Drive Dynamics / Dynamic Franchises poor customer service

I originally went with Drive Dynamics to find a replacement driver when I moved to another area of Edinburgh, and this instructor was perfect. After paying for the introductory £99 for the first 7 lessons (3 lesson to be reserved for when you take the test to make you stay with them), he gave me the full set of 7 lessons in fact and taught me well, and came to every lesson. At the time, I though they were great.

But when I moved back to London, I was put with an instructor who kept cancelling and reshuffling lessons, although taught well. Things were great until he decided to stop returning my calls or refund my 3 lessons (not including the introductory lessons). Drive Dynamics did nothing to chase him up and took ages to match me up to another driver. They had passed me back and forth between customer representatives and all of them made me FALSE yet convincing promises to phone back or deal with the problem, but it only ended up prolonging my matching me up with another instructor. They had lost contact with this instructor and did not have any way to chase him up for money. This instructor's name is Steve Benjamin.

Then Desmond, the next driver, cancelled the 2nd lesson on the day after I had been waiting 25 minutes with no word and after texting and calling him. Then he moved the lesson to the weekend and was 3 hours late on the day again when I told him to call it off. He has still not refunded the other two lessons + three lessons (for when you take your test) despite my asking him. I doubt if Drive Dynamics have chased him up or did anything useful, even though the customer representative promised to do so.

They matched me, took their fee and did their MINIMUM to help me out and passed me from one representative to another.

I have only a few months until my theory will run out, but now I am so put off from learning to drive, I don't think I'll bother until the next time I feel like being messed around by driving instructors.

Hi the easiest way to get your money back is to write to the director Beverley Midgley and advise her she has got 7 days to refund or you will raise a formal complaint to trading standards. They are very well known to TS so they normally respond to that. If they don't then contact TS and they will do it for you - good luck x

Drive Dynamics / Dynamic Franchises not giving refunds

I had phoned on Wed and paid £150 for ten lessons in an automatic car the girl said somebody would contact me that evening to book my lesson's which nobody did i contacted them back the Tues asking what was going on the girl said the instructor had been on holiday and he would phone me which he did straight away, he asked if i had, had lessons before i said no just when i was 18 i had gone in my dads manual car but didn't like it he then said because i had driving experience i had to pay more which i refused as i said i am 35 know and being a manual car once at 18 hardly makes me an experienced driver and when booking the girl didn't say anything.I phoned the booking line back and explained she said she would explain to the instructor and contact me back straight away but as the instructor and i had got off to a wrong start i wasn't keen on having him as an instructor but went with it.The girl never got back to me so on the Thursday i phoned customer service but the phone just rings then cut's you off so i phoned booking again explained what had happened said i hadn't one lesson or signed a contract i had no commitment with them and wanted a refund she text me an email address for customer service.To cut a long story short i have been emailing and phoning for a refund but just keep getting fobbed off saying there are no managers available or the lady who does refunds is not in.I lost my temper and told them i was going to a solicitor and consumer right and demanded a refund there and then, a manager come on the phone i explained yet again and apparently she is looking into my refund i just hope i get it back as i had a baby 8 weeks ago and this is stressing me out and costing me time and money, i do not think customer service exicst's as you cannot get through this company is a scam and something needs to be done about it.

i paid 177 pound for driving lessons followed by a driving instructor calling me to book a lesson in 4 weeks time. after several calls to drive dynamics saying i wanted another driving instructor they kept saying they had an instructor in my area that would call me back only to be given the same instructor again that was going on holiday for two weeks. i wanted my lessons earlyier so i joined AA driving school that could fit me in that week. i called drive dynamics and emailed them to get a refund only to be told no refund will be coming back. so i told them i would get in touch with a solicitor. i also asked them to mail me a copy of there terms and conditions and policy agreement where it says in black and white no refunds. drive dynamics said to me in one email that all there other instructors couldnt fit me in for a lesson in 6 to 8 weeks. do not join drive dynamics there instructors stink as one instructor said to me well you go and do it and put the phone down on me.

Drive Dynamics / Dynamic Franchises rude, arrogant and unprofessional driving instructor

I inquired on the phone regarding their driving lessons and their offer- they guy who is from the booking department seems to be nice salesman and very good when he was talking about their instructors and their car and the offers that they have and realised better than my other company that i am using and cheaper as well. so i was convinced to pay over the phone where as i said i will pay online but he said he will do it now and gave him my details and i paid the administration fee of 4pouns to consider it is not a good offer for the beginning but i didnt mind because i said to myself at least i will only pay £75 for another 8lessons it is still cheaper I asked for a ford car to use for my driving lesson and he said he will arranged that for me. and later at night i received a txt message from the instructor and asked me when i am free for my lesson i said tuesday and he said he is only available on wed, thur, fri and sat. I asked him I would like to take a test in two weeks time if it is possible he said it depends on me if i can drive and have lessons from the past i said yes and agreed that i will take my lesson on wed when he is available. the day came and he was 10 minutes late and asked me about what i have been doing i said i failed my test and he said he wants to see the copy of my test so i have to go back to my house and get it then went to his car and asked me for my Provisional licence and i gave it to him my ID with the picture and asked me for my paper one I said I do not have it probably in my other bag in my other place and he said if that is the case then you will not be able to have lesson today- with that word makes me really angry and i said ok fine and he started to make comment and provoked my anger he said that I might have a points in my licence i said i do not have any points I do not drive a car unless i am with my professional driving instructor and he said how will i know i do not know you and i just said to him ok fine i will not have a lesson and he said thats why you failed and as i left his car he shouted to me thats why you failed 3 times and i just said to him so what?.
i rang the company and asked for a refund but he said to me he is from the booking department i asked for the number he gave it to me but i did not realised that it was on the website, he also gave the customer service email address, but anyway i rang and operator answered and hanged up i did it for 3 times and still the same so to my frustration i rang again the booking department this time he was listening to my complaint but i considered that it is their strategy and you will never win with them he said he will tell the customer service to contact me and read my email as i said to him i sent 3 emails and still no confirmation he said it will take up to 7days to get a response. the following morning i rang them again and asked for an answer another person from the booking team gave me another number to contact same 10p a minute and it i the same operator answer and then hanged up so i rang her back and complained and she transferred my phone call to the customer service - the lady was not nice and was not listening to my side he keeps on defending the instructor and told me that i could not get a refund under their terms and conditions, I said to her your instructor should have told me that i should provide my paper and photo ID for my first lesson but he didnt and I was not even aware that I cannot get a refund with my money and i did not have any terms and conditions with them as they didnot provide it to my receipt.

I think this company should not be in business they mislead their students and the contact number for their customer service doesn't work and if you are desperate and frustrated to talk to them you cannot reach them but they are still charging you for ringing their number.

there are lots of bad comments about this driving company and I believed that it is their way of CONNING innocent people.and I hope they will be investigated

Report drive dynamics and their instructors to dvsa
I Paid for an intensive driving course for my son paid in advance drive dynamics booked test for 02 sept 2014. My son had only had 3 lessons by this date i had to cancel his driving test. This company very dynamic at taking your money, but not so dynamic at providing the service you paid for. I am currently taking them to court to get my money back.
If you cannot afford to take this company to court can i suggest everyone to e-mail a complaint to padi@dsa.gsi.gov.uk or adireg@dsa.gsi.gov.uk
I do not believe this company should be allowed to trade, and drivers not abiding with dvsa voluntary code of practice should be suspended.
I believe code of practice for a driving instructor should be compulsory not voluntary.

with enough e-mails sent to above emails will hopefully prompt dvsa to do something about this company and their instructors.

Have started court action against drive-dynamics/kankan 30/01/2015 will let you all know how I get on, I am expecting it to go to county court this way I hope it will expose this company and their instructors for what they are doing by taking peoples money without providing the service they paid for.

Drive Dynamics / Dynamic Franchises unorganised, rude and false!!

I too have had a terrible time with Drive Dynamics. Paid up front for the 10 lessons for £99 and didn't receive a lesson for over 2 weeks. After phoning them several times I just got told the instructor would get in touch, but he didn't. After 2 weeks I phoned up to get my money back but conveniently the instructor had sent a text message with lesson details, which I still haven't received. I spoke to a manager who was rude and refused to help. I have also tried to ring customer services over 20 times and can never get through and wrote to customer services but still haven't had a reply. After writing on their facebook page, my comments just got deleted and ignored. it has now been over a month and still haven't got my money back. I have reported them to DSA and am just trying to tell anyone I can to stay away from them as I don't want anyone else getting ripped off by them.

Drive Dynamics / Dynamic Franchises not reliable at all!!

When I called to book driving lessons for my husband, I explained that we had bad experience with another company because they kept giving dates to start the lessons and that never happened and that I did not want that to happen again with them. I was assured that the instructor would contact us in 48 hours but that did not happen. I called again I was told that the instructor would definitely contact us in the afternoon and again that did not happen. I called again and was given the excuse that the instructor is in hospital, which if true, they should have known about before and have arranged for another instructor to contact us, to keep their promise.

I did mention when I booked the lessons that if we were not contacted in 48 hours, I would have to cancel the lessons but was not told at all that the lessons were non-refundable. I spoke to customer service and they were not helpful. They asked me to email them and I did but still have no reply!

dont waste any more time emailing them. They dont reply and have a no refund policy in the office. Go straight to trading standards or if you paid by credit card try claiming the money back from them. good luck

Hi I join drive dynamics on Thursday 4th April and paid £26.50 for a taster test and was told someone would ring me in 24 hours after 24 hours no one rang me back so on 5th April I rang back and was told to wait 48 hours after 48 hours I rang back to be told the instructor I was ment to have left the company and they would pass my details on to another instructor and that they would ring me back after 24 hours no one rang so I rang back and was promised some one would ring me that day and never so on Thursday 11th April a week later of paying I rang up to say can I have the money put back into my account as all they have done all week is lied to me and they have told me to get my money back I need to put a complaint in on this site look forward from hear back from you many thanks Lisa

Drive Dynamics / Dynamic Franchises paid for lesson and no one rang me with appointment after a week

Drive Dynamics / Dynamic Franchises lack of driving, poor service, never on time

i am not happy with service, my lesson were booked from july and since then iv only had 6 lessons everytime iv tried to rearrange another lesson i can not get threw to her or she dont reply to my text messages. i feel like i am forced to cancel my lessons all the which i have had to do a few times. also i did want to learn to drive in a automatic car but my dad was convinced to take my lessons in a manual, even today he tried to get them changed to a automatic but they have not got one. he was told to email you to get a re fund because i have now got to try and find another school with a automatic car.

Drive Dynamics / Dynamic Franchises franchisee struggle with work

Dear Franchisee please avoid drive dynamics and do not sign a contract with drive dynamics they are false and just take your money. I had a very bad experience with drive dynamics. The are so sweet before the contract signup - once you sign that contract thats it they dont want to know you. How ever the best way to work as a driving instructor is get your website up for only £50 and pay google ads like £10 per week which will generate 20 customers. Do not signup with drive dynamics. I am better off now with google adsense. Now a days build a site is easy there are alot of driving school templates that you can purchase for £10 readty to go. Please i urge you to copy paste this complaint in to blogs. i have started to list on blogs and forums to help franchisee to avoid Drive Dynamics.

Instructors if you have worked for drive dynamic please raise your voice and support this complaint. I also will open a forum on drivning schools to avoid. I will also advertise and contribute into advertising ads to drive many instructors how to avoid scams and how to open your own websites for only £10 with free hosting and running google adsense. we do not need to fall for traps like i did

Drive Dynamic are a total scam total lie. Read the contract that they mention which they do not fulfill.

You are absolutly right its the same for us instrutors also they are unprefesional once they have your cash thats it im suprised they are still trading . They have ruined many instructors reputation as people link you to the company i still get it today and i left them last year but what people say about the company is not good which reflects up on us as instructors because its a repution thats on the line. Keep chasing them for the money they will refund you if not take them to court they do not stand a chance with all the bad press anyway good luck all the best

Absolute terrible. They are quick to take your money. They do not have enough instructors to the volume of sales they are doing. They also have no idea of how busy the instructors are and they will allocate to an instructor who will not call you back because he's max'd out. Eventually, you will get through to him and hear this same this and will be back to square one. I have now applied for a refund. It is impossible to get any acknowledgements from them to any of your emails/letters. I was told today that they will send my request to refunds department and it will take up to 48 days to offer a refund. Absolute joke. Please do not sign up to these jokers. If you are like me in an area they do not have many instructors you might has well kiss goodbye to your money.,

First of all, I am very upset with the way I have been treated in this company. The instructor is frequently late, terribly unprofessional, stops to put petrol right after picking up me (despite coming late) and uses lesson times to pick up her kids. After paying £150 upfront for lessons, I had to wait for a long time and finally decided to call the instructor myself despite being told I will be contacted within a few days after payment.

After having the lessons, she said I could book the test as I was ready. I booked the test and was taught how to do a parallel park 20 minutes before the test! Of course I failed due to lack of preparation. She then claimed that she doesn't understand why I would fail and asked me to book another test date. I did so. Only to find her missing after the first test. I texted her numerous times but did not get a reply, and finally had to go with another instructor in the last minute.

I called the Drive Dynamics team and spoke to a representative regarding the awful experience I have had, but was turned away with no apology and was told that I would receive an email to fill up my feedback- which I have still not received.

I have wasted my money and time with this unprofessional company.

I booked a block course for my grandson and he had 3 lessons, the driving instructor spent most of the time on his phone and was very 'off'' with him, I asked for a different instructor and was told i'd get one but after 4 weeks of calling the company, and being on hold over 30 minutes every time, I was told on the 5th call that they wouldn't be providing another instructor and I had to take it up with the one they'd given me, who I cant get hold of, I have been in touch with DVSA and trading standards but they cover their backside by making the contract between driving instructor and pupil, they don't get they crap then

Booked lessons in June, Instructor was awful asked to drive to a cashpoint to pay for lessons up front, even though I had paid for 10 hours. When i called them to complain they said i had to use 10 hours on the week of the test. They never sent a 14 day change of mind form for me to sign. Reported them to Trading Standards. They are a scam! Do not use

Absolutely disgusting company, the worst I have ever had to deal with. I'll keep this short as it is beyond me and feels totally helpless at this point - I paid £100 in OCTOBER. They told me twice that the instructor would be in contact, *shock* they did not, after 4 weeks waiting I asked for a refund... Since this they have told me they will be refunding me three times. Three times I have failed to get a refund. I have been making calls since December regularly and also writing emails which never get a response. The last few times I have tried to call, they let you wait in a queue for nearing an hour and then cut out when you get to position two. Absolutely disgusting. I then tried to call the line for new customers to pay and book new lessons and SURPRISE, that allows you to get through.

THIS COMPANY HAS BASICALLY STOLEN MY MONEY AND WILL NOT REFUND IT OR GIVE ME THE SERVICE I HAVE PAID FOR.

Totally unethical. Should be closed down.

The directors are Alistair & Beverley Midgley Mcdonald but don't waste your time trying to contact them - an audience with the pope would be easier.

Things you should know: All this information can be found by google search and Companies House. Its not a secret or libelous

1. Drive Dynamics - Previously know as Kan Kan Limited
2. Sanctioned by the ASA for false advertising
3. Appeared on Anne Robinsons Watchdog then went into liquidation a week later.
4. Now operating a "phoenix company" same staff, same office, same website, same facebook page, same directors but with the new name Dynamic Franchises Ltd. If you ask the staff they say they have "restructured"
5. Owe a huge amount of money to HMRC.
6. You can complain to the liquidator if they have taken your money, not provided lessons and wont refund you. The liquidator will investigate incompetent or fraudulent trading.
5. Driving instructors are also complaining about non payment and lack of students in huge numbers.
6. Trust pilot and google reviews have been swamped with fake "good" reviews - they are hilariously gushing and obvious.
7. Tell everyone, your bank, watchdog, trading standards, the official receiver and fraud hotline. They will be gone soon

We booked 10 lessons for my son in Bacup Manchester but when the insructor arrived, he took one look at him (possibly because he is black)and decided he wasn't going to take him for lessons. we called the office for refund but the still refuse to refund the money, even though he did not take a single lesson. They are a big con and once you pay through money, they will never refund. please be warned, DON'T use this driving school.

Drive dynamic is a scam i booked ten lessons no one contacted and when i ring they are bloody people...rude and terrible customer service. They give wrong e mail for refund and did not replied. It was very upsetting. I strongly recommend please do not book your lesson with this fake website. They did not refund

Drive Dynamics / Dynamic Franchises terrible instructor

The driving instructor my son was given was terrible, was always replying on what parents had been doing with him in past week, not good enough. My son could never book lesson direct with him always had to text to book next lesson but took 2 - 3 texts before hear anything. Didn't know area and never took him into towns only back roads. We have been in contact with Drive Dynamics and been told we need to contact instructor, easier said than done. We have phoned instructor and left messages but does not reply and have text him 3 time still no reply. We have also sent email to customer [protected]@ukankan.co.uk as instructed by drive dynamics but still not hear anything. My sons only had 3 lessons if you call them that, and we want the money back that he is due. Mrs S Prater

Drive dynamic are the worse driving school in the uk. Their service is soo bad. Around 3 months ago I did block booking with them they still havn't contacted me back. When I called their customer service they don't even pick. I left more then 10 messages and I didn't even got any reply back. I don't even know what to do anymore. My advice to anyone who is reading this will be never book any lessons with drive dynamic.

Same problem here, Paid for my lessons and no calls from the instructor yet, its been close to a month

Drive dynamic terrible company they have no customer service at all today I phone them to refund my money coz they fail to give lesson on time but they lady over the phone had very bad attitude problem I don't recommend any today to go with them I think this is uk worse company to hire for driving lesson

I can't see why it says that the sales team provides top quality service or bein talked through the process before you meet your instructor! Well I have been waiting over a week for good service and to be notified what the hell is going on! My instructor didn't bother ringing me, it came back to " oh sorry that instructor didn't cover your area we will get another one to ring you today" now my so called "new" instructor hasn't bothad to ring either! I have rang up 7 times now and emailed twice an every time I get told " your instructor will ring you before the end if the day or they will ring you after a lesson" .
I phoned again on Wednesday and was told the guy called tony who allocates the instructors to he customers he was going to ring me! I'm still waiting. I have now got so sick I'm booking with BSM and I've asked for my money back.
