Dulux Paints paint

I bought the pictured paint from BnQ. Both were exactly the same. Once I finished the first pot I opened the other to find this is a completely different colour. The dark green coloured paint was difficult to roll on and didn't show the colour until I rolled it twice then brushed it eventually turning the correct colour. You can see the state of the wall in the pictures. I feel this is completely unacceptable for a brand of dulex which has specialised in paint for so many years. I always use dulex but am now considering other options.

Dulux Paints dulux pure brilliant white gloss paint - yellowing

Hi Dulux,
I have been living with drastically yellowed wood, throughout my home.since 2016 on my beloved bay windows, doors and frames, skirting boards, kitchen cupboards, etc. Originally painted with Dulux's Pure Brilliant White Gloss paint for some time now the yellowing has got progressively worse.
The yellowing is so bad, friends do not believe the paint originally used was' Dulux Pure Brilliant White', insisting the painter must have mistakenly used Magnolia (which of course is certainly not the case!).
Unfortunately it is now so bad and looks absolutely terrible I will have to have the gloss areas re-painted.
I am very disappointed in Dulux and am shocked such a prestigious company would continue selling a faulty product... without so much as a warning on the tin.
I would be happy to send you photos of the woodwork.
I am keen to get this color back to the Brilliant White it should have been all along.
I look forward to hearing from you as a matter of urgency.

Kind Regards
Miss A.Kenworthy

Dulux Paints dulux trade weathershield

A little over 3 years ago, we had our exterior render professionally painted in 2 coats of Dulux Trade Weathershield Smooth Masonry paint in 'Labrador Sands 6' colour. After a recent minor repair to the render on the front of the house we had the repair painted in some of the paint retained for touching in. This stood out as a completely different colour from the rest of the front. A new tin of the original colour was purchased and used, but this also stood out, being very similar to the colour already on the repaired area. The original paint appears to have faded excessively in a very short time, despite the awarding of BBA Certificate 97/3383, which states that:
"9.3 There will be a gradual change in colour which will not be excessive..."
Having already wasted more than £30 on an uneccessary tin of paint, I should appreciate your advice on this without being obliged to completely repaint the whole house.

Dulux Paints dulux vinyl soft sheen

I bought primrose yellow for my very small bathroom, on the label it is very pale yellow, I am not sitting here after painting the bathroom and I need sunglasses to look at it! It's stark yellow! Disgusting! Not pale yellow! I am going to have to paint it again! Another colour, Besides having wasted my day. There was an offer if we bought two cans. Thank god I didn't! I'm thinking this was a bad batch that you are trying to get rid of! I am most dissatisfied! Heather

Dulux Paints once satinwood pure brilliant white

I have 3 tins of this batch P20284103601 04:27 I am onto the second tin and I am disappointed that it is not to the standard we are used to, it is proving difficult to call this product ONCE, as we have had to apply two coats, I have never experienced runs with this product before!
Is this just a problem with this batch?
It took a lot of trial and error to get the right product for our customers as obviously time is money, and the finish has to be of a good standard, please can you let us know if we need to source another gloss as we cannot afford to use the once range if it isn't up to scratch.
Kind regards
C&D Home improvements

Dulux Paints dulux matt emolsion polished pebble paint

I purchased 2 large cans of polished pebble Matt paint from B&Q this week - purchasing both at the same time selected from the shelf together.
I have painted one can on the living room 2 coats applied then the dining room (it is a through room) with the second can of paint it is obvious they are not the same colour, having returned to b and q today and they have opened a number of cans they confirmed the paint is distinctly different and confirm barcode and product batch codes match.
Having spent an hour in there we have exchanged the paint for 2 further cans which having tested in store and dried they appear to match.
Now we have to paint both rooms again more time and exspense is required.
We have just spent a further £13 on dust sheets and rollers to do the entire living room and dining room again.
I have added photos of 2 walls to demonstrate the difference in colour, which eliminates the possibility of light interference the walls are on opposite sides.
I have included the paper with the various paint colour tests done in store to highlight the difference in colour.
I would like compensating for additional time and exspense to rectify this problem.

Dulux Paints customer service

My partner has recently taken on a contract for a block of flats, interior decoration of communal areas, the trustees of the flats insisted on Dulux Easycare paint in Gardenia.
He has applied 3 coats of this, it is streaky and patchy in many areas. We contacted customer services, who advised, its the lighting? Then it was the porousness of the walls which are already sealed so it couldnt be that.
Then it was I wasnt coating the wall quick enough so the roller edge was drying out.

When I continued to complain and explain I am a skilled tradesmen of 30 years and have never seen anything like this, they then offered vouchers for the value of 20ltrs of a trade version of Easycare and stated that the Retail easycare product is indeed inferior and that the trade version will cover the walls properly in one coat.

I have asked for the vouchers to be sent, they insisted that they should be sent to the nearest Dulux Decorators Centre, the nearest is over 20 miles away and they say will not be available until next weds.
The issue with the retail paint has already added an extra weeks work on top, as well as having to buy more paint for the 3rd coat, now with the wait for the voucher it will be another week, meanwhile I am in limbo as cannot complete the job and therefore get paid.

I have already given an estimated liability of £450 to them, their trade rep refuses to attend the property to look at the poor finish.

Once I have the paint I then have to incur the loss of my labour for a fourth coat as I do not feel I can charge the trustees for something which is out of our control and due to Dulux selling inferior products to retail customers.

I would like to know where I stand and how I go about claiming the full costs of labour and petrol expenses at least to collect the paints from over 20 miles away

Dulux Paints dulux trade diamond matt

We had a complete bathroom refurb at a large expense, all went well until the walls were painted with diamond Matt bleached lichen. The first time the bathroom was used the walls appeared to soak up the water leaving a permanent mottled water mark. Our professional decorator says he has never seen anything like it.

The walls are now permantely marked and we have been advised they will need repainting.

We are looking for full reimbursement of the cost of new paint and labour costs.

From a very disappointed Dulux loyal customer

I look forward to your reply

Regards

Joanne Baker

Dulux Paints brilliant white non drip gloss

Having used dulux gloss paint over the past 15-20 years I have noticed how thin and poor the finish has become without having to coat doors and skirting two or three times, I have noticed this in cheaper trade quality paints but not from what was always a quality product. I can assure you after this tin has gone I will be changing to armstead gloss paint which I have found to be of the same quality and finish your product used to be, I am all for helping the planet and using certain products that can assist this but not to the expense to myself and family

Dulux Paints chic shadow

I purchased Chic Shadow Matt from B&Q, the second tin to finish my living room, this second tin or batch is in fact nothing like the colour chart whatsoever, this paint is a light silver grey.
This Chic Shadow along with the 5L tins of Rock Salt were £20 each on special offer along with a few other colours.
I had been in twice before checking and rechecking this Chic Shadow with the colour expert who even mixed up the same in wood paint egg shell as Dulux only did gloss and even this is so far out of what all the photos in your booklet colour chart, its almost trading standards case! Its so obviousley wrong that I suggest thats why these are on sale, on offer because Dulux has messed up at the factory.
Couple this with paying decoraters fee and all the preperations with clearing furniture and dust sheets etc, I am devastated by this and also desgusted my living room looks a complete mess!

Dulux Paints dulux quick dry satinwood mid sheen brilliant white

I have used this product many times before and never had an issue, although the last time I used it was a few months ago in my daughters freshly decorated bedroom and on the woodwork on my stairs. I have noticed a pink blush coming through the paintwork on both the bedroom woodwork and the stairs paintwork.
I iam really disappointed as it is very unsightly and should not be happening. I still have the tin of paint the barcode is. [protected] bought form B&Q I have also took pictures. I would like at the very least a full refund . As mentioned I am very disappointed the whole thing will have to be done again

Dulux Paints emulsion paint for walls

I purchased a 2.5 litre tin of Natural Hessian silk paint several months ago. The paint went on well although felt a little bit sticky after drying. A few weeks later I hung my pictures on the wall. The other week I took down one of the pictures and found it hard to move at the bottom of the frame. When I checked the paint had stuck to the bottom of the frame and brought the wallpaper off with it. I checked the other pictures around the room and this has happened on every one. I now have marks around the room where there is no wallpaper and it can't be touched up with paint.

I feel extremely cross that your paint has now ruined my wallpaper and the room needs decorating again.

Dulux Paints dulux endurance mellow mocha

Good morning

In January 2016 we decided to decorate our lounge choosing a calico shade for above the dado rail and because our lounge is grey and brown we chose Mellow Mocha from the Dulux for below the dado.

We expected Mellow Mocha to be exactly that: a light coffee shade. However this has not turned out to be the case. As we were applying it it definitely didn't look any shade of brown (even though it is in the brown section of the colour chart)

We tried to convince ourselves it would dry more grey which would have been acceptable but this was not the case. It is in fact lilac.

Which is definitely not what we wanted. The two tins of endurance paint cost us nearly £25 and I have pictures to support this.

If whoever names the colours on the chart has gone to Starbucks and asked for a Mocha, all I can assume is they have been given a blueberry milkshake!

Every single person without exception who has come to our house when asked what the colour is have replied lilac or mauve, or even purple!

After all the hard work decorating our large living room we have tried very hard to embrace what we have re-named 'Marvellous Mauve.'

I have bought a lilac rug and lilac cushions to try and tie the wall colour in with our other furniture but after nearly three years I still dislike it as it is not what we thought we were buying and just doesn't look right.

So we have sadly decided we are going to have to go through the chore of re-decorating. I would ask that you refund us the cost of the paint. Clearly you will not be paying for a decorator to re-paint though I do feel that would be a good gesture. If we had wanted lilac we would have bought lilac paint. We did not.

I await your reply with interest.

Wendy Hoggard

Dulux Paints all interior paints

A couple days ago I purchased a tin of paint which I selected from the colour cards to be mixed to that colour. When I got home I opened the tin and it looked nothing like the colour on the card, I have painted it on my wall and again totally different colour. This is the 4th tin of dulux paint I have purchased either ready mixed or selected to be mixed from the card, not one of the paints have come out the colour they state on the tin or the card, I'm just getting frustrated now. Dulux paint isn't cheap, the least u can do is show a true colour of what colour paint ur getting. This is the 4th time now I'm having to add colours to the purchased paint in order to get a colour to match what it was meant to be when I purchased the paint, it's not good. Thinking of trying crown paint instead!

Dulux Paints dulux matt emulsion - once in jasmine white

I am very disappointed with the coverage of this paint. It is advertised as one coat paint but despite two coats it was very poor at covering the hall walls in my flat, previously painted a pale-ish Fawn. I bought this paint as I was short of time, but the coverage of the ordinary matt emulsion was far better- I bought two large cans of nutmeg white and I am pleased with the coverage.
The Once paint was bought from B&Q in Trowbridge for £44, and I now have to buy more as there are patches that need more rollering. This says guaranteed on the can so I would like to know what guarantees you offer as I am now struggling to get the flat decorated.

Dulux Paints matt emulation paint

I have started decorating my house over the last week. From my local wickes I purchased 2 5l tins of (polished pebble) matt emulation at £22 each. I began painting over white matt emulation walls.
Firstly it has taken 4 coats to cover the white?!
Secondly we have noticed reactions on different parts of different walls! It's left lots of little bubbles, leaving my walls looking rubbish and me feeling extremely disappointed. I was led to believe dulux to be very good paint. Unsure of what I'm ment to do now?

Dulux Paints dulux frosted steel kitchen paint

We bought this paint for our kitchen at a greater expense than normal paint, believing it would withstand wiping off of stains which is how it is marketed.

However when anything gets onto the paints surface the paint wipes off somewhat and the colour of the cloth or sponge transfer onto the surface. I am really disappointed with this paint which cost us more then normal paint but also the fact we paid a painter £200 to paint the kitchen.

I am know left with no option but to pay someone to repaint the kitchen a different paint which will leave me out of pocket, and iis a major inconvenience having had a new kitchen fitted. I would not use this paint again.

Dulux Paints perfectly taupe matt paint

I have always bought Dulux paint for at least the last 20 years to decorate my house. I recently purchased the above paint from B and Q. Although there was an offer on the paint I still paid £20 for a tin. I have given up with this paint, the walls have been prepared in the correct manner and still the colour is patchy. I have used a paint pad, paint brush and as a last resort I used a roller. It's the worst paint I have ever used for coverage and even tones. The colour is nothing like on the tin, it looks more like a lilac grey than a taupe(brown). I can honesty say that it's put me off using any more Dulux products. I have spent the best part of 3 days trying to make the walls look even. I recently purchased a cheaper brand of paint and I will be honest when I say, it went on the walls like a dream. Not patchy and a very good even coverage on all walls. In future I am inclined to stick with this brand as I found it to be a far better quality than Dulux and cheaper by far.

Dulux Paints dulux silk emulsion

I painted my sons room in m/arch 2017 using your silk emulsion. I have started to repaint his room yesterday 06/08/2018 and to my surprise/amazement the paint on one off the walls was peeling off. In all the years i have used paint from yourselves i have never experienced paint peeling off the walls like paper.

it has made an easy job into a nightmare as we now have to peel the rest of the paint off the walls before we can repaint to avoid leaving marks. This is not an easy task as i have a 2 year old son running around and i am also pregnant.

i don't have much time to sort the room before the new baby arrives.
i have added photos and a video of the paint peeling off the wall and how easy it is coming off
