Dr Snooze mattress purchase.

I purchased two mattress's within a two month period. The one I purchased for me, I gave my daughter. I went back to the store looking for Jackie the sales representative I thought was knowledgeable and made me feel I could trust her. I have sciatica and when I tried the icomfort I liked it. Jackie wasn't there that day but called me the next day. I told her I came into the store and tried the 3 icomfort mattress's I even took a picture of it. So she said let's go to the Serta website. So I did and the mattress she said was perfect for sciatica would be the icomfort 5000. I said Jackie that's 3, 000.00. She said I know but it's the best one for your back. I've been dealing with sciatica since I took care of my father who had dementia and my husband who had ALS. Service connected disease. So my dad passed in July 2017 and my husband passed the end of October 2017. So I'm on my own.
After trying the mattress for at least a month I called Jackie and she said to try it for a couple more weeks. I agreed but couldn't wait the two weeks. I went into the store and she was there. I showed her the original one I wanted. So she arranged the exchange. I explained I needed a lower box spring profile. Jackie said they would charge me a couple hundred for it. I was not happy and said if your boss doesn't want a bad review I would suggest he doesn't charge me for it. Now before they had me agree in a email to certain thing let me tell you I never received, signed paperwork for the icomfort 5000 nor the I comfort I picked from the store. Jackie said she would email the paperwork and sales receipt. I said ok. So my next conversation with Jackie was when I asked her what the sale price was on the icomfort I originally laid on during Martin Luther king sale weekend. $898.00. So I was then informed I would not get the difference between the 3, 000.00 and the $898.00. We're talking about $2, 000.00 I will not get back as far as Dr Snooze goes. So I didn't sign a contract for these two mattress's, there was nothing I saw stating no refund.
I'm totally disgusted with your store. $2, 000.00 dollars gone. I took time to decide to put this complaint up but I'm not done yet if I don't get results

Dr Snooze Lies to employees and customers

Dr Snooze of Central Florida is a scam mattress and bedding company that promises prospective employees a generous salery. The problem is that it is 100 percent commission and the owner will ask you to work 11 hours a day, clean the store, including bathrooms and outside, and you may not see anyone (unless it is a complaint) all day. At the end of two weeks, you owe the company money for working. You are also forced to attend early-morning meetings on Sundays with no pay (coffee and donuts). The owner will also find reasons why real commissions will not be paid. Checks bounce all the time. You are asked to lie to customers all the time and then lie to them again when goods and services are not produced. The one delivery truck is a broken down, unmarked truck with uninsured drivers who make deliveries up to 11 p.m. when the customer threatens to cancel unless merchandise is delivered that day. I could go on and on but the bottom line is stay away from these people or do not be surprised when you are very disappointed.

Dr Snooze Cancelled Mattress Purchase Did Not Receive the mattress

Bought a mattress 10-16-09 canceled purchase on 10-17-09. Have not received the mattress. Dr. Snooze charged us $840.00 to our MC and has refused to refund us the $840.00. It has now been a month and they have my money I have nothing. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH DR SNOOZE!

Retailer fails to pay sales tax, arrested

OCALA – A business owner with stores in Ocala. Crystal River and Summerfield has been arrested.

Satesh Ramsaran, 20, of Ocala, was arrested by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office on Friday, Nov. 19, on a felony and misdemeanor charges relating to theft of state funds and refusal to file returns and pay taxes. He owns Dr. Snooze, a business that specializes in the sale of beds.

According to the Florida Department of Revenue, more than $105, 000 in state funds were collected in sales tax from customers but were not sent to the state.

If convicted, he faces up to 30 years in prison and up to $10, 000 in fines, as well as possible repayment of stolen tax, interest, penalty and investigative costs.

I used to work for Dr Snooze. I could tell you stories about the shaddy dealing that goes on within that company. That man is a THIEF, do NOT deal with this company if you have any intelligents about you at all. This man has be incarcerated twice this year alone and will probably wind up serving a prison sentence before it is all said and done, and a well deserved sentence at that. He has lied and stolen from so many people. Every hand he has ever shaken he has screwed them in some way or the other. Bedding manufacutures wont even deal with him unless he pays them cash before hand. They have been burned to many times by him. I am still waiting on my last paycheck and probably wont see a W-2 this year either. The reason I say that is because the latest arrest (which can be looked up if you go to marion county clerk of the courts) is for failure to pay state sales tax of 105k or more a felony and 5 other misdemeanors for the same thing. Each quarted he didn't pay he was charged for. (((Yeahhh for the state of Florida)))
So I'm sure if he cant even pay the state sales tax he certainly isn't going to pay his employees taxes. Gosh I sure am glad I kept my paycheck stubs. I hope they stick his lieing, thieving [censor] under the jail cell and if he ever does get out, make it to where he can never ever open another business of any sort.. He deserves nothing better than to spend the rest of his days on a damn chain gang doing hard labor... If anyone wants to know anything I am here and will answer any questions to the best of my ability.

We paid over 2 grand for a bed and i feel like i am sleeping on a rock.It was fine for 6 months, there is a big dip on my side of the bed and i am only 195 lbs-do your self a favor don't buy this junk

I bought a floor model with no warranty from a friend of my boyfriend's, who happened to be a manager of Dr. Snooze in Ocala, Fl. I asked no questions and trusted that my boyfriend's childhood friend would not sell me a bed that was not of good quality. This gentleman knew I needed a bed with great support because I have a very bad back. My back has been operated on, and I was used to using a (California King) Tempur-Pedic bed. After my boyfriend and I stopped living together, I moved in to my mother's and needed a bed. I had to buy a twin bed within my means. I was going to buy a serta and add a Tempur-Pedic pillow-top to the matress. However, my boyfriend's friend assured me this bed he had for sale was of much better quality. I went and purchased it. That was two months ago. I am now finding out that the bed is complete garbage. The matress has virtually caved in and I can feel every spring in my back. I cry when I have to go to sleep. I can't afford a new bed rigth now, as I am not working. It is 4 in the morning and I am not asleep because I physically can not sleep in that bed. If I do manage to fall asleep, I sleep for maybe two hours and then I am awakened because of the pain in my back. I have yet to call the company and get in touch with anyone. I tried yesterday, but no one answered. My boyfriend's friend no longer works at that store. And it is my understanding that his Boss, or perhaps the gentleman who owned that Dr. Snooze, has recently been incarcerated. ( He had an indian name I believe, as I was shown the mug shot). The manufacturer of the bed, IB Orlando, is a company I have never heard of before. I Googled the manufacturer and nothing came up. I have no idea who manufacturers these beds, but if I can help it, this store will never see another dollar from a sale of a bed again. PLEASE DO NOT USE DR. SNOOZE FOR ANY OF YOUR BEDDING PURCHASES. I have learned my lesson. I will research a company before I do business with another one ever again. To the person who said that DR. Snooze has an "F" rating with the BBB, thank you for stating that. I wish I had read that sooner. I checked the BBB's site, and indeed they do have an "F" rating. I'll be damned if this company thinks they are going to sell me a piece of [censor] bed and get away with it. If I have to go to the ends of the earth to get this matter resolved, I will. No one should be treated this way, and they will not get away with it. I may not have a warranty, but I am the customer and the customer is always right. Or have you forgotten the rules of engagement, Dr. Snooze?

I bought a sleep to live bed and the 4th day sleeping on it, my side was not made right.. I went to the store that I bought it from and spoke to the manager. She stated she would have representative come and check it out.. 4 wks later and 5 trips to the store and about 20 calls to them, they finally got a rep to come and check out the bed... IT WAS DEFECTIVE ... 3 managers promised us the 450 dollars refund and on our credit card.. we even replaced it with another bed through them.. We don't have an issue with this new bed but we now have an issue with this damn company ... they should be sued for neglect to customer service.. We have our own business and if we treated our customers like this we would be unemployeed.. Now, I am fighting with the manangers for a verbal contract that they promised and a bed we don't have ... This company should be shut down.. GREED... KARMA .. enough said

Dr. Snooze ! We found this site to late ! DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!
We purchased a mattress and foundation on 02/01/2010 delivery was to be 02/13/2010.
We got our bill from the finance company on 02/07/2010 with payment starting on 03/04/2010. On 02/09 Dr. Snooze called and said that delivery problems had came up and would not deliver until 02/25. On 02/24 Dr.Snooze called and said they couldn't deliver until 03/05. I told them the payment was due on the 4th, could they hold payment until after we got delivery. I was told that I was responsible to call the credit company.
I called on 02/26 and canceled the purchase and was told that it would at least 10 business days to cancel a purchase.
I had a prescription from a doctor for the bed (no tax on purchase) and was to be given a credit on the balance. This was given to Dr. Snooze on 02/16 and as of this date (03/04) Dr. Snooze has not had any correspondence with the Credit Company on the credit to be applied, let alone the cancellation of the purchase.
I was told by an employee that someone was waiting since early January for a bed that they had purchased from this firm.
I understand that they get paid by the credit company, then order the mattress after they get enough sold to make an minimum order.
We have filed a complaint with the BBB. Dr. Snooze has a BBB rating of "F".

We are going through hell with Dr Snooze. We paid cash for a mattress, and then the day before delivery, there was a truck problem, rescheduled for the following Tuesday, got a call Monday that that mattress was no longer available, and they were no longer dealing with the manufacturer. We told them we wanted our CASH back, they said they could not do that, and issued a check, which took over 10 days. We do not keep a checking account, but have a check casher we use all the time. They took one look at the check and refused to cash it, stating they had had Dr Snooze payroll checks bounce. I called the bank its drawn on, and the acct number on the bottom is not a valid account. We are in the process of taking legal action as I type this. STAY AWAY FROM DR SNOOZE!

Contact your credit card company & file a dispute. Your credit co. will credit the amount back to your card & investigate the co. If you used your bank card, most banks will also credit the amount you paid back to your account & investigate the co. Also report the co. to your state's attorney general's office, consumer complaints division, and the better business bureau.

My experience with fraudelent co's: I booked a trip to South Africa using my VISA bank card. Within days of booking the US State Dept issue a no travel warning to the country I was going to. I immediately canceled my trip but the travel co. ingored my written cancelation & proceeded to withdraw the funds for the whole trip from my account using the bank card I had used to book the trip...to the tune of $5500! I immediately contacted my bank & VISA instantly deducted the funds from the travel co's bank account & redeposited them back into my account pending an investigation - I prevailed in the case against the travel co. So it does not matter how much you spend, all you have to do is lodge the complaint with your bank or credit card co. Good luck.
