Driveline Merchandising Services Awful awful company

The only positive point of working here is flexible hours! The management is atrocious and ignore any questions you may have. You only train for one time maybe 2 hours if your lucky, poor Pay you will not get compensated for the 40-60 miles you drive sometimes one way. I didn't get paid for the alloted hours I worked and you will not get paid overtime. You work at dollar general with planograms your lucky if you or the dollar general manager can even find them. Don't waste your time seriously it's bad.

Driveline Merchandising Services - Employee

While checking out at the Dollar General in Fayette I was disappointed in employees lack of customer service skills. As well as the Driveline Employee that was also present. I have been in that store numerous times and this is the second time where I have been in the situation where there is a line of three or more customers at the self checkout, the DG...

Driveline Merchandising Services Your driveline employee

Your driveline employee that was working on Friday July 28th at 1:45 pm in ElDorado Arkansas at the Dollar General store with the first name of Crystal and has blonde hair got seriously ugly with me. I had made a comment to the cashier that I know personally that how they had a mess in the floor with her stating yes they are redoing our shelves and products. And I looked at my cashier friend and commented it sure is a dam mess. This crystal that works for y’all bluntly came out getting as close to me as she could stating yes it is sure a god dam mess and this made me angry I do t not appreciate anyone using gods name with cuss words and I told her do not speak to me in that manner and she begin screaming what the [censored] j you gonna do about it [censored]. I am a 65 year old woman. I don’t tolerate any one speaking to me in this way. I turned to pay my cashier friend for my two items and she pooped off and said [censored] his [censored]. It was unprovoked. I have the witnesses of these store employees. The name working either her theirs to make her leave. They knew she was in the wrong too. She doesn’t not need to work inside stores and ba e no respect for that stores customers. I will not go to my favorite store now of dollar general if I know she is in there. I can do with out her ugly mouth.

Desired outcome: If you have no consequences for your actions against a 65 year old lady that is also crippled then youll do people any way you sit fit. She sure doesn’t deserve that job when she holds no respect.

Driveline Merchandising Services Driveline Retail as a whole

I've been involved with this company in some capacity for quite awhile. The pay is low ($10/hr start with some employees not getting raises in over 10 years of working there). Mileage is "as the crow flies" with the first and last 20-40 miles on you, but only $0.20/mile. Anyone who works this type of job had better hope they have another means of income as you will absolutely destroy a vehicle in an attempt to make any money, all while actually costing you to work there.
The company structure is a joke to say the least. One woman in particular is going to bring the company to their knees single-handedly. She's an absolute horrible woman who will dote on her "special ones", even when others' performance is much better. She expects a 40 hr week in an 8 hr workday, and if you don't bend/break to her every word, you WILL have hell to pay. Countless DM's have quit or are on the verge of quitting simply because of her. She has turned the company upside down and shaken it so badly that no one really knows what is going on currently. HR, District/Regional managers are so mad and confused at what's going on, I'm amazed that there is any progress made at all daily.
Numerous merchandisers hate their DM's due to the fact that 1 in 10 will treat you like a person, but if the DM were to get caught showing any sort of compassion, they will be reprimanded quickly.
What could be a thriving business is being driven into the ground by a woman who seems to rule by an iron fist with her own personal vendetta against anyone who she feels isn't pulling their weight…which is absolutely unachievable by any standards.

Desired outcome: That some serious restructuring occur

Driveline Merchandising Services Unethical professional behavior, ineffective training and assistance, racial microaggressions.

Ranging from July 1st - July 13th - Unprofessionally fired without warning, notice, or a explanation after being subjected to subtle racism and very clear discrimination.

I would like to file a professional complaint regarding the Pulaski location in Chicago, for Target's Distribution Center. The staff of the Driveline department is extremely unprofessional and has poor structural skills. There is no proper training for people coming in from temporary agencies which results in management (Particularly, Meghan) reacting very poorly. To provide context, I have been professionally trained to work in warehouses and had never heard of being told to clock in first and then retrieve my vest, but because it was what I was told to do by the Driveline's staff-- the people handing out vests and uniforms, I did that for about a week before I was flagged down by Meghan yelling "Get that girl in the black sweater. She does this everyday" to which I was rewarded with a very casual and disrespectful remark about how I was committing time theft. I explained that I was instructed by Driveline's employees, (not temporary hires) to do this and she then for the first time, gave me insight on how the order of operations were maintained.

Pod leaders typically at this location take a "You know what you're doing approach", and typically pair new hires up with people who have been there less than a week. This means that skills such as box assembly or learning the proper measurements are self-learned and then applied to a very fast paced environment. More often than not, pod leaders become frustrated with their teams' efficiency on this location and instead of providing a visual or verbal explanation of how to properly assemble, they result to threatening to send you home because you're not working at their preferred pace. Furthermore, supervision varies from pod to pod and you aren't allowed to choose a pod leader who understands and can commend your work ethic. You are forced upon a first come first serve basis and are often paired up with pod leaders who have never seen you work. I was accused multiple times of not working at all, having cleared out and assembled over 300 box shelves ranging from sizes 2-4 on my own. Tom, who has taken the reigns on managing order of operations threatened to send home myself and another worker on my second day because he'd stepped away to supervise other pods, came back, and didn't realize we had finished the row we were working on and had moved on to start the task in a separate row.

Furthermore, reflecting on pod leaders and their professionalism, Pam made a very particularly backhanded comment about how black women dress and carry themselves to me because I had changed my hair and she made a point to say that she couldn't recognize me.

I truly believe this mannerisms in addition to small racial micro aggressions from pod leaders led to me being backlisted from not only that particular job site, but the entire Driveline company as well. Once I noticed my shifts were being cancelled, I seemed to recall watching someone else get turned around from coming to work one day but not being granted an explanation on why he was no longer allowed to check in. I fear that me asking exactly what I did to get pulled and perhaps trying to come to an agreement about proper supervision and training would've resulted in me being escorted off the premises and I don't feel that's the way a professional team should maintain.

I would love to be unbacklisted and permitted to work at another Driveline location. For now, I will be making other temporary agencies aware of the gross and unjust work practices of that particular location. I would however like to add in that pod leaders such as April and Stephanie are incredible pod leaders. Not only do they maintain a organized, neat, and fast paced assembly line, they jump in to provide guidance and education when they see that someone is new and struggling. I would very much highly recommend those two pod leaders be the ones promoted to management on any future jobs, as they were two very efficient and organized leaders who were also being treated poorly by the men on staff.

Thank you for reading and I look forward to your response.
Sincerely, Jasemine Miller.

Driveline merchandising is NOT an entry level job for those with no experience. When I started 3 years ago I already had 25 years experience in retail merchandising, got some onlne videos and worked with another rep foe about 3 hours and I was still pretty lost for the first month or so. You really have to be willing to spend some time on your own to read thru project instructions, sometimes several times. I guess it made sense to whoever wrote them. Sometimes the instructions are vague, not updated from previous projects, or have errors. You have to be able to figure it out. Now since I already had a lot of experience I am able to be successful, but in 3 years I can't count the number of reps in adjoining territories that I've seen come and go. (I know because I usually get a lot of extra work picking up their stores until another walk in off the street gets hired.) They are usually so desperate for help they hire just about anybody. I've also seen a lot of really good reps leave for better opportunities. Inconsistent hours (just the nature of the beast) coupled with low pay and no raises or benefits results in high turnover and loss of talent. ut doest care. I stay because I really love the work, my clients, and it's not our household's primary income.

Driveline Merchandising Services Fraud Alert

I googled these people before signing on with them. Class Action Lawsuit August 2014. I had already started the paperwork process before googling. Come to find when it came to signing documentation, payroll sheet says pay rate $10/hr when over the phone I was told $13 even though in the text back and forth the person representing this company says it was $12.50. I have docs and texts so I'm not making this up. I ask for documentation stating the pay rate show $12.50 before signing on and I was told to have a nice day. I can see why there is negative feedback on line.

A bad manager can take a good staff and destroy it, causing the best employees to flee, and the remainder to lose all motivation. Now having said this I will invite the district mgr and region mgr of northeast pa to read these reviews. I'm sure No one from upper manage mentioned reads these

Driveline Merchandising Services Working for no pay

I started working for this company a month ago. They suppoused to pay every 2 weeks, but they don't. They pay once every 2 months! They suppoused to pay $9.00 a hour but they don't. They pay $1.00 or less a hour! You are suppoused to stock stuff in a certain amount of time and if the time runs out, you have to leave it as is. I had to work at General dollar store from 1 pm until 8 pm and they won't pay me for it. I work for 4 8-hour weeks for 1 paycheck of $100.00! When I came home, and looked at my time sheet, they gave me lots of work to do but gave my paid hours to someone else that didn't do the work that I did! When I complained, They sent me a termination notice and erased my payroll so they made sure that I don't get paid one red cent. I also got harrased and insulted and yelled at by the Manager in Dollar General because she wanted a white person working there instead of a black person. I have never been called so many horrible things and cussing words in my life. I just kept my mouth shut and did the work that I was suppoused to do while she screamed obscenaties at me and yelled at me about how worthless I was and how I will never be anything in life. When I finished I left and she called Driveline and the ordered them to fire me and lied about how I cussed her out and attacked her and I went in her office stole her trash can and threw it across the store which was a lie because her office was locked. There were no customers in the store they will never be any customers because she keeps running them out.
Do not work for Driveline Retail! They make you work like a dog and pay you very low wages. It is not worth it! I did not go to college and get a Degree in business Administration, Computer Programming and Computer Information Systems for this! ProPrositutes makes way more money that this on the streets!

Driveline Merchandising Services Run from this company - they are BAD

Run from this company - I worked for them several years and they were fair. Then they came out with a new mileage - drive time policy that pays you nothing. I drove 80 miles round trip in the mountains and spent 2 hours driving and I was compensated $1.80 . So it cost me money to work for them. I am glad I discovered this early. They will tell you they pay you 24 cents and time but you can be the judge. I was really taken for a fool. So be wise fellow merchandising people - run run run from them. And watch your checks.

Driveline Merchandising Services Run by idiots

I worked for driveline for awhile, and at first it seemed legit, and i was receiving very a small amount of compensation for my merchandising services. I continued on my schedule and continued servicing my stores, and then one day I got online after putting in long hours after working my first job.(was working about 16 hours total that day) and when I logged onto their site to report, it would not let me. I called the district manager, Carolyn Patterson, who informed me that all of my jobs had been re-assigned. I never recieved a call or email notifying me of this. Also, I was told that EVEN THOUGH I WAS THE ONE WHO DID THE JOBS, and had the managers at the stores that I serviced to confirm, she told me I would not be compensated for my work, AT ALL. I am a very hard worker, always have been, and it was a slap in the face. She is the new regional for my area, the woman before her was competent and I really enjoyed working for the company while she was my DM. Beware of committing time to this company, or relying on it as a supplemented income...because to put it short and sweet.."they really screwed me!"

I got hired on before a guy that lives about ten minutes from me, and was promised a store. Low and behold he gets the store, but I lie closer! It wasn’t until a month in I realized I was lied to and was only hired as a helper. When I messaged my DM I was told that the store she promised me, she had already hired someone for. And what sucks most? I did all the work any time I helped him with long projects.
It’s bs. They lie to you. They don’t respond. Give no training. It’s a [censored] company that needs better people to overlook it, because the ones they have now are a huge JOKE!

I’ll also add that they’re giving him an additional 3 stores. I had to get a new job because being hired as a “helper” only gave me a job maybe once every month.

I just hired in about a month ago. Found myself attempting to do jobs without anyone to show me how. No training given. Just told to follow the instructions on the work order and use the app to report it when finished not being shown by anyone how to do that either. When I'd call my manager, who lived in a different state over an hour away she never answered her phone. So I'd leave voice and text messages for her to rarely but occasionally call back after a couple of days. Last week I had 4 ice cream freezer resets for Wal-Mart. It is supposed to be done with a team of 5 people. My first one had 3 of us assigned and who showed up. My second one had two, myself and one other. The trird, no one showed up, but me. And the last one I ended up doing by mysel. It took almost 14 hours. And found that my manager made me team leader for the last two, although there was no team for me to lead. Keep in mind I've only been there a month and with still no training or anyone to show/tell me what the responsibilities are espically with this new "promotion". There is more but I decieded after a couple weeks into it to look for another company. I actually turned this one down because I started with Driveline.
Well solved my proplem. I start orientation next week at Wal-Mart. Guess my work impressed someone.

I worked for Driveline for just over a year. The entire time I was treated like crap. I was asked time & time again to work for stores outside my territory & with no additional compensation. My last month with them I was sick for 2 weeks straight. Instead of getting someone to cover my work my District Manager - Terri Miller let the work pile up & then it was my fault that work was so far behind. One day when I was outside I called up my regional manager - Zach. My husband was 20 feet away & heard him yelling at me for not doing my work. That I was putting Terri in a horrible bind. He demanded to know how much I was going to work Friday, Saturday & Sunday to get my work caught up. I told him absolutely none since Sunday was our wedding anniversary, Saturday was Sabbath & I've never worked on Saturday & Friday was my prep day around the home. I asked Terri once how a person with much less experience than me could get paid so much more than me. No answer. I only quit just under 10 months ago & they are looking for rep for a 3rd time since I've left. Driveline treats their employees like crap & expect them to stick around.

As has been stated many times now. Go work somewhere else.

Communication is horrible at the corporate level and district level. The company is just horribly managed, if you can even call it that.

And the pay just isn't worth all you have to do. Lots of which is not even considered as part of your paycheck. Like reporting things, printing things, and just dealing with the stores' employees and managers.

The job really is a joke, and I honestly don't know how it keeps going.

I just quit today, and I've wasted over a year of my life that I can't get back. Just happy it was more than that.

I agree flame fingers, I have worked for this company for 9 months and there has never been a problem. My projects are with DG, FD and Walmarts, never has any of them not had the components for me to do my job nor have any of the employees of these stores ever been rude to me. I have a wonderful District Mgr, who always answers my calls, text and/or emails. When I call for Field Support they too have no problem with helping me.
Now, concerning my pay, I gets mind...if you work more than the time that is given, then you need to know how to neither input it correctly when doing your payroll, or you need to send an email to your DM so that they may help you with it. Everyone I have met that works in Michigan with me has no complaints with Driveline. If you need a job that you are looking to make a career out of and earn income that is going to support your everyday needs for you and your family, well then go some where else, cause it probably wont pay you enough to do that, but I have worked for other Corporations for many years and I'm getting older and don't want to punch a clock any more. This is a Mon-Fri job, no fancy clothes I have concern myself with and it not punching any clock...I have met a lot of great people and I have fun doing my work. So, for those of you out there with your complaints and are disgruntled employees or ex- employees, find out everything that can help you with your projects and how to reach out and express yourselves first. And for some of you, well, maybe you might have some legitimate complaint's and I hope your new job is better. I like what I do for Driveline and what they do for me.

I agree with everyone that thinks Drivline is a joke I have been with them for 6 months and they owe me over 20 hours My dm is Stephanie Ryan as well. She tells me to send her the amount that was over on time aloud and she will get it entered . Well I installed a new greeting card rack with another and it took 10 hours. That was on a Thursday and I sent her the message in the floor mat she wanted and I got a return message saying it was going to get entered . Then the next Saturday I had another team project that was a total of 7 hours and sent the email for time over and she never replied . The cut off for the pay period was Saturday so this 16 hours will not get on the pay it should of . I also have had many complaints from Family dollar about her sending out reps that should not even be on payroll. I had one ask me to ask Stephanie if I could do a could hair dye set that was over due . When I talked to Stephanie she told me the rep that it was gave to reported the store closed. Then she told me if asked if I wanted to that I could do it and send her the time.. Hell I cant even get pay for things on paper Now today might be one of the few days left at Drive line I accidentally posted a double pic and I am on my last strike . I have called Stephanie and emailed her to delete but she don't care about her employees thats why drive line has 6 or so add on NARMS list and on Craig's list . And not to mention the amount of printing they have you do . So BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY You Have to pay them to work for them in one way or the other

I just recently had issue with them. worked almist a year with no oroblems until my dm left. the new one was a nightmare she would delete stuff from my portal and tell me i didnt confirm it. butwhy would i waste paper and ink to print it. so she started stalking my portal. So I had it out with her told her that the old dm better come back since she cant handle it. Then I emailed her and the regional mgr stating its harrassment and all she could say wasthank you. but it all stopped and now she is gone no more issues. new dm is great.
