In 10 March 2008 I ordered and paid for by Visa card the DVD "Sleepers'.
order details are:
ORDER#: [protected] Sleepers (REGION 1) (NTSC) [DVD] (2007) Nigel Havers; Warren Clarke
On 3 April I subsequently received a completely different order, one placed for a totally different DVD, 'Portrait of a marriage', by a customer in Norway (I live in Australia!).
I subsequently informed Overman 2000 by e-mail of the botched order. They initially did not even read my complaint, simply replying with a form e-mail assuring me order may be delayed but would arrive shortly.
I subsequently managed to succeed in making Overman read my complaint. They assured me that they would dispatch the correct order on receipt of the original DVD, and on their advice, on 10 April, I returned the incorrect DVD to them via airmail.
On 23 April I deployed for a period of six months to Iraq, and had my mail during this period forwarded to me. I received no further communications from Overman 200o, and needless to say, no DVD.
On return to Australia in late October I again contacted Overman 200o, requesting an explanation for their failure, after six months, to provide me with my purchase. I received no response. I contacted them again two weeks later, advising them that I was disgusted with their customer service and that I would advise Amazon of their unacceptable, and to my mind dishonest, trade practices.
I have, not surprisingly, received no response.
So not only have I paid for an item I did not receive, I have paid air freight to return them the original incorrect item.
I consider Overman 2000 an unacceptable Amazon trader, in that they are :
a. grossly inefficient in that they could confuse orders for two customers literally hemispheres apart; and
b. they do not honour their obligations in providing goods paid for in good faith.
I request assistance from Amazon in seeking to secure the item for which I have paid.
