I have never been treated so poorly or with such disrespect by a Dr. who was rated in the Top 10 best Eye doctors in NYC. He only seemed to care about doing surgical procedures, not about helping me care for my eyes. Moreover, when he mispronounced my last name, which is jewish, I felt an anti-semetic tone for the rest of my visit. I guess I can't say he was a racist, because the only color he sees is green! I would never allow anyone I know to go to see this man. His Yale and Cornell medical education don't make up for his comments and behavior toward me.
Maybe I was unclear! And by the looks of your picture, I will try to keep the words small and to the point. I had an eye emergency and I called the office and explained my issue to his staff. They told me to come right in. Unlike the Dr., his staff was respectful and calming. I was nervious and looking for an honest evaluation. As for the racist part, I did not take offense to what he said, it was the tone and obvious dislike that I observed on his face. From that point forward he was not the kind Dr., who had been described on the website, who was interested in helping me, he was a "Hilterish" villian, who seemed like he would rather gas me to death then fix my eyes! A better way to describe him would be a young Dr. Joseph Mangela. Also, I know the difference in an opto and a specialist. I didn't go to his office because I needed new contact lens or glasses. I had a cornea issue.

I just booked an appt. with Dr. Buxton for this Friday (May 5, 2017). I read the first review twice because of how stupid it is. He's a "Jew hater" because he mispronounced your name...POOR BABY...
My last name is unusual and mispronounced all the time...sometimes I correct the person and sometimes I don't...IT'S NOT IMPORTANT !
Forget about your eyes and get yourself a good neurologist ... your problem is in your head you big dummy.
Listen EyePain 911, Please go back to school and learn the meaning of racist . Dr. Buxton is not a racist. He is a very understandable, passionate man who cares about his patients. Believe me when I say as time progresses it is going to be worst in any doctor office as this medical reform gets passed. The time spent with doctors will be less. So guess what eyepain911 your going to be a** out. Your gonna have to pay top dollar to see a good doctor.
