I have gone to duval's on main street in sarasota several times in the past year. While eating my dinner with a business associate I saw their executive chef nils tarantik stomp out of the kitchen and announce to everyone he was the owner of duval's and start yelling at people sitting at the bar. None of these people at the bar I saw appeared to be loud, causing any problem or displaying any behavior out of the ordinary. My wife was with me the second time I saw chef nils stomp out of the kitchen and threatened a well-dressed man sitting at the bar minding his own business. Each time chef nils did this he appeared to be drunk or under the influence of drugs. My wife said she never would eat at duval's again. She called it a low-class excuse for a restaurant. She said she never saw this behavior by anyone let alone an executive chef at any restaurant she ate at in sarasota or anywhere else. Based on the outrageous behavior by chef nils that I personally witnessed, I would not recommend anyone eat at dual's on main street in sarasota unless they want to be threatened, harassed or worse by a violent thug, chef nils tarantik.
