Dyson Dyson v6 absolute

I have made several requests for a new battery for my Dyson absolute v6. Serial # JX6-US-GKA6056A
I have not heard back. We spent over $700 on this dyson. We are really thinking of making a complaint page on Facebook and we will see how many people have this complaint with the dyson v6. The battery is only $40 online but as a dyson customer I believe dyson should replace the battery which will probably cost them half that price. This unit never worked right. I thought it was just the way it is with a cordless never have had one before. But as time went on the battery lasted les and less. It was no longer under warranty or maybe it is but still such a large company should treat their customers right especially one who spent $700 plus for this model.
If I don't hear from you I will take this to another level.

Dyson Cooling fan

We bought a dyson cool fan for my Mom. Last year it seemed to work well, she started it up this year and it does not cool the room. When I phoned your support department they told me that dyson fans do not cool a room they just push the air around. So why do you call it a dysoncool and why did I spend over $300.00 on it. To me sounds like false advertising! The place where we bought it advertised how it cools a room, hhhmm that's a load of crap. I am a very dissatisfied customer. Meanwhile my 76 year old Mom is dying in the heat. Thanks so much

Dyson Dyson v8 absolute under the warranty (dyson canada and usa)

Very poor quality of service

"I am really sad my great best friend is broken. It's about our V8 Animal the red lever upwards is broken and we cannot empty the cylinder. Also, our great V8 Animal is located in Grand Cayman (Caribbean). How can you help us?"

We contacted your Customer Service Department because there's a broken piece on our Dyson V8 absolute that is still under the warranty. We bought the machine in Canada but, as we are now living in the Caribbean, we contacted the US Customer Centre because it is more convenient to have things shipped to and from Miami, Fl.

In our first attempt, we talked with Sharleen who was helpful but we had to do a follow-up call as we had to verify something.

In our second call, after waiting countless minutes on hold, we spoke with another rep who was not listening, was rude and the line cut (we somewhat believe that the rep simply hanged up). So we had to call back.

In our third call, we asked to speak with Sharleen but we were told that there was no one with this name at the Centre. We started again to explain the problem but the rep interrupted us saying that we had to speak with someone in Canada and without saying more, transferred us to Canada. Of course, we waited again on the line and when somebody finally answered, we've been told that the line was so bad and that we have to call back.

It's been one hour and a half that we want to speak with someone. Dyson have great products (we have 3 of them) but if they ever break, you are left on your own.

Also, It might be unusual but it is not impossible for the machine to break in this way as we can testify. The bin has always been very difficult to both open and close. Please also note that we never asked Dyson to ship to another country, we mentioned on each call (and on the message you just replied) that you would be able to ship to Miami. Finally, I don't quite understand your comment on not bringing a Dyson when we are moving countries. Are you saying that all the expatriates of the World, and there are millions like us, would need to buy a new Dyson on every move? That would, of course, be beneficial for Dyson as you would substantially increase your revenues. Meanwhile, that would be to the detriment of the interests of your clients, as they would not only have to incur the expense but they would also lose the existing warranty on their products.

After discussed with Dyson (escalations), Dyson USA sent us a new Cordless Vaccum very quickly.

My only comment about this issue, why we need to escalate when the product is on warranty?

Thanks Dyson USA

Dyson worst customer service ever

I am a loyal customer of Dyson. First of all, i would like to say I am a very satified customer with dyson products. I've purchased three dyson vacuums over the past 5 years. My mind was totally changed after today's conversation with your dyson customer service department.
I placed a dyson supersonic hair dryer product order over the phone on November 27, 2017. The person who helped place the order said i would receive the order within 7 to 10 days. It was my wife's birthday gift. 15 days after, on december 12, 2017, i called in after i realized i still haven't got the order. The first person answered my phone directed me to the US department, then i was redirected back to the Canadian department .The third person i spoke to was anita. After i explained what happened to my order, she apologized to me and put me on hold to find out what's wrong with my order. She came back after almost 30 minutes and told me my order was cancelled due to an inventory error. ARE YOU SERIOUS!? How could you cancel an order without notifying your customer? She quickly offered what you could do to me which made me feel even worse. First of all, the iron and pink one was not in stock. Only were there two other colors i could choose from. Second, the original one was a limited edition so it came with a case, the other ones didn't come with it. I asked her if she could do something about the price since it's not the color i wanted and there was no case. The answer was immediately "NO" and she said she didn't know why the person who did my original order gave me discount. Come on, you should ask your coworker this question not me. Such a poor customer service. Why should i pay almost $500 for a product with wrong color and without a case for it. It is ridiculous!
two days after the call, i finally received a letter saying that my order was cancelled with no appology.

Dyson vacuum V8 - cordless is a disappointing performer. The battery went caput in one month.
Dyson misrepresents the power of the vacuum suction of this machine and should be sued for such false claims. Avoid this product

Dyson Dyson aggressive behavior and lack of service

Dyson refused to discuss any type of complaint or repair until i provide them with a bucket of personal information about myself, and where i live.
I even went to their service office, whatever they called it. When i asked for a replacement for a $1.00 plastic cover clasp, they laughed and told me to bring my entire machine in for inspection. They would not say why, just stood there with a stupid grin. They basically told me don't bother them unless i bring my entire machine in. Another time, 5 months after buying a new dc22 motorhead "rug beating tool, the tiny plastic drive-shaft broke. Yes, i did say "plastic drive-shaft". When i emailed them for assistance, and asked if they could repair the floor tool, they wanted the serial number and purchase location and date of the vacuum cleaner, and all of my personal information, including where i live. What business of theirs is any of that, and what has it got to do with fixing a floor tool? So far, they haven't even talked to me, only emailed an information request, for no reason. I asked if they could fix their product, they asked where i live. Not an honest responce, stinks of fraud and information phishing!

Dyson Boxing day sale

Hello,

My concern is about your dyson DC66 that was on sale for $199.00. I am a mom of two little ones who are both under 3years. I took my boys in the cold to your Victoria location as early as 5am but still couldn't get this product. I understand the sale is while quantities last but they were only 5 quantities in store meanwhile your advertising says 500 nation wide. You've got less than 100 stores so how can Victoria not get much?
I think its fair to let customers know how many each store gets so we don't have high hopes especially mom's with kids standing in line with the cold.
I was very disappointed and upset about missing out on this purchase. I really need this vacuum but can't afford it until this sale came along.

Please be more informative on your advertising in the future. I will also like to request for a special concession to get this product at the sale price.

Thanks for your understanding.

Good luck with that, they won't even help customers that have already paid full price for their made-to-break products. Consider yourself lucky, you didn't get stuck with one of their products. Not only do they intentionally design their products to break, no matter how careful you are, they engage in intimidation and unnecessary information mining from their customers. They do not honor their warranties, or fix their broken products. They have purposefully designed them to be replaced, not fixed. My rug attachment broke, they will not fix it, I had to pay $177.00 for a replacement that broke 5 months later. My wife and I are in too much pain to do much vacuuming, and it was only used in our small manufactured home. The machine was a used gift. I certainly won't be paying over $350.00 a year for new floor tools. I would only recommend Dyson to a worst enemy. As it is I don't have any enemies, except Dyson.
Good Luck,
Grenfell Fisher

Dyson Dyson's 5 year guarantee trick

I feel as a customer, that I have been tricked and defrauded by Dyson.
The company ensures that their products are suppose to last and the materials used are top quality. Therefore Dyson provides a 5 years guarantee for these products. In the end I see that this is not the case.

In 2012, I bought a Dyson 19t Origin vacuum cleaner from an online retailer in The Netherlands.
From the day I purchased this vacuum cleaner, I used it with caution in a 50 m2 apartment, since I consider it as an expensive product compared to other vacuum cleaners in the market.

Few days ago I pressed the button with normal pressure in order to empty the canister and 2 pieces from the main body of the vacuum cleaner fell off.

I have contacted UK and The Netherlands Dyson's department but the company doesn't want to repair the product, which is entitle in the guarantee!
Below is a paragraph from the terms and conditions of the Dyson 5 Year Guarantee, which they used as an excuse not to cover the expenses, despite the product still being under guarantee:
"There are some circumstances that are not covered by a Dyson guarantee. These include accidental damage, misuse, blockages, use of parts or accessories that are not Dyson Genuine Components and repairs or alterations carried out by parties other than Dyson or its authorised agents".
I find the above paragraph vague and that it can be used as a nice excuse for any possible faulty parts of Dyson's products.

The last discussions that I had with their representatives, they are telling me that I dropped the vacuum cleaner since they have never seen something like that! I asked them multiple times to provide me with more tangible proofs that indicates that I have mistreated and dropped the product, but they didn't collaborate.
Based on the overall condition of this specific product it is obvious that this fault is not caused by:
Negligent use, misuse, neglect or careless operation of the machine; The product has been carefully used over the past 2+ years

Dyson as a big company, they have managed to mislead their customer with this so called 5 years warranty which eventually doesn't apply because of this little paragraph which they use as a nice excuse.
The cost of this specific repair is minor compare to the way Dyson treated me as a customer, it is unacceptable!
I have already pursued my rights as a customer to the legitimate organizations in The Netherlands.

Dyson vacuum and customer service

Got a DC24 Animal in Mar 2012, it broke in May and I still don't have it back.. Called Dyson and they walked me through there "easy fix" It did not fix it... I sent pics as requested, and the same day I sent extra pics to Alexandra at Dyson, I got a letter in San Diego saying the engineers said there was nothing wrong with it. It is broken, the beater bar doesn't work, suction is bad...WHAT DO THEY THINK, CONSUMERS ARE DUMB...How did I get a letter from Chicago to San Diego the same day? I didn't, it was posted 5 days before they asked for pics of the broken beater bar... So they lied again. I Had to threaten lawsuits against them to take the vacuum for service.. Sent it it in Dec 16th 2012, today Feb 24th, 2013 and still no vacuum back...They wont return calls, all the supervisors never return calls. I have this documented by recordings and videos also... This broken beater bar damaged my carpet in May 2012, and no resolve to this issue either still to this date... Now they wont call or email back, and I have had a non working vacuum since May 2012, and no vacuum since Dec 2012, as it has Disappeared in the shop somewhere.. And guess what also, they are no longer pert of the BBB, they pulled from to many complaints..SHAME ON YOU DYSON INC.

Dyson Horrible customer service

Don't buy anything from Dyson. I needed to exchange a part and tried calling numerous times with waits longer than 30 mins and I'd have to hang up. I then e-mailed and a week later got a response that I had to call to get a RA. Finally I called and waited 40 mins to talk to someone and they told me it was past 30 days and there was nothing they could do. I then sent letter to them and was told 2 weeks later, it was my fault for not contacting them within 30 days. I am returning the part, with receipt confirmation, disputing the charge on my CC and filing a complaint with the BBB. I'm tired of these companies thinking they can just rip off consumers without repercussion. I know fighting for your rights is a hassle and seems easier to just forget about it, but on principle I am not letting this go.

Dyson Dyson is a rip off on parts

I have a Dyson DC07 upright. A little 3 inch plastic catch that connects the main cyclone system to the macine broke. When I tried to purchase a replacement piece which would cost about $4, I was told I needed to buy the entire cyclone assembly fr $79.99. I am going to destroy the vacuum and buy a Dirt Devil for $50. I was told to schlep out to Brooklyn to a repair company and see if they had the piece. I told the customer service(?) rep that there was no way I could do that and, since they manufacture the piece, they should be able to get one. I was rudely brushed off and told in no uncertain terms that it's tough but that's the way Dyson does business and, if I feel cheated, well, to bad. Never again with me I'm afraid. They manufacture plastic crap for a premium price and I'm a quick learner.

I had a similar experience. They would not sell me a $1.00 plastic latch for a filter door. They insisted on my bringing my entire vacuum cleaner to their shop for inspection. That would probably cost $200.00, just a guess. And, there was the rug tool, $177.00 with no warranty available, broke in 5 months, they will not repair it. I will never buy anything even remotely associated with Dyson, ever again, anywhere in the world.

Dyson poor service and product

Had the animal model only 5 months and the motor on the front rollers burnt out. the company did nor honor warranty and the authorized repair services claimed they were waiting for parts for over 6 months the vacuum, was never fixed and calls to customer were rude, hung up on or told someone would contact us which never happened either. This IS A SHAME Dyson you have stolen money from a non-profit animal rescue foster home. The first model for animals was great and I sold a lot of vacuums for Dyson in the animal community. just as easy to tell everyone the new model and customer service is terrible.

Dyson after 2 months not working ripped up my floor

I bought a Dyson Animal on March 6 2011. I had a problem with it since July of 2011. I bought it from Sears in Staten Island NY. It ripped up my linoleum in my kitchen because the roller would not stop rolling in the upright position or in the floor mode. I did not know this until I saw the rip marks in my floor. I had a claim in with Sears with all the pictures of the damage to my floor and all the phone calls made and they said I could not get my money back and they had a claim with there management service which dyson said they could not deal with. I had a claim with Dyson that said the engineers said the damage was not caused by the machine and I could take it to a authorized repair service or send it back to Chicago for inspection. This went on for months. I did not want to send it back or have it fixed because I knew that they would say it was not the machine. After months of calls I had the vacuum sent to a certified repair in Long Island NY through Sears on September 27 2011. I received it back on October 3 2011 and again the same thing happened. I sent it back to Dyson with a video a piece of left over linoleum and pictures on November 8 2011. I received a call on December 5, 2011 that the engineer decided it was the repair that was made to the machine that made the roller not work properly. So you tell me if this is the case why would I have this claim for months before the repair was even made. I stated from the beginning that the roller did not stop, I sent pictures of the damage way before I sent if to be repaired and now they want to say it was the repair that did that. I have the video of the machine ripping up the floor I have a list of a page and a half of phone calls and now I have go to court in New York and have the papers served in Chicago get a lawyer in Chicago and I don't know if I have to fly there. This is all for my money back for the vacuum and my floor repaired. I have no doubt that I will win in court, but you tell me why should I have to do this.

I called their cooporate office and they said they would send a complaint to the store's management team. i mean come on really sending a report to a manager we already complained about. We will never ever rent from aarons again and i strongly recommend that no one else does either.

Dyson vacuum doesn't work correctly

I find it ironic that Dyson has come out with a pet hair attachment, considering my vacuum recently began gathering hair in the belt department which results in the vacuum overheating and shutting down. I've had vacuums for 30 years and have never had a problem like this.

Due to the gathering hair around the belt, I'm forced to pick the hair out of the compartment for a half-hour session before every use. I called Dyson and explained my problem - and was referred to the local warranty shop, where the repairman/owner belittled me and accused me of purposely ruining my vacuum. He refused to look at it but insisted that there is nothing wrong with it. I'm not sure why he would tell me that there was nothing wrong with it, and then accuse me of misusing it. He told me that he gets plenty of business from Dyson and he's not worried about whether I complain to the company.

I wrote an email to Dyson but haven't received a reply back. IMHO they're so busy trying to invent and sell that they don't value their customers, nor do they support their products. I not only will never buy another Dyson product, but I'm also passing the word about both Dyson and the repair shop. I wasted hundreds on a product that only cleans if the floor is already clean and the company comes up with a pet hair product?

Laughable. I'd like my $300 back, please.

I have the Dyson DC17 and have had nothing but problems after 6 months of using it. The animal hair or other fibers get caught around the belt & gear and you are left sitting for at least 30 minutes picking with tweezers to get rid of it. Dyson has sent parts trying to fix it, sent it out twice to have it worked on only to find it wasn't fixed. Now they are shipping it to corporate (at least another 2 weeks of not having it) and Dyson is telling me that this is a maintanance issue and that the word pet in the name is only because of the pet attachments to clean your furniture. They say that the reason the hair gets stuck under the belt is because the hair your sweeping up must pass by this belt to be sucked up in your sweeper. They refuse to acknowledge that this is a manufacturer defect and do yourself a favor, do not purchase this machine unless you want major headaches. The DC15 ball is fine, no problems. Oh and if you have problems with your Dyson, expect long hold when trying to call.

Dyson quality

Had the $600.00 vacuum (DC28) for 2 weeks...then the height adjustment stops working. Sent it back to Dyson via UPS (I'm sure UPS is making a huge profit off Dyson). They call me 2 weeks later and say a part needs to be ordered that will take 10 days. Then install it and send it back to me?
I mean common, I paid for QUALITY, not the 5 year warranty(which I am sure I'll HAVE to use). I wont have a vacuum cleaner for longer than I have OWNED the stupid thing. It works GREAT when it's in my house.
I think Dyson's vacuum cleaners have a built in vacation setting...cause they sure spend more time lounging at the repair facility than actually working in your HOME!
