East Side Mario's food and service was fine but there we so many mosquitoes

We went there on monday evening, service was quick and nice. We chose to sit inside as I expected it will be clean. However there were sooo many mosquitoes inside, I got 4 bits and it is not hygienic, as mosquito sat on the food as well. I showed the waitress, the mosquitoes I killed she just picked the dead ones and went away. I will not be able to go there atleast whole summer if these are the conditions

East Side Mario's food

We went there and wanted to order veal parmesan and cheese sticks. The menu has been changed. I tried the proscuito wrapped mozzarella and found it discusting. My husband ordered rigatoni with Alfredo sauce with shrimp. The sauce may have been just cream as it was so watery. We have found that the pizza and pasta dishes at Boston Pizza are far superior to East Side. We go there specifically for the veal and mozza sticks and are willing to pay more than Boston for our meals. We will now be going online for your menu before going again. The last time you took veal off the menu it took a couple of years for us to try it again.

East Side Mario's bill issues/didn’t receive our discount/poor manager service

Asked for our bill & were told the system was down & manager currently fixing. More than 20 minutes later still with no bill, asked waitress if we could get the total & we'd pay in cash. (We were now running late & needed to immediately go to pickup our elderly & sick diabetic dog before he became stuck overnight @vet).

She went to manager to see if this was possible or what could be done. We'd been waiting for him to apply our CAA discount prior to learning of these problems. Needles to say we never got to speak w/ boss; we'd seen him walking around with phone but he never came to see us to try & help or explain why our CAA discount couldn't be calculated in.

We had just enough cash on us to pay total when we finally got it. Unfortunately, as weren't able to use debit/credit we were unable to give our server (who'd been great throughout our meal & tried her best to help) the tip she deserved & would've otherwise gotten.

Manager at no point acknowledged us, tried to help or even apologized for any inconvenience (which there was to us & our server). While he himself can't be held accountable for the system, I'm very disappointed in his overall handling. As someone with many years of customer service I feel the client is right no matter what. Secondly any boss is responsible for customers as well as their own staff, and added to that the atmosphere of their business.

As someone who's been a longtime fan of east side tonight I left disappointed.

East Side Mario's ravioli alf gigantico

I have been going to East Side Mario's for an extremely long time and i almost always order the same meal "chicken tetrazzini" however, this one time on December 30, 2018 I decided to try the Ravioli alf Gigantico as it was recommended. I have to say that i have never been so disappointed and disgusted with a meal in my life. I received a plate that had 3 noodles in which i paid $17.49 for and it was horrible. To be honest with you i have not returned to East Side Marios ever since. I would greatly appreciate it if there was some type of compensation for this, otherwise to be honest I don't think i will be returning again.

East Side Mario's corporation in general.

First. We phone and you only deliver through skip the dishes.
Stupid ^ considering that company is a joke also.
Second. We phone back to pick up an order and we are not allowed to order soup on its own. What the actual f*!

"no you need to order an entrè, we don't serve soup on its own"
That a bit [censored].
If i'm going to pay for something. I will order what I want.
Disgusting staff attitude over the phone as well.

Go shove hot soup up your fat a*!
Money sucking losers.

East Side Mario's food and service

When we got there front door staff was rude asked how many we answered then she went to another table to deliver menus then back to us and started to walk away. Server came she was friendly. Got food all pasta was starchy I had larger noodles and it was worse. Got remade with fettuccini noodles they were still starchy and the bacon was just pieces of fat, I assume they gave me the fat cause I sent back my first dish. Showed the owner he said its bacon its suppose to be fatty and I said not this is just the fat. He continued to argue with me. As we were leaving I could see the salad station and they were taking the noodles from a bowl and with bare hands putting them in bags. It was 345 PM this was after he told me the pasta was fresh made at 930 am . We eat at Eastside in kitchener regularly and decided to go out with our family while in london. This was the worst experience we have had. The rest rooms were discusting not cleaned in sometime with stains on seats and toilets that wint flush.

East Side Mario's terrible customer service

My family and I went for dinner and ordered off the promotional buy one take one home menu. When we finished and paid the waiter never brought us the extra dish.
On our way home we realized and called back. The waiter said to come back but we where already home.
We mentioned we lived far away and it was not convent to drive back.
He suggested we come in over the weekend and pick up the extra dish.
I will add he was not very friendly about all this. He seemed annoyed.8 days passed and we called back as we were in the area.
The manger told us to come in and he would "whip something up of u brother"
My wife and 6 year old daughter went in to pick up food and he was rude to my wife.
When she questioned why the portion was so tiny he said that's what you get. The food was about 1 cup of cooked pasta and 2 very tiny meatballs with no meat sauce.
She asked again why it was so small he again was very rude.

We have eaten her before and been in many times with my sons hockey team.
I will never dreamed that the mangment would be so rude to a female and child and risk loosing a paying customer in the future over a 10 dollar plate of pasta.
Bad business.

East Side Mario's bad food

Went for dinner and ordered off the promotional buy one take one home menu. I ordered the baked ravioli bologna. The picture showed beautiful bubbling cheeses completely covering the ravioli, with parsley sprinkled on top. The description said "swimming in bolognese", "loaded with cheese", and "baked to perfection". It came out with so little cheese on it, that you could count the shreds.

East Side Mario's waterloo university ave location

12/20/2018 went there for an important family dinner.
we were a party of four. The waitress was clueless, she forgot straws and salad.
The meals were cold and tasteless and microwaved.
The calamari was cold and rubbery with no flavor
we will never go back.

obviously they have back house problems and absolutely no management whatever.

East Side Mario's garden salad

Five of us went for dinner to Eastside Mario's on Gibb street in oshawa on December 3.
The garden salad was not the usual salad it seemed like the roughage tops of romaine. No carrot in it and very unappealing. The waitress said it was because the romaine shortage they used all the other lettuce and had to pay extra to get the romaine. Garden salad is not all romaine. I have eaten at Eastside mario's for year but this new one is sure not like the others. I have been to this location 3 times and only once the salad was good. I would go there more because the salad is part of the main reason I go. I will try it again but if it's still not the real Eastside mario's garden salad I won't go back

East Side Mario's overcharge and quality of food

My family and I were in the cranbrook restaurant on october 27 2018. We were there to use our scene points and have a fun family meal. Our server was funny and dif take care of us well. I cannot fault her for the disgusting quality of food. We ordered the make your own pasta. Our sauce was alfredo and veg was mushroom. What could go wrong? Well the sauce tasted and looked like white colored water and very few mushrooms. We are glad our intention was to share. We expected to be charged for adding a salad but when the bill arrived instead of an add on salad there was a whole meal with big DO NOT MAKE on it. The server said her manager must have added it on. I dont mind paying for food I am served by the way. I was not served the added meal. Very disappointing and I felt like someone was trying to pull a fast one on us.
That all being said, I would like to mention the table clothes were less to be desired to say the least. They are faded and peeling in many spots and does not offer the impression of cleanliness.

East Side Mario's quality of food

We ordered online, ESM website - Kanata, ON, yesterday, Oct. 30th, 2018, and one of the meals asked for was a chicken entree - was told it could not be delivered. Checked the 'Skip the Dishes' app and the same item was listed in the menu at the same location, and just to see if it would work, I put an order into the app and the meal was placed in the 'basket' - uhm, what? Why could we not order it then?

The food was not great at all. My meal barely came with the chicken (the few strips of chicken), cheese, veggies, etc., but a ton of spaghetti - $18.00 for spaghetti...

Another meal ordered was the Cheese Cappelletti. Used to be so good, tasted like it was homemade - maybe it was, who knows - not this time. It was a little hard inside and tasted like it came from a frozen bag. We asked for an extra bread each and one container of extra cheese each. Used to come free, now was charged an extra (we think as the receipt did not show the prices) .99 cents each per item. All of the bread was hard as a rock. With those items, some meatballs, and one more "meal" consisting of plain cooked spaghetti, the total was over $73.00.

The food was terrible, not like it used to be at all, and the price was ridiculous. We do not order out, nor do we eat out much and I completely get why. It is insane.

Not worth it. If you want a good meal, you are better off taking that money and buying/preparing it yourself from the grocery store.

East Side Mario's scene card

I went in today to have dinner with my boyfriend after work! I figured it was time to redeem some of the points I spend so hard to earn!

When came time to pay... scene card kept saying out of time. I called the scene company and they said everything on my account was fine.

East side Gloucester said it was my card that wasn't working. After 1h on the phone with wach company I got nowhere. My bill was 41$. I was going to redeem 30$ of my poits. One of the two partners should be paying my 30$ difference. Instead scene say they can't do anything cause everything is fine on my file And east side Mario say my card doesn't work!

I feel like scene points and it's restaurant partnership are jus Using clients to their advantage! As I've said when something goes wrong neither take responsibility!

To top off my complaint .. my dish was amazing! But my husband burger look like it had been reheated and Thrown on a plate!

East Side Mario's bad attitude

Visited the Newmarket location, was greeted by who I believe was the server in the bar area who happened to come to the door. Her attitude was atrocious and she had no manners, she sarcastically made a comment and walked away from the table after she slaps down the menus. Spoke with the manager however her attitude wrecked my meal anyway. Even my 9 year old noticed her poor attitude. I would have addressed her behaviour but I figured she's most likely immature and no point in having a discussion when she clearly has an attitude problem and a mature conversation would have not made a difference.

East Side Mario's my whole experience

My family and I ate at the store in the mayflower. Mall in sydney ns and I can tell you we will never eat there again. Our server was rude told and actully told us to hurry up and give her our drink order as I was trying to explain the childrens menu to my kids ok yes they are 11 n 12 however each menue is diffrent and yours is bright n colorful so I was trying to help them and after my server being asked to give us some time she still was rude telling us to hurry up... And it didnt get any better she was pushing herself up super close to my husband even tho I was already reaching for my soup when she brought it to the table she made my youngest wait for more bread as she wasnt able to eat the soup I had due to allergys. And then. She was more than 3/4 done her meal with a trip to the bathroom in there before the waitress even brough more bread to the table I had to ask her 3more times. And she rolled her eyes while agreeing to go get it and the water I asked for even tho she tried to sound pleasent... I ordered chicken parm and it was pretty much cold 6-7 bites into in the breaded chicken was cold my girls meals (the chicken finer n fries off of the bigger kids meals menu) were only luke warm they said it was cold to b honest but it was actually luke warm to the touch and it was the manager who brought it to us as it seemed the waitress didnt want to be near us at that point she had a few tables yes but. That doesnt make it right im a waitress as well so I know how standards should be and im pretty relaxed honestly this is the second time I decided not to return and this is 100% true now 1st time I brushed it off as a bad day oh and yes my husband didnt even get a quarter threw his double order of his lasagna because he ran to the bathroom and puked when he spoke to the amazing manager she took the price of his meal off then we left after she gave my girls their. Dessert... The only good thing I can say about the waitress was she rememberd my youngest daughters allergy to red dye and as we were leaving she stopped me and asked if everything else was ok I told her honestly im so upset right now I dont wanna deal with it but yah it was a not very warm/hot. And walked out... I did see alot of workers that were amazing bubbly happy n looked like they wanted to be at work... However our waitress who's hair by the way wasnt pulled back ruined our spontanious happy family dinner... I would also suggest you adjust portion size as they were small to me for a main course the lasagna portion for a double portion to me is a regular portion not a double and the chicken parm was only an appetizer size (minus the actual chicken that was perfect) it wasnt worth the price so from one very unhappy family of customers to the company something needs to be done... But let me make this clear all I want from this is to have it corrected I dont want your product as ill never return to your resturant here in sydney. But I must say koodoos to the rest of the staff for their bubbly happy attitudes and the manager for even checking on my husband and hoping he feels better and her pleasent attitude...

East Side Mario's 103 great lakes brampton ont

I had placed an order over the phone at 7:07pm on sept 22.2018 and was told it would be ready in half an hour 7:37pm, my husband reached their location to pick it up at 7:30, the order was not, he was told to wait, finally around 8:00pm, he was told it would take another 20 mins, he left with the order at 8:30 from restaurant. After he picked it up I called the restaurant to find out the reason and was put on hold on 10 mins to speak to the manager. I then hung up due to the long wait and called customer service, again after explaining everything I was transferred to the location again and put on hold. I need an answer for this. What kind of restaurant makes someone wait for 1 1/5 for one small order of pasta, soup and loaf. The restaurant should not haven't taken the order if they do not know how to run their business. I finally spoke to the manager Chantelle who was extremely rude and said how they were really busy. By questioning a customer and asking if I was just complaining just so I can get a credit which I didn't even ask for. Rather than apologizing she was in returning blaming my husband and saying he shouldn't have waited and asked to speak to a manger? This is undone

East Side Mario's service and product

We went to east side marios in hamilton on upper james. First time back since the renos.
Ordered water and pop. Came with a straw so we asked. The server pulled out 3 black straws from her dirty apron. The straw where to in a package which they need to be. And this is why. I went to have a drink and i had floaties in my drink. Went to put straw in my friends drink but it was covered in dirty like fluff and also food crumbs. I was shicked at the dirty ness of the straw. So server came back. Advised what the issue was. I asked for new drinks and straws. She brought back 3 different straws beinv held in her dirty hands. As she just cashed out the table b4 me.
I asked her nicely again to please replace all these drinks.
So with her eyes rolling at my request she took igem and brought back a new drink only this time she took it upon herself to put a straw in my pop before she brought it to our table. Wow right.
So i went and had manage come to our table to chat. Advised him what happen. His first response to me was " we dont usually give straws"
Wow really. May not seem like much to them, but its very serious. The manager ended up bringing us new drinks.
But with the poor service already received. We decided to leave tge restuarant. We left hungry upset and not like this place at all.
We weee treated like dumb bums when we complained.
All we wanted was to eat, tip our waitress then leave. Nope didnt happen

East Side Mario's discounts and scene points

Just ate at the east aide in Huntsville ON, advise waitress right after ordering we have caa, so that we can receive our 10% off. Waitress Laura w. Brings bill to table my spouse pays with debit I look at bill we have not been given the caa discounts or scene points. Ask waitress she says she will take to her manager. Laura comes back to table and says she can't fix it because the bill is "closed". Very poor excuse the bill can be reopened and our bill was over 130.00 which would have been over 13.00 in savings. Not impressed with this . They never even offered a coupon a free appetizer at next visit or anything.

East Side Mario's bad service, management not taking responsibility and blaming it on a shortage of staff.

On Wednesday the 1st of August our group of six completed a round of Golf, even if mother nature gave us a soaking we were in good humour. That changed when we arrived at East Side Mario`s Hull at the Galeries de Hull. We were seated immediately, the restaurant was not too busy. We were six (6) hungry, thirsty men ready to order drinks and food. We waited another 10 minutes before someone asked us if a waitress took our drink orders. We replied no-one has asked us what we would like to drink. They sent a young waitress to take our order. We asked for a pitcher of beer and one (1) glass of wine since I cannot drink beer due to allergies. We waited another twenty (20) minutes before we asked the young waitress to take our food order and asked at the same time where was our drinks we ordered.
We waited another twenty (20) minutes until my brother decided to seek out the manager, and asked to at least get our drinks. Ten (10) minutes later we received the pitcher a beer, but I did not get my glass of wine or we have not had any food up to this time. I am diabetic and I need to eat at certain times and take my pills which I did when we ordered the food. We finally received to small bread loaf for six men after 1hr 30 of wait. Approximately 15 minutes later we received two bowls of salad one Caesar and the other Garden (this is part of all you can eat salad or soup). We all had salads except for one of our guys ordered the vegetable soup. He did not get his soup and I did not get my glass of wine. The salads were gone in five (5) minutes we waited another twenty (20) minutes no food or waitress to ask for more salads or drinks. My brother went to the manager and asked to get this done since we had some of us who had previous engagement and running out of time. The manager said they were unusually busy and they will get someone to help, he also mentioned they were short staff.
That was a poor management decision, my eldest brother had to go after eating a little salad. I finally got my glass of wine after almost two hours, told the waitress that the service here needs to be look at seriously and maybe management needs a go kick you know where.
We decided as a group to go somewhere else to enjoy at least some food. We left money for the jug of beer and glass of wine. I never had any problems with other East Side Mario's before and enjoy their food. One of our friend was an American from San Diego, he ask us is this the usual service at this type of restaurant we said definitely not. The young waitress apologised profusely and also mentioned she understood. I cannot understand the management at this restaurant they lost the business of six (6) hungry and thirsty men all in upper management in government and private business. Big disappointment from the East Side Mario's Galeries of Hull restaurant. We went to our usual restaurant even though it was on the other side of Ottawa. We were served and out of there in less than 1 hour 30 minutes happy to have food in us finally.
The next day I spoke to my colleagues at work and told me that his son in law works across the street from that East Side Mario's and they never go there for lunch for that exact reason. I do not know how you select your management but there is a serious issue with that specific store, maybe head office should look into seriously before they tarnish all of the East Side Mario's in the |Ottawa area.
I know what busy looks like, I worked in the food industry where I was required to feed 1200 hungry men & women in 1 hour and a half. My team has always succeeded in getting it done. Trust me, they were not that busy, there was many empty tables around us.
I blame it on poor management and poor planning on their part.
We all decided and definitely will never go back to that East Side Mario's.

Good morning,

It is with much regret that I feel compelled to share an unfortunate experience our family has encountered with the East Side Mario's location in Kanata, ON. Our daughter has special needs and her favorite restaurant in the entire world is East Side Mario's. Her 16th birthday is approaching and we had arranged a reservation for 30 guests on Sunday June 24th at 5:00pm. Upon making this reservation on May 24th, I informed the manager that we had arranged a limousine for my daughter's arrival as a special surprise.

Yesterday afternoon I called this location to inform that we now had 32 confirmed guests and I had hoped to review the billing and some other details together prior to Sunday. I was then informed that there were some concerns for the ability to service this dinner due to staffing levels and that someone should have called me to tell me that. I asked to speak to the manager and instead of a hello, I received "What's the problem?" as a welcome from Ali who then indicated he was the owner. I was dismayed and appalled by the level of service and clear lack of concern for the success of our reservation.

Last night, I found another location to host our dinner. I called to cancel our original reservation with East Side Mario's and the response was "no problem" again from the owner.

I am really struggling with how we have been treated and what is particularly hard, is this our family's absolute favorite restaurant. There is a part of me that considers if we will ever frequent your location again even on a leisure basis. Perhaps East Side Mario's has become too successful and don't need to practice customer service anymore. It's most disappointing. Once again, I truly feel compelled to share this with you as we've had loyalty to your brand for so many years.
