Dollar Tree very poor customer service

I visited your Lindenhurst, NY store located on Wellwood Avenue today 8/12/18 with my 16 yr old daughter. Although she prefers the Dollar Tree on Montauk Highway because the isles are neater this location was more convenient today.
While checking out there was only one line open. The cashier called for cashier assistance and another lady opened her drawer. While doing so she spoke out in a very stern voice for the next customer in line to go to isle 3. That was the lady in front of me and I followed her. I loaded some of my items into a basket I was also purchasing onto the belt. As the cashier began to ring up my order she told me in a very unpleasant tone that I needed to remove the items from my basket. I did so. She had a scowl on her face the entire time she rang up my $34 purchase. This is not the first time I have felt unwelcomed and treated coldly in this location. I feel there is a lack of customer service training in this particular location, as my family are fans of all the other local locations of Dollar Tree. I will not be returning to the West Babylon store.

Dollar Tree treatment when I was checking out of the store...

Hello: I was in the Dollar Tree Store today, Sunday, August 12, 2018, at the 1976 White Mountain Highway location in Conway, NH. As I have in the past I submitted my personal check for payment for my purchases. The scanner would not accept my check. The cashier said the reason was my check design; all checks have some sort of design on them. She said it was a new scanning system. I was FORCED to pay with my credit card. What if I didn't have a credit card (believe it or not some choose not to have them) or cash? The cashier further added insult to injury by saying "checks are extinct"!

I consider this discrimination by Dollar Tree because I chose to use a check to pay for my purchases. What!

I am not happy, and I am definitely not happy with the cashier's insensitive remark to me. What made her think it was okay to give that opinion. She is representing your company. Is this type of treatment in Dollar Tree's company policy handbook given to their employees?

Too bad there isn't a link within your website to let NH Better Business Bureau know.

Dollar Tree employee (savannah) threaten and profanity

Dollar Tree employee (Savannah) threaten me about 4:18 pm address 214-50 Jamaica Ave Queeens NY 11428 she was very loud and yelling when I came in the store with my 12 year old granddaughter with her he other cashier but my problem started when she yelled next I proceeded as Savannah rang up my item I said can you put the lemon juice in a bag with the other things she said "WHAT Do you want I'm double bagging it I told I didn't need double bags she became rage while sucking Her teeth and let me know that "I GET OFF at 4:30 I'll see you outside ! I took this as a threat deal with this employee please before I contact the POLICE again I feel threatened i will no longer go there til she is MOVED my concern is she will follow through on me or someone else I am a Senior and cannot be afraid when in your store Thank you MS Dockery [protected]

Dollar Tree district manager/ vancouver wa store #2508

While in my car about to leave on August 9, 2018 at 10:30pm I witnessed a woman who identified herself as the district manager stop an employee after hours while he was on the way to his car and she started reprimanding him in the parking lot where anyone could hear her. She was degrading and used unprofessional language. As a customer I found it completely unprofessional to have that kind of talk outside of closed doors and where the public could be witness to it. This went on for at least 15 minutes.

Dollar Tree the inside of the store is a complete disaster

Today, August 10, 2018 around 2pm I walked into the Dollar Tree at 4873 W. Commerce street. I am truly disappointed in the Dollar Tree stores and confused as to why they are in such disarray. If I had to work there, I would be humiliated and embarrassed. I know the Dollar Tree stores located in the wealthier sides of town do not look like this. Is Dollar Tree fine with allowing people that are less fortunate to experience this kind of shopping...they don't deserve anything better?It's unacceptable.
The floors and walkways are a dangerous safety hazard. Every isle (and I mean every isle) has merchandise tossed on the floors, the shelves are filled with random items that don't belong and are falling off. Boxes were filled with merchandise and left stacked all around and walking through the isles difficult to say the least. Not only was it tough to find what I needed, it was challenging to walk without tripping on things.
This was an awful experience and I feel very bad for those employees working there. Dollar Tree needs to hire staff full time and allow plenty of additional hours to keep the store safe, clean and maintained all the time. What kind of company allows their employees to work in an environment like that? Have they no respect for their customers as well? The higher-ups in the Dollar Tree chain should be mortified and ashamed of how they allow their company to operate a business. Remember the customers choose where they want to shop and without them, there wouldn't be a company. Your employees working lower on the ladder deserve a nice place to work. Please fix it.

Dollar Tree the staff and management

I frequent the location on Baseline and archival regularly but today was TERRIBLE. The cashier and management on the 8:00 a.m shift were the rudest, unconcerned low level customer NON-service givers I've ever encountered here.

I went in needing balloons to which the casket says "We don't have no helium." I replied, "ANY helium." I then asked did she know when they would have any to which she replied a cold "NO." Then I asked if asking her manager would be asking her to do too much. She rolled her eyes and said, "No." as she yelled across the room to her incompetent manager;

"Do you know when we're getting helium?" And her "manager" yells back, "NOPE". I'm sorry, WHAT? Nope? Not, a, "I'm not sure ma'am, but we've been out for a few days." Instead I get a "NOPE" from across the room and when I went over to her to ask who else besides her could I speak to she tells me with an ignorant grin on her face "I'm it."

Then says "we've been out for a week." I called her a liar because I was JUST there Tuesday and a man purchased a large supply of balloons. I told her I'd be contacting her corporate office and then everyone's attitude changed.

Just because it's the DOLLAR TREE doesn't mean we should receive BOTTOM LEVEL, LOW BUDGET SERVICE.

Dollar Tree service at downtown store in wilkes-barre, pa

Last Wednesday, 8/1 I was told that I had to leave the store in Wilkes-Barre. I was trying to locate Gatorade, which I found, and while I line to purchase the items. I was told that I needed to immediately leave the store. I asked why, and was informed that I was a shop-lifter, who was seen stuffing my backpack with items on a previous occasion. I had been in the store previously to purchase drinks, stationary and other staples. I live in Scranton, nearby. I stopped in the Dollar Tree prior to going to the Osterhour Library. I go to downtown Wilkes-Barre about once a week. I was told that I was recorded on videotape shoplifting. When I asked if I can view the video, I was told no, that the manager was not in. I returned the next day, and inquired to the first cashier in the store if I can talk to the manager. The cashier got the manager, who I discussed the situation when. It turns out said cashier was the one whom insisted that I was the shoplifter. I asked the manager if I could review the video, and was refused. She told me to leaves the store at once.
I should not have been treated in this shoddy and unprofessional manner.

Dollar Tree gift card bought online

I bought a gift card online and after over a week had not been mailed. I was told I would get charged when the gift card was mailed out. after 1 1/2 weeks I got a cs rep from dollar tree emailing me.

and after 2 1/2 weeks I called again. I did tell them my daughter did get it
Then they said- well how are you going to pay for it. I said the payment was authorized through paypal and still pending on dollar tree's part.

they said I would have to repay. I said no way. She said well then they can make the gift card unusable. i said- THEN DO IT!

I then emailed pamela the [censored] from dollar tree and said to clear it from my paypal account she would need to contact paypal.

all the [censored] did was send a picture of the transaction saying it will not be good after august 19th.
I said to her so you are just going to sit on your [censored] and do nothing. what a [censored]

never ever buy a online gift card from dollar tree
I do not trust them one bit to not try to get that money anyway

Dollar Tree manager

I am an employer at the Dollar Tree in Mt. Sterling KY. Store 1127.
We have had no SM for a month now so it has been hectic, plus having to deal with inventory. We have this manager outside of our district at the time from ashland ky store her name is kerry wilson. The soul purpose of her coming into our store was to help with get this store where it needed to be due to inventory. Mind yall this store is a model store, it looked like a model store when it was first built in its new location. But now it does not because of poor leadership from both SM's and DM's. Anyways, this Kerry woman has not been too friendly with any of the employees here. She is very disrespectful to everyone. She talks to us like we are beneath her. I have tried to tell on her but it is not working at all. She started talking to people this way on DAY 2 of being here. Every employee that we have is threatening to quit, we are short on employees already we can not afford to lose any more. I am threatening to quit also if nothing is to be done about this woman. Her attitude is uncalled for, and she is not very professional at all. I feel like is there to harass anyone and everyone that she can. It is getting too out of hand and i can not bear another day working with this woman. This has been complaint #2 sent out to you guys about this woman. THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE.

Do not waste your time working with a company that does not care about you . If you stay you will look back and think where did the years go. No recognition or acknowledgement. Look to work with another company that will appreciate you. If you can deal with this chaos you are definitely worth hiring somewhere else do not sell yourself short. Good luck live a life worth living

On Tuesday August 7th 2018 I Lisa Porter went in to the dollar Tree in brookehaven pa around 2:00pm with my son. I was looking for a storage container and I couldn't find it so I asked the girl who worked there she was up front and another girl said I'll help you come this way I said great thanks so we go over to the storage containers and she picks up a small one and says here I said I don't need a small one I need the big one so she got the big one and shoved it in my hand and walked away with an attitude I looked at my son asking what was that about he said he don't know so I asked the girl what was the problem she turned around and came at me with her finger in my face saying I was rude to her house I said was I didn't need this moment so words were exchanged and she told me she was going to punch me in the store and she

Dollar Tree plastic cups

To Whom It May Concern
I am writing in regards to having difficulties exchanging a product that I purchased at dollar tree. The store number is 5312 and the address is 7802 Metropolitan Avenue Middle village NY, 11379. I purchased 20 pink party cups in a plastic wrap on 08/03/18 15:19 and my sales associate name was Joshua at the time. These specific party cups I found in the party section where the table cloth and paper plates were located. Today on 08/07/18, I went to the dollar tree to exchange four products all together with the receipt. A cashier yelled out to the sales associate today which his name is Justin that in order for him to do an exchange he needs to call the manager. The manager then came out of his room and said what are you trying to exchange. I took the items out of the bag and then he said in a sassy voice "you got the receipt'" I said yes, I do. He went slowly through every item to make sure that all my items were purchased at dollar tree so he started calling them out one by one. I walked away to place the shopping cart back and he called out "Mam" i'm sorry but one of these items you did not purchase here. I then said all items that i'm exchanging were purchased here. He then told me that he has worked in that store for three years and he has never seen that item. I proceeded to tell him that that the item was purchased here. He began arguing with me that no it was not and that I must have purchased it somewhere else. I was extremely furious at this point because he insinuated that I was lying about a product that I paid a dollar for at dollar tree. It isn't so much about the price but more about the principal in this scenario. He handled himself in an extremely unprofessional manner. On the receipt it does say red party cups but I assure you that those party cups were purchased at dollar tree and if I paid one dollar for an item I should be able to exchange the item at the store in which it was purchased for something else. I told him if he didn't believe me he can go back to Fridays camera and watch me purchase the item. He then said " Mam I aint going to do that" and " I aint trying to argue with you". I am extremely disappointed because I shop at dollar tree frequently and I have never experienced customer service like this yet alone the item is in a closed container with a plastic wrap. It is extremely disappointing that I was unable to exchange unused cups with a receipt because the receipt said red although the cups were pink. I think that this is unfair and not my fault that I purchased an item I had no idea dollar tree didn't carry. It was not a problem For dollar tree to charge me and take my money for this item and then give me a hard time time to exchange it.

Ignorant Cashiers, Don't have NO Carts, Unorganized, Dirty, & for this to be a New Store, they sure know how to make it look beat down. My Mom lost her Food Stamp Card & this Bald head black ignorant guy just felt like he had some vendetta against her. didn't have no care to help her look for it or to see if it was in the store. idk why or how they managed to hire ignorant jackrabbits like this. if you don't like your job, then quit & find something that suits you. plain & Simple..

Dollar Tree employees

Went into the Millington Tn store today around 3:00 pm central standard time. Used the restroom and it was in horrible shape! There was a sign on the wall that stated that if the bathroom wasn't clean please notify the staff! Well after exiting the restroom I just wanted to germx my hands. I then warned the lady that was waiting to use the bathroom with her small granddaughter that it was not in good condition so if she could to wait to do so. I then dug around in my purse for he germx! Found it then started walking to the front! As I got around to the middle about 7-9 employees lined up and were chattering/whispering about me and just kept lookin at me ! So I asked them what was the problem?! The what seemed to be a man actually was a female started screaming at me just Random nonsense!? I told her that there was a sign in the bathroom stating that if the bathroom was not cleaned that I need to notify an employee so I let them know that the bathroom needed to be cleaned! They then informed me this wasn't their store and they didn't have to do such a thing! Then I was cursed at more than once! I made my way to the front by my husband! My husband asked to speak to the manger! The manager said they (unruly employees) were not from her store and she couldn't do anything about it! Well it kept on and on! So the employees went outside and tried to rally their friends! Continually calling me a hoe and who knows what else! Then they began yelling from outside in the front of the store that they hated white people and that I could get my [censored] beat right now! This was completely unexceptionable! Luckily for me I'm not that scared of anything! So my husband tells the manager to call the police bc it wasn't gonna be pretty if they try anything once we got outside! Well they didn't do anything but talk [censored]! And threaten me some more! It is my understanding that the unruly employees came from the Austin Peay store! I can honestly tell you I will never go to either store ever again if this is how I'm gonna be treated! If you have any questions please call me at [protected]! My name is Kristy Holland!

Dollar Tree the manager on duty dee

I went to the dollar store on North McDowell in Petaluma as I always do. There was a different manager on duty her name was Dee. I had problems with my card, I went outside to fix it ask them if they can just suspend hold the transaction cash it out I knew I could be rectified. I came in three minutes later they proceeded to have me waiting line again which was fine, when I got to the front of the line explained my situation she made me get in line again. Then the manager D proceeded to be snotty and rude to me about the whole situation I got upset, not going to lie and then of course your attitude changes. I do not sign that okay when I spend a lot of money in your stores on a weekly basis. Manager should be hired that can deal with problems not create bigger ones

Dollar Tree general manager

My Daughter Alexis was hired at our local Dollar tree on 34th St w in Bradenton, Fl [protected]
Works hard comes to work on her days off when nobody else does, also has worked at other stores when needed.
Alexis was working today 08-07-2018, the general Manager came in the store while Alexis was working. Alexis grabbed a drink inbetween customers for it was busy. Had not yet paid for it, but had every intention of paying for it once customers were gone, as she always does an has permission from the working Manager Amy. The General Manager Debbie saw that Alexis had not yet paid for her drink an keep in mind she is the only colored woman who works at this store. An told Alexis she was fired. I'm sorry if there has not been an issue before why now? I strongly feel that Ms Debbie was looking for a reason to terminate Alexis due to the color of her skin an thats discrimination. The Manager on duty Amy tried sticking up for Alexis an the General Manager wrote her up an told her that was the last time or ahe would be terminated. I don't think a woman like Ms Debbie should be working for a well known company an terminates people for the color of there skin

Dollar Tree service

The cashier at amite dollar tree name CC has a very bad way of being a cashier she complained about keep having to do voids on people Things and she mention if she had to do one more she was gonna quit she also stated to me that the other worker didn't want to work but I had been in the store 30 maybe 40mins and when I seen her the first time she was picking up and putting items back on the shelves from a buggy that she had and when I seen her before I headed to check out she was sweeping the floor with a dust mop the cashier was wrong for what she was saying about the other worker and I don't think working for Dollar tree is the kind of job she needs just getting out of high school, she rung my items up and slammed my bag down to the end of the register she also didn't try to offer me a box or wrap my glasses up that I purchase I ended up losing one of my glasses because it broke as I was pushing them outside.

Dollar Tree worker

Older lady attitude was terrible, she didn't greet no one coming in she was Super slow ringing up customers she didn't ask hi how are you doing or anything. I guess something happened a few few stores down and 3 police came up she went to the door to see what was happening. She nevered apologized for the long wait or anything, she didn't say thank you for shopping with us, she was just horrible and not to mention she answered her cellphone while with a customer. She's the one with 2 Braids in her hair

Dollar Tree too dirty, under staff, and the manager is so rude...

To whom it may concern:
I would like to report the staff of the store at 1999 Barataria Blvd in Marrero Louisiana 70072. The managers Mr. Jamie is so rude and Ms. Carol I found out she does the schedules and every time I goes there they always has one line open and the line is down the isle. I have a child work their and they don't give they no days to work. The owner need to do a pop up visit this store asap .

Dollar Tree store 1663 management

Hello, my name is Kevin Cassar.
I went to work as schedule on 08/06/2018 . I said to my boss the assistant manager at the time "hey I'm gonna go to the bank on my break" the bank is in the same complex as the store. I wanted to cash my check to get a drink at work. She said "if you go there on your break don't bother coming back" . That being said I didn't feel she or Dollar tree could dictate what I did on my break, so I went to the bank and currently at home trying to reach someone in HR to get this resolved weather she's in the right or wrong I just want answers and someone to talk to. I feel that she had no right to terminate me based I was going to the bank in the same complex and that I was on my break.

There is a manager there by the name of kerry, she is extremely rude to her employees she talks down to her employees like they are beneath her. I heard her scream at her managers everytime I have came there to shop. This poor store has gone through "hell" their loyal employees deserves respect and a break. I have spoken to their upper handed manager once before when I was in there to complain on her and he acted like he didnt want to do anything about it. Thus is such a great store and have wonderful people in here working but that woman is evil! You all need to get her out of there !
