I received the letter stating i won $1, 800, 000.00 but they want me to send them $20.00 to obtain the prize money. The address to send the $20.00 is r. P. R. Main offices (Processing office) 218 e. Park ave #309, long beach ny 11561. This address is a ups store that gives you a physical address instead of a po box.. The signature on the letter is michael anthony and second page states i am not guaranteed the prize money but the front says i am a guaranteed winner. This is some double talk... I received a similar letter last year. Be careful because they will start calling you or emailing you also. I even received a cashier's check that was a fake. Please call the bank first that the cashier's check came from before placing it in your checking account. I called the police and gave them everything i had ever received.

Looks like mail fraud to me. Everyone should report it to the post master general.

Here is the LAW.
Whoever, having devised or intending to devise any scheme or artifice to defraud, or for obtaining money or property by means of false or fraudulent pretenses, representations, or promises, or to sell, dispose of, loan, exchange, alter, give away, distribute, supply, or furnish or procure for unlawful use any counterfeit or spurious coin, obligation, security, or other article, or anything represented to be or intimated or held out to be such counterfeit or spurious article, for the purpose of executing such scheme or artifice or attempting so to do, places in any post office or authorized depository for mail matter, any matter or thing whatever to be sent or delivered by the Postal Service, or deposits or causes to be deposited any matter or thing whatever to be sent or delivered by any private or commercial interstate carrier, or takes or receives therefrom, any such matter or thing, or knowingly causes to be delivered by mail or such carrier according to the direction thereon, or at the place at which it is directed to be delivered by the person to whom it is addressed, any such matter or thing, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both. If the violation occurs in relation to, or involving any benefit authorized, transported, transmitted, transferred, disbursed, or paid in connection with, a presidentially declared major disaster or emergency (as those terms are defined in section 102 of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. 5122)), or affects a financial institution, such person shall be fined not more than $1, 000, 000 or imprisoned not more than 30 years, or both.[2]

I also received a letter today in the mail stating the same thing and I wasn't too sure about it either until I decided to google it to find out if it was real or not and now I got my answer from all the rest of you guys. These people are ridiculous and something should be done about them scamming people but that is not right at all. I am also going to keep my letter as well in case they file a class action suit against these crazy people. That is so true if you really won something why should you have to pay to receive what you have won. My name is Tish and I am a victim of this company D.R.D.'s scam.

I Just received the same letter and I decided to research this person. Thanks to you guys/gals I won't have to worry about it. Lately I have all these companies calling my home and telling me I won this or that but, just need to make a payment for one thing. I'm like um no how bout you send me what I so called won and not send you anything. I'm getting pretty sick of the calls though. I'm wondering why this is happening all of a sudden because I've never had this problem before. But once again thanks this letter is going straight in the garbage. I hope everyone else that receives this letter does the same this is pretty ridiculous I mean seriously twenty bucks that's a bit pathetic.

I received one of these award letters on Saturday August 13, 2011 my ID [protected], and I was so excited about the information stating I have won 1, 400, 000.00. I just could not believe it was true, so I turn the award letter over and read the back of it, about the fourth sentence down it reads: You have not won any money or prize. So the 19.99 I would have sent, is for the data report only, because D.R.D Main office is a research and reporting service and nothing more. Please whatever you do "DO NOT SEND THEM ANYTHING FOR THIS IS A SCAM."

I received the same letter from D.R.D main office; sure seemed nice since I have been unemployed for 2 years; I guess it was to good to be true so I checked on line for a scam and sure enough many of you have received the same letter with a different month and year. I saved my $19.99 think I will send this letter to a local news station.

Yeah I just got one of thouse letters and went on line just for laughs. But now that I have the address to the post office I'm gonna email them to see if it does any good. I hope that everyone that gets one of these letters emails the post office from where it was sent from.

I have just received a similar letter today. I've located the post office address of this PO Box. I'm writing to them to let them know that the owner of this PO Box is a scammer and they need to report the scam to authorities. I'm of course enclosing the letter I've received as a proof. You can locate the physical PO Box address through this website: http://www.blackbookonline.info/bbo_poaddress.aspx
I think this is the best way to locate the person who's sending out these letters. All I can hope for is for the post office to do the right thing and report the scammer to police. I hope this information is helpful to all. Remember, if you're asked to pay money to get money, it's obviously a scam. If you've actually won, no one will ask you to pay them to process anything. Any necessary fees to process the prize will be taken out of the prize amount.
