoving. So basically, I have been without a car for a week and I'm stuck with a bill costing almost $2000 for a car I brought brand new and have only had 4 years.

EasyCare Contract for bmw x5

I purchased an easycare contract/warranty from Audi Central in Houston Tx when I purchased this car. WHAT A MISTAKE .. like other complaints state I was PUSHED to sign . The dealership is disgusting .. they have a commercial running that talks about what a GREAT dealership they are .. well NO they are not. Once you start digging on social media you will find all kinds of issues with them. Their used car manager is a poster child of what you do not want to experience at a dealership. Easycare clearly lists that is pays for electrical/cooling systems/transmission/oil leaks/gaskets .. and so forth. WELL NO they pay for NOTHING! .. they legalize in their contract is DECPETIVE TRADE and a SCAM. Audi Central is responsible for sellling this and the mark up is substantial. BAD BAD BAD NEWS consumers .. stay away. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM AUDI CENTRAL .. and DO NOT BUY AN EASY CARE contract. I am reporting this company to the attorney general in Texas and I will write the Governor about this practice too. I am also contacting a lawyer. Audi Central has run me around for 10 months attempting to rectify this situation. Chris Hall the sales person actually sent me an email with the message "not my problem.. but you bought a warranty" . I wrote a letter to Danny Posey the GM of Audi Central who sent me an email within 48 hours promising to call me the next day. Well this is the next day and no phone call from him. PLEASE contact me if you have more information or an unhappy Audit Central customer. The BBB has a number of complaints about easycare and Audi Central. I have contacted Audi corporate for the USA which allows dealerships to sell cars .. and I will also contact BMW because they should be ashamed of producing a vehicle like this. I have driven BMW and other German cars since the 1970's and NEVER had such an experience as this hunk of beautiful JUNK .. do not buy BMW either. I had a Mercedes previously from Mercedes North Houston with a service contact named Taylor .. NOW they did me right in a horrible situation. The Mercedes was a nightmare requiring 2 transmission/power module/alternator to start the list of the time I owned it. They did what they said they would with a smile. Give Taylor some business. STAY AWAY FROM AUDI CENTRAL .. they are part of the VW network and we know how much VW lies .. Easycare .. you are a SCAM .. you lie and you should be OUT OF BUSINESS .. and I am going to work on that .. I will also be writing your home office and your State attorney general .. because maybe they let you practice DECPTIVE TRADE there .. but not in Texas . Easycare is a decpetive trade scam. STAY AWAY

EasyCare Non - compliant

I purchased a 2012 Audi A3 with 45k miles on it in 2013. It now has 60k miles and a coolant leak. The Audi dealer has found that is a broken part inside of the engine. EasyCare is saying this isn't a "mechanical breakdown" per the contract. First, if a broken part inside the engine isn't a mechanical problem, what is? Second, how come EasyCare is both the accuse and judge? What about Audi dealer saying it is a mechanical problem?

Easycare is deceptive trade and Audi Central in Houston Tx sold me a policy with full knowledge this was NOT an "extended warranty" but a "maintenance agreement" with legalize that can be construed to be "exclusionary" at the whim of Easycare. I had a headlight ballast fail which is the computer part that loads up the headlights on the car so the car will have headlights .. not a lamp/bulb. Easycare refused to pay. I had the radiator resourvier fail .. Easycare said NOT OUR PROBLEM. This is a deceptive trade and a scam. I have written the Attorney General for the State of Texas and report Easycare and Audi. Audi Central in Houston professes to be t his this highly rated auto dealership. Well it is not .. it just another car dealership out to RIP OFF the general public. They lied about just about everything.

Easy care is a SCAM. They mispresent themselves and then charge HUGE cancellation fees if they have your money. They pay for NOTHING .. and I mean NOTHING. I am reporting this to Audi "corporate" which is the group that heads up the dealerships in America and I am also contacting BMW as they should be ashamed of putting a product like what I bought on the road. I have driven BMW's since the 1970's and never seen such a mess of a car as this used X5 I purchased. with only 39K on it.

STAY AWAY FROM EASYCARE .. they are an amoral company.

I bought an easy care "maintenance" agreement from Audi Central Houston TX .. what a nightmare .. Easycare is a SCAM and is practicing DECEPTIVE TRADE. Audi participated in this scam. It has been a NIGHTMARE .. I bought a used car and in the first 6 months had the headlight ballast go out .. Easycare REFUSED TO PAY .. saying they don't cover headlights .. this is not a lamp/bulb this is a COMPUTER PART that loads up all the information to burn the headlights on the car $775.00 .. then the raditor resourvier failed .. EASYCARE will not pay .. I have contacted Audit Central and received an email from Danny Posey the the GM .. who said he would be calling me .. but I haven't heard from him. This is intential misrepresentation by Easycare and Audi. I am also contacting Audi "corporate" which control who sells Audi's in the USA .. I beleve the person I need is Pete Hamilton.

Buying a car is a miserable experience anyway .. they ALL DEALERSHIPS are horrible. Some are LESS horrible .. but most dealerships are out to get your money and then act apathetic. Cars are so expensive today that is just not acceptable.

EASYCARE .. please write the State where they are based .. I think it's Georgia .. and write your attorney general referencing deceptive trade.

EasyCare Tire warranty

My wife leased a new car and, because it had expensive run flat tires which tend to damage easily in our potholed environment, we purchased an $850 tire/rim warranty from the dealer which was issued by Easy Care. We specifically told the dealer's finance person what we were looking to cover, damage to the tires or rims from road hazards, such as pot holes. At about 1, 500 miles, my wife hit a pot hole and the tire developed a 4" by 2" by 1" bulge in the sidewall. It was clearly not safe to drive. I called Easy Care claims and was told that although the tire was damaged and was unsafe (a fact they acknowledged) they wouldn't pay because buried in the small print, which no one reads, is a requirement that says that no matter how badly the tire is damaged, if it is still holding air, they won't pay. I note that this little gem appears on the second page of a three page policy. Strangely, or perhaps not so strangely, the first and third pages are printed in black ink and the second page, on which this limitation appears, is printed in light gray ink, almost as if they didn't want you to read it. I am canceling the policy and should get my money back from the dealership which, by the way, bo longer sells this policy only 3 months after we bought it.

EasyCare NEVER COVER ANYTHING INSURANCE

Easy Care always sends out an adjuster to argue with the Dealerships to get your claim down below the $250 deductible. They are famous for this. Beware
I had two failure code lights on for months for an O2 (OXYGEN) Sensor and a MAP Sensor for the Catalytic Converter on my 2004 Suburban with only 43, 000 miles on it. I finally took it to the dealership and the "SLEAZY CARE" people sent an adjuster who upon arrival, after being shown the DIAGNOSTIC REPORT, demanded the lights be reset and when they didn't come back on IMMEDIATELY WITH THE CAR SITTING IN THE DEALERSHIP BAY, DECLARED THE CAR O.K.! This is their little trick, so you get stuck with the Dealership diagnostic cost ($95) and leave, only to have the lights come on again and you go through the same thing again AND AGAIN! You would have to be there when the sensors fail PERMANENTLY, to get them covered! These PEOPLE WERE PAID $2500 TO COVER THIS CAR NOT FIND REASONS TO GET OUT OF PAYING! BEWARE DO NOT BUY THIS INSURANCE, SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR REPAIRS. IF THEY WON'T COVER A $250 SENSOR DO YOU THINK THAY WILL COVER A $4500 ENGINE?

EasyCare Refused to honor RV repairs

February, 2013 – Beware of Easy Care RV extended warranty! I purchased a $5000 warranty October, 2011 when I bought my 40’ diesel pusher at a dealer. Took my first big trip in August, 2012. The RV broke down outside of Pocatello, ID that evening. It took 3 different repair shops to find the problem in two different cities over 15 days. I contacted Easy Care the first night and got nowhere. Next morning I called and told them what my situation was. Not once did Easy Care lift a finger to assist me or contact the shop that was working on the problem. I was in continuous conference with them, but still they refused to pay for the repairs – which amounted to over $7, 400 out of pocket (not counting 14 hotel stays and eating out costs). Their excuse was “no one contacted them from the repair shop “to get authorization”, so no coverage. I was also quite ill at the time, but no sympathy or consideration for that either. Letters were written to Easy Care along with telephone conversations, but they still hung their hat on the “no authorization – no payment” for repairs. What I found out was these shops do not want to deal with this company because they don’t always pay the full amount or they are just difficult to work with. I was told by the last repair company, if you want an RV extended warranty, go with Good Sam. I have since cancelled my extended warranty and have taken this complaint to the BBB for assistance. …Bruce/California

EasyCare Claims not paid

Think long and hard about wasting tour money on this. Simply put the warranty programs are expensive and cover very liuttle when it comes right down to it. If that is not bad enough the ironically named "customer service " representatives are useless. I took out a policy on my car and have had five issues arise during the course of the policy. Easy care has covered only 1.5 of the 5 repairs. When I call to talk to someone the customer service personnel refuse to allow me to talk to the underwriters as that is against company policy. Yes, you the customer - cannot speak to anyone but the people who answer phones. This would be OK if these folks had any idea what they were talking about. However time after time I have to explain what is wrong with the car and they just don't understand. For example on one occassion I needed a new window motor for the car. The dealer contacted Easy Care but was told it would not be covered because that is normal wear. So I called Easy Care to pursue the matter. I explained the siutaion to the rep on the phone who then had to put me on hold (for 11 minutes) to speak to an adjuster. She came back to me and explained it was not covered at this was a matter of "normal wear". I then asked to aspeak to someone else and she refused. I gave her more details and she spoke again with an underwriter. She then came back and explained to me, "There are many parts of the motor and transmission that can just wear out." Yes believe it or not she thought I was talking about the main car engine and not a window motor in the door! In the end I called back the next day and spoke with someone else who just read off the notes on file from the previous day. I had a problem with a trunk opener/closer and that was also considered to be "normal wear". I am of the impression that the staff are trained to just repeat the words "normal wear" to anyone who calls. They might as well have parrots answering the calls.

Also be advised that whilst you have to pay on day one of your poilcy and the clock starts ticking right then if you want a refund they insist you go to the dealer where you bought the policy and start the refund process. They quote a minimum of 30 days to process the refund (once they receive it from the dealer) but the dealer told me it can take as much as 60 days or more to get the actual money back. I know when I took out the polciy Easy Care claims they did not recive it for 26 days after the inception date - but be sure the policy was backdated to the day at the dealer's office.

All,
Until this post can be removed... Here is what EASY CARE DID!
After explaining the CONTRACT as a whole and showing me that it STATES CLEARLY that the parts, they do not cover. They offered to help me get my car back on the road. Not only did each person in their chain of command treat me with the utmost respect they did follow everything they had told me they would do.
It’s not many times a company STANDS behind their customer but they went above and beyond. I did state to them I was a military member and I had served my country proudly in Iraq and Afghanistan. While being a veteran does not really matter, they PROUDLY volunteered to do something completely amazing.
As a member of the US Armed Forces they were ready to support their troops. I walked into the dealership and my car was COMPLETELY taken care of. EASY CARE ensured all my parts were replaced so I could get back and forth to work. They DID NOT have to do anything as stated in their contract. They did SURPRISE me by really going ABOVE AND BEYOND to help me out.
As a company that was backed with a written signed contract, they did not have to do anything! I was so amazed and overwhelmed on what they had done it really put me in a state of shock. I was pretty amazed on what they did and would RECOMMEND this company to anyone who was curious about an extended warrantee. I am not sure how they pulled this together or what it took to accomplish this by EASY CARE but this act of kindness should not be over looked.
I want to express that I was angry because I was not aware of what my contract entitled me. I can tell you that EASY CARE did more for me than they will ever know. I also want to recognize how MILITARY FRIENDLY they are!
