Download-provider.com and megadownload pass / No services and total fraud

1 Thailand Review updated:

This is to inform you people out there that Download-provider.com in collaboration with Megadownload pass is using their tactics to lure you to subscibe their membership ...claiming that there are millions of files to download till your heart content.

But in reality, you can not find the files you are looking for, for example, just type JULIUS TOONS, you will see there are at least 2 files before log-in ..but after you log in you can't find those files anywhere.

Furthermore, they charge you automatically for 30 days of services after 3 day trial period which you have to pay $ 4.85 or something. I can't find any customer support to cancel subscription. You get no reaponse from them regarding technical, financial or anything.

In a nutshell, this website is a fraud that should be prosecuted and trialed in the court of law. Avoid at all cost.

I finally have to cancel my credit card just to avoid further successive charges from such a despicable website called Dowload-provider.com

I fully agree with the above complaint. I signed up for a 3-day trial and none of the films they claimed to have were in their database. I canceled bu they still emptied my bank account taking payments of £20, 2 x £27.56, and other small amounts to a total of £90. I have had to cancel my card and the matter is now in the hands of the police. This is a blatant and dangerous scam and must be dealt with soon.

Download-provider.com are unabashed crooks. They're in business only to dupe gullible folks like me into divulging their credit card information and then either sell or share that info with other entities that will illegally debit your account without permission or providing any service. DOWNLOAD-PROVIDER.COM WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY!!! Steer clear of these ripoff creeps.

I fell for the same scam! They have only takin the $4.85 and charged 2 dollars more towards my account. Its Sun. Tomorrow I'm going to my bank, explaining this fraud and changing my account. What a pain in the a**!!! If anyone has information on how to shut this site down I would love to help!!

Don't deal with these people, don't touch touch them with a barge pole, they are out and out crooks. They will take your money for a 3 day trial offer. They won't provide any service other than directing you to their filth porn site which you didn't ask for. When your trial period runs out after 3 days, they will then start to bill you on your credit card. I made the mistake of paying them $4.95 for what I thought was access to latest release movies, only to be directed to their porn site. I have not been able to access the site for new release movie's, have received No Goods and when you try to contact them you are given the run around. I was prepared to write off the $4.95 and put it down to a bad experience, however after checking with my bank, it appears that they have billed me 3 times today so far, $60.00 + $60.00 + $14.50. I have informed my bank and the blood suckers have been disconnected from my card leaving my bank to sort out where we go from here. BE WARNED!

Unfortunately I put my details in to download some dvds aswell, only to find when you registered, those particular titles were no longer on their "list", my bank details had been passed on to several adult sites, and I'm now £77.00 lighter for the experience. If anyone can tell me whether their bank has had any success in reclaiming any of their lost monies I would be grateful, though I don't hold out much hope that my bank will be able to do anything. They say they'll try to get it back but I highly doubt they'll be successful, and as poor and skint as I am, I can hardly afford to be without £77.00. Am very, VERY angry with these people. Have emailed download-provider too but don't hold out any hope whatsoever of a satisfactory reply. Feel utterly, utterly gutted.

Go to http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx to file a complaint with the FBI, they will help. At least contact the local authorities via email

I totally agree with what you said earlier. I have too been victim of this scam company, who remarkably is still operating on the net (google) like if nothing happens.
Download provider does not work alone. I discovered there are other companies who work with it in the pursuit of crime.
For example I looked for a old song (Dreaming by Café Creme), it only exists in beemp3. There appeared three different options for speed and sound quality. When I selected an option immediately´Beemp3 took to me to download provider. I can´t believe at beemp3 doesn´t know nothing about download provider is a scam? I think beemp3 is an essential part in this.
Then I founded the following string mafia.
!) beemp3 took to me to download provider
    2) Download provider.
    3) "Bill help pro" is the third part in this criminal enterprise, who immediately debited the amount with the information that we provided to them, believing that all is legal. They are knowing that we never receive the service at we want but anyway they debit the amount. Bill hel pro is where supposedly one must cancel your membership from download provider and not keep paying after the trial period. I tried to cancel my subscription, but everything is a joke, I never received the mail confirming my cancellation.

If you have been victimized by this site and you live in the U.S. do a search for The Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3). or simply visit: www.ic3.gov

This site needs to be SHUT DOWN and it won't happen unless the victims do something about it. Don't just be satisfied with getting a refund with your CC company.

To ALL of you who post on this blog.

My most sincere THANK YOU. You have saved me a ton of problems and, of course, money.! I was about to sign up and saw the part where it tells you that they will charge the recurring fee. I decided to call their advertised number (877-848-3140) and, of course; it is always busy.

    Cheers.

I am another victim, wish I had googled them before I gave them my information. When I called my credit card company the rep said, "Wow, they tried to charge your card at least 15 times".

I filled out a copmlaint at www.ic2.gov and cancelled my credit cards.

thanks for this post...i luckily didn't sign up yet, ...and i tried what you said, and so then i tried really stupid names like this... i searched googoo papa kaka...and it returned TWO RESULTS!!!

as for those asking how to complain to the authorities... um, not sure how it works where you live, but here I'd have a hard time saying "I'd like to complain because some website I wanted to illegally download copyrighted material took my money".

I lost my money too :(, but I found this advice (unfortunatelly too late)
    http://link2-me.blogspot.com/2009/02/get-free-download-provider-premium.html
I tryed a 7 digit code and it works. The file I looked for isn't there but I have full access now to other torrents.

    hi,
yep i too was lured by the promise of tonnes of 'rare' torrents to download, however once i entered my debit card details i never recieved my confirmation email..suprise suprise...but i was still charged £11.10 (fortunately all i had in my account else god knows how much they would have took off me), wish i had took the time to check on google first..stupid me..
however whilst searching for this scam i came upon this site *http://www.lookupmybill.com/index.php?page=cancel* entered my membership details and my account is 'cancelled' weather this is actually the case i wont find out until later but ive read reviews on this site and they all seem promising i.e. your account does actually get cancelled.
on a final note i was able to find out where the guy who setup dll-provider.com is base from whois.com:
    Denis Ivashina
    P.O. 221
    Stockholm, , se 103 25
    P: +46.86622480 F: +0.0
Anyone wanna pay him a little visit? lol
