Dunkin' Donuts server

On Saturday May 16/2009 I ordered two breakfast sandwich. Sausage, egg, cheese on a bagel. She replied differently saying “bacon … something” I asked to tell what order she was making, she replied “you talk and I will tell you are right Ok?” and was wrong of course. Ok trying to be patient with them, she makes other sandwiches. I was about to pay, and I reach there tips cup for a pennies to help her change, (I always tip them) she starting yelling that was her money, I explain I just going to help on change I will put back plus my tip, she still screaming and grab the tip cup and hold on it. I keep calm got my change, and told her she was rude to me, Oh my GOD! She was so rude that I wondered if I had accidentally offended her (though I am not sure what I did!)
She starting yelling call me names in her language, saying I was RUDE one, and that was HER MONEY, I was STUPID … and I don’t know what else, the other lady (who was preparing my order) asked her what’s going on, I don’t know what she reply’ cause was in their language, this lady came to me throw my bag on the counter (the order wasn’t the right one, and without ketchup, salt, pepper and napkins) and she yell to me “NEVER COME BACK TO MY STORE…blah (in their language) … I was in shock,
I walk to Shop Rite Customer Service to make my complain, but they say nothing they could do about it.
I left and I was thinking with myself “what’s going on with people?
US is open for so many immigrants to live in harmony in an auspicious Land, we gave them business and a dignify life here, and they act like that?
Without sounding racist; they are so mistrusting of every other race, and hiding behind the "no speak English" theme; I wonder why people from India so rude (the ones that I have come across here)? They
have no regard for personal space and will stand touching you, they also bump into you without a word of apology.
Maybe they have low self esteem, and they freeze up and make small situations awkward? Very, very sad. I always admired Gandhi for his sweetness and philosophy, but some of his people, what a shame!

Went to buy a latte and flatbread sandwich. Got latte and moved to end of line to pick up sandwich. Employee had a plastic glove on right hand, none on left. Coughed and sneezed on right hand than reached to pick up my sandwich and wrap it and hand to me all using her left hand. I could not take this so I told her and she quickly put on a glove on her left hand. I told the manager who threw the sandwich in the trashm and made me another himself than said something to the girl in spanish than she picked up a broom and started to sweep the floor. So she goes from one to chore to another and never washes her hands and has filthy hygeine habits as well. GROSS!

Dunkin' Donuts against manager

The manager (danesh) of dunkin' donuts' located on 245-01, bellerose, ny 11426, hired some of the employees who come from his native land gujrat, india. During the shift, they always talking in their native language that really disturbing for the other employees and the guest. The manager also favor those gujrati employees, for example: he make scheduale 8 hour a day for one of them on the schedule sheet but she always leave after 5 hour of her shift. The manager never let those gujrati employees make the sandwich, they just stay on the registrar, they never do the side job because of that the other employees who are not from gujrat have to make the sandwich for all of the day, she or he has to do all of the side jobs. The manager and his gujrati employees talking in their language and laughing in front of the guest. The manager danesh tell his gujrati employee to talk to the other employees about their schedule. So, the employees who are not from gujrat, india, having a very hard time working with them.

I agree with your complain because we see that most of the manager of Dunkin' Donuts' hired the employees who from his own country or from his own region. As a result they gossip too much during the shift, which bother the guest.

Dunkin' Donuts discrimination and bad treatment

My name is Noely Cordero. I was Working for the Chandan Subarna Corp. I feel like I was mistreated and discriminated by my duty manager Jayra Marmolejos. It was said by her that we (the employees) werent allow to speak spanish which is most of the eployees maiden language. I was told by the owner Chandan in a pevious meeting that we were allowed to go in to work a couple of minutes early to eat breakfast and she would tell me that I couldnt do that and if she found me there again 3 more times she would suspend me for a week. I dont think thats fair because we have the rights to eat something before we clock in for the day. She would always look for something I was doing wrong for her to scream and yell at me in front of my co-workers and customers. I am a person and I deserve to be treated as such. I will not stand here and let her mistreat people when we as workers have rights. I hope to be heard and I hope that there is justice.

Dunkin' Donuts - customer service

Today, February 26th, my daughter visited the Dunkin Donuts at Mounts Corner in Freehold. We have been customers of this store since it opened and everyone working there has shown excellent customer service skills. My daughters always orders the Chai Latte and they are kind enough to serve it to her over ice. Today, the clerk first told her that they didn't...

I worked at Dunkin Doughnuts as a baker for one month. I have a managers food handler's card and I graduated from ASU with Nutrition in Food Service Management...I have a big...big...big...big...ISSUE with Dunkin Doughnuts especially in Scottsdale, Arizona. I only worked here for one month because I was so so so so disgusted with the uneducted managers here. These managers came out of jail or something! They have no management experience. I worked at a grand opening and I was not able to clock in the computer because all the bakers names where not even on it yet. Only the cashiers! Dunkin Doughnuts does not bake frsh doughnuts for one! Second, Dunkin doughnuts is not using food safety practices on ALL READY TO EAT DOUGHNUTS. THird...THe employess are not properly trained to handle ready to eat foods. Fourth, Dunkin doughnuts is SOOO cheap on the gloves. These gloves constantly tear while employees are in constant rush without a break or lunch. They are told to rush and take no safety precautions nor taking the time to Put on Cheap gloves while your hands are sweaty and they break as you put them on! The employees have no choice! Poor Management Practices and budgets...Buy real gloves..! JEES!
THIS means that all the doughnuts are being handled by employees who do not wash thier hands and that your food is being cross contaminated by pathogens especially with some employees that they hire that have bad self hygiene...ITS DISGUSTING!
Not only that but they do not practice FIFO...They put new jelly, frosting or whatever on top of the old...K...thats a bacteria problem...
Dunkin Doughnuts is disgusting and if they cant decide to properly handle their employees or follow sanitation and food safety rules, they should not be in business. The public is at danger for the sake of thier profit only. They only care of thier profits. This is the worst food service place to eat or work at ! They hire managers out of jail...and thats how much they care...

Dunkin' Donuts store coupon was not accepted

I’m inquiring about an incident at Dunkin Donuts on February 17, 2009 at 250 Broadway, NYC location. I had a Dunkins Donuts coupon for a “FREE medium Dunkaccino”. When I handed the coupon to the cashier, he said, I had to make a purchase in order to use coupon. I told him that coupon indicates “no purchase necessary”. He replied “this is our store rule”. I just left the store without saying another word to avoid any further conflict. The coupon doesn’t say “store policy rules vary by location”.

I am very disappointed about this issue for the simple reason that on the coupon it clearly states no purchase necessary only. I don’t see why I should be given a hard time for a free drink per my coupon. You should have some type of announcement placed against the wall for customers to view regarding store or coupon policy’s perhaps that would be helpful.

Dunkin' Donuts forcing to buy before using the restroom

I was a customer who bought a breakfast combo at Dunkin Donuts at 8th Ave between 23 and 24th Street in front of NYSportsClub. I was about to use the restroom but the restroom is locked. The guy in front of me thought that someone is inside. So I asked the cashier if the restroom is available. The guy from the cashier even asked me if I bought something already which somehow makes me feel a little bit insulted. Although I said "Yes, and you haven't even give me any receipt on what I bought..." So the guy asks the key to his manager and the manager is about to open the restroom when he asked the guy whose waiting first before me if he is a customer and bought something already. The guy was pissed off and said "I'm about to buy something if you let me use the bathroom first and wash my hands..." The manager said "you can't use the restroom unless you buy something first..." Is this justifiable for a fastfood that is so busy and yet force someone to buy something first before using the restroom? The restroom doesn't even have a note saying "Restrooms are for customers only!" Or I haven't seen any policy written in the store that if you are about to use the restroom, you should buy something first. Which is more important, worry the customers who'se about to buy something in the store or worry about someone who would like to use the restroom if he or she bought something already? There are only 2 staffs and one manager on that store and people are waiting in line to buy something yet, the manager is wasting his time to force the guy to buy something first before using the restroom. So, if you want to use the restroom very badly and the line is very long before you can buy something does the manager's polciy is justifiable for a patron of this food chain?

Dunkin' Donuts discrimminiation, no water, cockroaches, etc

I am still a employee of dunkin donuts... I have been working for them around 6months, and when it comes to customer service, I know I am a great person to receive that morning coffee from. Since I have been at this location I have brought sales up 21%, I know that I did this because I was awarded employee of the month for my achievement.

Now let me start with the cockroaches, I work for the people... I am a servant of the public, and cockroaches are not what people want with there donuts... Every time I bring it to the attention of my manager he says he will take care of it... Mind the fact that when I started working for them the store next to us (Same building) was shut down for roaches and no hot water... So what is wrong with this picture... So about three weeks ago I started work at 7 am, when I arrived the store was flooded, water was flushing threw the store from the sewers, I could not wash my hands, I could not sanitize any of the coffee pots or counters, I was unable to even use the bathroom, when I called my boss at home he said he was coming in to shut the store down until the plumber was able to come, yes the manager came, and all he did was mop the floor, he would not allow me to shut the store down... When I tried to contact the general manager, he ignored me, and there was never a response. Now how is a store suppose to provide quality service when they can not even meet basic standards... Now I love what I do but I can not work in this environment...

By me writing this I hope people realize what they are buying, and who they are buying from!

There are many more incidents that I will be taking to the right people... Just be aware of who you are buying from you might just get something you did not bargain for!

Dunkin' Donuts - taking away tips from employees

I have worked for dunkin donuts for about 4 years. When I was hired I started at $9.00 an hour plus tips. I am a single mother of two and every cent helps. My tips help pay for my bills every month. Well, as of february 1 we are no longer recieving tips. They have no reasoning as to why they are taking them from us. What we do know is that they are donating...

Dunkin' Donuts rude customer service

I went to the drive thru and ordered for large coffee with 4 splendas and 4 creamers on the side and the old (FAT- sorry for the description - she wont give me her name)lady gave me Ice coffee. ANd i told her i didnt order for Ice coffee. SHe told me in an insulting manner that I need to know how to say the order..It was too insulting enough that I need to talk back and say, she needs to listen to the order carefully. SHe talked back again and tried to say insulting words and I asked her name kindly so i can complain to the manager but she shut the window and shove me away. THAT IS VERY VERY RUDE. Anyway, that is probably the main reason why she stays in that position and would most possibly stay in that position, that is, to take orders, FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE..unless you change your attitude.

Jason, you're an idiot, you get treated like crap and do nothing. I was in a dunkin doughnuts yesterday sitting there for 30 minutes, when a pakistani lady comes to me and says no more staying than 20 minutes, when I refused to go, she tried to take away my chair WTF? I didnt give it to her. She said this is my store, my business you are taking place no customer sit down, this no bring me money. Wow. Dunkin doughnuts is a franchise and obviously she didnt give much ### about her customers. It doesnt say anywhere that I have only 20 minutes to stay. Anyway, I called Better Business Bureau and right now in the middle of contacting Dunkin of America or something like that. Oh when I refused to leave, she called the cops that made me leave. I've heard they they get cofee and doughnuts for free from DD and places like 711. I guess they'll kill if needed for a free cofee and a doughnut.

Dunkin' Donuts dirty, long haired, no gloves

I was visiting my local DD for my morning coffee and a very young pregnent girl/lady came from outback. This girl was not only not in a unifrom she was wearing a black shirt that was very small for a person that was as far along as she was. Her hair was pulled back but looked as if she had not washed her hair/body for weeks. Maybe if it had been brushed it would not had looked so bad. I was under the impression that people had to be clean and in the right work clothes to be behind the counter. If for no other reason she girl should have a shirt that atleast fits her.

Dunkin' Donuts dunkin donuts health code not up to par

I purcased a bagel with cream cheese this morning with a large coffee and the woman who makes the coffee was using her arm and hands to wipe the snots that were dripping from her nose. Obviously she was sick.

Omg I was so grossed out I threw out my coffee and food and I will nver go back again.

The supervisor was standing right next to her as well.

I also think that all the dunkin donuts stores on route 99 in wethersfield are diluting there coffee. It just doesnt taste the same anymore. This was the d&d across from mcdonalds.

Dunkin' Donuts price discrepancy

I just read a complaint about the dunkin' donuts in smithfield ri and I have had the same exact experience at the dd on rte 146. I order the flatbread combo for $3.99, and every single time they try to charge me $4.72! When I tell them a mistake, invariably they say "that's what the register calculates automatically." then I get charged $4.31, although once they charged me $4.39. If ri sales tax is 7%, shouldn't it be $4.27? I've read several complaints about dd overcharging tax online - from nj to ri - and I wonder how many millions of dollars this company is making by gouging the consumer?

If you think about it, if they make $0.45 off of every flatbread combo they sell, and similar amounts off of other items, each location could be making hundreds of extra dollars a day, right?

Rhode Island used to charge 7% sales tax, but if you buy "prepared food" like at DD or a restaurant then the tax is 8%, so $4.31 is the correct cost including tax.

Dunkin' Donuts new dunkin donuts likes to hire under age workers!

This new dunkin donuts in Bridgewater exploits the employees hiring 15 year olds making them work more than 25 hours a week. Also employees do not get paid bi-weekly but whenever the owner feels like it. Someone from Childlabor needs to do some serious investigations and see how the owner treats the employees. They are racist and over-work the employees. This place needs to close down.

Dunkin' Donuts poor customer service/management

I chose to take my son to get a 'Smoothy' after school for getting some really good grades. This Dunking Doughnuts location is relatively new in the area and I had yet to visit it. So, this was my first and last time to this location.

After placing my order, I was told to drive to the window whereupon I waited for over five minutes. No one acknowledged us or took my money. Since my son was looking forward to this treat, I decided to go in instead of leave. I politely told the clerk that I ordered a 'Smoothy.' He told me she was making it. Seconds later, the MANAGER rudely put the 'Smoothy' down in the middle of the counter where I had to reach for it and then she disappeared again to the side where I can't see her. I asked the clerk to speak to the manager and the clerk told me that was her, so obviously it wouldn't have done any good to complain there.

There are too many people needing jobs and willing to do a quality job to have sorry workers as this one employed much less be a manager. What should have been a nice treat for my son and me turned into a frustrating experience because of her ineptness at how to service customers. Why she is the manager is a mystery that will most likely remain unsolved. Hopefully the correct consequence will be solved and carried out-for other customers' sakes.

I am an understanding person. Had this person been new, or young, I probably would have overlooked it, but the fact she is a manager leaves no excuse for this situation. Also, had she just simply handed me the Smoothy politely and thanked me at least, I would have overlooked it. We are all stressed out in today's world. Going to Dunkin Doughnuts should be a smile in our day. I sincerely hope no other customer has to endure this kind of bad service again from this location. I won't because I will not be going back.

Thank you for the opportunity to state this complaint. I hope it helps.

Dunkin' Donuts unclean practice

This is a fairly new Dunkin location that I pass on my way to work each morning. Sometimes I stop and get some munchkins, three glazed and three jelly. This morning I received my order, walked outside, and got into my car. Upon opening the bag, I realized that I was given three chocolate munchkins instead of glazed. I turned off my car, went back inside, and explained that I was given the wrong kind. Instead of just leaving the chocolate ones in my bag, and instead of throwing away the chocolate ones that had been outside with me in my car, she took them out of the bag and replaced them in the chocolate munchkin bin! Gross! Now, I am a clean person, and I did not happen to handle the munchkins before returning inside, but anything could have happened to them, and under no circumstance should they be given to another customer! I shall not return to this location.

Dunkin' Donuts denied use of restroom

I arrived at said dunkin donuts at around 7:57. My sister and I went in to order coffee. Two other patrons were in the store waiting. One girls was behind counter, one on the floor sweeping. I decided to use the rest room while waiting to order. It was then I was told by the girl sweeping that someone was in the restroom and that when she exited it would not be available for use as they close it at 8:00. at first I didn't process the whole time issue. I asked to speak to a manager and inquire as to why at just 8:00 I as iwas n the store and ordering but now the bathroom was closed. The manager and franchisee came out . I proceeded to explain what I was told and also explained why I was inthe store. My son, a freshman at college in Manchester was taken to the hospital the night before. I drove up from New York early monday to be with him. He was released from the hospital and resting comfortably in h is dorm. I was now getting back on the road for a 5 hour trip home and wanted a cup of coffee and to use the restroom. He denied my request because he "has his reasons for closing the bathroom at 8:00." So at 8:01 I was back in my car, without cofee or using the restroom, looking for a starbucks! What a way to treat a customer.

I just left the brockton's Dunkin donuts on North main Street in Brockton at 3:15 I was there for an hour I had a drink in the donut and when I get ready to leave I need to use the restroom due to the fact that I also take a diuretic medication and I wasn't going to make it till the next location I asked them if I could use the bathroom and I was refused and yelled at and I explained the thing and I was cursed at and told he wasn't going to lose his job for letting me do you let me use the bathroom I think Dunkin' donuts customers should think about their choices of where to buy their coffee now I will be taking this to a higher authority

I had a similar experience in lower Manhattan in february. The employee told me "no use of bathroom for customers" even though i explained I would buy something to use it (as I had done earlier that day at a Quiznos). I proceeded to bark at the idiot behind the counter, explaining that NYS law requires usable bathrooms in any venue selling food and drinks. They do have the right to refuse the bathroom to non-customers, but come on. They sell COFFEE and don't let you use their bathroom. Rest assured, if finding a bathroom wasn't top priority at the time, i would have made the employee cry.
I also have no idea if that is a management rule or not, and would like to know. What i do know is i have never had a problem being able to use the (always clean, spacious and nicely decorated) bathroom at my local independant coffee house. Which just makes me hate big corporations even more.
