DriveTime Automotive Group warranty

I have had MANY issues with my 2010 vw routan. Which mind you I am so upside down on I don't have a choice to sink dollar upon dollar into it... 1st about 6 months in... radiator hose blew... a $400 hose... cooling issues are covered...but not a hose... a week later I have to replace my front brakes... (mind you it was in the shop right after I bought it for the rear) fronts "were fine " once again not covered. That was about $300, Then I'm miss firing like crazy. Another $500, they cover fuel... but guess what! Not coils or injectors that I had to replace. So that brings me to today... my catalytic converter needs replaced, along with oxygen sensors. Also my fan needs to be replaced... we are looking another $1, 400. So I have now put in over $2, 000 ON TOP of my $440 a month car payment! Add me to your lawsuit on this horrible horrible company!

DriveTime Automotive Group toyota highlander suv

I want to be included in a class action lawsuit against them.. they sold me a vehicle and the first several months the check engine light kept going on.. took it to their warranty shop and was told it was this that. Come to find out when I had to get it smogged less than a year later because the tags were due it wouldn't pass.. took it to their warranty mechanic and it turned out the catalytic converter .. they said that's not covered.. it became my bill to fix... they overcharged me completely.. took advatage of me completely in every way possible!

DriveTime Automotive Group false information on my credit report

Terrible company! My experience with them is the equivalent of a thief robbing your house then suing because they had to pick the lock. I purchased a car from them in 2009, a used Suzuki Aerio, great car by the way, when our finances were at a low ebb and we needed a second vehicle. It needed brakes almost immediately, but good transport. For four years we paid off our payments faithfully, by then we were in better shape, and purchased another vehicle and let my teenage daughter drive it. We got a big tax refund and paid off four payments at once in 2013, leaving us less than a year left on the car. WE THOUGHT! They listed it all as ONE PAYMENT then notified us that we were late the next payment(we thought it was a computer glitch), then 2 weeks later repo-ed the car. Okay, my daughter had just gotten into some trouble(rare for her, but bad enough that we let the car go as punishment), even though we had less than a year to pay. Cut to 2018, I check my credit score and find an $8000+(at least 3 times the amount we had left to pay) that Drivetime has sold to a collection agency TWO YEARS AFTER re-poing my car that I had paid TWO PAYMENTS ahead on, after never notifying me that they thought I owed on the car, (and I didn't, they owed me $ 600 for two payments they kept when they stole the car) and it is killing my credit! NEVER will I pay this off or darken their door again.

DriveTime Automotive Group 2013 chevey equinox

I am a single mother raising 5 children alone with only my income to support them. I have always purchased and owned vehicles because I didn't want a car payment. May 2017 I went to drivetime because I do not have the credit needed to go anywhere else and I wanted build my credit so I could later. I immediately told the salesman vernon about me being a single mother of 5 and how my vehicles are usually older so they give me problems and I just couldn't handle or afford having a car that I constantly had to get fixed. I assured me they had nice reliable vehicles and we began looking, I did not like anything on the lot and stoop up to leave telling him I was going to go to another dealership I knew to see what they had but would be back if they didn't have anything. Well he stood up and asked me not to leave yet that he had to let the manger know and then the manager came over asking what I was looking for saying they had other lots. I said I wanted a cross over, black interior, touch screen, and back up camera. We began looking through the computer and saw a few vehicles but hard to tell from pictures whether I like them or not but found one that I though was pretty much what I wanted but it said fleet and I said well couldn't that mean it was a rental but vernon said no it would say that so I paid the $400 to have it brought over and came back the next day to see it. I was beautiful on the outside but inside I really didn't like a whole lot and it did not have the touch screen I wanted. After test driving we came back and I started looking over it again and noticed a residue on the inside windows which looked like another tint was added and removed. Vernon started looking and trying to get it off and ended scratching a window and next thing I knew I have 3 other people all messing with it and talking about someone named omar and the female ended up taking it to omars to see what could be done. Meanwhile vernon has already begun all the paperwork and transfer of my license plate and I am feeling uneasy but feel like I cant say no at this point. She brings the car back and the windows are clean but the scratches are still there and vernon says he will do something about it and get back with me. I end up purchasing the car and the extended 5 year warranty which all im told is a 100 deductible and the first 30 days everything covered no deductible and vernon tells me that they have many shops but omar with auto medic is who I should go to because he will handle the paperwork for me. After a few days driving it the engine light comes on, there is a weird noise when starting, the usb port isn't working, and the hands free is pretty much useless except for answer calls. I go back into dt with the issues and one employee hands be the silver rock card which is the warranty people. I then take the car to omar a couple days later and omar says sorry I do not have time today you can bring it back anytime next week and my guys will go through it. I come back the following week and do not see omar but other guys working who say again that I will need to come back the next week. Again, I come back the following friday and speak with 2 guys working about my issues and they listen for the weird noise and finally hear and the car began to idle strange and act like it wanted to shut off but again say I need to come back monday and drop it off so they can go through it and find all the things wrong. I tell them I am at my 30 days and after this I will have a deductible so one of them takes me in the office and begins typing on the computer asking me all the issues so he can start the claim for me and have proof I was there within the 30. Well I was unable to drop it off because I could not find anyone to give me a ride to work and pick me up or help with the kids. One day im driving in the pouring rain with wipers on full blast and suddenly they stop mid air. Well when I bought the car vernon said there was 1 small little recall that was no big deal and I just had to take it to chevy when I got a chance and have them change the small part, what he failed to tell me was that this small part would cause the entire windshield wiper system to become inoperable as I was driving in the pouring rain! Now I take it to chevrolet for the wipers and at this point the vehicle had begun a new problem where it would start shaking while stopped and begin lunging like it wanted to drive on its own. I was complaining to the guy at chevrolet about everything and he luckily knew the problem was the power train and I was a few week shy of the mfg warranty lapsing so they fixed that problem which also stopped the strange noise when starting. As time progresses one thing after another just starts compiling, the headlight has to get replaced, the brakes are about done, the a/c starts blowing warm which I have now charged 4 times and is warm again, the passenger window doesn't work from time to time, the driver window makes a very loud scraping noise from time to time, the driver seat belt locks up way to soon to where I cant even grab the door to close it, the engine light continues coming on and off, the tire monitoring system is broken, and who knows what else I cant think of right now or just don't know yet. I take the car into dt last saturday and tell them all these things that I have just written and say I hate this car and do not want it. The guy who happened to be the one who gave me the silverrock card in the first 5 days is the one im dealing with, he goes to take the car back to problem but stop him and say 'I do not have a vehicle to leave here, I want to discuss our options and want a different car' he says he has to call customer relations and will be a moment. Well he comes and gets me and puts me on the phone with customer relations behind closed doors (obviously so none of the possible customers can hear me) and he tells me there is no record of me ever having issues with the car or starting a claim. He says I have to start a claim with silver rock and have the car taken in to be looked at but will not tell me one way or another whether or not they will switch it out for another. I ask him if I am going to be charged for this and he said there is typically a diagnostic fee but they absorb that. The next day I go online to silver rock and it say drivetime customers click here and it takes you to a map to find an auto shop and then you just go there like I already did 3 times! I go to pepboys on 41 and the guys says that he doesn't have a specialist there which is what I need so I have to go to the one on cortez but by the way I hate dt they are nothing but rip off artists. I then go to pepboys on cortez and tell him what I am trying to have done and the problems and he says "those require diagnostics and they will make you pay the $250-300.00 in diagnostic fees and will still make you have the car fixed" I say well I have the warranty and they said they will absorb it and he says "well yeah, they make you pay it and then they will take 9 years to pay you back because they are scam artists". Now this is coming from their own damn auto shops! So now I am either saddled with a car I hate and is a complete lemon or I have to go buy another car and spend another down payment and still have them come after me for this one. Obviously omar at auto medic is in on their scam and its totally obvious plus they all kept saying how omar took care of all their cars and personal cars and oil changes. I am even willing to write off the money paid other than not paying another down payment. All I want is for what I asked for "a safe and reliable vehicle for me and my children".

DriveTime Automotive Group 2009 gmc acaida

I purchased a 2009 gmc acadia from drive time, inc, in november 2016, and was financed by bridgecrest, inc. They recommended that I purchase the extended warranty offered by silver rock, inc, and I did.in september 2017, I started having problems with the vehicle acceleration. I called drive time about the warranty, and they referred me to silver rock. Silver rock had me take my acadia to midas. Midas stated that the timing chain was bad, and I needed another engine. Silver rock refused to honor the warranty. Now i'm stuck with a vehicle I can't drive but owe over $15, 000 on an auto loan. After receiving a carfax, it reported that the timing chain was replaced in march 2011. I also discovered that drive time, bridgecrest, and silver rock are all the same company! I advised them I will not pay for vehicle that is covered under warranty that they will not honor and I can't drive. Drive time is truly a predator!

DriveTime Automotive Group unethical behavior

The worst company ever. I signed a contract for 18, 000 and have made a total of 7500 in payments and they are saying I owe them 16, 000. Every time I call I always get the rudest agents... Always. They do not care about the customer and they have no sympathy what so ever. They sold me a faulty car now after having it taken to the shop and now Chrysler has to have a look at it because this particular model was not supposed to be sold according to Chrysler. I understand I went to a bad credit place but seriously they do not care to help at all and treat the guest like complete garbage. I tried to take my car to two different dealerships to trade it in AND two different times to try and refinance and that did not work out, when I called Drive Time all they said was and I quote, " You should not have signed this contract then." Seriously? What an amazing company...

DriveTime Automotive Group a lemon that I purchased on august 26, 2017

I purchased a 2013 Chrysler 200 still in my 30 warranty. Come to find out my car is having transmission and suspension problems. It took 4 shops to finally figured out that it was these problems. And they still want me to take my vehicle to one of their warranty places instead of me take to a Chrylser dealer to have the problem looked at.Of course if I take it to Chrylser they said I have to pay the $200 deductible. Why should I have to pay a deductible when my car been in 4 different shops . I want out of the contract. Im not happy. And I'm not finish. Who wants a car with TRANSMISSION problems. I wouldn't recommend my dog to get a car from DRIVE TIME

DriveTime Automotive Group drive time - do not buy a car from them

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM DRIVE TIME. IT IS A SCAM. Interest rates are horrendous. Customer service is non-existent. They call me and give me attitude and sound accusatory of my complaints.

I bought a 2012 Honda last April. There were 100s of complaints on oil consumption online. It stalled on me 3 times in 18 months. O ring, spark plugs, etc. Needed to be replaced. It has excessive oil consumption, oil changes every month with top offs every other day. What a horrible experience.

The woman who helped me initially left the company two days later. There was not any recourse of action for the progressive and continuous problems I had for this car.

DriveTime Automotive Group car financing

I am getting screwed over and scammed by Drivetime. I bought a 2012 Chevy Equinox in 2014 from Drivetime/Bridgechrest for $17, 895. My family really needed a car and our credit was not the best, Drivetime claimed credit did not matter and they could get me into a reliable car. We had a trade in, which was on it's last leg and about to fall apart so we were desperate to get into something newer as my wife was pregnant at the time and we needed an upgrade. The finance plan is the worst scam and I feel 100% taken advantage of. I looked up the bluebook value of car a few months after buying and it was worth $7000. THEY CHARGED ME $17, 895! 10, 000 more than bluebook. On top of that the interest rate was 20% APR. I have all the documentation. So they charged me $34, 842 dollars for a $7000 car. It is currently Aug 2017 and I still over $15, 000. My payments are $495 a month which is a huge burden and with a small family very hard to keep up with. They refuse to change anything or work with me regarding my payments. to date I have paid them $19, 842 for a car that was worth $7000. Can anyone help me get out of this? I would like to be added to any lawsuit against them. They are scamming good people out of thousands of dollars. This is not right!

Add me to lawsuit's against Drivetime/ Bridgechrest

DriveTime Automotive Group chrysler 200

1 year ago my sister financed a car from drivetime as a gift for me for my birthday. I make the payments on it. Everything was great at first but then the car pretty much started to fall apart. The windshield wipers stopped working. The windows wouldn't roll down the throttle body sensor tore up. None of which were covered by my warranty company (averex) anyway 2 weeks ago the alternator went bad. Got that repaired at my local pep boys. I was driving down the high way In the middle of traffic when my car suddenly just shuts off. No engine lights or anything came on. It just shut completely off. I had it towed once again to the nearest pep boys where they declared engine failure, which whooooo big surprise my warranty doesn't cover. This is a $4, 000 repair. Which I as a college student don't have! Drivetime is being completely unhelpful. I have cried, I have begged I have pleaded to no end with these people to please allow me to get another car. I even told them I didn't care if they went up on my monthly payments! Nothing! All I keep hearing is deferred payments this & deferred payments that! I'm not going to make payments on a car I can't drive. I'm not entirely sure where or how they expect me to come out of pocket with 4, 000 to replace the Engine. This has truly been a horrible experience. My sister is having to drive me 2 hours back and forth from work everyday. It's ridiculous! I've been going around and around with averex and drivetime for a week!

You pay Drivetime and Bridgecrest reports this to your credit as a late payment and this drops your credit score. They are extremely unprofessional. Dont waste your time or money on this outfit!

DriveTime Automotive Group sales

I've emailed back and forth with the customer service department at Drivetime for the past week or two. The lady I emailed with encouraged me to contact my local drivetime and that they would get me in a vehicle. Given the local drivetime is an hour and a half away, I was leery of just showing up to find that things wouldn't go well. I called the St. Louis drivetime and explained my situation. He said to bring my info and my wife's info up there and we could get a minivan or SUV using both of our info. I was concerned since she had just purchased her car from drivetime in February so I was surprised that she could qualify for another car again so soon but he said it would be fine and we needed a van so we made the trek up there today. We had to get a special babysitter since my son has special needs; it's a big deal. We get there and apparently I had called another St Louis location because they didn't know what I was talking about with regards to my info and such. The man who helped us was nice though and looked into it all. He said no, my wife couldn't be on a new loan at all since it had only been a few months. Okay. Then he said he couldn't count the adoption subsidy of over $1600 a month that we receive because it comes in my name and my wife's name. I explained that they didn't use that towards her income when she bought her car but I guess that didn't matter. He did tell me I could do a lease vehicle and there were two I could pick from. They weren't at his location but at another St Louis location about 45 minutes away. He had me and my wife go with another employee up to the other location to pickup one of the two vehicles. To say they were in rough condition would be a gross understatement. The first vehicle smelled...bad. The door handles in the backseat had been chewed up from what I'm assuming was a dog. The seats were stained, the headliner was stained, the exterior looked like it had been beaten and scraped up. To top it off, it made a horrible beeping noise when we tried to leave with it which caused us to have to stay while someone figured it out. We looked at the other lease vehicle and while it initially looked okay, it too was stained up and somehow was missing the center console lid amongst other issues. I couldn't see paying the over $12K asked for either vehicle so we had to make the long 45 minute trip back to the original location with no vehicle. The original salesman was busy so we stood there for a few minutes thinking the manager (I assume that's who he is) that sat there watching us would offer some sort of apology for the condition of the vehicles but instead nobody said a word to us.
I'm assuming there's a lesson to be learned here somehow but I don't know what it is yet. I paid over $80 for a special babysitter; spent most of my day going to, from and all over St Louis, and left feeling embarrassed and stupid for having tried to buy a vehicle. That's not exactly the experience I had hoped for.

DriveTime Automotive Group drive time equinox issues

Purchased a 2009 Chevrolet Equinox from DriveTime in Sanford FL - The car only had 53k miles on it and now months later is having continuous issues. First I began having issues with the steering shaking and the car "dropping" when I shift into reverse etc. Now I have had the engine mounts replaced, transmission mounts replaced and the repair place is checking other issues as well including the transmission.
Why do you continue to sell vehicles with issues like this? I've been dealing with customer relations continuously and I am about ready to have them come take the car or I'll drop it off on their lot. This vehicle is horrid who checks your cars before you sell them?

DriveTime Automotive Group property taxes

As of today, drive time has not paid the personal property tax on my 2007 Toyota Camry, which was due as of March 1st.
I went to go get my property tax waiver this past Friday 4/28/17 and was informed by the Saint Louis County assessor's office Supervisor, in Clayton Missouri, that DriveTime has failed to pay their bill so now there are late fees and fines assessed and they are negligent on their responsibility. I cannot get my tags until they pay it.
So I call DriveTime, held on hold for 16 min, spoke with a supervisor, who argued with me for 30 minutes, insisting that the Saint Louis County assessor's office is wrong and that I am responsible to the pay property tax owed on this vehicle. They are not paying it!
When I asked the supervisor how do I pay property tax on something that's not in my name, all he could say was that's a good question 😡 my lease agreement clearly states I will have to reimburse DriveTime the property taxes that they paid.
So, as of today I'm driving on illegal tags because of Drive times negligence and lack of accountability.
Not only that, on the Bridgecrest website as of three months ago, a balance started reflecting, which had never reflected before, only a payment due. So I never knew how much we owed and how much we've paid and never received any statements even though I've requested many times. The balance showed about $2xxx approximately left But, as of this past Saturday, its up to $6xxx! How does that happen? BC DriveTime is a Total scam, predatory lending company compiled of liars, and silver tongued salesman!
Stay Away! DriveTime is nothing but trouble from the customer service, the dealership sales people and corporate! My car had issues since the first day and they were even a month late on getting us our plates initially! Plus there was $700 in repairs that had to be done by Pappas Toyota within 35 days of getting this vehicle, that was PRE-existing, so their "so called 32 Point inspection" is yet another lie and they tried to fight paying the bill but Pappas Toyota told them that there was no way that we had done that damage so there was no way that they could deny paying it.
I am seeking a lawyer because DriveTime is in breach of their contract now and I am not going to be taken advantage of like every single other person on this page, you will be hearing from my lawyer.

DriveTime Automotive Group 2006 e-350 mercedes benz.

My name is Kenneth Wright [protected]) [protected]@gmail.com. I purchase the above vehicle Apr 2014 n it was problematic from the time I pull off the lot as I was over charged as well. I kept telling them something was wrong with the engine in which they told me I was under warranty n the engine will be fixed n covered under warranty. I took vehicle several times to their workshop suggested by Drivetime. They kept telling me nothing was wrong even though my engine light was on n a burning coming from engine. They told me I could not return vehicle which I believed n needed the vehicle to n from work. They kept telling me it was a sensor n it was no big deal. I had to get a new engine as it was bad like I thought as Drivetime would not fix carb day it wasn't covered under warranty. I've had so many problems with this vehicle n heard so many bad stories about Drivetime. My credit wasn't the best as I was working on it n could not afford to get another car. When I lost my job n could not afford payments they stated to me they had a hardship program where the payments were reduced but that never happen n they charged so much interest n late fees as I tried to pay them as much as I could. The last straw my car continuously breaks down so I decided to return the car to them. I don't need this on my credit as I have a job where you have to maintain good credit

DriveTime Automotive Group 2011 chevrolet malibu

DRIVETIME,

I purchased a 2011 Chevy Malibu from your company a couple of years ago. Last year, my transmission went out. I needed it replaced. I was out of a car for a month and a half. I went through Averex to find out that you do not do loaners or give rentals for the inconvenience. You do rental reimbursement which means I would have to pay EVEN MORE MONEY to get a car. The rate for the reimbursement was $3000+ for that time frame and you only cover $29/day. That is another used car that I could have purchased full out from someone else which is ridiculous. The dealer recommended that you guys get a NEW transmission from GM and I would have a lifetime warranty on it to AVOID these problems. You guys recommended the least cost efficient way and sent out an USED TRANSMISSION. Once the work was done, I had to pay a $100 deductible for something that was beyond me.

On Monday (10/24/2016), my transmission went out AGAIN! I had to take it to the dealer AGAIN, One AGAIN, I'm out of a car that I am paying YOU for. I haven't received a loaner or rental AGAIN for the inconvenience which is unacceptable. I help make YOU rich and make my payments on time. The service is terrible and FUTHERMORE, you insist on sending another USED TRANSMISSION! At this point, I'm furious! My child is sick and the temper is constantly dropping outside. I am forced to rely on public transportation which made a tremendous impact on my work and school. My car is currently sitting at the dealer and I'm paying not to have it. You are taking my hard earned money and don't care about how it effects me. I should not have to pay another $100 deductible for something that YOU REFUSE to hold up on YOUR END. I would like for you to communicate with me and give me a call. If I'm not satisfied THIS TIME and have to be forced to take legal actions, I will be doing so.
