DVD DONKEY is a big scam... Unfortunately I did not see this web site before I ordered a very hard to acquire dvd set for my father for Christmas... As it turns out, I am having the same experiences as everyone else... The money has been taken out of my account... But, not dvd's have arrived in the mail (now 10 weeks since I ordered!) And no reply to any emails sent! I am really upset, if only because my father would have absolutely loved the dvd's for Christmas!

I hope no one else has this horrible experience!

I placed an order of Living Singles- the complete series, through DvdDonkey.com on 1-8-08. I started receiving emails telling me that the item was on backorder. I have received the total of 3 on backorder emails. I tried to send an email asking if they ever had the series on dvd. I still have not heard anything back on that email. So today 1-31-08 I had decided to click on request a refund and it brought me to this site.

I placed an order at dvd donkey.com and have not received the merchandise. They said my total order amount was $143.98, but they charged my credit card $151.12. We tried calling them and never actually spoke with a person. They make you think you are going to talk to a person, but that person is never available. In their phone message they call themselves dvd avenue and the credit card statement showed them as dvd shop. They sent us an email telling us our order is on backorder several times. I responded to each that I wanted to cancel my order and wanted them to credit my card. I thought it was strange that they charged my credit card and then tell me my purchase is on backorder. All of the online merchants I've ordered from, never charge unless the actual item is being shipped out and backordered items are not charged for until they ship. It has been five weeks since I placed the order. Today I thought I would go online to see if I could find any information about whether they were a scam. I found a lot of information that they are a scam. I called my credit card company and they credited my account. I also canceled that card account and had them issue a new account since the scam artist had my account number. In the future, I think before I order from an online merchant, I'll check online to see if their is any bad information about that merchant.

I ordered Ed The Complete Television Series On DVD for my finance as a Christmas gift over 6 weeks ago and still have not received my purchase. My checkings account has been charged $117.72 but I still have no product. I have tried e-mailing the company multiple times. It states on their website that they will reply within 34-48 hours and after several attempts I have not gotten a single response.

I also tried talking to someone through their live chat feature but I can never get connected.

I ordered thru DVD Donkey over a month ago and when the DVD's didn't arrive I panicked and just by chance punched in the following address -orders@dvddonkey.com hoping for some response. Nothing. But the email did not bounce back. then today I received a parcel with the dvd's I ordered. No invoice or order form inside. Only the following info. A card from DVDAvenue.TV, contact info -orders@dvdavenue.tv or ph 1-877-7-TV-SHOW. The address on the envelope was 1355 Mountain Ave 45458 Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3X 3B6. No name was supplied. Hope this can help someone else.

I placed an order with DVD Donkey for a set of DVD's (Married with Children) as a Christmas Present for my Husband. Now nearly 10 weeks have passed and no DVD's. At first they advised that my order had been placed on back order. Then they tell me they have processed a refund. After checking with my bank this is not the case. Email address's no longer work and the only way I have been able to contact them is via the website contact link where you fill in a form. First they told me my refund had been processed and when I called them on that they said the goods are still on back order. Also a response I got came from TV Addicts.

I then found this website with complaints against both DVD Donkey and TV Addicts as scammers.

There must be something we can do to stop more people from being ripped off.

I ordered the complete season of Emergency... this company guarantees quality DVD's however the DVD set I received sucks! The shows were recorded off of TV Land. There are even some commercials still in the shows. On the website it states there are no commercials and DVD's are of best quality. I tried calling them numerous times but they never seem to be in. I am VERY dissatisfied with the quality of their DVD's. I have half a notion to contact an attorney. I will be attempting to get my money back!

Paid $188 aus for all 9 seasons of Drew Carey as a christmas present for my brother, keep getting back ordered emails from them. When I email them asking for an approx delay date they send me the same generated email back. Have requested refund but so far nothing. From everything else I have know read on this site, i wish i have this info before my purchase. BEWARE this site is not honest! I thought it was 2 good to be true, annoyed i didn't listen to myself. So guys please be prepared to lose your money when purchasing from this site as you never know what your going to get, if anything at all!

Will update if anything actually eventually happens!

I used this company for the first time at the start of the year. They promptly withdrew my money from my account, but I'm yet to receive any goods. I wrote back several times and I got mixed responses 1- my money was being refunded (which it hasn't) 2- they were out of stock and were now sending them (which they haven't). When I've tried contacting them again SURPRISE NO ANSWER AT ALL. They have disappeared off the face of this world!

What can consumers do about receiving defective items from ordering DVD's on line from Donkey DVD and TV Addicts, had their credit card debited and lack of response time received from companies when you email them on these issues? What are the rules for protecting consumers with ordering items online? how can money be credited back for items purchased and not usable due to defectiveness. I have been waiting for a new shipment of DVD's since December 2007. I did advise the company that I would take this further if they did not get back to me and of course no response to date.

Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

This website is a complete scam! I ordered a unique DVD set for a friend for Christmas. The order was placed on December 3rd. My credit card was charged $250 on December 6th and I still do not have the DVD set over a month later. The toll free number goes into an answering machine that is unanswered. Emails have gone unreturned and responses from this company have ceased. Order #: 173814 was never received. I have not heard back from this company in weeks.

WOW! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. IT IS A HUGE SCAM! I ORDERED ON DEC 6 FOR CHRISTMAS. LIKE MOST OF THE OTHER COMLAINTS I DID NOT RECIEVE A CONFIRMATION, ONLY THE INVOICE THAT I THANKFULLY PRINTED WHEN I ORDERED. THEY SENT ME A FAKE TRKNG #ON THE 29th, YET TOOK MY MONEY ON THE 10th. THEN THEY TOOK MORE MORE MONEY THAN THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO! I AM TRYING TO GET THE $ RESOLVED WITH THE BANK AND I CONTACTED AN INVESTIGATOR IN CANADA, NOW I JUST HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE. THEESE PEOPLE ARE THEIVES AND LIARS. PLEASE DONT PUT YOURSELF IN THIS SITIUATION. I AM AN HONEST PERSON AND HOPEFULLY THE NEXT PERSON WHO IS THINKIKING OF ORDERING WILL READ THIS FIRST AND BE SPARED.

I hope this is not the same company I made a complaint to before. I purchased The Still Standing series box set from DVD Donkey back in January for $185.00. An email was sent to me a few days later saying that the item was on back order. I became suspicious when several weeks went by and I still never received the merchandise. I emailed the company and they responded that they would not charge my credit card until the merchandise was sent. When I received my next credit card statement, a charge was made for $185.oo. I emailed the company again and they sent an email with a phone number, when I called the number it several times it was just a recording that says that it will connect you to an operator but when you press for that option, it keeps saying that that extension is not available at the time but it does the same thing no matter what time of day you call. I reported this incident to the Better Business Bureau but they said that they could not do anything because they think the company may operate from Canada and uses a fake address, name and number

I ordered the set of JUDGING AMY and ROUTE 66 from DVD Donkey on Jan. 4 2008. Money, $166.77 was immediately deducted from my credit card. They sent several e mails saying that the merchandise was backordered, and if I wanted to cancel and get a refund I could. No chance. The button doesn't work, the phones have been disconnected or the mailbox is full on the other number. I have told them BY 'LIVE CHAT' (no answer back) that I will report them for fraud. Thank God my credit card will dispute the charges, and I haven't lost any money. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE SCAMMERS, AND IF YOU HAVE BEEN SCAMMED, TURN THEM IN!

Do not use DVD DONKEY they are a huge rip off! I purchased a hard to find collection through them for my father which I expedited so that he would receive it by Christmas. To my chagrine it was never sent. Not only did they charge my credit card but they failed to respond to any of my attempts at contacting them, whether by e-mail or phone. The real kicker is I called right after I made the order as I found the product elsewhere (cheaper) and spoke with a woman on LIVE CHAT who assured me my order was cancelled and that my card would not be charged. PLEASE DO NOT USE DVD DONKEY they will charge you and never send the product!

Ordered a box set of DVD's. They charged my credit card MORE than the total and have received no product. There is no way to contact them, the phone number they gave my credit card is fake and their website doesn't take complaints or comments. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!

For a Christmas present I ordered the complete 10 year collection of Beverly hills 90210. It has been four months since I ordered it and still have not received it. I have tried calling the number but it does not work. I have tried e-mailing them but all I get is the same response that my order is on back order. I tried to cancel and refund my order but the site you are supposed to go to does not exist. This was my first time ordering anything online and it will probably be my last because of the horrible experience I have had. I spent $150.00 dollars for nothing but a bunch of e-mails with no response.

On January 21st I placed an order for 100+ episodes of the Carol Burnett show thru DVD Donkey.com WHICH has now changed their name. They sent an email saying i would receive shipping confirmation email 12-48 hrs later... never received it, i emailed them twice, left 2 voice messages... NOTHING.., then COINCIDENTALLY, my credit card company calls me 1/28/08 w/ fraudulent charges on my account which had to be canceled... NEVER EVER heard from DVDDonkey by email or phone... I believe its DVDAvenue or something like that now. I should have known, it was the only place I found on the ENTIRE web to have all episodes for sale... NO MORE ordering for me from unknown sites, only ones that I am familiar with.

On December 12, 2007, I ordered a box set for my daughter. Today is 2/14/08 and I have received three e-mails in the last two days stating that my order was on backorder. On 1/10/07, I canceled my order and requested a refund. I received an email a month later stating that they would process my request. The email I received this morning stated that my order was still on backorder and my card had NOT been charged for this yet. The money was taken out of my account on 12/17/07. I have emailed, I have tried to call, nothing works. This is quite a scam site and I cannot believe I fell for it. I will continue to hound them about this but I feel I will never see my money back.

On This WebSite I ordered a dvd set of broderick cawfords highway patrol it said 39 dvd set early December, got a e-mail the next day, saying that my credit card was charged $162.00 once a week. I would go on that website in a live chat 2 times with marie and 1 time with someone else and they would tell me it was on back order the last time. I called this number [protected] and talked to a girl, she said it would be 2 more weeks. It had been 5 weeks on back order all ready + 2 more I told her to cancel my order and she said she had, but it would take 10 to 12 days to receive my refund and I never got a hold of anyone again, when you call that phone number now, you just get a recorded message, saying that wait for the next available person and then it tells you to try back later. I hope someone can do something about this place, it's not fair!

I ordered a complete set of the GIJOE Cartoon Series for my son for Christmas... in DEC. 2007. I was charged $108 for the 79.99 DVD set, shipping was $20 something. I never received an order confirmation or shipping confirmation until weeks later. The LIVE CHAT they offer is a joke. You'll sit for hours waiting for the operator to answer. From what I understand, the are using that service illegally and it isn't even their operators who answer. There is no contact information on their website. I emailed them several times and finally in late January, I got an email that apologized for my inconvenience (ha). I also got a BOGUS tracking number from them that claimed they had shipped through the Canadian Post. I replied to DVD Donkey's inconvenience email they said and told them I had a bogus tracking number and that I want my money back. It is now February, and still no product and no refund. They use several different names, TO DVD OR NOT TO DVD, DVD HITS, DVD DONKEY, DVD SHOP, and I am sure there are more.

DO NOT ORDER FROM DVD DONKEY! Ordered a DVD set as a gift for Christmas before I checked web to see if company was reliable. My mistake. Company misrepresented charge to my account, e-mailed me one amount then charged my credit card a higher amount. They have not returned any e-mails and phone numbers do not work. They continue to send me an automated e-mail that states my order is on backorder and they will get it out to me as soon as possible. NOT A LEGITIMATE COMPANY! TOTAL SCAM! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. YOU WILL NOT GET WHAT YOU ORDERED AND IT WILL BE A GIANT HEADACHE TRYING TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK!

I have had a nightmare with this company! With links from Ebay and TV Addicts you would think this website was ok!

I ordered Spin City complete Boxset wanting it to be here in time for Christmas. I made the order 26th of November and I printed the confirmation page there and then. Good job really as I never got a confirmation email like it said I would within 48hours!

I then tried to contact the website to quirey my order, this was quite a task with no telephone number. The email address orders@dvddonkey is not even a valid address! So I continued trying to contact them in other ways. Eventually I Instant Messaged with the support team (from a link on their home page) I was assured that my order would be here in time for Christmas however it was curently out of stock and that it would be shipped the following week. I have contacted the website several times this week and last wanting some kind of explanation as to where my order is and why they have already taken the payment prior to sending me my goods!

I wasted my time, over and over have had the same email back from 'Diasy' the mystery customer service woman. I say mystery because I have had the same email from her repeatdly. And they even confirm they have taken your money!

It shows up on your statement as DVD Shop. I have wasted £57! Please stay well away from this website it is most definatly a scam!

The cheek of these people baffles me!

I fell victim to the scam of DVD Donkey. My money was debited from my account but product was never received. This is my first step in taking action against those who pry on the consumers. If you are reading this DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!

My order was placed in January and the money was debited in January. In February I received an email stating the DVDs were on back order and would be shipped in the upcoming weeks. It is now March and I still have not received any product.

I ordered 2 box sets and paid for them via the internet. I received an email confirming the order - 196688 - and advising that the order was in back order but would be sent ASAP.
I followed up and the order after the payment transaction was on my credit card. All my email since have been ignored and now they bounce back as not delivered. Their telephone number isn't working.
The website is still operating - how can this fraud of a company be allowed to continue trading on the internet.

I ordered the Yes Dear (the first 4 seasons) on DVD, but when I never received a confirmation email that the product has been sent, I contacted them (in "live chat", by the way) and told the people who work for DVD Donkey that I want to cancel my order. They agreed, and acknowledged that the order has been canceled, and that I should get a refund on my money in 5-7 days... Well... NEVER HAPPENED! Now I'm out almost $70! I tried to contact DVD Donkey about my problem, but I never got any emails back from them... nor do they have that "live chat" anymore on their website. Figures... THEY ARE A SCAM! A GREAT BIG SCAM! I wish there was a GREAT BIG WARNING out there before ANYONE visits DVD Donkey, or any of its counterparts!

If anyone knows how I can file a complaint against them, please leave me an email. Thank you.

I first learnt of the company Dvd Donkey from an Ebay related site. I had typed in 'Beverley Hills 90210' and at the end of the search, this company appeared listing the complete Beverley Hills 90210 series. I ordered and paid for the series in December 2007, and my mastercard was debited within a few days. I was then sent a tracking number.

I kept trying to locate my order, but the tracking number couldn't be found. I contacted Dvd Donkey, by email, and then phone. But no one would answer my emails, and the phone was continuously busy. I tried the tracking order again, and this time it showed that the parcel had been successfully delivered to an address in Canada.

I googled 'Dvd Donkey' and a complaints page come up. I tried to ring the company again, but with no luck. I then knew I'd been scammed.

Unfortunately, I ordered 5 sets of DVD's from DVDDonkey.com spending almost $350. After a month, I have not received any. I have bought and sold over 300 items online over 10 years and NEVER had a problem. At this point, I am aware that I have been scammed and regret not doing a search of the company before making a purchase. I have reported DVD... to the following investigative organizations and agencies:

The National Consumer Complaint Center
The Better Business Bureau
CyberCops
The National Consumers League
The National Fraud Information Center

I have confirmed that the owner of DVDDonkey/TVaddicts is:
Michmen, Jim tvaddicts@gmail.com 1
2021 SW 174th Street Miami, FL [protected]
US +1.[protected]

The organization name is actually:
Prolexic Technologies
1930 Harrison Street
Hollywood, FL 33020

The DNS server is NS1.PROLEXIC.NET and their IP Address is: 72.52.6.89. If others can assist in further tracking the origins of the company, please let me know. I am planning to file small claims in Dade County. Their internet server is Tucows in Canada. I have reported concerns to them as well.

In 37 years, this is the first time that I have been ripped off and I am furious. I intend to use significant time and energy to pursue this costly matter. Thank you for the assistance of other victims.

I ordered the complete series of Beverly Hills 90210 for my daughter. She lost here husband a few months ago and she has since then really gotten into the show. She says it helps take her mind off of things for a while. Anyways I ordered all ten seasons like 2 months ago and have not received them. They have sent me and e-mail giving me a tracking number but when you type it in it says that that tracking number is not in the system. So in other words it is a fake one.

I ordered two box sets from DVD Donkey in January 08. I paid with my credit card. I did receive and email confirming the order and providing me with an order number. The email said that there was a delay in shipping but the DVDs would be sent ASAP. At the end of January my credit card was debited and which time I followed up on my order, I was given the 'back order' excuse.

Now all my emails and phone calls go unanswered. To my surprise this company has been subject to many complaints. I wish I would have done my research in January. They are still operating their website. How can they get away with ripping off people from all over the World.

I tried to purchase a box set of DVD's (Get Smart) late last year. I purchased them using a friend's credit card. As yet I have not received the DVD's but have been told by my friend that the money has been taken by the company that goes by the name DonkeyDVD (on the internet). We have tried to email them a few times now and did receive an email back from them stating that the dvd's were en transit. I now believe this to be false. Today I tried googling the company name and have found that there have been many complaints about this company.

Yet again, we consumers have been robbed and no-one seems to care. Governments seem to be wiping their hands. It all seems too hard. Very angry.

Ordered product on 11/28/2007 was supposed to receive confirmation within 24-48 hrs. Never received confirmation. Tried to contact support, no available means to contact company, no phone number or e-mail address. Tried to contact by customer service link but you get a big screen that covers the address, I sent the message but received not response. You get a return message that you will receive a response within 24-48 hrs, nothing came. There is a live chat option and when you get to find out about your order, without a confirmation number of course, the operator says they are looking into your account and then they stop replying to your message. The product was supposed to be received within 2 - 5 days, today is December 10, 2007 10 days later and I have received nothing. Called my credit card company they are going to investigate the claim. Also the company is listed in California, but the charge to my account originated in Cyprus. Warn everyone not to buy from this site. Also, install Norton all in one security program, it picks up scam sites before you purchase items, so you don't get scammed.

Ordered dvd television series set 10/08/2007- Sent dvd's and only half of shows were included. Tried to contact them by phone SEVERAL times. 16 e-mails only resulted in the same response, "replacement has been followed up on". (Still have not received anything). Asked to replace or refund, no response. Contacted Regina, SK BBB they stated they are working on it, they checked address they gave to them and myself- IT IS FAKE. It is the address of a government building that has been complaining to the BBB about receiving packages and complaints from customers. I will continue to pursue this as others and the BBB in North America are. Also report claims to PhoneBusters at 1.888.495.8501 as they are an anti-fraud call center for North America.

I never received my DVD order for a christmas present and they charged my account $95.32. Dean Martin Roast. There is now another website on google called ShowsOn DVD.tv who is offering the same product even cheaper. When you click on the webpage it look very similar to Donkey.dvd which has many complaints and is consider a scam. I think someone should look into the other website to make sure it legitimate. I don't want to see anyone else get ripped off. They take your money and give you no product they the website is gone. I know in my heart the other website is the same people. The system works the same when you go to order the product.

I ordered the DVD Series Walker, Texas Ranger for $249.99 with shipping costs of $31.19 bringing the total price for my order to $281.18 USD. The order was placed on February 12, 2008 and has not been received as of June 2, 2008. My email bounced back querying them about my order and all efforts to contact DVD Donkey via their [protected] tel. # have gotten absolutely no response. I am livid that these crooks can operate on the Internet and scam so many of us. I hope you do an investigation and bring charges against the appropriate culprits.
