Drive Dynamics / Dynamic Franchises mistreated by company and instructor

Firstly I would like to highlight that Its nearly been 1year since I had my driving lesson that I was extremely unhappy with, my partner and I have tried to make a complaint numerous times about the bad service we occurred on October 2015 but due to the very poor compliant system we have completely been ignored. The basically owe us £180 but refuse to pay or even address our complaint. Emails bounce back, the compliant line is non existent and any member of staff we speak to refers us back to the same methods of communication that don't work. Also at the time we were in the 14day cancelation period. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THE DRIVER IS RUDE AND THE COMPANY REFUSES TO REFUND! It is now the 2nd of September 2016.

RE Complaint about Driving Lesson – 22nd October 2015

To whom it may concern,

I wish make an official complaint about Drive Dynamics’ instructor and request that I am granted a full refund so that I can learn to drive with a new company. Furthermore given that my partner, shares the same driving instructor, he also wishes to change company and is jointly writing this for a refund on his account.

We spoke with Paula Whitehouse from the complaints department today and she has advised us to write an email of complaint within our 14 day grace period, this being the 14th day.

On the 22nd October I had my first lesson with the instructor, the experience was so traumatic that I broke down in tears, left the lesson an hour early and walked home from the car to relieve myself of the stressful lesson that had ensued.

Chronology

4.50pm

I receive a text from the instructor requesting that we change our lesson time from 6.30pm to 6.pm.I agree despite Driving Dynamic’s 48 hour rule.

6.30pm

At the start of the lesson the instuctor asked me if I had previous driving experience, I told him that I had driven for 3 weeks before I crashed my car 5 years ago. The instructor sniggered, shook his head and laughed. This made me feel uncomfortable and I explained that I crashed it going downhill, pressing the gas instead of the brake. Again the instructor shook his head in disappointment and told me that I couldn’t have crashed the car this way.

6.40pm

The instructor asked me in a patronising manner, what I was going to do about my theory test? I told him I intended to take it, he probed further enquiring how, I said using a test kit. He asked when, I said before my driving test. This theme of mocking questioning would continue throughout my lesson.

Following this discussion the instuctor began to ask what I knew about the basics. During the conversation it was becoming clear that he couldn’t understand my accent.

Our first disagreement occurred when the instructor asked me to point out where the line at the top of the road was in relation to the car. I told him the line was beneath the mirror (after finally understanding what he was asking). Thinking I said “behind the line”, the instructor was unsatisfied with my answer, He alighted the vehicle becoming increasingly exasperated, and began to show me physically where the line was. He began to point to the line, gesticulating with pointed fingers saying “here is the line, it’s beneath the mirror” he continued to patronise me speaking in a slow paced tone as if I didn’t understand English. I agreed with him and said. “I know it’s beneath the line”.

The instuckor continued to shake his head outside the car and again when he re-entered the vehicle making me feel stupid and nervous. He then began to laugh at me. I tried to placate him by making light of the stressful situation, something I shouldn’t have to do to a tutor, and expressed that I thought it was a miscommunication attributed to our accents.

7.pm

From this point the instuctor began to criticise my driving whilst the car was moving saying No, no no your steering is all wrong, to my errors, this made me feel even more anxious and fearful of driving incorrectly, he even went as far as to tell me “I can see why you crashed your car”. His manner was consistent and he continued to laugh, mock and shake his head at my expense.

A running commentary is not, in my opinion, the best way to teach a new driver or instil confidence.

7.15 -7.30

During our drive down a side road I didn’t press the brake in time he said. “Why didn’t you brake?”

I said. “Because I wasn’t sure which pedal was which”.

He laughed and sighed. “Everyone has an idea where the pedals are”.

I became increasingly more angry and said. “No you do, I don’t”.

Communication had broken down and I asked him if there was a problem? the instructor replied judgementally. “I don’t understand why you don’t get this”.

This was the last straw, I was so upset that I began to cry. I opened the car door and left him shaking his head laughing and decided to walk home.

In summary:

The lesson I had with this instructor has left me feeling scared to drive again, this experience was highly stressful, I felt patronised, belittled and judged. I am a teacher myself and would never make my pupils feel inadequate or incapable of learning. Whilst the instructor clearly has the driving knowledge I do not believe he has the communication skills or driving empathy to coach others towards positive goals, especially those new to driving. I found his manner arrogant and disrespectful, speaking to me like I was a child throughout my first lesson, laughing, shaking his head and framing his questions in a disapproving, critical custom. Most of all he appeared to lack the passion, patience and skill to communicate effectively.

At no point am I saying that my driving was without fault, I told the instructor that I felt nervous and he did not help me and appeared to judge my ability, mockingly, as if I had recent driving experience. This was the first time I had entered a car since I crashed 5 years ago and expected far more support, not laughter, distain and questions of why I couldn’t complete certain driving practices.

For the reasons outlined, I would like to request a full refund of £100 so that I can re-start my lessons elsewhere. My partner would also like a refund of £80 so that he could also move as there is no way that he could continue to take lessons from this person and Driving Dynamics does not have another driving instructor for the SW17 post code.

I would appreciate it if you could reply as soon as possible so that we can draw a line under this unfortunate experience. We intend to write a review on your website following your timely reply.

Drive Dynamics / Dynamic Franchises failure to give refund

My daughter purchased a 15hr intensive course for £314.95 on the 31/7/16, she was told an instructor would contact her within 7 days. This never happened. Contacted customer services on 8/8/16 requesting a full refund as no instructor was available, was told that the request had to be done by email. An email requesting the refund was done immediately on 8/8/16. Got a ticket number straight away, I rang them 2 days later to be told that they had a backlog and would have to wait 14 working days to receive refund. Called again on 24/8/16 to be told that they would send our information to a manager for action, again no response, called again on 26/8/16 to now be told that their system is down and they can't retrieve our details, this is the worst company ever and trading standards should get involved in the meantime all we can do is hassle them everyday.

Drive Dynamics / Dynamic Franchises refund still not authorised after 1 month

My name is Alisha Johal B34 7HT, I payed for beginners lessons 10 hours for £114.95, this was payed over the phone on 27/07/2016, the man I was speaking to said that there was instructors in my area, but the next day I got a phone call from the same man from Drive Dynamics telling me that there is no instructor in my area and they have made a mistake, the man asked me if I wanted to have a refund or am I willing to travel, at first I said I am willing to travel and he said well look at postcodes near your are you can travel to, the man come up with B21 I said yes because I thought it was close, until I got home its Handsworth- this would mean me catching a bus into town and back out just to have a driving lesson, bearing in mind I work till 5:30 everyday which I refuse to do, I thought having a driving lesson there suppose to pick you up from my house but obviously not.

Than I phoned up on 30/07/2016 saying I would like a refund and this time spoke to a lady she said yes that's fine but just phone back on Monday because the finance office is not open. So phoned back on 01/08/2016 and spoke to a gentleman in which I said I would like a refund he said there will be an email sent out to you and someone will call you.

I received this email on 01/08/2016 at 13.30 saying someone would call me within 24hours I called back the day after the man said he will get someone to call me. NOW 10/08/2016 I Still have not received no phone call of no one from Drive Dynamics telling me about my refund how long its going to take and what happens.

I read up on your website that it takes 14 days to refund I put my refund in on 01/08/2016 so I expected to receive my money by 14/08/2016.

Still that wasn't the case after multiple phone calls and customer service saying someone will get in touch with me finally somebody did and the lady said that my refund will be back in my bank account on 23/08/2016, there is no money in my account so I phoned up again complaining about well your obviously lying because my refund is not in my account.

WORST COMPANY EVER.

Drive Dynamics / Dynamic Franchises driving lessons booked no instructor contacted back yet more than a month

I did booked lessons with drive dynamics driving school their team member called me on 7th of july stating they have a instructor on my area which they gave me the name of the instructor promised me that instructor will be in touch with me within a week and i could start the lessons soon, i did asked them again as they did disappointed me before, they said for sure i will get the lessons started soon, after a week i didnt hear from them i called them on the customer service contact no waiting for good 20 min which is been charged when i spoke to one of the cutomer service team member she looked into my quiery and said they will contact the instructor soon and get back to me in few days time, after few days when i havent herad from them i called them again and told them i really dont want to wait i want my refund despite this she said she will speak to the instructor and get back to me on 3rd occasion when i called them i was really frustrated and ask them for refund they told me to email to drive dynamics customer service it took good 25 days days for this, i emailed them and i got response saying they can't refund me as i have reached 14 days cancellation policy, i have emailed them again i did called on the customer service line and i never been advised about anything like this everyone don't have time to read their terms and conditions when i alraedy made a phone call they should consider this and pay my refund back, they really got very poor communication between them as well very bad customer service, they should improve this to be honest.

Drive Dynamics / Dynamic Franchises driving lesson - please avoid this company

AVOID this company! Unless you want to pay and not receive the lesson because they are having internal problems with the instructors.

I had booked my test for sep, and since calling to book my lessons in June I told them about my test.

After 3 weeks my instructor finally called, then on the day on the lesson he didn't show up. So I was chasing him to reschedule. Had one 2 hrs lesson in beginning on July. And that was that!

Since then no lesson! Instructor is annoyed at Driving Dynamic for not paying him, the company is useless at finding or solving the problem. I send 6-8 emails asking for a solution no reply.

Customer service team are so bad they might as well just say hi I'm a scammer and I don't really care about your money or test.. Call them at 9am you get put on hold for 1hr min. JUST AVOID THIS COMPANY

Now I am having to change my test to later in the year!

So avoid this company. Tell you family, your friends even your enemies to Avoid this company.

Drive Dynamics / Dynamic Franchises scam

I was told my driving instructor would not be available in my area for 6-8 weeks after purchasing the 10 lessons £99 so I asked for a refund which I was told would be completely fine.
When Facebook messaged I am told to ring to enquire a refund and when ringing I am told to email to enquire a refund.
Two weeks later, I still have no refund, my emails are being ignored and I have been hung up on twice after being on hold for 10 minutes each time. Absolutely appalled that a company is run like this and (from other reviews I've seen) are more than happy to keep peoples money without providing them with a service. Completely unprofessional.

Drive Dynamics / Dynamic Franchises unethical, thieves. no lessons supplied, no £260 returned. emails and calls not answered. ma

I I bought a block of 10 lessons £260. A week later I was told they couldn't provide an instructor and I would get my money returned. A month later having spent literally hours trying to speak to them on phone, the line going mysteriously dead when I ask for my refund, unanswered emails or responses that are just inconclusive, useless and only designed to keep stalling me. I have received no refund.
I am disgusted at their attitude and rate them as dishonest thieves.
I will continue to chase them on this as the lessons were my son's 18th birthday present and I can't just let £260 slide - plus I need to pay the new instructor.
Please don't use Drive Dynamics - they don't deserve your hard earned money.

Drive Dynamics / Dynamic Franchises customer service

I am absolutely disgusted by the service I have received by this company.

I purchased 10 lessons over the phone on the 29th April. I was told I would get a call back within a week from an instructor. 5 Days later, and still no call, so I rang your team, and they apologised, saying it was usually 7 working days, and someone would be in contact soon. I called 2 days later, only to be informed that there weren't actually any driving instructors available in my area.

The customer service representative was very understanding, and begun the process for a refund immediately.

Since then I have called 3 times, each time being promised that my request was being "rushed through" and I was a "priority case"

On the 19th May I was told that the money was going to be in my account with in 40 hours. It has now been almost a month since my first call and there is still no sign of my money.

I spent 1 hour on hold just trying to get through to customer services.

Im not only pretty annoyed that I was sold lessons when the company didn't even bother to check whether they would be able to provide the service or not, and were more concerned about taking my money than customer service, but the sheer amount of time and effort I have had to put in chasing the company for a fully justified refund is just ridiculous.

There is just no level of customer service whatsoever, not even so much as an apology for their mistakes.

Drive Dynamics / Dynamic Franchises awful customer service yorkshire

I booked a slot of seven lessons for £99 this morning I spoke to a young gentleman called Daniel he assured that the seven lessons would be a good idea since I have my practical test in less than eight weeks ..
not half an hour went by I had another phone call explaining I'm not entitled to the deal I just paid for as my test date was so soon ! ... so I was sold a block booking under false pretences, I phoned back and instantly had a young lady with such an awful attitude telling me that I hadn't explained what I wanted even though they record the phone calls and I clearly stated that my test was in seven weeks hence the reason I only wanted seven lessons !,
when I asked to speak to the manager Paula I was confronted with a barrage of abuse the attitude was disgraceful I was shocked to hear how they deal with little situations like this ... so now I have cancelled the whole thing and requested my money to be refunded... These people are clearly in the wrong line of work as their customer skills are non-existent...

Drive Dynamics / Dynamic Franchises bad service / scam

I am extremely unhappy with the company as I bought a package with them (15 classes for £275.00). Worst off if they allocate a instructor that's it you are stuck with that person no matter how good or bad that person might be. I bought the package in 12th dec 2015, and did not like the way my instructor was conducting the class so I told her and them that I can not continue classes with her. Till date I am waiting for a refund.(I only took 1 class).

They explanation was the instructor is self employed and has already been paid so its upto her to give a refund and the company is not liable for anything. Its a scammer language no customer service. pathetic. stay away

Drive Dynamics / Dynamic Franchises paying 10 lessons for £100 and not being able to get my money back

paid for 10 lessons for £100 pound which for me is a lot of money. after waiting for 3 months and being told there is no instructor avainable in my are I asked for a refund. waited another 2 weeks no money! rang and told money would be in my account within 14 day, this was 1 month ago. im shocked at drive dynamics lack of professionalism. have tried calling 7 times keep getting passed around then line goes dead. have sent num erous e-mails at my wits end!
pls envestigate to help other peole and get my money back

Drive Dynamics / Dynamic Franchises poor instructor

Extremely poor driving instructor provided by this school. On my second lesson I was allowed to drive on the A13, despite not being talked through the car controls fully. However, this isn't my biggest complaint. After I was called into work the day before my lesson, I messaged my instructor to ask if I could change my lesson. After I was told he hasn't got any more space 'until after his trip' he arranged to call me after his lesson had finished. However, I did not hear from him after attempting to call and text for 2 weeks. After this treatment, I decided that I would like to change driving schools. I very politely requested from my instructor for him to arrange for the 5 lessons I had already paid for to be refunded (around £50) but received no response. I have emailed the company around 4-5 times regarding this and have yet as to receive a response. DO NOT BOOK lessons with this company, especially if you are in the Basildon/Pitsea area of Essex. You will be ripped off, ignored and out of pocket at the hands of this money grabbing company and poor excuses of driving instructors. Wish I never wasted my time.

This is a follow-up to your previous request #6582 "Fwd: Confirmation of your o..."

Morning

I am having real difficulty with the instructor, I booked the first lesson for yesterday 09/03/2016 @ 17:30. Around 17:40 the instructor still did not arrived, I phoned and left a voice message. The instructor phoned back 5 minutes later, informing me that he was not feeling well the whole day, and he still did not received any of my details. I do find it extremely disappointing that I was not informed earlier during the day that my lesson will be cancelled, and that I had to phone the instructor to ask if he is still coming or not. I do feel that this instructor is putting your company in a bad light. Can you please give me a call back, as I tried to call customer service since 09:00 this morning.

Drive Dynamics / Dynamic Franchises driving lessons

I will strongly advise you to stay away from them. Below is my experience

1. Money paid in Sep 2015
2. No response till Oct
3. After multiple phone calls to them, get a call from an instructor who says he has been assigned to me but he does not have bandwidth to take new students and some other instructor will call me
4. No response again for many weeks
5. Again multiple phone calls to chase but very hard to get to customer services
6. Manager to get to customer service in Nov who said 'Please send us your request by email'
7. Sent 3 mails in December, Jan and now in Feb but still no response

My feeling is that this is a fraud company with no real operations but just a call center and website to take orders.

Drive Dynamics / Dynamic Franchises driving lesson

Absolutely terrible service if anyone is thinking of using them DONT stay well away they are ripping people off. Paid £99 for 10 lesson for my daughter as a birthday present biggest mistake of my life. Had to ring constantly for a month before she got an instructor who lets say personal hygiene could be questioned! So far she has had about 5 lessons spread out sporadically as she can never can get old of the instructor. She hasn't had a lesson since early December and no word from her instructor. Looks like we lost our money has she is now going with a new driving school. Thinking of going to watchdog

Drive Dynamics / Dynamic Franchises driving lessons

Very poor service INDEED. We contacted Drive Dynamics and paid the booking service £311.75 for twenty driving lessons for our daughter on 7th July 2015. This was her 17th birthday present! The allocated driving instructor in the Derby area gave TWO lessons and then cancelled further appointments. We contacted Drive Dynamics for assistance both by telephone and via a letter to the managing director (Mr Alistair Midgley-McDonald) at their head office. When we did receive a letter from Drive Dynamics they stated that they do not accept ANY responsibility for the driving lessons that were arranged with them. So, basically, Drive Dynamics accepts payment and contacts a driving instructor - if that driving instructor fails to deliver the lessons, Drive Dynamics customer support will 'wash their hands' of the problem! THIS IS DEFINATELY A COMPANY TO AVOID!

Drive Dynamics / Dynamic Franchises shocking customer service, didn't deliver in providing a driving instructor

Booked 20 lessons over the phone for £300. Was assured by Luke that I would receive a call from an instructor within 5 days. Clearly either he did not check that availability correctly first before taking payment from me or the instructor was unreliable. Called after a week to find out where my instructor was, was told that they would check and get back to me - they never did. Called a few days later and was told that I had never been assigned an instructor and that I would have to apply for a refund by emailing customer services and waiting for a response. Obviously I never received a response so continued to call the company multiple times trying to get through to the tiny customer service team. Multiple times the phone was put down on me, I was put on hold or told that I would receive a callback which never occurred. Eventually after requesting the direct customer service number and calling almost 20 times until the line was free I managed to get through to customer service who told me it would take 14 days for a refund and I would lose my booking fee. Somehow I think that it will take longer than 14 days for me to receive my refund. I am furious with this poor service and believe that their longwinded refund process is a joke and throughout the process they kept trying to persuade me to remain a customer and assign me a new instructor but I will not be wasting my time. All round a massive waste of time when I wanted to start lessons straight away and a waste of money where the £300 has been sat with them for over a month.

Drive Dynamics / Dynamic Franchises never even had a first lesson

Booked a block of 10 hours for £99 waited 2 weeks heard nothing and was giving nothing of any convenience. rang and rang most days to sort out what was going on. in the end i wanted my money back which they refused to do. however after getting my solicitor involved over the phone i managed to get the refund within the week Do not trust A complete con A waste of time and money Every other complaint on here is completely true! they are awful!

Drive Dynamics / Dynamic Franchises driving lessons

Signed up with them for 10 lesson (4 of which they withhold for test week!) after 4th lesson instructor told me that he wanted more money next time. When he arrived for next lesson refused to take me out without further payment. When I spoke to the company they claimed he was right as he needs to secure further work, as we are not using them for more lessons we are now at a stalemate as they will not deliver any more lessons even though we still have 6 of the 10 hours paid for. They are not what they claim to be, instructor csncelled lessons to cover sick colleagues, who would book more lessons with this company. I wish I had taken the time to read reviews before I booked with them. Warning to you all, book your lessons direct with a local instructor it may seem like it is a bit expensive but I have paid for 10 hours received only four and they are refusing to do any more unless I book and pay for more lessons,

Drive Dynamics / Dynamic Franchises rubbish service

I took one lesson and then the instructor kept canceling trying to take time as used when it wasn't he just wanted a shorter day. He was terrible trying to teach in a bmw that's huge on narrow streets. 3 times he was asked by the public to turn the headlights on at 9pm in winter.

Finally after 4 months of complaining I get a new instructor he is good in the Sutton surrey area his name is Ray. i spoke to Paula whitehouse head of helpdesk she one can not do math as she believes a 1 hour lesson only one means you have used 2.5 lessons.

Next I try and get my theory test login, try to login and it is broken. Terrible I complained over 10 times and nothing happened they do not refund you they are terrible. I would have been better off with a remote control car to learn with than these guys.
