Dunwoodie Travel / Failure to reimburse
My wife and I were married in June of 2008. We used Alesia K. of Dunwoodie travel to help us set up the packages for all of our guests. Alesia promised that she would comp the cost of the hotel for one of us if we used her travel agency, Dunwoodie travel. This cost totaled 479.00 for 5 nights in the resort. Alesia said she would reimburse us the cost after we returned from our trip. This comp was contingent upon our guest purchasing both resort and airfare with Dunwoodie and totaling 100 booked nights.
It has been about 8 months with us trying to recoup the comp price. Alesia K. the past 8 months led me to believe that she would send us the check and just recently has told us that we did not fulfill the required 100 booked nights. Alesia has decided to calculate "booked night" by only including the total number of room nights and not booked nights.
In total 25 of our guests reserved packages with Alesia for a total of over 130 booked nights. Each paid for their airfare and resort, but some shared rooms. Even though 2 guests may have each booked their package with Alesia, if they shared a room she is counting just the number of nights they stayed in the room and not the total number of nights each person booked with her travel agency.
She refuses to send us a check for the amount of money she promised us and I think that makes her a business person of little honor.
I would not trust Dunwoodie travel ever again and would strongly advise folks to avoid dunwoodie at all costs.
