Dreams heamingway adjustable bed and sleepeezee mattress.

I purchased a Heamingway adjustable bed with a Sleepeezee mattress, a few nights later I found that they had fitted the bed the wrong way round. A few days later some one came round to put the bed the right way round. I then noticed that the electrical control unit was not right, when the head of the bed symbol was pressed it raised the foot of the bed and vice versa. The man said he was not qualified to do the electrics, so I contacted Dreams by phone and email on a couple of occasions but no sign of any one coming. When I lay on the Sleepeezee mattress, and I put my hand between my body and the mattress, I found that I could feel the bed springs. (I am about 13 stone in weight) When they come out to look at the control box, they will also look at the mattress. Dream on...?

Dreams providing the wrong parts

We ordered a Hempstead bed which was delivered on the 15th October 2014. My partner put the bed together only to find out that the panels for the draw was wrong. He ordered for the correct part to come so that our bed could be completed.

Three months later we are still waiting for this part. We have called customer services a number of times and theres always another excuse as to why we are still waiting for the panels! We sent a fortune on this bed only to have it part completed.

Last night I received a voucher of £35 to spend in store as a sorry for the inconvenience...this is just taking the piss. All what we want is to complete our bed as we don't have enough storage in our room. We still have our clothes in boxes as a result! What can we even buy for £35 from dreams nothing.

The service has truly been disgraceful and I will certainly not be buying anything from this store again. In fact I think we will be having a refund and finding another company to provide us with another bed. Why should we be awaiting this long to complete our bed?

Dreams delivery is pathetic

What a bad delivery company tie up
I have ordered my dream bed in Dreams.co.uk, the Berkeley Black and walnut along with 2 bedside tables.
After 30 days of wait, I got a call from the delivery company (DandI Solutions - so called world class deivery and assembling) on one friday and said it will be delivery Tuesday. I was eagerly waiting for the delivery.
Unfortunately there was some delay (not sure what happened), and got a call on Monday saying that it will be delivered on Thursday.
I got a message on Thursday at 9.20 from the delivery van driver that, delivery will be between 10 and 2 (this is UK style message).
That time I was away in GP Surgery for appointment for my daughter and returned home at 10.04. Even I told the driver that, I will be bit late and will be in home around 10.10.
But the driver who doesnot have enough patience to wait, left before I reach home. Now the super dooper delivery company DandI saying that, it can be delivery next week only. Do I really need to wait for next tueday and taking off, open my house door for them and wait from 10 to 2 all day?

Dreams Plc

4th March 2012

Dear Sir / Madam,
Re: Order Number : 198 ¦ H ¦ 226
I have given your company every opportunity to avoid this formal complaint, but the lack of customer service, and more importantly, the lack of refund of my money paid, has caused me to take this route. You may wish to save the time of reading the rest of this letter by immediately returning the £xxx.xx I paid to you on 2nd January 2012, against which I received a defective product on 27th January 2012, which was returned to you on the 15th February 2012.

The pertinent events are below.
-

2nd January 2012, order xxxxxxxxxx placed at your xxxxxxxx branch. £xxx.xx paid on my credit card.

- Bed and mattress delivered 27th January 2012.

- 28th January 2012 “1”
Bed unpacked and checked, ready for assembly.
Missing parts recorded and photographing of unbelievably damaged condition of leather elements of bed.

- 28th January 2012 “2”
Phone call to your customer service to attempt to arrange same day replacement of damaged and missing parts. When “Samuel” advised this was not possible, even though the warehouse is less than 20 miles away, I told him to cancel my order, arrange collection and refund my money. After many minutes of being placed on hold, he confirmed my money would be refunded.

- 15th February 2012
The bed and mattress collected. (SRET reference : xxxxxxx)

As at the date of this letter, no communication has been made to me to discuss this matter, and more seriously, my money has not been refunded.

I now formally inform you, that if my £xxxxxx is not refunded to me by Friday 9th March 2012, I will instigate all options available to me as a Consumer.

With the above events taken into consideration, you probably won’t have any concern as to what I think of Dreams Plc, but if you do, feel free to send a questionnaire to me.
Yours faithfully,
xxxxxxxxxx

Dreams refund on purchase

We ordered a bed and mattress on 30th November 2013 in store and had it delivered. The bed we chose was brown but our order and receipt was an ivory frame and headboard. The next day we contacted the store to be told to contact customer services. Customer Services then told us to contact the store. Eventually we spoke to the manager, Sayed, who told us he would see if we could change this for a brown bed. We are unable to get in touch with the store for an update and they have not returned our phone calls and are not responding to us.

Dreams broken bed

Bed purchased from Dreams not two years old base on right hand side has caved in. Given that the bed cost nearly a thousand pounds that we are a retired couple so the bed has not been misused. I feel the bed was quite expensive for inferior quality manufacturing with no sight of a resolve in how to get the base replaced.

Dreams order that was purchased

I purchased a luciaa brown bed from dreams on thee 4the march, thee bed was IN STOCK when I ordered and paid for it, and got a delivery date of thee 25the march, I went in to thee shop in southeampton and informed theem theat thee sale of thee new house was delayed and could I change thee date, I was informed theat if I did theat I would lose thee bed? however I could change thee address and thee bed would still be mine ( which I theought it was as I ordered it when it was in stock), I get a phone call yesterday 3 days before delivery informing me theat thee bed was out of stock, I told him theat thee bed belonged to me as I paid for it and it was in stock I am only changing thee address not thee delivery date, but he would not do anytheing except say sorry and told me to ring cust services, which I did today and theey said thee same theat theey were sorry, theey offered me anotheer bed In BLACK which I don't want as I particularly wanted brown, I find theis unacceptable as thee bed was bought and paid for and it stock, so in my understanding it belongs to me just because I changed thee delivery address theey have no right to give it to some one else and tell me it is out of stock, Dreams does not do a lot of business and is struggling in theis industry if theey treat thee few people theat actually buy stuff from theem like theis, what will be next ? regards Laura Garthe - [protected] - [protected]@ntlworld.com

Dreams failure to deliver on time

We ordered a tempur mattress at the end of December, I received a text message informing me that the mattress would arrive in mid January, this proved to be incorrect, the store told me that the texts were not applicable to northern Scotland. Proceeded to arrange a delivery date of the 22nd Feb. I spent the entire day at home waiting for it to arrive. At 4pm I gave in and visited the store only to be told that it was in Inverness approximately 45 miles from where we live and would be delivered by Wednesday or Thursday. I am deeply dissatisfied wi the service and think if someone is spending £1500 on a product the company would bend over backwards to deliver it in a timely manner

Dreams mattress

Dreams,
Thank u for your phone call, your shop did not tell me I had to wait 30 days for an exchange, I was told by your salesman I could exchange it straight away as I told them about my bad back, as I normally have a pocket sprung bed, as I know it is best for my sciatica. The salesman told me to try this memory-foam mattress as he said it could be better for me and if it was no good I could exchange it straight away. two nights on this memory-foam mattress, my sciatica started, I have not slept on this mattress since, my back is slightly better. The shop were most helpful and willing to change it but head office told the shop that they could not exchange it, they all know I am suffering. I have found out the company policy is 30 - 40 days until they can exchange the mattress, I was never told this at the point of the sale! The shop is helping me all they can, they are still trying to help me now. I would like to sleep in my own bed but I am forced by this mattress to sleep in my daughter's bed. I think there should be some override of this 30 - 40 days policy, especially if you have a health problem. I hope I can sort this matter a little quicker than 30 - 40 days, as I don't know how much longer I can take this. I have only had the mattress a week now! I would not like any customer to suffer, like I have, I hope you can help me.

HI,
I am absolutely apalled by the mattress i have bought from Dreams store. I have only had the mattress 2 years it cost me around 250 - 300 pound. I regulary turn it over and the mattress has severely "dipped" and now as a result i have terrible back problems. I've never had this problem with matresses in the past normally when you pay that much it should last 5 years at least. Dreams customer service are useless i've attache a picture so u can see just how much its dipped.

Dreams worst buying experience ever!

Our in-store experience at Dreams was fine, my husband and I were greeted by friendly and helpful staff, we managed to find the bed that suited us, payed in full, booked delivery date and off we went thinking that all would be smooth running - why would we expect anything different.

Our bed was scheduled to arrive in 4 weeks. The day before our bed was to arrive, we received a phone call informing us that Dreams would not be able to deliver the next day - needless to say this was frustrating as we had just moved into a new house and were sleeping on a blow up mattress, which does not make for a happy sleep or happy back. We payed for a Saturday delivery so that we would avoid having to take time off work to receive the bed. After they cancelled it, they told us that they could deliver it that Monday - the reason they said they couldn't deliver it on Saturday was that the supplier did not have the mattress we ordered - how on earth would they be able to source this mattress in the next 3 days. This did not make sense, but we refused the Monday delivery, as we didn't want to take time off work. The next date they could give us was 2 weeks later - even though they messed up, we had to pay in time.

2 weeks later, we phone to confirm the delivery on the Saturday, which was agreed to and guaranteed by Dreams. Saturday comes around and we are left sitting at home the whole day waiting for our bed to arrive, and NOTHING. They didn't even call to let us know they could not deliver - even though we had the delivery date confirmed. So we had to phone customer service and arrange another delivery date, which was guaranteed by a manager for the next Sunday... well you can imagine what happened, sitting at home the whole of Sunday (after having confirmed the delivery date yet again a few days before), nothing arrives, not even a phone call.

All this time we have been sleeping on a blow up mattress while all this time Dreams have had every cent of money that was owed to them - how is it fair that what is owed to me is no where in sight.

In short, I will not recommend anyone buy anything from Dreams that they cannot pick up and walk out of the store with them right then and there. Otherwise you will be in a world of pain (quite literally from back ache, having slept on a blow up mattress for 2 months). And what kind of compensation can we expect? I'm sure it will not come even close to making this all seem worthwhile.

Non-existent customer service, worst company I have ever dealt with.

Dreams ruined our credit rating

We are getting no where with this Company. We purchased a bed from these clowns, we were offered finance and they entered our details completely wrong on their system, wrong name, wrong address, we then failed finance, paid by credit card. Even though we immediately informed them that all the details were wrong (I phoned and called into the branch) they still tried to deliver it to the wrong address. Again I went into the branch and said they have the wrong details. Then weeks later my wife gets a text from a DEBT COLLECTION AGENCY saying we owe you £928. Once again I went into the branch and spoke to Nick (the guy who took the order in the first place) he assured me that I would get a call from head office to let me know what steps you had taken to sort this out, nothing? I have now spent too much time chasing this, I have a Solicitor looking at this because they have potentially ruined my wifes credit rating by putting this with a debt collection agency. I now want compensation and intend to go to County Court and issue Judgement against them for damages. Has anyone gone down the same route, would be good to go to court with previous cases. I

Dreams Missed delivery and poor customer service

My Wife and I originally purchased a "made to order" 6ft bed frame in the Dreams Plc store in Longwater, Norwich on the 01-08-12 for £879. Several days later (there was a problem with the system at time of purchase that would not allow booking of a delivery) we were given a delivery date of 17-08-12. I have now discovered the frame is now for sale at £479? I called the dreams customer service number after approx. an hour of being on hold. I was told that there is nothing they can or will do about it and price changes are covered in the contract I have signed (I have not signed a contract) Further they will not be able to deliver the product on the original delivery date due to warehouse stock issues (although the bed was sold by the salesman as a made to order product) and also they can not give a new date at this time. I have been instructed that if I "want a new date" I will have to contact them again in a weeks time to be given a new delivery date! When making enquiries at the store today, the store manager shouted at my pregnant wife he did not have time to deal with her complaint as they are busy with a sale on! and he will "call, when he is free and good and ready"

Dreams ottoman bed

Dreams Beds are nightmare, Failed deliveries, poor standard of service, Ottoman storage bed. AVOID THIS SHOP.
Placed order for an ottoman storage bed 4 months ago, been given four delivery dates, each delivery date has been cancelled due to the bed not arrived at the warehouse. Dreams are an absolute nightmare, they have no idea what is going on, they cannot give any answers. The delivery people call you on the day of delivery to say that the delivery has been cancelled. This is so frustrating as I take time of work to be at home to accept the delivery. I have now cancelled the order with Dreams.co.uk and ordered via another supplier. Dreams.co.uk provide 100% substandard service, this shop is not recommended.

I too ordered this bed of Dreams and was not even given the courtesy of a phone call to tell me the bed would not be delivered on the 30/08/2012. When I rang to complain they told me the bed was out of stock. Judging by your problems then this bed has not been in stock for months, yet they are still selling it. I cancelled my order the next day and I am still waiting to hear about my refund.

Dreams failure to deliver

We bought an expensive mattress from Dreams on 23rd June 2012, with the "dream" of alleviating a bad back. We paid in full (what twits we were) as they were in stock and we could get delivered in one week. The allotted time came... and went. So we called them (not them us!). Been a problem with delivery. It will be rescheduled. The new delivery time came...and went. We called again. Mattress was damaged. On demanding to know why we were not told they apologised and explained that it would be escalated to the "Recovery Task force". With alarm bells now going off at the mere thought that they should have a recovery task force, I asked when the order might be fulfilled. They will be in touch was the response and also that we should be entitled to some form of refund or compensation (when pressed). After them still failing to get in touch the record now stands that the "customer service team have hung up on me twice" as I am being unreasonable in asking where my goods or my moneis are and that is not on my part "helpful" to ask for a refund and further that not only can they not give one but cannot give me the number of someone who will or any contacts, but will send an internal email! So they have our money for a month, have failed to deliver anything and refuse to give a refund - where now?
