I talked to one of the owners of Dover Oil in South Toms River, NJ and received, what I thought to be a price of pumping out my existing oil from my underground tank and then having them remove the tank and dispose of it.

During this process, they were going to place a new oil tank in the basement and connect it up then pump the remaining oil back into the new tank with a filling of the new tank. I had the other owner Robert (Casey's brother) come over and after going over the installation, I asked about the outside tank. He said "We do not remove underground tanks, we just install new ones in basements or outside - above ground. He was very pleasant, but I just could not believe it after getting a price from his brother, so I called Casey and told him that I had a price from him and asked him twice to explain it. He then got very irate and even from the start, I felt like I was wasting his time and I just asked him twice, why I had a price from him to remove the outside tank. His final answer was "I guess I was just screwing with you then." I just could not believe the attitude of this "businessman".

I was looking for a complete fuel oil company to not only remove the old in - ground tank, and replace it with a basement oil tank, but an oil supplier, and maintenance for my equipment. I guess I'll have to go elsewhere. What a difference in brothers! He's the only other one who's been like that. All other contractors (at least 6) have been very pleasant, knowledgeable, and motivated and completable for my business. This was what happened from my point of view, and I don't know why.

After our our yearly maintence appointment yesterday, the technician FLOODED our basement because he did not know how to work our hybrid system! When we called Dover Oil, the answering service hung up on us several times, dispatched the call to the wrong technician, and we are STILL WAITING for a supervisor to call us back! HORRIFIC SERVICE, NO CUSTOMER SATISFACTION, AND DEFINATELY NOT WHAT THEY PROMISE! What happened to this family owned business and quality high standard service?

Has anyone ever had the problem of Dover Oil coming into your home to do "yearly maintenance" (a product you pay for) on a perfectly running furnace, only to acquire problems immediately after their so called "maintenance"? By this I mean, all is well until they perform their check and clean process, then you wind up with no heat, no hot water? This is what happened to me...more than once. Of course, then one must make a call to have them fix the problem. At this point the problem is suddenly a costly one, and you wind up paying an exorbitant amount of money to have the new "problem" fixed, when you had NO problem before they came in and messed around with the furnace? Seems like a scam to me. Anyone ever experience this?

Dover Oil is not doing a very good job of it here in Pine Ridge, we have to keep calling to have deliveries, they have given 2 people we know a price of a new furnace because they said their furnance was no good, these people got 2nd opinions and they did not need a new furnace, the one person we know got a new one but they did not get 2nd opinion. They filled us up last month and the day after we had no heat...What are you doing Dover Oil People? Get you acts together.

Not to burst anyone bubble here, but dover oil is strictly a heating and cooling company. They do not removal oil tanks and never will since they work hand in hand with many respectable soil remediation companies. I am sure you got a complete price for a removal and install being the price doesnt really change on either end; they would have istalled your tank and then contacted the company the work with to have them set you up with a removal. As for his comment about screwing with you, maybe it was a joke you took the wrong way since you got so frazzled over Dover not doing the remval it was his was of saying, calm the hell down. All you people come up contantly with the most ridiculous of requests and questions, so next time before speaking...don't.

I thought I had an arrangement with the oil company as to how the payments were going to be paid and timing of deliveries. Well to my surprise every month I was getting a late fee so I called to explain, they are so rude at the company in Toms River. I also explained to them that I would call for deliveries but they deliver it anyway. I will not deal with them again I told them to come get their oil. This is the attitude of people who have $. Well they better wake up cause were going into a depression and those with the big companies and mortgages will be the first to fall. See ya when you pass me going to the bottom. My house is paid for.
