How responsive is Dollar Tree's customer service?

Very poor 🤒
We don't know much about how Dollar Tree handles customer complaints outside ComplaintsBoard, but what we see here, on our website, is quite disappointing. We think there might be reasons for the company's actions (like not knowing about the complaints), and we would be happy to see them among customer-focused businesses that easily solve customer problems. But until that happens, we ask reviewers to be cautious when dealing with Dollar Tree and using their services, and to carefully read the experiences of other customers on ComplaintsBoard, because who is warned is armed, you know! 💪

Dollar Tree store service in regards to merchandise

Shelfs are never stocked fully, barely anything on them. Service is slow and un-helpful, ESPECIALLY when it comes to checking the back for products. Service says "truck will be in by the end of the week"yet when I come back NOTHING, I can still come in the following week ... NOTHING AGAIN . Unreliable when it comes to when products will be out and very unclean- never situated.

Dollar Tree dollar tree store 398 n congress ave boynton beach florida

Dear Sir/Madam
My wife and I entered this store Saturday night the 29th of July and were rudely intercepted by the Cashier with the phrase. "You're trying to sneak in, we're closed! As we walked out I noted the time it was exactly 8:57 not 9:00 which is the posted closing time for this Dollar Tree store. This was not only rude behavior but totally uncalled for. The doors were open and we were in no way trying to "sneak in" as this insulting young woman insinuated. Bad business and quite frankly uncalled for behavior.

Dollar Tree hostile store environment

Went to purchase 4 items, have a severe headache just wanted to get what I purchased and go. Cashier would not finish the transaction because she asked me how I was and I would not answer. So I told her I only want one item and my receipt to hurry the transaction. I don't know this person just wanted to make a purchase. The creepy looking dirty looking guy started swearing and said have some respect. Respect about what? I don't know this cashier and my personal business is not hers and did not speak to her. She kept asking me personal questions that were not her business. The guy behind me started swearing again and threatened me "If he ever sees me in the store again. I told him I would call the police if he did not stop bothering me it was none of his business also. I was upset and very angry at these people who I did not even know who could not mind their business so they kept on until they provoked me to say a few choice words back; because they don't seem to know when to quit and just quietly purchase my item and go. Is this the kind of harassment I can expect at your stores. I was ready to call 911 as I left the store; I thought for sure the guy behind me in line was going to chase me after I left the store and physically assault me. All I wanted was to purchase 4 items and go and got all this harassment and intrusiveness.

Dollar Tree customer injury due to cashier

My 7 yr old was asked to put his hand in the conveyor by the cashier to reach quarters than had fallen in. The machine was not shut off and his hand was pulled in. He was screaming and very distraught. His hand and arm were stuck. The cashier was more concerned with the money then the injury. An in store report was taken but the manager took no pictures and had very little concern. My son's hand is quite swollen but he is more emotionally distraught then anything. This was a reward trip where the kids got to spend their chore money and instead he ended up hurt. Quite a reward! It's a shame. Employees should NEVER have a customer do such things. The store did not seem overly concerned about it in any way. At this point I will never be returning to your stores if this is the way things are handled. To know an employee is more concerned over 2 quarters than a child is appalling.

Dollar Tree service

I walked in Tuesday morning to return my application in but for stopped by a customer that's stated he was a close friend of the manager told me it was a better idea to come back Monday morning because the manager does on site interviews every Monday so I said okay and waited. So Monday morning come I get dressed up and head in dollar tree 10 mins before 9. As I wait inside for the manager she comes to me and another lady that applied and took my application looked at it and said she didn't need cashiers mean while we're still standing and talking I feel is very unprofessional she tells me she don't need cashiers when I come in the store 2x a week and the lines are very long. She told me that she was tired of going through this because people quit on her all the time and that has nothing to do with me. After she tells me she don't need help with cashiering I tell her whatever she needs help with I can do She said ok and walks off while I'm still talking goes to the back room and don't come back out. I Keep saying manager because I don't even know her name that's how rude she was. Who wants to work for someone so unprofessional. I mean when you look at this woman you feel bad vibes no one would want to experience what I did. Something needs to happen immediately.

Dollar Tree management

I love coming to Dollar tree in Houston MS. There is a guy manager that works there that makes my day and makes me smile everytime I come in the store. He has a great personality and nice altitude and is very professional and love his job. I wish it was more people in business just like him today. Some of the management there is nice except 1. I cant think of her name but she real fat and chubby and has a bad altitude and a [censor] mouth and gives bad ridiculous customer service. I don't know how she got in a Proffessional field of Management but she needs to be retrained on her customer service skills and have a smile on her face with a yes 100% altitude.

Dollar Tree manager and heat

Was in the Hernando Ms store today and the manager (robin) has a filthy mouth. The cashier was calling for the store manager. Robin was putting up freezer stock. Robin threw the boxes that she had and I quote " what the [censor] does she want". How can you have a person that works with the public that has a mouth like that. I'm glad I didn't have my grandson with me. And also the air in the store does not work. It's so hot in the store. Can you please fix the air. Also can you please have the manager take some public relations classes.

Dollar Tree customer complaint

I was shopping in your store yesterday. And I witnessed a situation I was not happy with. I was in the balloon center and I heard this employee yelling at another one. I looked over and saw this shorter tan skinned lady yelling at another taller white employee. You could tell that the taller girl was uncomfortable. it continued as the shorter girl worked towards the office and she followed her. The whole thing made me feel some type of way and I don't feel like anyone deserves to be treated that way.

Dollar Tree store manager

Store Manager at 193 Boston Post Road, Marlborough, MA - told my friend she was not allowed in the store in a wheelchair! This person is wheelchair bound due to terminal illness and loves shopping at that particular store, over the other store in the same town. He was very rude to her after she was pushed into the store by a family member.

Has he never heard of the American Disabilities Act (ADA)? If your managers are not aware of this act they need to be trained ASAP! Even if he was mot trained, common sense should have told him in today's day and age, that all buildings must be handicapped accessible!

Dollar Tree management

The management at geneva dollar tree so favortizm towards certain employees and talks down to others. Its sad then I can stand in line an hear them be little there employes. Like they where beneath them or somthing. But when they r busy there is one one cashier on and takes forever for them to come help then management has a discusting look on there face cause they had to help the cashier. Or they r to lazy to come out the office. Only if someone did a surprize visit they would have a dumb look on there face.

Dollar Tree customer service cashier at checkout

I am a customer who is filing a complaint toward cashier young girl named Stacey! My name is Cindy Ortiz [protected] email [protected]@icloud.com I entered your store and had coupons give in mind I love your store just recently found out you except coupons through Facebook but never in my right mind did I ever think I would humiliated, embrassed, and disrespected for the whole line of customers to witness as well! Given the fact I have used coupons in my hometown of Lancaster who gladly excepts them with no problems!I had 5 coupons all different items cashier had a problem with me using coupons didn't want to take them I explained that your store did take coupons and she said "yeah I know" speaking to me in a very rude manner I asked her to see if she could scan coupons to see if they applied to your products and refused felt like I had to beg to use at least two which I ended up saving $1.55 which as a couponer any money saved is a deal and when needing to pay difference in the worst tone and manner I have ever had to deal with a cashier was told are you going to pay the difference or what I understand fully I had to pay but the way she said it so rudely infront of my 3yr old daughter with customer just staring wondering why there was a problem when all I wanted to do was use my coupons! I could understand Store policies but to.make a customer feel dumb and insecure for couponing is wrong I have never in my life dealt with such a rude cashier as bad as this one in my life and about to be 30 that says a lot& for my daughter to witness such hate is truly sad! My husband parked infront of the store right where the doors are and as I was leaving I just here her laughing with the other cashier and even customers you know I'm not some rite of joke especially not for her to tell other customers that really felt like high school days where she was being a bully and I'm not in high school for that to happen to me so I went back in the store and asked to speak to the manager and was told by cashier named Sara that I couldn't speak to one till Monday.I was I. That store on a Saturday 7/22/17 time as shown on receipt 20:33, to know that there is no one to complain to or a manager to speak with isn't right and don't believe cashiers should be without supervision as far as I know and have worked there is always some type of supervision or manger during the shifts! I wouldn't be wasting my time writing this but to then feel in my heart that maybe I should just give up on coupons or have a fear or insecurity that next time I go in I will be treated that way with my child next to me makes me sick! I truly hope my voice will be heard cause to wait and possibly not have a manager hear me truly plain sucks and I just don't want to feel like this again or see it happen to another customer ! How do I explain when I got in my car when my daughter asked why was the girl mean for her to even have to ask that after shipping at one of your stores is just horrible! Sincerly a customer who needs help on not being mistreated next time Cindy Ortiz phone# [protected] email [protected]@icloud.com thanku once again Dollartree Store# 1535 222East Palmdale Blvd Palmdale, ca [protected]

Dollar Tree management

I work at the dollar tree store in Sun Valley California the one off of Glenoaks blvd I am an Assistant Manager at this store with an open workers comp claim I was assaulted by a crazy homeless person 4 months later my working environment is hostile I ended up getting legal counsel when originally I just wanted medical attention, to heal, and get back to work what inspired me to write this complaint is what has happened in the last week or so I have been working on light duty with my arm in a sling doing the best job I can do

recently since wages have increased to 12$ in California dollar tree has decided to decrease hours so at this particular location a lot of people like to come last minute the manager Jose decide to cut hours by letting the cashiers leave 30 min early so for the last 30 min I'm left in the store being the only cashier with long lines after ringing up all the people sometimes its 930 the time were expected to be clocked out and leaving the store so of course I have to stay longer to complete the deposit count the safe the tills etc the next day he yells at me for going over in hours I tell him look there's a long line I'm the only person he then tells me I've been doing it all week with no problem (now remember I've been running the store with one arm since the other arm is in a sling and can't be used) he also tells me that I owe him hours so I need to leave early to pay back those hours

dollar tree has also decided to cut my hours to 8 hrs a week and hire an assistant manager to replace me since this has happened he treats me like crap his goal is to make me mad enough to quit

the other night I came in I was supposed to be the manager that night behind my back he rescheduled the manager he hired to replace me to be the manager that night and told me to be the cashier he made her aware of every little mistake I've made being manager and told her not to do it and made sure he said it in front of me it wasn't just that he treated me like crap in front of customers even some customers were like you shouldn't be cashiering and he shouldn't be treating you that way also you can ask any employee repeat customers always come in and ask about me I've been at this store since it opened in 2014

after I was hurt he tried to fire me he wrote me up 5 times in one week for things that happened months ago luckily I had an attorney at this time and they threatened to sue so this stopped after that he has been trying his best to get me to quit

honestly this is ridiculous I shouldn't have to put up with a hostile working environment I hope not all dollar tree employees that have been hurt on the job have to put up with this

also this manager is rumored to be sleeping with an employee named Jessica all the employees talk about it a bunch are thinking about complaining since she gets all the hours and of course all the extra hours every time I need someone he says hold on 1 second later he says Jessica will do it that's not even enough time to call or text someone people have seen them getting in cars together when he didn't have a car she took him home (I assume) but they stayed in the car for a long time before pulling off it's sickening since the previous manager was let go for this among other reasons

Dollar Tree customer service

In order to get exercise, I walked to the Dollar Tree store located @ 2300 W. Davison Ave. in Detroit, Mi 48238. Once I got to the checkout line, I asked the cashier for a large bag instead of several small ones to make my walk easier. It started to rip, so, I requested she double bag my items to prevent them from falling on the ground. She went on about how the bags weren't designed to hold a lot of items...how they were reserved for paper products only...how the company didn't send her alot so she had to save them. Blah blah blah. So I asked that my items be double bagged again. She started talking back so I went to another employee & requested the manager. She told me that the lady cashier, Sandy, was the manager. I asked for the corporate office contact info. She told me she was busy. I said I'll wait & demanded she give it to me. She said, "I ain't getting you nothing cuz you rude. I'm gone finish taking care of my customers." I can't believe this came about due to the request of my items being double bagged...a request that required no conversation at all. Ultimately, I ended up @ another store owned by an entirely different entity where the customer service was awesome & I got my double bags to make my walk easier.

Dollar Tree manager

I have gone in to my local dollar tree on a few separate instances recently, and one employee has me very concerned for the state of the company. I was unaware that it is now considered fine for employees to work at the registers in skin tight tank tops, and also that it is ok to have music blasting from their phones on the registers as well. I was also unaware that it is fine to let products as well as trash build up in the front of the store where everyone can not only see it but also trip over! I wonder at the management that allows the managers in their district to behave like this. As for the store and the offender, the stores address is 123 Willow lane, Mcdonough Georgia 30253, and the 'Manager' in question is named Edith. I sincerely hope that you have a solution to this issue. Thank you.

Dollar Tree olivia at store # 6133

Hello,

I went to the Dollar Tree located at 3425 Belair Rd, Baltimore, MD 21213 on July 16, 2017 to partake in the 10% off sale.

Upon placing my items on the checkout-conveyor belt, I asked the cashier if there was in fact a 10% off deal that day. She wasn't certain so she asked what appeared to be her supervisor, Olivia. Olivia replied, yes. Olivia then asked the cashier if the customer (me) had the actual voucher, if not, I would not be able to receive the discount. When I heard Olivia's statement, I informed the cashier that I didn't have the voucher in my possession. She repeated that to Olivia. Olivia asked if I had more than 10 items. The cashier and I both replied, yes. Olivia then said, we'll see after you ring her (me) up. That didn't make sense to me. So I told the cashier if I'm not going to receive the discount, I don't want the items, so I need the explanation to be clear. Olivia was not consistent and it was causing confusion. The cashier then asked Olivia for clarity. Olivia responded in the most discourteous of tones, "like I said, if you doesn't have the voucher, you can't get the discount." I was taken aback, as her response was not warranted. At this point I told her that I would be contacting corporate and to stop speaking to me. A customer gave me a voucher since she saw what was going on. I thanked her and asked the cashier for the supervisors name.

I completely understand that the voucher was needed. I also understand that Olivia was not lucid in her responses. A customer attempting to gain clarity should not invoke a response of that nature, especially not from a supervisor.

I trust that you will speak to Olivia about polite customer service. I am a frequent shopper at this particular location and expected to be treated as a valued customer. I hope you would look into the matter, and make sure such an incident is not repeated. Your company has been known to provide good services, and such events tarnish the company name, so please address this issue soon.

Thank you!

Dollar Tree towing issue

At 680 Bailey Road, Pittsburg, CA. 94565 Dollar Tree shares the same parking lot as Safeway at 660 Bailey Road, Pittsburg, CA. 94565.

Safeway has started a program to tow cars that have been parked longer than 1 hour, but there is no posted warning. This effects your customers too.

I visited the Dollar Tree, Burger King and then Safeway yesterday and it took longer than an hour and I was towed. Obviously I am not going to shop at any of these places anymore.

Since this effects you, you might want to let them know to STOP. It is unethical to tow your own customers or the customers of the stores next to you.
