Dollar Tree employee talking about her store manager while customers are shopping

I was at Dollar Tree on Belmont ave Youngstown, Ohio about 6:0 pm on December 6, 2017. As I entered the store, the store manager was leaving, as I was looking for a basket for my items - the other store manager ( Shauna ) and a cashier were discussing the manager in a very demeaning way . The store had customers and they did not care who over heard them . Shauna also said that she was ready to tell the manager all about her self, and what will they think she she quits without notice - she got this job she can get another - also she was hired by the manager of that store but by corporate office . They continued to have their discussion even while the cashier was checking out customers. I have never heard such behavior in a store before - I hate to say it but I will really think about before I ever enter this store again.

Dollar Tree parking lot & inside of store

Reference: Store #6738
Location: 6302 South Dale Mabry, Tampa Fl. 33611

On 11-23-17 The parking lot was loaded with a lot of loose trash. Looked
as tho there had been a party & all trash was left. I said this to the woman
at the register & she said an outside company cleans.

Today, 12-6, parking lot was cleaned; however, the large mat inside the
entrance looked as though it had never been cleaned. The stinking dirty
smell was terrible. It was smells of dirty body odor & trash. This store
has gone down hill fast in the last month. I won't be going back to it.

Dollar Tree "santa hat" that said merry christmas

We went into the Dollar Tree to pick up some last minute items for our Lodge...stockings, SANTA hats, candy, ect.. As my husband was checking out, when it came to the HAT that said Merry Christmas it wouldnt scan so the clerk called for the manager Tia (her name) and she proceed to tell my husband that she would not sell him the HAT. She was extremely rude! He asked her why and her response was I'm Not Selling it to You! My husband was mortified and embarrassed that you would employ management such as this for a customer service based business. We did not purchase ANY of the items. From now on we will definitely take our business elsewhere. If we treated our guests like this we would not have our beautiful Lodge. This is deplorable.

Dollar Tree customer service

Tonight, I went to the Dollar Store in Lehi, Utah. I was disgusted by how I was treated by "Austin". I cheerfully asked 2 questions about the availability of a product. His annoyed and disinterested reply was a curt "nope". I thanked him and browsed the store...and found the item! I just don't understand how you can be so short with people, especially customers who are patient and kind. Disheartening. It makes me never want to return to the location.

Dollar Tree terrible customer service

The worst experience EVER! I placed an online order for chargers to be used at our Christmas holiday party. I ordered 2 cases and requested for them to be delivered to the store for pick up. I arrived yo pick up my items and there was only 1 box shipped. I looked at my receipt thinking I made a mistake but no I️t clearly shows that I ordered 2. I called them and after 30 minutes on hold they had no explanation why they only sent me half my order. I asked to speak to a manager and they told me that they were gone for the day and will escalate this issue. They told me that I will be contacted within 24-48 hours. [censor]! I needed these in 48 hours. So they couldn't help me and were extremely unprofessional. Will ever use them again? Hell no.

Dollar Tree rude manager

One as at the register when a pizza delivery guy shows up with what looked like their lunch. He asked for a Toby? They called Toby over the speaker and I believe it was Toby that showed up. The driver informed him that the address was wrong and Toby said when he gives the correct address Google maps take them to a different area. The driver suggested placing the name of the store in the order. Toby said I do all the time and they still can't find it. The driver suggested a phone number of he had questions, but before driver could finish Toby walked off. I don't know exactly what was going on but your store manager was rude. Didn't seem to care and if that's the kind of customer service he going to show in front of other I'm not coming back to this store.

Dollar Tree store manager/unethical behavior

I visit the Dollar Tree on a regular basis & have had several encounters with manager, David Jensen. I am disabled & walk with a cane or sometimes a walker. On many occasions I have tried to safely enter the store but have encountered cars who insist on parking & blocking the entrance to the front door...even the handicap access has been blocked making it very dangerous for anyone with a walking disability to get into the store safely. I spoke with store mgr, David Jensen, about this situation & was totally shocked by his response. The Assistant Store Mgr was present along with several other customers who heard his response to me. He stated that it was not his responsibility to keep cars from parking in the fire lane directly in front of the store & that he had no responsibility for handicapped people trying to enter the Dollar Tree. I did inquire about his knowledge of the Americans With Disabilities Act which does offer protection those with disabilities & he said "quite frankly, I do not care about people with disabilities trying to enter his store & quite frankly it was not his problem." Needless to say, it was impossible to try to discuss it further with him. I have had 30+ surgeries & have earned the right to handicap parking & access to any store by LAW. It would take very little effort on his part to make the store access safe for everyone...example: placing cones in the fire lane, placing no parking signs directly in front of the store to include the small area where the curb is flattened for wheelchair access. Call the police & have them let folks know they are breaking the law. Mr Jensen laughed at all my suggestions, turned his back on me, went into his office & slammed the door.
The store itself is filthy...floors probably not been mopped since the store opened. There are unopened boxes on every aisle. The Dollar Tree offers good products at good prices. With a Store Manager that actually cared about his store, it could be a GREAT place. Sadly, with the likes of this store Manager, it is not going to happen. I do not expect any action to be taken regarding my complaint. I do have protection under the Americans With Disabilities Act & will not hesitate to use them should I be hurt or injured while in or on your property. With the high level of traffic through that area, it is just a matter of time until someone is hurt. Your store manager has NO regard for people with disabilities. Due to his lack of knowledge of pertinent laws & his obvious lack of respect for individuals entering the store...he should be fired immediately as he is a BIG LIABILITY for the Dollar Tree.

I have worked at the Dollar Tree for 5 n half years. I take the extra time to help people with disabilities and i am very happy with my decision. What will happen when we are in need of help when we are shopping if we are handi-cap. I give my assistant to the disables, wheel chairs, crutches to make sure that they get help to get out the doors. Its called customer appreciation, i excuse myself to the next person in line to help the person in need out the door. If i remember it is our policy to help. Make yourself proud to help someone in need because someday you might be the one that needs help. Customers come back because "someone" took the time to help them

Me and my husband and our son went to the Dollar Tree on Augusta Road in West Columbia South Carolina 29169 Sunday 3-17 at 6:30 p.m. to go in and grab a couple things we are regular customers there. Me and my husband and our son was walking around in the store grabbing stuff that we need our son had his sunglasses on top of his head he took them off and put them in his pocket and he took out his little Hot Wheel car out of his pocket we was still in the store getting more items that we need walking up to the cash register our son was with us the whole time at the cash register the manager name Brandon ring us up he accused our son of stealing a pair of sunglasses. I told him and also my husband said the same thing to him our son did not steal the sunglasses he got them 2 days early before his birthday from his auntie our son who is 4 years old who is about to be 5 years old very smart and intelligent. The man name Brandon kept saying that our son took the glasses he kept watching our son like he was a criminal I am a security officer for over 10 years. Brandon the manager was basically judging our son. he discriminate our son is African American and Jamaican he was judging our child by the way he look our child has dreads that is a part of his inherent tip. Please please just remove him from that store Brandon the store manager he do not need to be there I just can't believe that Dollar Tree will hire racist people and people who discriminate because of the color of your skin and because I have the way you look I felt so embarrassed so upset I had to explain to our child that people out here do mean things to each other. Long as that manager Brandon at that store I will not return to that store and Shop anymore. So please reach back out and somebody get in touch with me and let me know that the problem will be taken care of if it don't I will go to the news 19 and report that and I will give them the statement that I sent to y'all letting them know that no I got back in touch with me so please please get in touch with me and let me know that y'all deal with this issue thank you very much.

Dollar Tree assistant manager

On two previous occasions I have been shopping in the store in hallandale FL 33009 on my receipt it says store number 5178. Both times were horrible experience. There is this assistant manager named Mircea on his name tag who is very rude and disrespectful to all the employees and manager. He uses very vulgar language and has a very mean and unprofessional attitude. I made a complaint both times and I was told he will be written up and if it continues further action. Today December 5 2017 was 3rd time I visited this month. Once again every employee was friendly except that assistant manager. He still was using improper conduct with the other employees and other customers. What made me go online and contact this time was the fact that in the mist of is rage he not only knocked over my basket on purpose he pushes me into the self without and apology or excuse me. When I told him I didn't appreciate that he says to me that I saw him walking and I should have moved. This is last straw. Im 58 and will not be assaulted verbally or physically especially while spending my money. I want something done about this. If not I will pursue further action.

Dollar Tree check out female named samara

Store #6165

On the 1st of December, I shopped at this Dollar tree and headed to the cashier line. Only one cashier was working and had a line forming. I noticed another woman wearing the Dollar Tree apparel and I asked her in a nice fashion if she was going to open another register. This person totally ignored me, so I waited a bit and asked her a bit louder the same question. Again I was ignored to the point that a woman behind me remarked " she's ignoring you", as this person got a bit closer, I simply tapped her shoulder to ask her for the third time.

This person (Samara) turned to me and started to berate me about touching her, screaming and acting totally out of control. She claimed that I had pushed her, which I hadn't. This same individual took me to the register I had inquired about. She very artificially thanked me in a loud sarcastic fashion, for shopping at Dollar Tree.

I frequent different Dollar Tree stores in my area. My total for that visit to store #6165 was almost fifty dollars. I did call once I got home and requested to speak with the store manager. I was told that she was not in, so I asked for the name of said manager. I was told that Samara was the store manager, the same woman whom had screamed at me and acted as if she was out of control. I called a second time and the one that answered the telephone was Samara herself. I asked for the District Managers contact information, and this Samara promised to email the District Manager and give her my telephone number.

So far, no one has contacted me and calling the corporate number is a study in frustration as no live person ever comes to the telephone. I need to report this incident as I felt threatened as a customer, not to mention humiliated by this Samara. Something must be done, and the first step is to have someone contact me.

Dollar Tree witness to poor treatment of employee!

This complaint is regarding
Store # 1633

I am a regular customer at dollar tree. I witnessed manager Paul Brown speak to his employee in a degrading manner. He insinuated that she was doing nothing and complained about inventory being all over the store. When in fact this employee was previously helping me and other customers as she was restocking items. The employee remained calm and listened to her manager. She agreed to just put away the inventory and went on with her job.

I have a problem with the way he addressed his employee. He really spoke to her in a non professional manner and said it loudly so other customers heard it in the store.

I support and shop at dollar tree because it has great deals and products of good quality. But there are plenty of other stores around here like dollar general, dollar zone and family dollar, etc. If needed I will share this bad experience with my community, local business bureau, friends and on social media.
I'm going to check with this employee in the near future. Please take care of this situation. Great companies that succeed run on the inner growth of their company culture.

Dollar Tree manager at store on state road 84 and 136 st davie fl store #4452

Hello,
I would like to file a complaint about an aggressive and very rude Manager at the store located on State rd 84 and 136 St Davie 33325 FL(Store #4452). The Manager refused to give me her name as she was not pleased with me asking her for it. My 2 year old son and I were shopping at this location this Monday (December 4th 2017) morning. When we got to the teller we were very rudly told they could not break a $50 dollar bill. The teller was the manager. I then used my credit card to pay for my items. In the middle of my purchase the manager walks out the front door leaving it half open and yells at an elderly woman whom works for her at the store these were her word to the woman gathering carts in the hot sun outside "COME ON WALK FASTER... RUN, WHAT DID I TELL YOU ABOUT LEAVING YOUR LIGHT ON AT THE REGISTER! GET YOUR BUT IN HERE AND CHECK PEOPLE OUT NOW!" I could not believe how disrespectful and down right nasty this manager was treating her employees and an elderly lady at that! The woman jogged into the store with her head down as the manager scowled at her as though she was yelling at a dog.
My name is Victoria Fornalski my email is [protected]@aol.com I would like to receive a responce to know that this matter has been reviewed. Thank you

Dollar Tree store itself

Yes I took my service dog into the piney flats tn store and one of the worker told me I couldnt have him in there with out a vest. But he had his id card on him.
Business may not:
Require special id for the animal
Ask about the person's disability
Charge fees because of the animal
Refuse admittance, isolated, or treat this person less favorable than others.
This is on the back of his id card she did treat me with disrespect and told me that he had too have his vest on too come in which he doesn't have to have. He has his Id card and a certificate which I showed too her. And she has done this twice and refusal to provide equal access to people with disabilities with a service animals is a federal civil rights violation, provided by the American disability act of 1990.

Dollar Tree online purchase of puzzle books

Order number EC3857112, I ordered from your website expecting to receive "assorted" large print crossword puzzle books. I expected to receive 24 different books. Perhaps, my definition of assorted was incorrect, but I certainly should not have received 24 puzzle books where only two different volumes were present; how is that assorted? When I then called customer service and was told no returns are accepted, certainly exceptions can be made. I was given no such option. I think your wording is very deceptive at best. I purchased these books for my 92 year old mother who is an avid crossword puzzle worker. I would like this situation rectified.

Dollar Tree stock not put out and manager doesn't follow protocol

Hi I live in Lafayette TN and visit the Dollar Tree stores very regularly. I do a lot of crafts and love getting my supplies from your stores. I even post what I make on your fb craft site advertising what I've made and that everything came from the Dollar Tree. I am very disappointed in the Lafayette store. Every time I've gone over the entire month of November they've had Christmas stock in boxes and not out on the floor. By Thanksgiving weekend I thought for sure the stock would all be out and when I visited last weekend stock was still sitting in boxes on the floor and what Christmas stock they had out had already been picked through and the Christmas wall was VERY EMPTY. I had ask a cashier weeks ago if they were going to get more stock and her response was they have so much stock in the back they just can't get to it. This made me think they were understaffed. The next week I had a return and I had my receipt. I only wanted to do an exchange. I learned who the manager was. I moved to Lafayette from Portland. She swapped out the items without ever having me sign anything or reringing what I had returned and deducting it from my receipt. Yesterday I realized I had forgot an item I needed to finish my centerpiece so I went to your Portland TN store which is 40 minutes from me. I took some items back that I had bought as a substitute for what I really needed for my floral arrangement hoping the Portland store would have what I needed. I had bought these items at the Lafayette store. Not only did Portland have what I needed I was amazed at the stock they had on the floor and remembered how nice the Portland store was. This time when I made my return I didn't have my receipt but thought it wasn't going to be a big deal. Well I was wrong. The manager showed me on the bottom of another receipt their store policy. She let me swap my items but said next time to keep my receipt. It was then I realized it was the management you have at your Lafayette store and not the store itself. I love Dollar Tree. I often visit your Hendersonville and Gallatin store as well and they are all nice and well stocked. So my complaint is against your management of the Lafayette store. She is not following your protocol and not managing your stock very well.

Thanks for time

Jennifer Stine
