My mother was diagnosed with cancer and referred to Raju K. Vaddepally, MD located at 2375 S Ridgeview Dr, Yuma, AZ 85364. Since the initiation of my mother's care, he has not done what is in the best interest of my mother's health. He has delayed treatment and has a negative attitude when it comes to her care. He is never clear with her and refuses to give out straight forward answers regarding her prognosis.

To begin with. He delayed starting her treatment because he wanted biopsies done to see if there was any more cancer. He even said why any further diagnostic testing if we already know she had cancer. This is hypocrite of him when he delayed her treatment to get more biopsies.

On December 11, 2018 my mother was hospitalized. Dr. Vaddepally told the other physicians not to complete a colonoscopy and endoscopy since she already had cancer no need to try and figure out why she was bleeding. My mother ended having treatment to stop bleeding because of this. My mother was given 4 units of blood and one of platelets in less than 2 weeks. 2 units of blood were given in one day as well as the one of platelets.

Dr. Vaddepally stopped her chemo due to the bleeding and her being week. Again when asked about her prognosis he refused to give one.

My mother was discharged on December 24, 2018 and when we called his office for a follow up appointment, she was given an appointment for January 17, almost a month after her discharge from the hospital.

My mother is in pain and on 1/7/19, I called his office to get a sooner appointment and the receptionist just said that she already had an appointment and could not give her one sooner. I was then transferred to the nurse. I left a message. I got a call back and was told that the nurse (Lupe) but got no answer regarding an appointment. I called back and left a message again.

On 1/8/19, my aunt called Dr. Vaddepally's office and she also told them that my mother was in pain and could not wait to be seen next week. She had to tell them they were at a brink of a law suit. All of the sudden the nurse calls my sister to tell them that they found an appointment for my mother this Thursday.

It is sad to have to lower ourselves to this type of response, for this doctor to be responsive to her needs. He has demonstrated that he has given up on my mother by his actions more like lack thereof.
