downloadcave.com review: Fraud 42

I have paid 30 US dollers for 1 year subscription thru Credit card for downloading the technical specification. They have dibited my account in the name of PDF-BILL.COM.

They have provided the website name as http//accessmembersarea.com and given a password, but I do not find any download link. Further, there is no Contact email and Phone No.

I request the concerned authority to take action against the site, and arrange to pay my money.

I paid nearly 33$ to be a member of downloadcave.com. However, they charged me and nothing happens. I can not download anything. Every time I log in downloadcave site, I will be transferred into another website, namely accessmemberarea.com. I even can not contact with the support staff. Their email did not work when I finished my payment and they still have no phone number. What should I do now?

DownloadCave.com advertises itself as a file hosting site, in fact "Downloadcave" doesn't exist. This company pops up on any movie, software title, etc that you search on...and advertises ultra fast instant downloads...I had searched for a tutorial DVD for a software company, and they popped up. In fact, the title doesn't exist, but they have software that automatically catches whatever you search on and advertises a fast download of it. It also advertised a $4.88 special Join Up fee. I was billed $42.86, and I was pointed to a download of a piece of P2P file sharing software. THAT IS A STRAIGHT UP FRAUD !
Within minutes I started e-mailing their "support" people demanding a refund. The title I had searched for isn't even on the tracker that their software said was available. So it's a DOUBLE-FRAUD. They didn't have what I was looking for, and they sold me a search engine, not file hosting access. In addition, they accused me of trying to download copyrighted movies, which was completely fales, in fact, their website promises instant downloads of titles that are STILL IN THEATERS ! So, that's a Triple Fraud. I hope these ### burn in hell. They lie to sell you something that doesn't exist, the give you something you don't want or would use, and they perpetually lie about sending refunds to your credit card.

I signed up for 4 weeks $4.88 . They charged my account $51.79 .
I never received a password . I called my bank and they say the amount is pending and they can do nothing yet, so I Hotcarded (lost or stolen) my account !
Got phone #[protected] . Searched # and found a other Fraud from earlier .
I chancel my membership, never received password so I never could use the side . When U send some mail to support print the screen and put date on, at least U have some paperwork to show for .
I hope to get MY money back, probably Not !

Download.com is a huge SCAM! It looks great and it fooled me! I didnt really understand what it was, I was just wanting to listen to audio books and it said that if I joined I could listen to unlimited audio books. (kinda like audible.com) When I signed up and paid (against my better judgement) it gave me the run a round. Whenever I tried to download the book it said I had to be a member but when I signed in it took me to a page about software and spyware and other things I didn't need! I tried to contact them but they never sent me the verification code and I never did find any phone number!(until I read all the complaints on this site...thank you) If only I would have done more research on the site! I guess that is my lesson learned.

I was looking for 2008 exam papers for my kids to practice & do the necessary excersises to prepare for exams and only found all on download cave - just to find out that it is a big fat scam!

I have been a victim too, and i was not searching for illegal downloads, it was a book that is very necessary to my job and i couldnt locate on the except on downloadcave.com which allured me into subscription. i found out today that they put this program on their search engine which claims to have any file you ask for it. now my boss is blaming me and i look like an idiot in his eyes, and i cant afford to call them to get refund, its so shameful

I Paid 56 US Dollars to utilize the ebooks and study materials. But nothing works. Can we please get this site deactivated soon to make sure that people are not cheated.

Google should not any material from this site. You will get redirected to accessmembersarea.com when you become member of downloadcave.com. But once you login to accessmembersarea.com, you will find how easy it is hoodwink innocent internet users.

Thank you kuman30, I just called these ###s and received the refund-confirm email, they told me that I'll get the refund back to my bank account in 5-10 business days. I still don't trust them, maybe I'll print the receipt out and take it to my bank.

Anyway, thank you again kuman30, and wish all of the people who was cheated by these ###s could get the refund.

Thank you for the information and contact numbers you provided. I was able to get in touch with a representative (despite being on hold for nearly 30 minutes) and insist a refund for my membership purchase. Can someone please keep this thread posted once they've gotten their money back? I was told I would receive the money back in 5-10 business days but seeing as this website is a scam, even that could be fake. Thanks.

yep! I called them back yesterday and got the conformation email as well. But it's just a receipt, still not sure whether they will refund me. Let's wait and see. If they don't give my money back, i will print the receipt, bring it to my bank and ask the bank to investigate it.

Jessie...Same thing happened to me I didn't receive the conformation e-mail within the 24 hours. So I called them back and they resend the email and they stayed on the phone line until I confirmed that I have received.

I called the london line today and speak to the stuff, they promised to give me a refund and said i would get a email to confirm this within 24 hours and got the refund in the following 5-10 days. But until now i did not receive any email from these ###s! Have i been cheated again? what a ###ing man!

kuman30 that was amazing what a relief i called and it was very simple they canceled it wow thank you thank you... i realy felt bad about the whole scam of downloadcave ive never seen such a beutiful site for downloading and there it was all just a scam, crazy stuff and a lot of money wasted. you saved my day.

It happen to me to. I pay life time access. I contact my bank, and if downloadcave does not give me my refund. I can go to the bank and ask them to investigate this scam. This is another action I will take if they do not give me my money back. If anyone know how to call them on phone not by email, please share that information.

How on earth do I contact these ###s!?!?!

I wish I had seen this site earlier today before paying my money to this web scam. I have contacted the bank to deny charges but don't know if they will - Same comments as above. every search is looped to the membership access page and the support page does not accept the numerical code to send complaints.

I's same problem here, I had signed up for DOWNLOAD CAVE lifetime unlimited member, but when i logged in to member area, there's were nothing can be downloaded, so anyone can tell me what is the problem?

I have no sympathy for people who partake in illegal use and distribution of copyrighted material. You are stealing - SIMPLE and should be punished. Think twice before you join a "filesharing" site which is just an internet word for FILESTEALING.

i signed up for downloadcave, com and i can't go on their sight at all. I try to go to the site and it lets an error meesage it does not excist. i to paid in full for the service

Bena4y...true the original file could have been paid (I guess movie directors, game producers, programming developers are all now titled authors) You can tell from your post you have the education of a 2 year old, and that’s being generous! Karma... Doubt it, another internet scam...yes. And since when did the United Kingdom become part of America? Must have missed that news flash over here in “dumb America”. We have it so bad here tv is hard to come by now days. If you don't mind me asking, what wonderful country might you be from? That is if you're not too embarrassed to say!
