Dollar Tree manager customer service quality

Today, 9 September 2014 at approximately 2:30 PM I went into Store # 1660 on Lititz Pike in Lancaster PA to request a refund. The clerk who had just opened the counter where I was waiting appeared a little confused by my request for a refund and looked to the acting Manager, Valerie (if my hearing was correct), for guidance. The manager was assisting another client who had purchased balloons, and was filing them up with air...Instead of coming over to the desk to speak to me in a professional manner, she kept her back me but turned her head just enough to advise the no refund policy...She advised that there was no time limit to exchange the items as they were not seasonal items, but she never once composed herself to come speak to me directly...I would have rather if they would have asked me to wait a few minutes while she finished waiting on the other customer and would have come spoke to me directly...Not talking over her shoulder as if I did not matter.

I am a bit disappointed by the no refund policy but see that this does appear on the receipt, so I cannot contest this...However, I do believe I can contest how a MANAGER rejects a customer's concern. I felt tossed away and disregarded and I can confirm that I WILL NOT be shopping there again other than to exchange the items I have purchased for which I no longer have a need. (They were bought for a party last week-end on the other side of the state, and I had forgotten to take the items with me.)

It would be much appreciated if Dollar Tree would provide their management teams a little civility and etiquette to ensure that their customers feel valued...

Dollar Tree mrs. dawn and carla

The store is a mess and they both have no clue of what they are doing. they expect that there employees do everything at once. You see them back and forth breaking there back and yet very rude to their employees and discriminating them like if that's ok for them no that not okay they should be fired. We need new managers and assistant manager that are willing to work and willing to work as team where everyone can get alone with one another. This is not fair for theses employees this [censored] needs to end!

I was at the store # 5938. Dollar tree at 6232 Mission St, Daly City, CA 94014 the manager Edwin has only one register open while there is 20 people in line. He came to open the other register n he said next in the line i stepped in n he yelled at me saying " I said next in the line not you" I said i am next in the line and three of the people in line speak up n said to him that is me next. he said ok just come here. with all attitude and aggrestion and when i asked him to open another register he said not your buisness then i said i am loyal customer here n looking for better service he said you know what you banned from coming here again!.
Can you belive that?! He left the poor lady in the register alone while he doesnt care. The worst customer service ever and he giving attitude and on top of the he keep banning people with no reason or authority. I dont know who i talk to about this but i value this buisness and this guy have to stop because he is giving everyone negative attitude and treating costumers so bad. my email is [protected]@yahoo.com. you can contact me at anytime to verify. Dollar Tree rude and disrespectful employee

I asked a worker by the name of Brandy if they had jumbo pencils in stock. She answered quickly rudely No. So I asked another associate for assistance. Brandy then intupted and said "I told you smart [censored] lady they don't have jumbo pencils. I said excuse me, and she repeated herself. I then asked for a manager. The another associate I asked for help went and found the jumbo pencils. The manager name Kevin had been standing there the entire time witnessing the incident and did nothing but laugh and stated he was off the clock. I am so upset that this employee Brandy caused a huge disturbance in the store and disrespected disrespected paying customers and used Obscene language around children in the store.

Dollar Tree store complaint

I was at store 6748 in Columbus, Ohio today, September 7, 2017 at 450pm. My car was broke into went in to see if there were cameras and told cashier why and he says "Really damn I hope no one got in my car" as his 2 friends are at his register and think it's funny and then proceed to tell me it's my fault I left it unlocked. How do you know if I left it unlocked unless you did it. I then go back in and ask to speak to manager and a young kid comes out and I tell him and he just blows me off. I tell him how the 2 guys outside are harassing us in a threatening tone that was scaring my kids and mom and he didn't do a damn thing or care. This store is a poor excuse for a store the employees are lazy, the manager doesn't care about customers and you can barely get through aisles due to boxes being all over on the floor from where product needed put away and they don't do it.

Dollar Tree lenoir city dollar tree

I got to the checkout line as the people in front of me were about to pay. There was a problem getting the customer's credit card to go through. The cashier who was an older lady said there was a new computer system and she wasn't familiar with it. She made no attempt to contact someone that was as she was complaining about the regional manager not being there to help acquaint them with the new system. I waited for ten minutes before the payment went through. Now after all my items were rang in, we had the same problem. After another 10 minutes goes by, she finally calls the store manager to the register. The store manager takes my card and tries to swipe it instead of using the chip. That also didn't work. Now she holds onto my credit card, moves the cashier over to the next register, yet another 7 minutes...the cashier now has to re-ring every item, that takes another few minutes... Now the total comes out to a different amount...she now has to re-ring everything again..I'm so fed up at this poiny I tell them this is ridiculous and I don't have anymore time to wait. A few minutes after I leave I realize they still have my credit card. I go back to the store and the cashier says she didn't see it. She calls the same manager over, (store manager) and she says she left it next to the credit card machine as she's turning around not even looking at me... obviously it was stolen. So I say someone must have taken it...they agree with me, make zero attempt to check cameras, help me out, or even apologize at all. Poor situation management, poor customer service, and poor training. Completely incompetent staff. I will never go to this dollar tree ever again.

Dollar Tree manager

Entered parking lot of my local Dollar Tree today & in 1 of the parking spaces was a car with 2 men spray painting taped off spots on a car. I went into store & asked for manager, asked her if Dollar Tree approved such behavior. She informed me that she could not tell them to stop, that that would have to be done be the properly owner. At this time I do not feel safe parking my vehicle in the parking lot at Dollar Tree, as any types of behavior happening in the parking lot is not the concern of Dollar Tree.

Dollar Tree customer service

First off I was in the store bought 31 items! When got to the line the I picked up a divider to put behind my items and the person in front of me their items! The male cashier snatched it from me and said No use this one picking up the one the other customer had in front of her items and he had the divider pointed at my face! So when he starts ringing my items he literally was throwing them in the bag and had way to much in the bag that things were falling out so I ask can you at least double Bag it as that will rip for sure! He refused and stated he just wouldn't put anything else in bag! I mean nothing else would fit! I then said just give me a bag and I'll bag my stuff then since he didn't know how to bag he said No he had it! He had food and cleaner items mixed in same bag and was just totally rude and would not do anything I had ask! Since my items were still falling out I reached and got a bag from the register next to where I was standing in line! The entire time this guy was very rude and shouldn't not work with the public! He then totals my order I hand him three coupons first one goes thru fine next two he just tapped the glass with coupon did nothing and said this is these two are not working making no effort to really scan! I knew they worked as they were for a roll of paper towels and I get them there all the time! Also if ever any issues a manager would come over over ride it or whatever all is great! I then told him just take the paper towlels off mybt So he didn't know how he asked a c worker how do you remove items the conworker stated hit F 6?or something not real sure so finally took off the paper towels! After all this awful and rude service he says no thank you or anything so I look at him and say well thank you thinking he would say thank you instead he says you're welcome! My granddaughter was like you shouldn't be thanking him I said I know and just walked out! I have lived this area for 34 years shopped at this dollar tree since it opened and never have I been treated so rude! My granddaughter was with me and even stated how rude he was to me! He should not be working with the public with that attitude and such awful customer service!

Dollar Tree employee

Your employees are seriously lacking in customer service skills. One in particular, I think her name might be Tosha asks you to put your shopping basket back where you got it before leaving the store..where do they do that at? Last time I checked she was receiving the paycheck not me. Should I ring up my own stuff too? I was in today and got ready to check out 4 guys were standing there by the register talking and me and a lady went to check out well surprise surprise it was the same tosha girl that was wandering around the store with just the one register open and when they called her to the front instead of checking us out she starts stocking energy drinks while we waited..ridiculous..

Dollar Tree employee/customer service issue

Good Day,

I would like to file a formal complaint against an employee/manager at the Dollar Tree at 1960 W Tennessee Street, Tallahassee FL. He is a fair skinned near white man with dark/black hair. His name tag said George, however I am not sure if that is his real name.

I was asked to get the "f*" out of the store last night 9/2/17 after calmly confronting George concerning a previous incident that happened a few weeks ago while purchasing items in the store. George also bumped me with his chest as if to provoke a physical altercation from me and threw my purchase items on the next aisle over.

A few weeks before I was in the store and waited in a line for about 30 minutes. There was no sign at the register stating "no cash". After the cashier confirmed my total, I attempted to hand her the cash. She said "I can't take cash". I told her I had been waiting in line a long time and can she just take the cash. She stated "no, you will have to wait in another line". I was shocked. I left the full amount of the items along with my two pennies of change that is owed to me.
I looked around the parking lot. There was no one around my car. I then heard someone banging on my trunk. It looked like an associate due to the green shirt but I was not sure. I said to myself "these people are really crazy".. certainly. So I pulled out and kept driving. I then saw the man chasing me down the street. I became a bit frightened at this point. I made sure my doors were locked and cracked the window. He said "you hit me". I said I did not hit you and kept driving. He was irate.
About one hour later a police officer showed up at my house. The police officer stated the man in the store parking lot accused me of hitting him with my car. I told the officer, if I hit him, it was because he planted himself behind my car. I looked back before I started backing. If he was hit... it was because he purposefully planted himself there. I was shocked to see him working in the store last night and was told he was the manager by another employee. I am asking that the video tape from both incidents be pulled... The one where I allegedly hit him with my car and the video showing he bumping up against me with his chest to provoke a fight and cursed me. I am concerned with why the store manager was standing behind my car at night? Was it over a $2.00 purchase that I paid for in full.. but refused to wait in a second line? I believe he planted himself behind my car out of anger and to provoke violence. I am asking that the restraint be lifted that he requested with the police department requesting that I not be allowed back in the store. I am asking for the two video tapes to be pulled along with this manager to be addressed for his near violent behavior. He attempted to provoke a physical altercation by cursing me out, bumping up against my chest and most importantly banging on the trunk of my car like a crazed maniac. Please email me at [protected]@yahoo.com and call me at 850/2720186. I am not always able to answer the phone but will check my email.

Thank you, Richlyn

yes hello to who this will concern but anyway what happened was Yesterday... The manager at the dollar store here in Frederick, Maryland on Jefferson street ...her name is Robin... threatened me for no reason... All I did was put something in the trash can on my way to a friend of mine to do some work... And she was out there talking to someone and told me there was nothing in that ash tray... I said so? I'm just throwing away something... She said if I do it again she's going to break my fingers... she was trying to imply that she didnt like when her cigarette butts go missing from out of the ash tray... but She was lying... I didn't do anything wrong... She did... so i just went on to my friends house... she had no reason to do that.. but .. if she didn't want them taken she should not put them there.. but people do do that... but it was about at 8 o clock am Monday morning

Dollar Tree employees

On Saturday September 2, 2017, I Deirdra B. Herbert visited the Dollar Tree at 10:51am to purchase items. While approaching the line to cash out; the line was long and another customer ahead of me had multiple items to purchase. I politely asked the cashier if there was another associate who could open another register. The cashier said, “I'm busy". The manager came out to open another register to get the line down. Then I was able to purchase my items and so was others. By the time I made it home I had a phone call from a relative saying to look on social media (Facebook). The dollar tree employee took to social media and posted a statement about me and used my full name. The name of the associate who used my full name on social media was Natasha Davis. The statement was "Why some black people so damn ignorant and always trying to seek attention...Dedra Bailey from across the river in Edgard, La came into the dollar tree today, we already busy and try to show her [censor] in my line. I'm da only cashier in here with her attitude" etc... I Deirdra Bailey have full proof and documents of the social media attack with dates and time of incident. I love to shop at dollar tree its very convenient and reasonable. I am very embarrassed because I live in a small town of Laplace, la and I also have a small business in Edgard, La. I was notified about the social media attack from various clients, family, and friends. I'm afraid to return for future purchases because she slandered my name on social media and I will inform family, friends and their friends about the horrible treatment and social media attack. I will no longer support Dollar Tree until something is done with the employee. The other employee involved in the comments on social media name was Iraneka Sanders. The documents I'm going to attach to this file has date, time and names of incident.

Dollar Tree management and theft

Hello. I am writing this complaint in regards to the Harrison Ohio store 4990. I am a former employee of this store. I worked in the store for over 3 years. I worked as an assistant manager at the store for 5 months to fill in for a girl on Maternity leave. I was told I was going to keep my position as an ASM, then later was cut because I was told the company was making cutbacks on ASM. since I was the last hired I went back to cashier. I was also promised if there was an opening for the position that I would be next in line to get it since I was already trained. fast forward a year and I waited patiently and a spot did open up. I believed my manager that I would for sure have my position back. well about 4 months before the spot opened up she had hired one of her friends. she played strong favoritism toward her friend and even gave her more hours than the rest of the cashiers who are supposed to be part time. well her friend who had only been there for a few months also applied. I really didn't have much worries since I had the training for it already and I've been with the company over three years. well rumors started spreading that she was hiring her friend over me without any consideration for me at all. she also set up a face to face interview with the DM for her days before I was interviewed and apparently met him on different occasions and she spoke highly of her friend and talked very down on me so her friend would get the position. I had to settle for a quick 10 minute phone interview. Well my manager hired her friend over me, which I've worked very hard for years for this position only to lose my career with Dollar Tree over favoritism with my manager. I was so very emotional distressed and embarrassed that I had to leave, feeling very unappreciated and felt that my career with Dollar tree was over and that no matter how hard I worked there, I would never move up in the company because my manager was unfair and played favorites. I was devastated! anyone in the store at 4990 will tell you that I was the better candidate and that the job should have been mine. many employees expressed to me how unhappy they were with my managers decision. The woman she hired is also a known drug user and was even told to not come into work high. but she still would. even one girl quit (a very good employee) because she couldn't handle her drug use and having to do her job because she was too high to do it herself. she can vouche for me. that is who they hired into management over me. Only been at the store a few months and a drug abuser. Another ASM who also works there is a thief and has stolen from the safe, deposits, and merchandise and post voiding merchandise for customers and letting customers also steal. She has had very little disciplinary action taking against her. I believe my DMs exact words to my manager was to have a "heart to heart" with her. The stuff that goes on there is just unbelievable and people like that get put into management over an honest hard working woman who wanted the best for my store and it is an embarrassment to the company. There are several employees at that location who can vouche for my complaint. I called corporate Monday and the told me they would investigate my claim and call me back. I have yet to hear anything. I'm willing to speak to anyone about this. please have someone contact me.I'd very much appreciate it. Thank you!

Dollar Tree customer service

I visited store number 1869 (dollar tree) in Irving, Texas on 8/30/2017 around 8:53pm. Immediately when I walked in store this rude employee who stated she is the assistant manager. Her name was Terri Thomas. When I walked into the store she immediately yelled we are close and you need to get what you need. So, I said excuse me then she stated that you need to get what you need. Which I feel is very rude and disrespectful to me or any customer. She also was very rude to another couple that was in front of me in the cashier line who was asking question about the price of water. I overheard her telling another employee they act like they don't understand. I asked the cashier by the name Courtney for the number for the compliant line. Which she tried to say she did not know it. Which I stated if you work here you have it. Then she asked the assistant manager Terri Thomas what the number was then she stated she doesn't have it. I told her if she is the manager she have it then she stated she is the assistant manager. I told her if she is the assistant manager she should have it wrote down somewhere. The cashier got a piece a paper and gave me the number [protected] which I called and recording saying green dot support which is for green dot cards. The gentlemen that was working on that shift was very polite. While he was letting me out the door he was apologizing how rude Terri Thomas the assistant manager was toward me. He stated that she is like that with everybody. I informed him that she doesn't need to work in management nor does she need to work with the public. I came home google dollar tree website and got customer service number which gave me number [protected] to call about a complaint.

Dollar Tree store employees

I recently visited the Dollar Tree in Prestonsburg in the Glynview Plaza. The store manager, identified by her name tag, was being very unprofessional with another store employee. They were talking about personal things I did not want to hear. I asked for assistance with some food items and they completely ignored me. I did purchase a few things. Not what I wanted, and proceeded to check out. I had to stand and wait for someone to come from outside because the employees were all outside smoking at the front of the store with the manager. I feel like they are there to socialize and not work. I will.not go back.

Dollar Tree store appearance

My local Dollar Tree on Rt 49 in Bridgeton NJ, doesn't keep up with the outside appearance of the store. A few times a month the trash cans out front will be piled high with trash over flowing to the sidewalk in front of the store. I thought it was a good idea to have one so close to me until i see they cant keep up with the appearance.
I pass this store everyday to and from work and after multiple times of seeing the trash for days, I stopped and spoke to the manager. Not only once, but a few times. I get the same answer thats they will take care of it. But yet it will still be there the next morning on my way to work. Its such an eye sore compared to the other Dollar Trees I have been too. My wife and I refuse to even go into the store anymore.

Dollar Tree discrimination

I am now a former employee...I loved my job . On the 23rd of Aug. we were busy as per the usual, I had gotten a bag of pretzels, went on my break, upon returning I noticed that the customer line was huge, I jumped back on my register to reduce the excessive line and reduce customer dissatisfaction. I totally forgot to pay for my pretzels at this time. Bill Pelossi the DM was in the store at this time and asked for my receipt, of which I immediately paid for. My concerns were for the store and not myself at this time and I got fired for this...the customers love me. I am one of your most loyal cashiers...never call out, always early, and never has Lynne the manager ever had to ask me to do anything, I just pitch right in. I am so hurt and angry. You never gave me the opportunity to face a board with this decission, and I feel this is so very wrong. There have been circumstances in other stores that have been citical errors an they've never been addressed...ASMs not opening their store, cops were called and nothing was done? no suspension? no reprermand? you explain this to me. I deserve better treatment than this. I feel as though I have been discriminated against.
Sadly,
Kim Heart-Wojton

Dollar Tree the treatment my wife (dollar tree manager) is receiving from another manager and her cronies

This is probably not a normal complaint. I am a disabled vet my wife suffers from ptsd and some medical issues, but chooses to work until she cant. She was hired about a month and a half ago. (todays date august 29th) she went from cashier to management quick. (No complaints) so far she been accused of lossing the office keys. She swore to them they were put back after her shift she called me crying cause she new they were just messing with her. (for a better understanding. Most everyone there are good friends. All involved are hispanic and we are cauc.) around a week later she was approached by a cashier (One of the managers best friends) she said dont tell so and so but here and handed over the supposed lost keys. My wifes hours have been dropped down to less then their worst cashier. She went in one evening to find the store in shambles. The morning head manager didnt do anything and said it was left there from the night before. Not only that but everything was like a on purpose mess. Needless to say ti was left for her to fix and clean. Remember they are all friends.. They also wont let her stay in store after 9:30pm thats only a half hour after the store closes. They had her come in a 5pm. Call me a lazy marine (Yeah right) this is harrassment.. She has been told of other illegal things that are going on and is scared as hell. Im not for now this is all I have to say. If you truely value your employees (Your hard working honest ones) then email me or somethinmg im not to sure how all of this works. Im on the verg of visiting an attorney.. My pledge when we married was that I would protect her from any harm, please dont let this slip thru the cracks.. Disgruntled spouse

Dollar Tree sunday philadelphia inquirer

We are able to buy the Phila. Inquirer for $1.00 at the Dollar Trees in New Jersey. Within an hour, they are sold out. Previously, a few people would BUY every one of them. After many complaints, the Westmont store put a 3-paper limit on the Phila. Inq. However, within an hour AGAIN, they are sold out. Last week, there were two women who had accumulated an entire cardboard box of newspapers. How difficult is it to get people to buy 3 papers and give them two? Aparrently, they must work in teams to buy the papers to resell (possibly at churches). The Inquirer is now $3.00 so there must be profit it what they are doing.

I told the checkers that they should ONLY sell one per person. Who needs more than one paper? The gentleman was very exasperated and said "it says on the door 3 papers per person". Is that any way to treat honest paying customers? I said there was something unscrupulous going on and they were perpetrating it!
