Trend Micro unauthoriaed credit card charge

I do not know who this company is, I have never ordered anything from them, and yet, DRI MICROTREND has charged my cc for $34.11 back on April 21, 2009. I need to learn how to contact them for a reverse charge. Anyone have a WEB site or e-mail address or a phone number? Thanks for reading, thanks for any help you might have. Jerry

Trend Micro erroneous charge on my credit card

I have been charged a big amount of money, on my gm visa card, july 20th, 2009. The amount is 297.87$ for items that I ordered by mistake. I reequest a refund, for that amount. I have been a custommer with you since, 2007. I am using: internet security witch is suppose to cost 49.95$ plus taxes. My renewal number is: piew-[protected]. My CHASE Card (Visa) has an erroneous charge of $46.90 for a program that was advertised as a 30 day fee trial offer. In the process of ordering I decided not to complete the order and exited the process thinking that it was deleted. I should not be charged since it was supposed to be a 30 day free trioal offer and I decided not to even take advanytage of that. Please cancel for me or give me a customer service number that I can call to talkk with someone about this error.

Trend Micro Do not buy from them

I would rate them much better except for the fact that when I tried to return a bad motherboard (Tyan 1590), I couldn't get anyone to respond to my emails or phone calls! I sent one email stating the problem and any troubleshooting I'd done so far. They responded the next day saying I should check the power supply. Well, I had done that as I had two motherboards and two power supplies on hand. I mailed them this information back and heard nothing. I sent 3 or 4 more polite emails and called several times and left messages for tech support to call me back. After about six weeks (!), I wrote a letter to Tom's Hardware Guide because that is where I first saw an ad for Micro Trend. The next day I got a call from Micro Trend; I am sure the letter to Tom's had something to do with it. They finally gave me an RMA #. I shipped the board back and got a new one in about a week (good). It worked fine and all is well. But the stuff I had to go through soured me on them for evah. I still use their system configurator to check prices but I will never buy from nor recommend them to anyone again.

Trend Micro Autodeduct from bank account

Had $45.95 deducted from my account without my authorization.

Had to wait, as the bank gave me ERRONEOUS contact info.
[protected] - phone number on account.

The phone number is actually for Digital River, a credit card clearing house that handles online business for Norton/Symantec, TrendMicro, Microsoft, and many other large companies.

The VISA database is in error about the website, and as of this date, refuses to correct their error. The Digital River contact is at www.myord.com, it is NOT www.myorg.com.

Once these companies have your card number, they will automatically bill you without asking for permission to do so. You need to complain to your bank and your state attorneys general about it. When they take your credit/debit card number, they need to ask permission each time they charge your account. Mine was purchasing antivirus for exwife who moved out (and took her computer with her) three weeks later.

I ordered trend micro online. It never loaded. I got the bill and tried to contact them. Thus far, I have not been able to find a contact. Further, after the 30 day free cancellation period. Of course, even had it been withing the 30 days, there is no contact to cancel. In the meantime, I had to call visa to contest the fee - a faxed letter and probable more hassle. Never again.

On my laptop there are 98 virus's. I needed something to get rid of them. I am not a expierienced pc user, so i put my faith in the knowledge of the shop personel. I informed the pc sales person of my problem, and was given the Internet security pro. He assured me that this will do the job. $100 later, i discovered that it is a virus preventative, not a virus cure. There was $100 down the drain. This incompetance by the sales person, isn't the actual complaint. The complaint is the fact that I have scaned my pc a number of times with other brands, and each brand is advising about the number of, and type of virus's on my pc right now. At the present. As i write. All these brand's are telling me this fact, BUT trend, always says the same thing. There is no threat from any virus. Trend wont, or isn't capable of recognising the present threat. There for, i have come to the conclusion that Trend is nothing more than a teamate to a virus. If trend wont try to prevent virus's from kicking goals, it must be on the same team. That's logical, isn't it? So, in closing, i want to get rid of the dirty little buggers and prevent more from getting a foothold. TREND ISN'T UP TO THE TASK AT HAND. My opinion of trend now? an absolute waste of time and money...signed, very pissed off.

Trend micro took out $79.80 from our checking account today. this was not authorized. We cancelled with them a long time ago. I have filed a complaint with our bank, who will research this and try to get a refund!

I have 4 different charges on my Visa account for TrendMicro for services that I never received. I have made numerous attempts to contact the company so they could resolve this before I have my bank that I hold my Visa with contact them and have the charges removed from my billed account.

Trend Micro fraud!!

They stole 35.95 from my bank account without my authorization. I tried to contact the company via email. Well they make you select from a drop down menu so all you get in return is an automated response. I then tried calling the number at the bottom of their website and was on hold for over an hour. Never once spoke to a real person.

Basically, if you have Norton Anti Virus or Trend Micro anti virus DO NOT renew your subscription. Anytime you enter your information in the fields you are opening your bank account up to them to charge you as many times as they wish. The ironic part is that I do not even own a computer of my own anymore and they are still charging me for this service.

FRAUD! contact the Better Business Bureau... I just did!

Trend Micro charged my debit card for $62.99 without out my knowledge and didn't purchased anything from them this time. i purchased their anti-virus 2 or 3 years ago but not this time. i can't believe it that they can just get money on my bank without my knowledge and without purchasing any product from them...they are a thief.

I've used Trend Micro since 2003 and never had the problem described. When the current subscription expires, it expires. It's up to the individual to upgrade their subscription...no automatic billing has occurred. I have called Trend Micro once on a technical issue with the software in 2008 and got right in to attendant. They help me correct the problem. I couldn't be more happier with their internet protection software and service.

Trend Micro bad product/bad support/bad service

I purchased and installed Trend Micro Internet Security. My computer kept doing a "crash dump". I received messages that my Antivirus program was causing the problem. So I contacted Trend Micro. The Rep emailed me and had me send a couple of error logs. He then had me uninstall and reinstall the program. I had the same results. The Rep then told me he had to refer me to a Level 2 Specialist. By the time the Level 2 Specialist got in touch with me, my computer had crashed altogether. I had to return it to the manufacturer for repair. I told the Specialist that I did not intend to reinstall Trend Micro because it either crashed my computer or let a virus get by that crashed my computer. I requested a refund for the remaining seven months of service. It was denied. I requested to speak to a Supervisor three times. I was NEVER allowed to communicate with a Supervisor by email and NEVER allowed to speak to a HUMAN! I don't know about you, but I really hate companies like this. ALL THE SIGNS OF A COMPANY THAT KNOWS THEY HAVE A BAD PRODUCT!

Did that ### actually just say that they send you viruses if you don't renew your subscription... Kill yourself... Even your name implies that you're a complete ###...

But on to the topic... Let's see... You sent your computer to your manufacturer and they repaired it? If they repaired it free of charge under a warranty then it was not Trend Micro's fault.. More likely a Hardware malfunction like the Hard Drive dying... Being that Manufacturers do not do repairs for Software malfunctions like you installing TMIS and it crashing. If they did they'd have charged you a hefty fee for a simple OS reinstall which you could've done yourself with your restore disk. Being that TMIS has been installed on hundreds of thousands of other computers and not having a problem I probably wouldn't blame them for it... They refused to refund your seven months because you don't exactly pay for the updates... but the software itself. The updates are free to anyone... http://www.trendmicro.com/download/... So yeh... no refund there...

Stay away from AVG... Who really thinks that free software does as good as paid software...

i really love to agree with you guys..don't you know that trendmicro gets hacked easily because of their super thrifty owners?i was one of them and i really hate trendmicro, i mean we representatives hates the company, trendmicro..the reason why you cant speak to a supervisor because they are afraid to take the call..you know why? because they themselves know that the product won't work..and yes of course..the phone support is a free service..but then it really sucks when we get problems like updates because we know that it is our company's fault...trendmicro would always say.." you guys should work well"..what do they want us to do? do a magic? it is the product that is causing the problem and they are blaming the representatives when in fact, they don't give accurate solutions to the problems..they said ., you guys are techie..you should know about it..hey..are we the one who created your good-for-profit product? i heard it is outsourced to cebu..if i were you, you all quit and just use avg..there are times that it won't work but it is not as worse as norton, trendmicro, mcaffee which will send you viruses when your subscription expires and you don't renew

...what's worse is I get this "Please stay off the Internet" parental control message.

TrendMicro suggests to reinstall the program. Why? This is a for 2009 and was working fine until one of their updates.

Trend Micro product never supplied

On the 14/11/08 I've purchased a trend micro update AU$ 157.90 they have never e-mailed the program to me, I can't get in contact with Digital River nor Trend Micro in Australia, the [protected] number, which is an overseas number just tells me they can't find the payment and that I have to provide a copy of my bank statement, my bank advised that is not safe to do so they have provided me with a banking transfer receipt number asssured me that digital river has received the funds.
I just want my money back and other people to know not to buy anything from Trend Micro!

Trend Micro double charge and unable to install

After many Ad pop-ups telling I had 39 virus to get rid of, I decided to go ahead and buy the item.
10/9/08

For some reason, that I still do not know, no change was taking place; I thought that maybe I did not do
something right while trying to install; so I went ahead and did the same thing again on 10/30/08.

No luck with my second trial.

RESULT: I was charged double in my credit card and still I was not even able to make it work in my
computer. So I had to buy a Norton Antivirus 2009 in Office Max.

I think those charges should be removed from my card for those two reasons.I'm willing to answer any
question

Trend Micro doubled billed

I continually received pop-up boxes stating that my Anti-Virus software liscensce had expried and I needed to renew as soon as possible. I did some checking with the company that I purchased from and was told that was not the case at all, the computer is only two years old. I received my bill from my credit card company, USAA and there was not on bill from DRI Trend Mircro but two for the same date, October 10, 2008. One is for $72.85 and one is for 68.85. I want these charges credited to my credit card immediately. I can go through USAA with no problem but will give you the opportunity to do what is right before filing a formal complaint. I want written notification to the e-mail address above withing the next week or I will contact USAA and I assure you the issue will be resolved.

One more thing. You make complaining so complicated by asking a million questions, taking a test on road signs. etc. Are you trying to make it impossible to complain?. Seems so to me..

Ordered internet security renewal 1 - yr, on 8 / 24 / 09, charges $59. 95.
On 8 / 25 / 09, placed another order for renewal, because i still had a message that my internet security had expired, charges of $53. 70 and $11. 77. Received (1) cd, order id [protected],
Ccd: 1521174, dated: 08 / 24 / 2009.

Please credit my credit card with the portion i did not need to renew my internet security.

Charge for peroid ending FEBRUARY 09, 2010 in the amount of $42.45

I don't have any support documentation for this service. I all ready have a security agreement with a competitor. Please review your records. If there has been a mis undersatndind I will adress it. In the mean time please cancel any current agreement as of this e mail. I will pay the cancelation time remaing as pro rated.

On June 11 of 2010 I was charged $35.95 and I do not know why. I contacted my bank and they are disputing the charge. My bank also told me that I might be on some annual charging plan which I did not by any means authorize considering the fact that I only have a summer job and do not always have money in my account. I want to be taken off of this annual charging plan and have my account credited back the amount that I was charged. Due to this unauthorized charge I was charged two different overdraft fees for my account. I cannot afford this and if the problem is not taken care of I will take further action against this company. Please contact me asap. webergirl2@live.com

I was billed on1/09/2012 for a anti virus program that I didn"t order. My wife bought mini laptop from Best Buy andwe paid for Trend micro off the shelf to be installe last year. we did no renew it! the billing is on my credit card.

TREND MICRO IS A JOKE AS A SECURITY SYSTEM & COMPANY and SHOULD BE OUT OF BUSINESS.

If you want Junk & Spam mail sent to your inbox, purchase Trend Security Internet Pro. I downloaded

the so-called security in July of 2009 for $69.95 & started receiving spam & junk less than a month later. I was away for awhile & noticed the fact in early Sept when I called Trend Micro. I was given a Charity Repair which did not work because my inbox still flooded with the trash. I was cut off from on-line banking & even Microsoft became involved, yet Trend Micro refused to return my $69.95 because I contacted them more than a month after purchase. Finally in Nov. 09, after many, many phone calls, letters to top officials(with no response) & e-mails, I deleted Trend Micro & installed Norton's Security and have had no complaints since. Can you believe TM's audacity by continuing to e-mail me hoping I'll renew my subscription?

I recerived a notification from paypal informing me of a payment made to Digital River Ireland of $115.09CAD which of course i did not make. The payment is unauthorized therefore please do not process it and I want to know why I am being charged for that.

Same thing happened to me, an automatic renewal of $35.95 I never signed up for. My trendmicro software came with an HP computer I purchased at Bestbuy. My advice is to decline this software if they offer to you. Webroots stuff is better and they don't try and dip into your visa card at a later date.

Yep, I had the same charge $44.95 but TWICE. At first I thought I had ordered it from them becuase I had in the past but then I realized that I had not ordered since quite aehile back. They tried to say that I was on some sort of automatic renewal, which I had never signed up for. They have credited me one of the charges but I'm still working on th other.

One more thing, you have to be stern with them. They try to act like they can't find the order but if you keep pushing, they will.

Freaky! I was charged 44.95 on [protected]. I had to call their customer service number. They had ALL of my information! My old address, everything! If you call the number, they will issue a refund within 5-7 days. You just have to garantee to them via their terms and conditions that you understand that using their program without paying is illegal and against copywrite laws. I told them that was no problem, because I didn't even have it! They may also claim last year you purchased their product exactly a year ago in 2007. Their number is: [protected].

Trend Micro their tech support

I renewed the subscription for the 2008 version. I have been having problems with the spamtool and their tech support has been giving me the run around since Oct.4, 2007. What few emails I get from them, they keep giving me the same solution to try. They tell me to send them a file report and I do and I never hear anything from them. I don't know if their getting the mail because of the problems I'm having with outgoing mail when using the spamtool. I told them I will not be renewing the subscription on Oct 2008. I never had a problem with their support when I had problems with the 2007 version of their product.

I paid for this security on [protected], i got a mail on 13-01-2016 that is was cancelled, because it was not paid. My complain is that i can't contact whith the Dutch company, because the adres : Trend Micro Benelux Kantoorpark "Lapalissade" Lange Dreef 13h 4131 NJ Vianen (NL) [protected] Doesn't exist and can't be find in the Dutch telephonebook.

I've been a product subscriber for 3 years now with no trouble. But a week ago I ran into a major problem and have been trying for days to Submit a Support Case Online and each time I get this "There was an error in processing your request. Please retry the query." I've even made several complaints on there feedback page about this, but I doubt anyone ever even noticed. If it even went through at all. Hopefully after a week of hassel I think I 've just about worked out the trouble for myself . But when the time comes I WONT be renewing.

their "customer service" or "tech support" is like a giant firewall -- absolutely NOTHING gets through. you will get NO HELP whatsoever from them. you will NEVER get to speak to anyone whose first language is English.

I used Trend Micro for two years happily. Let it lapse for 6 months and then just renewed for 3 years, Internet Security 2008. I have had nothing but trouble. Tried to request the Money Back Guarantee in the 30 day time period. NO answered phones. No returned emails. No response to request for chat. Horrible, horrible customer service. I don't know what I'll do if I don't get my $100 back. I am pretty ticked off...

I just want to say that when i bought my computer Trend Micro was already on it so i had it for that yr didnt have any problems but when i had to renew it in 2007 i did it online BIG MISTAKE at first they charge my account twice and then had issues downloading it in my computer and trying to call to get help was a joke they were very rude about it and i felt they didnt want to take there time to help me, and one of the person i talked with was so hard to understand because didnt speak very good english at all...I gave up and took a loss and felt like i paid almost 50 dollars for something i never got...so now its expired and they keep sending me letters to renew it, but i would never go threw that again...I feel Trend Micro just needs to do some better training with there customer service reps

Trend Micro refused to refund my money

On Jan. 12, 07, I ordered their “PC-cillin Internet Security 14 Antivirus Software” from this company on-line. It was a 3 year service contract for $99.00. My credit card was charged this amount the next day. After repeated failed attempts to install this product on my computer I decide I no longer needed/wanted this software and asked for a full refund. Since that time I have been given the worst run-around that I have ever experienced. This company refuses to refund my money and has not contacted me since my last request on May 17, 2007.

76 Dollars have been taken off my account without permisson. Dri trend has deducted fees for which ive never subscribed to or bought anything feom them. I have not transacted at any online stores of their.

on the 19 12 2019 £19. 95 was takenfrom my bank account by a diffrent name to trend dri as this is not any one we have come across before it seems funny as it was not in your name as you are the only one with a credit card number for said card

I have had a similar experience, except I was able to download the software. Less than 2 months later I had a debilitating virus on my computer and had to restore my computer to its factory settings (wiping out everything on my computer). I immediately downloaded McAfee (and have no problems since), and contacted TrendMicro (by email) explaining what happened and asked for a refund. Over two months passed and I did not hear back, so I emailed them again. I got an email back saying they would look into the matter. Then, another month and a half passed with no word. I complained again, and this time got an email back stating they could not refund my money since my complaint was after 30 days from purchasing the software. BUT, they did offer to help me download the software! Are they KIDDING? Like I would be that stupid to want to go through that hassle and put my computer at risk all over again. CONSUMER BEWARE!
